I always thought Tram Coffee was popular for its coffee, and I am not a coffee person, so I never visited the store before, but today I just realized that their fruit tea is just as good. I tried the Peach Orange Tea with 25% sugar and regular ice, and it was so refreshing! I think there's lemongrass in the fruit tea, which adds a really nice flavor and makes the drink even more refreshing. The regular size is $7, while the large is $9.50, but the large is really huge! Definitely a good option if you're looking for a refreshing drink. The staff was friendly and helpful too. I'll definitely be back to try more of their fruit teas! read more

Nice trendy coffee Spot in downtown Hayward。my first time here and found out that they have wide selection of fruity teas and Vietnamese coffee mixed drinks, along with some snacks. Was in downtown on a Saturday to decided to stop by to try their matcha since I don't drink coffee. The interior was quite spacious and seats were available both inside and outside. I really liked the minimalist look. There were a few customers waiting in line around noon. A kiosk was available, but I decided to order from the staff instead. Initially I wanted the strawberry matcha latte but ended up ordering the matchahaya instead. It's basically an ice-blended matcha mix with Tram's signature cream. The drink was surprisingly not too sweet and the matcha didn't taste watered down even though it was mixed with ice. The ice could have been blended a bit longer to make it smoother. Overall, a great matcha/coffee spot to try if you're in downtown. I would like to try other items on their menu next time I stop by. read more

Love this new addition in downtown! We've been coming here to try different things. We def have our favorites - def the banana latte, double matcha, banana matcha and matcha w ube foam. Their drinks are good - they just put a lot of ice, so def ask for less ice. The foam sometimes could be too thick to drink the beverage but the flavor is good. I tried the matcha latte and my husband tried the VIP coffee, our kids got the milk tea and one of the fruit teas-- I think it was mango? I don't remember lol The matcha was REALLY creamy and thick. On Sunday mornings, I like to grab coffee from a coffee shop as a treat. My wife suggested I pickup from Tram Cream Coffee as it is fairly close by. They are conveniently located in downtown Hayward and at 7am, there was ample parking near by. They have a large selection of cold & hot drinks. I've come by a couple of times now. The first time it was a quiet weekend after brunch on a weekend. I got the Matchahaya, which is basically a matcha Frappuccino. It was good, but not as strong in matcha taste as I expected it to be. In the pictures, the matcha is a deep green but when I received it the color was a pale green with a dollop of what seemed like a darker more concentrated matcha cream. I did like the taste of the drink, which was surprisingly floral in taste. I like the indoor space. The second time, January 2026, there was a DJ on the weekend and the music was blasting! He was blasting good millenial music mashups, I loved his taste lol, but damn it was loud and I could barely hear myself talk. I was torn between the egg coffee or the ube cream coffee. The staff told me that the egg coffee is stronger, while the ube cream coffee was lighter because of the ube cream. I went with the ube cream, and I was shocked at how strong it still tasted! We both enjoy grabbing matcha together, so he suggested meeting at Tram Cream Coffee since it was convenient for both of us. The drink was good, but I'm not sure if I'll come back. All drinks are made with nondairy milk. The matcha was fine, and the sesame was nutty but quite light. I'd say overall the drink was fine, it did caffeinate me, but the matcha quality wasn't the best. For the price, I'd wish for either more drink and less ice or better quality. My friend enjoyed his but also thought they gave too much ice. Tram Cream Coffee is a coffee chain with several locations throughout the Bay Area. Okay, the first time I had Tram coffee, it was at Vietnam town and I got the egg coffee or vip. I didn't know why there was so much ice and the coffee was superrrr strong!!! Being Viet myself, I should've known you're supposed to let all the ice melt so it waters down the coffee; because viet coffee is super strong!!! I didn't really drink viet coffee like that back then, so i didn't know lol. But yes, you're supposed to let it melt! 1 small iced matcha latte with oat milk I've been wanting to try this place in downtown Hayward and decided to stop by for an early morning matcha. The location is great--right in the heart of downtown Hayward. It's a lovely spot with a cute interior and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offers a good variety of options. Customer service, however, was mixed. The cashier could use improvement in customer service skills and wasn't very friendly or welcoming. On the other hand, the lady who made my drink was extremely sweet and even asked if I wanted more sweetener. I also noticed afterward that there's a self-service kiosk available for ordering. As for the drink, I'd give it a 4/5. The sweetness was perfect, and I liked that they use condensed milk for sweetener. The only downside was that the cup had too much ice. Went here with a friend and got a banana matcha since I have been seeing that all over Instagram! The matcha was super creamy and the banana foam was pretty good. I might be wrong but I think they use both artificial and real banana to make the cream top. It tastes best when you drink a little bit of both the matcha and cream top at the same time. I also tried black sesame latte and it was like one of the best coffees I have tried!! I will definitely get that over the matcha next time. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes an employee took my order at the register. Opted for jasmine longon but not serving anymore. I ended up getting the lychee fruit tea. It's like a bougie lychee fruit tea with bits at the bottom and a slice of lime on top. Drink was refreshing but lime did change the flavor profile a bit. You can taste the tea and lychee. I usually order ahead for pickup and I like that they keep my iced drink in the fridge until I come to pick it up. You can also order at the kiosk or with the staff. I have been here maybe 10 times since the opening and this is my first time actually reviewing. My favorite cafe in the area!! So happy to have one of these downtown. Their coffees are really creamy and yummy and STRONG! If vietnamese coffee is your thing, I really recommend the Egg Cream Coffee. If Matcha is your thing, then I suggest Matchaya. Finally got a chance to stop by this coffee shop today after seeing some hype online and honestly, it was just ok if not a little bit disappointing. The space itself is bright and modern, with nice lighting and plenty of seating definitely a spot that looks great in photos or even nice space to get some work done if you're into that. We ordered 2 drinks one was the salted cream coffee and one was the running dragon. I did choose the standard ice option even though there were option of less ice. But the first thing I noticed was the ice to drink ratio was about 80% ice. I mean I could've adjusted the ice ratio but a standard drink shouldn't be that much ice. The ice ratio didn't really affect the coffee taste itself but the ice was so thick that I couldn't even stir my straw in there. For a 7 dollars coffee, that was not worth it. The coffee itself was very mediocre and there was an unpleasant aftertaste for the coffee. The fruit drink was ok and average but again for an almost 8 dollars drink they can do better. Very beautiful interior. Great spot to study at. Tram coffee was originally in San Jose I believe , so it is nice to see one so close to home. It seems new and definitely not as hectic and crazy as the SJ ones. We just tried their banana special drinks - coffee and matcha. Both were delicious. I probably will just stick to normal black or Saigon coffee tho. Sweet coffees aren't my thing, but if you do like banana cream coffee, you should try their drinks. Very tasty. This coffee had me levitating at night, so if you go to Tram make sure to go bright and early (and not at 3 PM like me). I had the bac xiu/white and my boyfriend had the Saigon coffee- both excellent choices. The amount of ice that Tram gives you is abysmal though, I knocked a point off for that alone. It practically fills the entire cup from top to bottom. I liked the Saigon coffee more for the creamy texture, but the bac xiu taste was preferable for me. The taste of the Vietnamese coffee is perfect and has the right amount of bitterness to combat the sweetness of the condensed milk. The vibes here are really clean and well maintained. Matchahaya was so good on this hot Saturday afternoon! Literally my go to when it's too late to order a coffee. It's basically a matcha latte blended with ice topped with the matcha cream. The matcha cream at the top is so good but is it supposed to be this thick??? I will have to investigate further. -- I will have to say that this time it wasnt as good as previous visits. I enjoyed my milk tea boba with 75% sugar. It's not too sweet & I like the extra jelly they add onto the drink. The boba was soft and chewy -- not hard & old. IYKYK. My husband got the yogurt bliss and it's basically a halo halo dessert. Wish they gave you a larger cup or bowl to make it easier to mix. Hubby and I went to Tram Cream Coffee on 8/9. I've been seeing this on my Yelp page but was so hesitant to go because of the review.
