Not much ambiance and definitely no frills, BUT, the food is absolutely amazing. The wings are a magnitude ahead of anything you'll ever get at a chain fast food place, and the burgers are to die for. Good selection of beer, and some hard-to-find soft drinks. The prices are pretty reasonable too. This place is a neighborhood favorite. When the weather's nice, there's nothing like sitting out on the patio with good friends, good food, and good beer, and watching the world go by. Toxic Wings is one of those "secret" places that makes Eugene unique and special. Definitely don't miss this one. Coming back to southern oregon from a work meeting in Portland my coworker and I stopped in Eugene for dinner. Due to having to eat gluten free (not by choice) I was forced to choose a place with such options. Not only did they have gluten free options but the majority of their food is! We were both really hungry and decided to split 30 boneless wings and fries. The wings came with 6 different sauces to dip from and they had plenty more to choose from. It was a lot of food! I was very pleased to eat my wings at the Little Woody Festival this weekend where Toxic Wings was a vendor. I was especially impressed with the prep of the wings, the smoke flavor and the service. Its not easy pulling off great food a venue that isnt in your own kitchen. The Toxic Wings staff were ready though and smoked the wings slightly before they arrived and then finished them in a fryer - fresh - before serving them. The wings were tasted amazing! I loved the smoky flavor and tenderness of the meat. The fries were also crisp and hot. The service was exceptional and the staff truly care about what they serve. It shows. Wings are one of my all-time favorite dishes and I can really get behind a restauranteur that cares this much about their food quality and service. The sauce was a take off of Franks Hotsauce (which I like) they gave me the option of sauce on the side or the wings tossed. Pshaw - I always prefer my wings tossed and they easily obliged me. I have only two things I wished for in this dish: (1) to encourage them to make their own homemade sauce and or (2) an awesome coleslaw or veg to go with the dish. DISGUSTING, First I will start with the name, I thought it was just a gimmick, but I became horribly ill after eating this toxic food. Another thing that irked me, is that I had to get it delivered, instead of eating in the establishment. If I saw what the building looked like, I would've never set foot in the Buisness. The workers are too scared of this fake pandemic that the liberals created, as a trump supporter, I found it quite offensive. I ordered some sauce to go with it, and my stomach was in pain, let's just say my toilet looked like an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, NOT PLEASANT!! The driver that delivered the food, WAS WEARING EAR GAGES BY THE WAY! I said 3 heil marries just because I was in the presence of a sinner. Not to mention my husband, William, had a no good time as well. William lost all of his teeth 5 years ago, and ruined his denture on the chewy chicken. The money I used I to pay for the replacements was supposed to me for my granddaughters birthday! The gentleman explained their burgers and grass feed beef, their incredible sauces, their freshly baked burger buns, their homemade and high quality ingredients. We ordered and, oh my! Mouth-watering-delicious. Great bacon on the burgers. Awesome sauces on the wings. Awesome sweet potato fries(!). And, when we were done eating, we felt good, not like we'd just binged on junk food. This place is literally my favorite and I have been a long time customer since day one but after tonight I don't think I can go back ever.. Service was quick and great as always. Got the order to go and when we got home the girlfriend found not one not two but three hairs in her food... She found one in her fries and I said maybe it was just off her coat, but then she found another one in her fries and I reassured her that it was probably just from the air or something. Following that she checked her bacon cheese burger and found ANOTHER. At that point she couldn't even take one bite of her burger. My favorite wings in town! Many sauce options, I am a sucker for the classic Franks RedHot. Both Bone-in and Bone-out are huge wings, perfect crispy-ness, and good quality meat. Their salads and burgers are also delicious. I gotta admit I crave Toxic Wings all the time now, especially on Sundays when they are close, which is the only negative about Toxic I can think of. The newest wing place place in town and the only in the river road vicinity. Driving in late at night seemed a little sketchy but it ended up not being to bad. At first the prices seem not so bad. We ordered the 24 wings for 22.99$ but then soon realized at nearly a dollar a wing we were paying premium prices for wings that were some of the smallest I have seen at any establishment in town. These are even smaller than the hot mama's antibiotic and hormone free chicken. These wings were smoked then fried which was pretty good and I like the concept. Just lacking in size. The basket of fries we ordered for 3 dollars were cheap but not the best I have had. A little salt could go a long ways but it wouldn't stick to the fries after we got them. Someone at my party ordered a burger that looked good but the patty was way undercooked and almost rare. The burger prices seemed very reasonable compared to the chicken. I tried 4 sauces. Apricot Chipotle -- b Garlic parm. -- c + Sweet bbq. -- c Pesto ranch. -- d The seating had a cheap feel to it inside a small establishment but the tv for sports was on point and pretty large for the size of the room. Service was very courteous and nice. Consisted of high school to college aged kids on a Friday night. I'd go back, but not on par with chicken bonz and hot mama's. Have eaten here twice in the 2 weeks they have been open so, that in itself should say something. The first time we had the wings to go. I only got boneless wings and fries and they were very good. The wings come "dry" as compared to other places that toss them in the sauce before serving. This is a much cleaner option to eat but I know some like their wings messy. With at least a dozen sauces ranging up the temperature gauge from mild to toxic, I am certain you can find one to your liking. The second time we rode our bikes and enjoyed the burgers on the lovely outdoor patio. I split a 3 slider combo plate with my 10 year old and my husband had a double cheese burger. The burgers were delicious! Toxic is a great addition to the River Road neighborhood and I can only imagine as summer progresses that patio will be full every night. Both times we ate there for 2 adults and a 10 year old the check was under $22 with drinks. Great value, great food and really nice people. Next time I want to try the brisket fries. Burgers were one of the better ones in town, albeit a bit thin for a single. Go for a double patty. My friend and I shared some wings and split a burger. We ended up getting another burger because the first was so good, but not very filling. The buns are by far the best I've had in town and made in house. Brioche, I believe, painted with butter. We loved the wing sauces we chose (pineapple jerk, chili maple line, and Frank's medium). The pineapple jerk won out as the favorite. It is listed as medium hot but we didn't think it was spicy at all. For us, this was just fine, but if someone had wanted spicier, they may have been disappointed. They were out of coconut curry, which a couple people asked for and I heard the recipe is being changed. Also out of a couple beverage options. The wings themselves were pretty small and I've had much bigger for the same price or less at a sports bar in west Eugene. Service was very friendly and attentive though. Much more so than I expected for this type of restaurant where you order at the counter and food is brought to your table. The outside eating area is clean, nice, and comfortable. I will return for the burger for sure, and will consider the wings but it'd be nice to see them use a larger wing. Had an awesome first experience here at Toxic. We were craving wings and so trying out a new place was the only option. 20 Boneless was our order with a couple of sauces we chose. Following our order, we went and sat outside and waited for our order. Following an obscenely long time of waiting, a short blonde gal came out and said that someone else also named James has picked up our order and that they were going to "take care of us". Meanwhile we decided to switch our order to to-go. Once we arrived at our favorite "eating spot" we opened up our huge to-go back and were amazed with what we got: at least 30 Boneless wings and what seemed to have been a container of each sauce they had. Wings are simple, cheap food, but sometimes nothing else will do. DLW and I were in just such a mood one Friday night, so we checked this place out. There is little atmosphere to speak of, just a strip mall looking out on River Road and a couple of tables outside adding a dozen seats to the 30 or so inside. A generic counter service and bus yourself system is to be expected in a wings place. But all that really matters in this game is the food. We had a nightly special of 8 wings with fries, and a cheeseburger. The wings were nicely crisp and hot out of the fryer, so much so that we needed to wait a minute before eating them. The classic sauce was straight Frank's, no butter added, which is not usually DLW's preference, but she liked these as much as any we've had in town. A very large serving of fries was enough for both of us to share, so I didn't bother to get one with the cheeseburger, which was perfectly fine but nothing I would have to order again. Prices are very reasonable, and they have a TV and beer on tap. If you don't like bars, this would be a good place to take in a game. read more

I came back finally and had a Monday Blues Burger and the boneless wings. I remembered to order the wings tossed this time, which definitely made them better than standard. The Boneless wings were made with white meat breast pieces and lightly breaded, just enough to give a slight crunch on edges. I tried the Honey Sriracha which was good but I probably wouldn't get it again before seeing what else they had. It wasn't spicy enough for me but would work for people who are not into heat. The burger was an A++. Very fresh tasting high quality ingredients. Thick bacon, blue cheese crumbles (actually a decent amount) plus the standard burger toppings. The bun was also really good. This place's name belies the quality of food here: Superbly chosen beef and chicken, cooked amazingly (smoked wings!) and a wide selection of sauces. The outdoor seating is really nice, and indoor seating will do just fine. And they have beer. I can't comment on the boneless wings, but the bone-in are so tasty I had to order another basket. Their burger is delicious as well, and the first time I had one, I went back the next day for another. I have yet to try their specials, but they regularly have brisket and cheese steaks (if you get there early enough). I'd give this place 5 stars if I could count on getting their specials when I go for dinner after work, and if they had a more robust beer selection. I hope this place can kick-start a river road food revolution. Thanks for making great food! Edit: I've gotten a couple specials now, all amazing. I have mixed emotions on my stars. Not for service, or anything like that but you see I am a wing nut and these are good and crispy wings that have a different flavor than most places due to the fact that they are smoked but I how ever may not have picked the right flavor of wing sauce? The consistency of the sauce looked icky to me too. I was also kind of surprised not to find a sweet chili sauce. Most wing places have one, or something similar. Anyhow I did like how crispy they were. That rocked! The smokey flavor was great! The French fries are really good! And I stole a bite of the boneless from my not so little kid and it was actually really good!!!! The burgers look amazing I would order one, and I don't like to order them often. Toxic is a decent place. I've been there a few times. Today wasn't any less than good. I ordered a cheeseburger (it was free* because my birthday is this week), fries and 6 bone-in wings. The cheeseburger was good. They always are. The patty was juicy, cheese was perfectly melted, and the veggies were fresh. The only downside is that the bun was too much for one patty. The wings were cooked well. The sauce is on the side unless you ask for the wings to be tossed. Here is the problem: I ordered the honey sriracha flavored sauce and it was awful. I wasn't able to taste honey or sriracha because it tasted spoiled. It seems that it wasn't refrigerated properly. Overall, it was good. Most of the time it's 4 1/2 to 5 place. My husband and I have been wanting to try this place. We are glad we tried it but we won't be eating here again. First, we ordered over the phone to pick up and eat at home. They told us 15 minutes but it ended up being 30 minutes and we had to wait in the store. My husband got the chicken wings with two sauces. Love everything they serve. All of their sauces are amazing. The chicken is juicy and tender every time. This is a go to for lunch for us.

We live in the neighborhood and have probably eaten the burgers and chicken wings dozens of times. The salads, fries, and sauces are very tasty as well. We've always been so impressed, not only by the delicious food but by the spot-on consistency of quality. We've taken family and out of town guests, knowing that they'll agree that the food is fantastic. But we have been disappointed of late! Things are just not as good...and it's across the board.
