A TP Tea in Pleasanton!!! I feel so proud, we made it y'all. But also, too easy to grab a drink whenever I want... Winter Melon Tea Latte ($5.99): Gosh I was already at the register and I panicked because I hate keeping people waiting and so! Got the drink without adjustments and without adding boba, facepalm. I would probably get 80% sugar next time, but still great flavor. All drinks do not come with toppings unless mentioned in the drink name. Boba Mango Milk Tea ($6.50): This was kind of a smoothie concoction with real mango bits blended in, and I thought it was a little iced down (like watered down yknow?). It had the fresh mango flavor but I wish it was stronger. The boba was good though! They just opened the week of 11/21/2022, and it looked like all the employees are trying their best. I saw at least 4 people coming in and out of the kitchen, so I'm guessing they're still training. It's already a small space, so it might be tough to get indoor seating. Went to their grand opening the week of Thanksgiving. Hours are from 11am to 6pm. Not sure if the hours are updated. So glad TP opened in the east bay, since the only bomb boba spot is Boba Bliss. The difference with TP is that I love that their tea drinks is stronger than Boba Bliss and they don't use much milk. Also they have much more drink options. Gotta say their boba is on point and it's not brown sugar boba. Gonna be going back very often! read more

TP Tea has arrived in Pleasanton! It's located right next to the familiar The Press Cafe. I've always really enjoyed the flavor of their tea from my visits to their location in Cupertino, so hearing that they've opened in a city close to me was exciting! The space is cute and quaint. They have two kiosks that you can order from yourself, or you can go to the cashier to take your order there too. I really appreciated how they had large posters and visuals of their drink selections and their recommendations - this made it much easier for me to choose a drink. I ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea with Crystal Boba. As a note - they are very with the boba they give you here! Their tea is fragrant and I enjoyed the strawberry milk tea very much. At 100% sweetness, it was at the perfect level for me to enjoy. A note however, I expected a more liquid-y consistency but this drink kind of reminded me as a slightly melted slushy instead since it was pretty icy. The staff are friendly and during the time I visited, it was super busy. If you order on the kiosks you get notified via text when your order is ready, but if you go through the cashier I didn't really hear them calling numbers out so I had to check in every now and then myself which was a small downside. read more

So far, so good! Have been here twice and have enjoyed the drinks I've had so far: jasmine green tea with almond jelly and the family milk tea, which comes with coffee jelly, boba, and pudding. Surprised the family milk tea is not listed as one of their Top 20, since I thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminded me of the Sharetea's QQ Happy family milk tea. Boba was nice and chewy. and the flavor of the tea is apparent. Customer service has always been proactive asking if I need any help or clarifications on the drinks. There will never be too many TP Tea! I am so happy another location opened up in the Bay! I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't super busy. There was 2 kiosks to order and only credit cards are accepted. I got the tieguanyin latte with boba and got my drink within 10 min. Some of the toppings were unavailable such as the clear noodles which I always get but unfortunately they were out when I was there. There's a big parking lot but it was almost full when I was there. I assume this place will be super busy during the weekend since it's right next to The Press. If you could, use Snackpass to order ahead and avoid the wait! read more

I have visited this boba shop a handful of times now and I am really glad they opened up here! I love their Tie Guan Yin tea and all of their drinks I've tried - fruity or not, have been delicious. I got the TGY (Tie Guan Yin) Family milk tea which consisted of oolong milk tea with pudding, boba, and coffee jelly. This was almost a whole meal in a cup with the amount of toppings in this drink! The pudding was nice and smooth, and oh so light, boba was al dente and delicious, the coffee jelly was very fragrant. The tea itself was extremely aromatic. I wish the fragrance from the tea came as a cologne so I can wear it on me. Saw this place on Yelp as a new hot spot so I decided to give it a try. Came on a weekday around 2 pm and it was empty. Got greeted right away and placed our orders. They don't accept cash so bring your credit/debit cards! Place is very clean and there's a few chairs for waiting. We ordered a Kyoto uji matcha latte with boba and mango matcha latte with boba (total was $15 with tips). It's a bit pricey for boba but I don't mind paying the price if it's good quality! Boba was nice and chewy and the matcha flavor was pretty strong. I ordered 30% sugar level and it's still a bit too sweet for me so I'll reduce the sugar % even more next time. It's a pretty small store there's some seating inside and out, it was super hot there wasn't any AC as the doors were wide open in the summer heat. I only sat inside to wait because there would be no way I am surviving the heat from inside. The service is good you can order at kiosk or from the worker. I definitely want to come back and try the other drinks. We've come to this place a thousand times, and it always delivers!! We prefer fruity drinks and less sweetness, and these are our favorites. Strawberry milk tea is THE BEST It has a nice slushy texture but not too icy. We like it 15% sugar (or 30% before they added the 15% option) - good combination of tea flavor and sweet and sour strawberry flavor. Pineapple ice tea with tea jelly at 30% is fruity and refreshing! I don't usually get pineapple drinks because they tend to be too sweet and taste artificial but not at this place. We enjoy this drink a lot :) Emerald lemon aiyu green tea at 30% is something new that we tried this time. Very refreshing and on the more sour side (would prob get 50% next time) but def a good choice for the summer! Will come back every time we are around the area read more

Came here on a whim yesterday. We were in the area and decided to get some boba. Tbh, I was entirely sure what to get but walked in anyway. It was a Saturday at 5pm and there was no one there. I was greeted by a couple of workers and then I proceeded to search through the self-ordering kiosk. I wasn't sure what I wanted but when I saw the milk tea with QQ noodle, I was intrigued. I asked the person behind the counter what QQ noodles were and she said it's their signature topping and offered me a sample. That caught me by surprise and of course agreed. It was basically like boba but clear and in a noodle form. I was sold. Ended up ordering the Taiwan classic milk tea which came with boba, QQ noodle and jelly at half sweet. The wait wasn't very long. The drink was actually sweet, really didn't expect that since I ordered it half sweet. The boba was nice and chewy, the noodles were interesting. I know I tasted it but, having it in my drink seemed different. Felt like worms in my mouth but tasted like boba hahah I think I'd try something else next time and probably order it at 25% sweet, since half sweet was still too sweet for my preference. I usually get TP TEA at San Jose (consistently good) or San Mateo (usually good). I came on a Friday around 12:40pm, ordered on the kiosk and got my drink within 5 minutes. Only a few other people were inside or outside the store. As always, my go to order is the tie guan yin milk tea with boba. 30% is almost perfect, not too sweet with a nice tea and milk flavor. I could honestly go for a little less sweet, and I might try 15% sugar next time. The boba is nice and QQ/chewy, but it seems a bit inconsistent with a few balls slightly harder. All in all, this location pretty much meets the expectations of the other TP TEA locations! read more

My new favorite place to pick up some boba tea. This is more of a Pick up To Go spot. There's not much seating or ambiance here to hang out. The tea is spot on! Rich and not watered down. My favorite is that they have almond & coffee jelly which isn't at other tea locations around the area. They only have one 20 oz size for all their drinks. It can come hot or cold & you can select your sugar & ice level for most drinks. Fast & quick service. They have a few self checkout standees & you can also order from the cashier. I used to drive all the way to Cupertino to get a taste of this tea from Taiwan. Now I can just drive 15-20 min. I'm so happy they opened here. The parking lot here is generally fairly easy except when it's prime lunch time because of the lunch spots around. read more

OMOMO DUPE??? Honestly, this place reminded me a lot of it! It's probably the closest alternative to Omomo I've came across in the Bay Area so far. The inside space was a little small with limited seating, so not the most ideal for larger groups. There are two kiosks that you can self-order, which accept card only. Otherwise, cute + clean interior and quick service. With inflation happening, it's shocking that boba drinks are now at least $6. Especially if you're a fast drinker and can finish an entire cup in under 5 minutes! $6 *POOF*, gone. But TP Tea really did the damn thing! I ordered the Thai Tea Brulee Tornado (100% sweet), one of their specialty drinks and was super impressed at how strong the thai tea flavor was. Typically with frappe-style milk teas, it often gets diluted by the ice and the tea flavor gets lost. This was delicious paired with the brulee swirl which added a rich, creaminess to the drink. I would've liked a stronger matcha flavor but that's more of personal preference! I was driving through Pleasanton and stopped here for boba because I was told that their drinks were good. I ordered the Taiwanese Milk tea and a couple of other drinks for my family. The Taiwanese Milk Tea had boba, grass jelly, and QQ noodles which are similar in texture to regular boba balls but are just shaped like noodles. Location/Experience: 10/10 TP Tea is inside Mission Plaza, so there's not too much parking, but I've always been able to find a spot. I ordered with the cashier and the drinks took about 10 minutes to come out, but it was relatively fast since they just opened! Taste: 10/10 I tried the Strawberry Milk Tea, Chocolate Oreo Milk Tea Smoothie, & the Tie Guan Yin Tea Latte. My favorite drink was the Strawberry Milk Tea with 50% sugar. It was a perfect amount of sweetness with me and it was a smoothie drink, which surprised me but was still good. I got it with the tea jelly, which is my new favorite I've tried both the hot and the iced Tie Guan Yin tea latte, and I personally preferred the hot version more. Even with 0% sweetness, it was sweet enough with the tea jelly inside and it was very fragrant, which I liked. The tea jelly does melt a little in the hot version, though. I wasn't a huge fan of the Chocolate Oreo Milk Tea Smoothie since it was very sweet even with 50% sugar and and the smoothie wasn't as smooth because of the oreo. My favorite topping is definitely the tea jelly, since it's got a great tea flavor and is more unique. But, I also enjoyed the QQ noodles because they're so chewy and the boba is standard mini boba. Woah, watch out Boba Bliss! TP Tea is probably the only other milk tea place in the proximity of this area that is just as good. I didn't even know TP Tea had opened up until I stopped by for Brunch at The Press this past Monday. I was super excited about it and ordered a Green Jasmine Milk Tea after having food. Though it's a quaint store, there is ample parking in the plaza and it's nicely decorated/has a clean look to it. The moment you enter, you are immediately greeted by the staff members and then can look around at the menu. They offer a variety of toppings and customizing options - which is extremely awesome! I like being able to adjust sweetness & ice levels! I've been to TP Tea 3-4 times this week alone and the milk teas are super consistent. I think the menu is concise; basing off the names you can tell which drink has toppings included or not. Though the drinks are steep, between $5.50-$6.50, TP Tea actually do not skimp out on the add-ons. I repeat - they do NOT skimp out on the add-ons. You absolutely get your money worths by paying the extra 65-75 cents for the toppings here, which is by far so much better than any of the other milk tea places I've been to (including Boba Bliss, my #1 favorite milk tea place). Probably the most important factor why I am giving this a 5-star review rather than a 4-star. In addition, the staff members are super friendly and helpful if you are ever confused. The level of cleanliness they take, is also commendable. The drinks are made to order and you can see them working in the background; they definitely put a lot of care into each drink, ensuring it's up to par and even wiping down each cup to ensure it's not sticky before passing it off to you! 100% recommend this place!
