I wish I could do a half star, but whatever. The burgers are decent, kind of your classic messy burger. They used canned jalapenos on the Cali burger as far as I could tell and changing the type of cheese and getting sweet potato fries added like $4 onto the original cost. That said, it was good to eat, I enjoyed the sweet potato fries too even though I prefer most fries to be crispier. We also ordered the "boneless chicken wings". Let's just start by saying they are not "chicken wings". It's just chicken breasts sliced up maybe 3/4 inch thick, each piece was just slightly larger than a credit card in size and very lighted breaded (if you could call it that) and seasoned. Definitely lots of protein. Most boneless "wings" I've encountered are not cooked in the exact same way a traditional wing is, and I think that's what is happening here. Anyway, I've had Toxic a few times before and we had in fact ordered these same wings before and had the same disappointing reaction but I clearly didn't do my review before because I wouldn't have made that mistake again. I ordered 'naked' wings with a side of fries. I've never had wings with a sauce I liked because it always tastes like nothing else but the sauce. Might as well ball up a napkin and put sauce on it as it will taste the same. So much for my opinion on sauced wings........ I thought the wings on their own were very good. I was expecting a slightly breaded wing like a little piece of fried chicken. These come bare but are nicely smoked with perfect texture and done-ness. Where they fell flat was the ranch dipping sauce which was slightly thicker than water and devoid of flavor. The fries were pretty good. Properly cooked. The fry sauce was pretty thin too but had some flavor. My recommendation is to order to-go wings and use original ranch dressing. I think that's the way to go. Pretty darn good burgers. Honestly one of the better places to get a burger in Eugene. And west 11th is a wasteland as far as food goes so it's really nice to have on that side of town. I loved the brioche bun that is branded with their logo. Very trendy and instagtammy looking, helps me forget I live in such a small town. The boneless wings are really bad. The dipping sauces, however, are fricking delicious. I used to work close and I are these burgers at least a dozen times. I really liked the mushroom Swiss burgers and they have one of those cool new futuristic soda fountains where you can choose tons of different flavors from a touch screen. The wait staff are all really friendly and all shared a common physical trait lol. I bet whomever does the hiring appreciates an ample derrière. It was a running joke between coworkers. I am SO ADDICTED to the boneless wings! Chicken breasts cut and breaded in gluten free coating and I always notice that there is a little split in them to check that they were cooked to perfection. I ALWAYS have to over order to take some home. My favorite sauce is the raspberry habanero, the burn is incredible and the apricot chipotle is Sooo good! I finally tried a burger and it was amazing! The adjective "toxic" doesn't really elicit excitement or hunger in me, but the only thing toxic about this burger & wing joint is how addictive everything is. Goodbye, skinny jeans- it's curtains for you! The wings are hand-rubbed with TW's secret herb mix, smoked in fragrant clouds of mesquite and hickory, and then fried in rice bran oil. They're served with your choice of 20 sauces (17 of which are gluten-free!), and range from mild to "crazy spicy". Although I like how the smoking process adds a layer of depth to the flavor of the wings, they sometimes come out on the dry side. I am more impressed by TW's burgers, which feature locally-sourced, grass fed beef and buttery brioche buns- which are baked fresh daily by The Bread Stop, and made with local, non-GMO grains. The patties are slender, juicy and flavorful, and made even more delicious when doubled up & sandwiching a melty slice of cheese. It's an especially nice touch that the burger buns are branded with Toxic's signature "X". I'm also a sucker for the chili cheese fries, which hold no secrets- just mounds of house-made chili and gooey American cheese, smothering thin, crisp fries. If chili cheese fries aren't your jam, TW also offers sweet potato fries and bacon cheddar fries. In the mornings, TW offers breakfast burritos and omelets, chicken 'n waffle plates, and Caffé Pacori Coffee. Once I got past the name, I was totally delighted by this wonderful establishment. It's located in the former Burrito Boy location on River Rd. The new owners completely remodeled the space. These new digs include a large Flatscreen TV and a wonderfully remodeled outdoor seating area. This place is creative, fresh and clean. The folks here are extra nice and accommodating. Their sign says wings and fries, but I really think their burgers are something special. These are far from the usual factory burgers that most places have. They are handmade from local grass fed beef and they come on custom-made buns that even have their logo pressed into them. The fries, regular and sweet potato, are also handmade and can be ordered crispier if that's your taste. This is definitely my new place for burgers in the hood. I'm honestly not a big fan of wings. I came hoping for the brisket fries I saw on Instagram, but they only have those on Tuesdays, so I opted for wings. I got 10 boneless wings, because I figured that was a reasonable number, wrong. The wings are huge. I could only eat 5 and a half. They aren't breaded which was a good change. The meat was tender, with a somewhat crispy outside. What really won me over was the fact that there was no gristle in the meat, that's usually why I avoid wings. They put the sauces on the side, which is a lot less messy and allows you to taste the seasoning on the wings by themselves. I got Frank's medium, which I really enjoyed, and lemon pepper, which could have used more lemon. All and all I was more than satisfied with the wings and how light on the stomach and high quality they were, they weren't just cheap chicken and greasy breading. And if the chicken is like the beef they use on the burgers, it is local, free-range, grass-fed. The fries were good normal fries, could use some canjun seasoning, but all fries could. If the brisket is as good as I am hoping, the fries will serve as a superb bedding. They offered me some ketchup and i turned it down, which i now regret, because she made it sound better than normal ketchup. I guess i'll find out when i go back for the brisket fries! read more

Just heard about this place today, everyone I've talked to had good things to say. It was pretty tasty! I ordered a simple 11 wings, the curry sauce and the Apricot chipotle with a sweet tea. The boyfriend got the wing/ fries option, a slider and a soda. The wing flavor was petty darn good on it's own, for me the sauce kind of took away from that. I wasn't a huge fan of the curry. The apricot chipotle was better. They do have a HUGE selection though and I wish I had gone for a spicier option but that's just my personal preference. I know a little better now how they rate their spiciness. The Bone-in wings blow the boneless wings out of the water flavor wise. The fries were pretty good but the fact that they hand make their ketchup definitely adds something to them. The slider was perfect. Next time I'll definitely opt for a burger. Great wings and awesome sauces! My husband had regular wings and asked to have the pineapple jerk and raspberry habanero mixed and he was in heaven! He was super full but tempted to get an order to go anyways. I had 5 boneless wings because I'm weird about meat. They were HUGE and DELICIOUS pieces! Last week we were on our way home from some weekend shopping and realized we totally had not even thought about dinner. Lo and behold we were on River Road and I remembered Toxic Wings & Fries and how I had been wanting to stop in and try their food. We ordered the veggie burger with Swiss. The regular cheese burger, an order of fries and an order of 12 bone in wings with the garlic Parmesan and the chili maple lime sauces. We ordered all of this to go. while we were waiting, a table had ordered the brisket fries and had that brought out to them. it looked so terribly awesome. I immediately wanted to change my whole order and get 4 orders of that instead. I am glad I didn't but will definitely make sure to order them next time. The car ride home proved interesting because we both had to stop ourselves from trying to get into the bag of food. The smell that filled the car was so intoxicating, it took all of our might to wait until we got home. I had to question if it was meat for a moment because the texture was so much more substantial than the crunch-coated mush I was used to. What's "dry" to some is perfect for others, me included. I personally really dislike gristle and fatty parts. I usually never have been able to eat wings down, but Toxic wings changed that. I learned Toxic smoke their wings for about an hour and then fry it. I LOVE THIS. The skin is so crispy and meat is still juicy and moist. I also really enjoy the variety of sauces that they have which lets me try something new every time. Most recently, I had an issue with an online order and all the employees were extremely helpful and empathic in making sure I got it sorted out so I didn't overpay. I wish I could leave more stars. When I first moved to Eugene they had excellent wings. But over the past year or so they changed their wings. Now they're over sized and fatty. Even when I get extra well done they are still way too fatty. There's no point in changing to lower quality wings pumped full of hormones. They aren't good anymore. If you've ever had great chicken wings, you're probably a fan of dry rubs. This place starts with a dry rub on their wings (bone-in and out) and it makes the difference. I'd been looking for a place in Eugene which could compensate for the great wing access I used to enjoy in Las Vegas, and Toxic takes the cake. The bone-in aren't your full wings, or double wings, but they're still delicious. The boneless are by far the best boneless wings I've EVER HAD. They're perfectly seasoned, cooked, and the size of like a whole freaking chicken breast. Way more than worth the price- it's a next level food offering. They have about 15-20 sauces, which all look delicious, and you have to ask for the wings to be tossed in the sauce, otherwise the sauce is on the side. My recommendations: 1) Get your wing sauce tossed so that their perfectly-seasoned chicken flavor shines. 2) For any newcomer or adept to wings, the Franks Medium is absolutely delectable (not too hot, not too vinegary), and my opinion sets the bar for buffalo style wings. 3) It's hard to control your eating with such delicious food, but try to, because your body will feel toxic otherwise. Had this place many times over the past year. Fries are awesome. They have many option for yummy stuff to put on top of them. Pulled pork fries are a go to. Sliders and burgers are yummy and are pretty standard so when there I order them but wouldn't go out of my way for them. The wings are great. I have always been a breaded wing guy but these are great being smoked. Good flavor but where toxic does well is their sauces. Haven't really had anything that is really as spicy as stated but I eat a lot of that type of food. Over all I would say this place is average/above average and will go back because it's close to my house. read more

(I Googled 'best burgers in Eugene' and Google Navigator decided to direct me to this location.) I've never been to any of the other locations but from what I can tell, this location is smaller and less *fancy* than the others. That doesn't take away from why you're there though, the food is pretty darned tasty! I stopped in ~8 p.m. on a late summer Friday night during what appeared to be a break in the action. The woman working the register was tidying up after what I assume was probably a busy dinner time and the place was clean. (I love that!) Super friendly and helpful, she went on to tell me about the wings, boneless wings and burgers and helped me decide on the wings in part because I still had a long drive back to Portland after. (All sounded really good though!) Excellent choice. 6 wings with Frank's Medium sauce and fries was definitely plenty without me leaving stuffed. The wings had a smokey flavor because, well, they're smoked first, and the sauce I selected was the good ol' Frank's which should be the only sauce allowed on wings. The fries were also good. Kind of generic, but still tasty. Hot and salty, they had more personality than they probably should have. The space is on the small side but there are enough tables inside to probably accommodate most anyone that wants to sit inside. There's also a decent sized covered enclosed area outside that should be able to easily handle groups. A nice thing about this location is there's plenty of lot parking right there. You go to this Toxic location to eat good wings (or burgers, which also looked very good) and it's perfect for that. All things considered, I could tell the place was popular as customers continued to trickle in as closing time neared. We got 30 boneless wings to split between two hungry guys and it was waaaaay to much. We each took home 8 wings. I don't remember which sauces we got but there is a pretty big selection. Today was my first visit. After reading Yelp reviews, I expected juicy or moist wings. Didn't happen. Very disappointed. Great flavor, just very dry. Are they supposed to be like jerky? I'm not a wing-eater, normally, so I don't know. I don't cook my chicken that much. Also, the coleslaw was very good. Kept thinking it was a bit dry, though. Again, great flavor, and very fresh.
