Been coming to the The Beth several times and every time a positive experience. Great spot for dinner, lunch, snack, drinks or date night by the marina at the Shipyard in Hingham. Greeted by the hostess and sat down. Clean. Not too loud. Comfortable for conversation. Well lit nicely decorated. Chester our waiter was excellent. Courteous, professional, attentive, friendly and polite. Food was excellent. Delicious and prepared perfectly. Ordered the fish and chips, bbq smash burger, tuna nachos and classic hamburger. Will definitely return. Highly recommend. read more

Went to dinner Friday night. Great location, enjoyed the band playing outside as we ate. Service was good and waitstaff very nice. The sausage hot honey bar pizza was delicious. Our salads mediocre. My Caesar w grilled chicken was disappointing. Dry tasteless chicken, Caesar dressing also had no flavor and cheese was powdery and not shaved Parmesan. Bland all the way around. My husband's salad had the same dry chicken. He said the arugula tasted like dirt as if it wasn't rinsed. Fresh mango on the salad was the best part. Overpriced for quality . $85 dinner for what? Ambience and a bar pizza. Really wanted to like this restaurant but how can you mess up a salad? Not sure I'll go back. read more

Really wanted to love this place, the location and ambiance are great. Service started rough (we waited over 20 minutes before anyone came to our table), but once our waitress arrived, she was sweet and attentive. The food, unfortunately, was a real letdown, it felt like they din't even care. I'll let the photo of my eggs Benedict speak for itself. read more

This place is beautiful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I ordered a margarita, which tasted like it was 1/4 tequila and 3/4 lime juice, it was undrinkable. My lovely date had a beer that tasted like it came from a dirty draft line. The food was overcooked and lacked any seasoning. The most frustrating thing was when the bartender came over and saw a full drink, and two plates that were barely touched, and didn't think to ask if everything was okay. Simply replacing my drink would've been enough, but that was a step too far for them I suppose. A new restaurant should take over this space, one that cares about putting out quality food and drinks. read more

It's so great to be working in the area so we can eat at our favorite place. We DoorDashed an order and were NOT disappointed. Steak tips, Nashville chicken sandwich, fish tacos, even the soft pretzel were amazing!! Love Beth Kitchen. read more

The atmosphere is great. The food mediocre. The worst part in my experience are the bartenders. Extremely rude, unprofessional, and inattentive to customers. read more

Was there with big party, most seemed happy with their food, but I ordered eggs Benedict and it was just " wrong" GIANT round bread, TINY practically hard boiled eggs ( no yoke) and hardly any hollandaise ( which if present would have made it edible) Shoe Leather meat. I pushed it around and did not eat anything. You would think the waitress would have noticed the epic fail but no. Since it was a family reunion, I did not want to make a stink about it and really thought all of the waitresses that were helping our table should have noticed. Another person in my party ordered the regular breakfast and thought it was very dry and tasteless as well. So I guess the brunch isn't a good idea to order read more

Probably will not be back. Our server was great and the service was top notch. But, the value was simply not there. My lobster Mac and cheese might have been good if there were any signs of lobster. My wife's swordfish was dry and the portion was small. Two guys got the steaks and they looked decent. Two people tried the "world's best clam chowder" and it was average at best. This place has a nice location but the price point for the food and drink is poor. They get three stars only because of the staff and ambiance. read more

I've visited this establishment twice. The first time was an exceptional experience with excellent service and delicious food. During my second visit, I sat at the bar and had a specific request regarding my meal. I wanted the chicken and waffles served separately rather than as a sandwich. When I made this request, the chef or kitchen staff ignored it entirely. On my first visit, they successfully accommodated this preference without any issue, so I didn't anticipate any problems this time. Unfortunately, my request was denied three times, which left me quite confused because I was still paying for my meal. The bartender was sympathetic and kindly offered to remove the item from my bill. Despite their effort, the repeated dismissals of my request detracted from what I expected to be a satisfying dining experience. read more

Didn't have a problem getting a same day reservation on a Sunday for dinner for a party of 7. Outdoor seating was first come first serve but didn't have any issues getting it even though it was a gorgeous day The food was alright. The waitress was accommodating to our requests. But the service overall was pretty slow. read more

Food was okay. Not quite worth the price. Bartender was quite unresponsive- we stopped in for a very quick drink and bite around 9:20pm and were greeted with "just drinking right?" and we said "no we were hoping to grab a quick bite, too." To that she responded "Well you need to order now," while the kitchen closed at 10pm. We apologized and ordered, but then were only serviced by barbacks following that. We won't be back, have had better service for 1/3 the price. Please don't waste your time. read more

I asked the manager to change one of the 12 TVs that were all on the same golf station to the Red Sox. He responded the game was practically over as we were losing 7 to 0 in the 6th inning so it's practically over anyway and never changed the channel for me! When I asked again, my request was still not responded to. It wasn't until I asked a third time did the TV get changed. I think that if a customer asks for a channel change for one of the 12 TVs that are in golf...someone on staff should have some respect for a simple customer request. Really unbelievable. read more

The refreshing ocean breeze while seated by the open windows at the Beth made for an ideal spot on a sweltering summer afternoon. Mango salsa complemented the blackened haddock tacos nicely. The falafel naanwich was a unique twist on the traditional sandwich; the thick, warm naan held up better than typical wraps. The decadent dark chocolate cake with an added scoop of vanilla ice cream was the pièce de rèsistance. We waited quite a while for our food and dessert and the Americano coffee was cold. We found out our server was a new employee when we finally received the check. read more

Came for brunch on Sunday at 2pm. It's a perfect time. The restaurant is actually quiet then. We had a big group and were seated immediately. Our waitress was incredible. She was super attentive and friendly. I ordered the fish tacos. They were good. Not the best I've had but not bad. The mango salsa wasn't very flavorful. It was kind of bland. My husband had the Nashville chicken sandwich and truffle fries. That was amazing!! Overall great restaurant. read more

Great place to enjoy a drink and a good bite on the harbor (the name is a nod to its location). Service was prompt and friendly in a neighborhoody kind of way. Whether on date or meeting a friend there are lots of good comfort bites -- chicken sandwich, chopped salad and poke bowl are standouts. Drinks are well prepared and they even have a rotating selection of Vitamin Sea (see my other review). All are complemented by the water views. read more

The ambiance and view are very modern. The Brussels Sprouts appetizer was the best I have ever tried in a restaurant. Highly recommend. They aren't vegetarian; I believe the recipe includes pancetta. I am sure you could ask for veggie option. The shrimp app was also excellent. I had the Italian Caesar with chicken. It was flavorful- could have used a bit more "zing" - maybe some lemon and additional cheese? Lobster rolls are served with house fries (very crisp) ... lobster served hot or cold on buttered New England style roll. Our server, Grace, was very pleasant and efficient. read more

Oh how charming! I love the way they redid the place. The decor is very modern and inviting. Lots of trees/plants everywhere. Just great vibes all around! My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered the mussels and clam chowder to share. The mussels were amazing!! A huge portion size served in such a flavorful broth with an ample amount of bread slices to soak up said delicious broth - I could have drank it alone, that's how good it was! The clam chowder was served in a cup and was a smaller portion size than expected, however it was loaded with clams. It was also more on the thin/soupy side for chowder, but that's ok! I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more things off the menu! read more

The food is great but overpriced. Great location and atmosphere. Has a nice view of the water

After a terrible dining experience where my family melted in the heat despite numerous tables in the shade and inside that were available but not offered despite our asking, and the drinks were diluted because the ice melted instantly. I received an apology from an owner and that was it. Having been in the food industry for many years I was shocked that the supervisor did not take care of the bill and frankly, offer for us to return on the house. Rather we got a manager who was doing nothing at the hosting table and had an attitude. No apology and was dismissive and rude. read more

This is my 2nd time here. My first time was an over 1 year ago. That's was a great experience a d why I decided to come back again. Completely different experience this time around. I sat at the bar near the service well with 2 bartenders on. One clearly very pregnant. I smiled at her and received a return look like I was bothering her. She gave me the drink & food menus and she walked away to tend to the drink tickets coming in. I sat here for a bit before the other bartender asked me what I wanted to drink. I order a bottled beer and a club soda. She never asked me if I was ready to order, she just walked away. I sat with my drinks for a little bit and had to stop her to ask her if I could order some food. She looked at me like it was a surprise. I places my order, cheeseburger, mw, I asked her what else came on it, how is it dressed? Lettuce & tomato she said. She placed my order and was never asked again from either bartender if I needed anything, another beer. A older couple comes in, they order their food, full dinners. They get their food and are finished before I even got my burger. While waiting, a young man comes by and asks me if I'm waiting for food. I looked at him a little confused as I have no idea who he is. We confirm that it's a cheeseburger I'm waiting for and he said ok I'll be right back. The other bartender leaves. Still waiting for my food, my beer glass is empty. No offer if I would like another. My food finally comes, picture attached. I waited all this time for this? Looks like they threw it together in a hurry. The bartender finally comes over and asks me if I want another drink. I tell her I'm fine. She comes back again a short time after and said "if you want to order another drink or dessert, it's in the house. Another minute or two goes by and she says we're taking it off the bill. I thank her. Listen, I completely understand and feel for her as she is pregnant. That's why I smiled at her when I arrived. I get it suck's having to work while being pregnant and on your feet. I certainly couldn't do it. And I greatly appreciated they the food was comp. But the level of service I received today was night & day from my first time. I've been in the food service industry for over 30 years and I appreciate the hard & back breaking work that is required. I tried to just go out for a simple, quiet dinner at a nice restaurant. What a delightful surprise! We had an excellent Saturday night dinner experience here. The food exceeded my expectations (largely based on reviews)-- the burrata was surprisingly tender and the bread it came with was fluffy. My fish tacos were fantastic and much more full than the usual fish taco these days. The drinks were amazing! I forgot what we had but it was something w peach vodka. Needless to say, I was feeling it the next morning. The best part of the experience was our server. I forget her name but she was just so sweet and considerate and made sure we always had what we needed throughout the night. read more

I'd been to the Beth once before and vaguely remembered being underwhelmed...but this week I was in the area and it was late so I figured it was worth another try I am a big believer in the "inverse view law" which says, the better the view the worse the food, and I'm happy to say that the Beth is the exception. Really really good. We had 3 entrees, a burger, a clam chowder and salad, and the poke nachos. All 3 were excellent. The burger had a nice char and was cooked perfectly. The chowder had a great "clam to potato" ratio and the soup itself was nice and thick. The poke nachos were the best entree of the bunch. They were on a bed of wontons, with nice fresh tuna, seaweed salad and some sort of a flavored mayo striped across the top. The mayo was delicious but there was a bit too much. Only ding is that the entire meal was a bit pricey, but we will definitely be back. read more

It started with a Rose Sangria that was awful that it tasted sour and watery. The chicken wings app which we did like had been changed to a Thai glaze and still served with blue cheese dressing and then the mussels arrived. The mussels were tiny - as in 1/2" and smothered with a bottled tomato and onion sauce? Wow that was the final straw! Won't be back! Such a waste of decent space. read more

This was 6-7th time at Beth, likely last for a long time if ever. Ordered wings extra crispy, they came out regular..good taste nonetheless but not as requested Fish and chips.. mine ok... 2.0. more batter than fish. Wife... Not cooked, mushy, did not eat... It was zero 0.0 Informed the waitress, she was very nice, but at the end of the day, said " sorry for the kitchen screw up... It can happen" ... Ok, which should have followed, we'll take it off your bill. But no !! This also reminds me there is NO ITEMIZED bill.none in either copy. Just a bill total... Wrong... So the 100 bucks was an awful value.. No more Beth for us. read more

A girlfriend and I visited The Beth for lunch and cocktails. Josh was our awesome waiter. We started with the Curried Butternut Squash Soup and ordered the spinach and artichoke dip - both were so delicious. I ordered the steak frites with truffle fries and my friend enjoyed the scallops. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. We skipped dessert (full) and enjoyed an additional Blood Orange Cosmopolitan (we had two each so yummy!). On our way out, the team was nice enough to take our picture in the cool wicker chairs they have at their entryway. We could have made an afternoon out of sitting in those chairs! So comfy and cool. We had a really good time and the team working that day were great - we will be coming back for sure! read more

We asked to sit outside but got put in direct sunlight when we wanted shade. The service was very good, the waitress very friendly. Too many boats but lovely scenic view. I ordered the vegan salad and it was fresh but not too much flavor, my spritz drink tasted like watered down bubble gum water. There was more ice than martini in my friends drink. We ordered the pretzel option and they gave us four minis instead of a big one? The family sat next to us had too many people at one table and had a baby giving side eye. Thankfully there were cute dogs outside to balance it out. Loved this place and will be back soon! read more

The first time that we came to this restaurant was right when they opened and everything was superb, except for the service. I am definitely one to always go back a second time to try it again. We went on a Friday evening for just an after dinner drink and it was great. Our bartender was super attentive and helpful and made me the perfect pistachio martini. My husband had one of their cocktails with ginger beer, which was also very good. They do Live music on Saturday nights which sounded like something that we both would enjoy so I know I will be returning. And, the menu looked delicious as well since some of the dishes passed our eye and I kept on asking "what's that?" So I look forward to having dinner there and listening to music. Cheers!! read more

Super cute inside and big! They have a lot of inside seating with an option of private dining, inside bar and outside seating. We sat at the bar for lunch. Got a bottle of Fleur de Mer which is my favorite rose but wish they had it a little cold. I got the Thai crispy salad with salmon, my friend got the same but shrimp and the other got burrata with shrimp. She thought the burrata came with arugula But it had only a tiny bit. First time and really enjoyed it! Would have given 5 stars but one main bartender, two service bartenders and a bar back didn't seem to be enough for how busy it got - every seat in bar full(we snagged two of them) The food was great - highly suggest the Poke nachos, the sausage and hot honey flatbread (sooooo good) and the molasses brined buffalo wings (fall off the bone) Looking forward to coming back! read more

Yesterday (Friday) we had reserved five tables for a company outing and everything was fine until the very end. We pre-booked the tables and had a buffet in a separate room off the bar. Now it's 4:50pm and four of us left and I go to order another drink for three of us and the waitress tells us "we need to flip the table" so if you want another drink you can sit at the bar. The restaurant was empty so our one remaining table was not needed. We just spent $1500 on the tab with a built in 20% tip and then tipped the waitress another $50. So rude and not accommodating !! I'll be going in today to speak to the manager. We will never spent another nickel in this place and will spread the word to all of our friends on the South Shore. Trident here we come !! read more

The ambiance was dim and relaxing and the decor was inviting. The food was so so. I ordered the fish and chips, a friend ordered the wings and Brussel sprouts. The batter on the fish was a bit tasty, but they served it on a plate lined with paper. As I was cutting into the fish I realized the paper was dissolving and stuck to the piece of fish I was about to eat. The fish and chips overall were ok, but I've had better. The wings were a bit soggy, I'm not sure who likes their chicken skin like that. The Brussel sprouts were a bit crispy and a bit sweet, they were delicious. As far as the service went, our server was nice but wasn't very attentive. There were a few times our drinks were empty or someone needed something for their meal and the waitress was nowhere to be found. And one last thing...they had 2 items on the menu that we tried ordering only to find out they have been "taken off the menu". In that case, take it off the menu then. Overall, I like the looks of the place, the food was ok and I'd go back if I was going to grab a drink. read more

Was very excited about going to a high school reunion at the Beth, as I just moved back to the area and had not been in yet. When our massive group overstayed, management was polite but obviously the manager on duty was not in a pleasant state of mind. He moved the satellite bar while saying "MOVE" to guests unknowingly in the way, while bar tools fell off and into his pathway, causing him to drag the satellite bar the rest of the way, causing a huge scene. He had us all come out into the main restaurant which was very quiet, and only had one bartender on that I could see. At 11:30pm the lights went up and since there was no music on, I couldn't tell exactly what was happening, but assumed it must be last call. A short while later the manager yelled to our remaining guests, "everyone out, please leave!" and I directly said to him "thanks for being so warm about it..." because I've worked in this industry for the better part of 20 years and have never been so rude to a group of 30 people still wanting to buy drinks. Shocking that they would cut off the people bringing in the most revenue, due to wanting to leave work, on a Saturday night. I'm 38 and if my bosses say "you're staying open because a party of 30 is coming in" at 1am, that's what I do. Only positives were our private party bartender who worked her ass off and she was a sweetheart. read more
