We. Love. This. Place. I will be here every weekend. Yup. You can find my culinary indulging self at the bar. Every time with eaten here we've been blown away by the food. It honestly doesn't even matter what you order, you can try the specials or the new items on the menu or the classics, you will always leave impressed and satisfied. This is a beautifully crafted menu and each entree is made with tender love and care and finesse. The ingredients are clearly extremely high-quality and the food is prepared expertly and always cooked to the right temperature and density. We left so happy after trying the brick chicken the other night. Like holy smokes. Portions are huge and worth the $$. You're truly do that when you pay for. Also the help is extremely professional and efficient and attentive. They hire really good people here. This is where you should aspire to work if you're in the service industry. My fave food place ever I had the lamb chops with mint jelly was cooked to perfection a lot of my party had steaks and they said that it was the best steak they ever had my favorite by far is the potato cake it is a special but personally I think they should make it a permanent thing on the menu read more

First time at Tosca and I now understand the hype! Was a very nice and quiet restaurant! With great staff and delicious food. Started with the Calamari it was a a larger portion but very light and not too greasy or heavy I'm batter. I got the WOOD GRILLED MAINE LOBSTER. It was very good with a savory sauce and a smokey flavor in the veggies and lobster. Ended the night with the crème brûlée and chocolate chip cookies. First time visiting this restaurant last night. We went for a birthday celebration and would recommend for special occasion or just for a a great dinner. We were seated right on time for our reservation and greeted promptly by our server, Ethan. Ethan was the perfect combination of server being there when you needed him and offering suggestions when asked, without being too attentive. My family and I went here for a birthday celebration. For appetizer, we ordered the bibb lettuce salad to share. The salad came with letttuce, bacon crumbles, avocado, and gorgonzola dressing. The salad was very tasty. I liked their complimentary bread basket. The bread was very fresh. I especially liked the raisin and walnut bread. So yummy! I wonder if they sell it by the loaf? For an entree, I ordered the veal milanese special. The entree came with a big slice of fried veal with arugula and radicchio sprinkled on top with parmesan cheese. The veal was tender and juicy. It was delicious. Service was very attentive and the waitress was really nice. The only minus was that the restaurant was a bit dark. Hope to try other things next time. read more

Unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. Went on a Wednesday night and we had reservations. We had said that it was our marriage anniversary and would like a seat in the restaurant that would make it "special". The hostess then proceeded to seat us dead center of the dining area at a 4 person table. It really made no sense that she would put us there when there were so many open tables that were better, but whatever, we're simple people no big deal. I was served a Jack and coke that tasted like water and non carbonated soda. Pretty bad, had to send it back. The wine was good though. Calamari was good. Boar Bolognese was really good. The steak medallions not good unfortunately. Dry and tough, brought home for my dog to eat. Wish I had gotten the Ribeye instead. read more

Love the atmosphere!! Some of the meals could have been better. The filet mignon was very fatty. There were 6 of us, 3 had the filet and complained (amongst ourselves) that it was way too fatty for that cut of beef. We found friends that happened to be there the same night and 2 of the party (there were 5 of them) got the filet mignon and said the same. The other meals were amazing, as were the apps, drinks and desserts. I would still recommend but hope they work on the filet mignon situation. It's disappointing to go to a high scale restaurant and have fatty filet. The place was so packed, as it always is. Stood behind a couple getting ready to leave for 10-15 minutes. Never acknowledged or offered a drink. When the couple left and we move to sit down the bartender says she needs to check if someone else wants the seats...which they do. No way to reserve a bar seat, and waiting for one doesn't count either..next time tell the couple standing without drinks that you have no plans to serve them and that you have friends you are going to give the seats to. read more

My wife and I Went for dinner after a school event. To start we were treated great, given two wines to taste of which we chose one for our meal. Bread and tapenade in olive oil was great as was the blossom appetizer. Then dinner came... sadly my wife's salmon was very overcooked and dry, along with dry mashed potatoes and dry cauliflower. Excess horseradish was overbearing. My cod was good but also had horseradish in the mix. Not the best combo here either. Waitress never came to ask how the meal was though oddly she did ask the neighboring tables. She must have known it wasn't very good? When we were on the way out the manager asked how the meal was and we explained about the dry salmon plate. We got a "sorry" but I would have expected more follow up and questions. It's an expensive restaurant. Be very tough to convince us to go back. read more

The place is beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Perfect martini and then there's the food Fried calamari came out a big cohesive blob of tentacles with no sauce. We sent it back. The chef needs to edit. The prosciutto was completely drenched in a fig sauce plus a basil oil and the grilled pineapple and chipino onions made no sense and added no flavor. Scallops with herb salad was mixed. Herbs were delicious but needed acid. The scallops had no flavor - no seasoning - no acid. I will eat the herb salad any day. My friend's tenderloin medallions meal was very good. She's from South Carolina and wouldn't go there again. read more

I was looking for a special place for dinner to celebrate our 5th Year Anniversary, and Tosca was just that! We were welcomed with great service as soon as we set foot inside. The drinks were delightful as well as abundant (their options offered were plentiful). We also ordered a pizza from their daily specials and each our course meal. The pizza was light and flavorful, while our meals were cooked just as ordered--quite the night out! Brilliant! I was taking someone important out for a Saturday nigh dinner. She loves Italian so I started looking for the spot. My initial look through the menu led me to believe it may not be right for my vegetarian partner. After inquiring with Chris the manager earlier in the week, he assured me that they would cook anything my important guest desired. It was fabulous. They made an insanely good pasta dish with zucchini pesto that knocked her socks off. For me a Wild Boar Bolognaise that was outstanding. Best restaurant on the South Shore, upscale dining in a casual environment. Everything is to die for! Hard to get in, so I'd recommend either a reservation or off hours visit. Finally made it to Tosca last weekend. Outstanding meal & terrific service. Meal consisted of: Cheese plate Salad special - Boston Bibb lettuce, avocado, cherry tomatoes & bacon (delicious) Entrees were seared sea scallops over rice verde & Chicken Marsala lasagna. Boyfriend took me here for Valentine's day dinner. the only reservation we could get was 9pm. When we arrived, there were a good amount of empty tables which made me question why we could only get a 9pm reservation.. but anyways. we were seated, the chairs were wobbly, the wine glasses were NOT cleaned thoroughly, there were finger prints and streak marks on them, made me uncomfortable. the food was okay, nothing special enough for me to want to come back. the service was also just okay. Definitely coming back here for dinner but hope they take reservations. In a beautiful area of "downtown" Hingham, this place was buzzing on a Saturday night - we were a bit cramped standing around people wining and dining, waiting for our table and absolutely in the way of servers, but eventually when we sat it was a great experience for all. We were able to enjoy some live music and have some drinks, apps and desserts. The prices are a n the steeper side but this reflects the area, people and quality. The pizza was delicious. The dessert was some sort of chocolate lava with a mint chip ice cream. I can't wait to try their homemade pasta next time I go back! read more

This is my favorite restaurant. During the quarantine I was so happy they created a special take-out menu. When We got home with our "take out " food, I couldn't believe the abundance of food in this bag! For less money than We spent at 1 fine dining dinner , We had gourmet food for 2 days. (Plus the containers were awesome and I could reuse them) Today was our fist time back in months since the pandemic. I felt so safe...everyone was masked, gloved....they asked permission when touching anything on our table. Each table was very far from any other. ...it was a peaceful , and wonderful dining experience. And as usual....the food prepared by Kevin Long was spectacular. My dinner was a lobster dish, and I ended up taking more than 1/2 of it home because I couldn't finish it. Well done again Tosca. read more
