This meal was a 10 star experience. Jessica was terrific; she answered all of our questions and made some recommendations with the specials. We ordered the Zucchini Fries which were amazing! Super crispy and the aioli paired perfectly with the flavors of the fries. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Alla Busara...a dish that brought me back to when I was small and my uncle would prepare a similar dish. Each ingredient in the delicious sauce shined through in a beautiful way. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and almost had the taste and consistency of lobster. There was a generous slice of crusty bread which I used to sop the sauce at the end. My god it was good. Paired with a great little off the menu but on the menu side salad of fennel, orange and arugula, this was the perfect portioned meal for me. My mom had the small portion of the Vodka Radiatori which was spicy the way she likes. Jessica checked in and gave our compliments to the chef!! For dessert we had the perfectly portioned small Pistachio Cannoli. The filling was exquisite with a hint of orange which elevated the ricotta to a delectable level! This was a STELLAR meal made all the better by our server, Jessica! We arrived on the early side just after they opened so the ambiance was still rather quiet and subdued. By the time we left more tables had filled and the place was really coming to life. Highly highly recommend if you are in search of some very well prepared Italian food. It was obvious the chefs put a lot of love into what they serve! Well done. Complimenti allo cuosco!! read more

Brava Cucina - Ridiculously good Pistachio Cannoli - Wine Bars Near Me - Weymouth, Massachusetts

What a delicious and affordable gem of an Italian place! I've visited 3x in 3 months, and Brava Cucina always hits the mark. Logistics: garbage parking is free, convenient, and available- we missed it the first time! Streetside was easy too. Ambience: perfect for a gathering with friends or a professional meal or even a date night! Music is at a tasteful volume Value: Unbelievable. $36 for an a foccacia, app, and entree is such a steal in this economy; available every day! The entree portions were sizeable as well! Food: everything from the focaccia to the salads, pastas, pork milanese, desserts, and drinks were wonderful. Speedy and kind service. Would highly recommend coming in a crew to try as many menu items! read more

My second time here, first time sitting at the bar. Loved the vibe, though it does get almost too loud at times. Lots of locals so make a rez for the lounge and hope to get moved to the bar. Josh was chatty and super friendly but soon got slammed (he doubled as waitstaff?) so you might not get his full attention as things get busy. All the Staff is lovely. Loved the meatballs, broccolini, melon & prosciutto, Verdi salad and grilled bread. My salmon entree was yummy. My date's pork Milanese was crispy and juicy. If you are looking for diabetic friendly sides to swap, not so many options. Everything was delicious. I tried the zero proof Buona Sera and it didn't agree with me so they swapped it out for a real espresso martini. The low ABV bicycle thief was delightful! read more

I had a great meal at Brava the first time I went but my second time there was even better. Our party of two came for an early Saturday night dinner at 5 and were seated at a hightop within seconds. They have a great 3 course pasta meal deal that I got last time but I remember seeing the Pork Milanese on another table and I knew I had to get that this time. We started our meal with fried brussels sprouts that came with large chunks of pancetta and a apple cider reduction. All the flavors worked well to balance each other out, we attempted to recreate this delicious combo several days later at home. Next came the Verdi insalata, which was an arugula and watercress salad with apple, pistachio and balsamic, a refreshing followup to the brussels sprouts. Next came the massive pork milanese, it's a show stopper. The breading is impossibly crunchy and not oily at all, while the pork was juicy and flavorful. There was a citrusy fennel salad on top and that paired really well with the fried pork. Every course of our meal exceeded our expectations and I am excited to come back next time to see what's new on the menu. read more

The perfect date night spot with some of the most delicious Italian food in the area. The vibe of the restaurant is cozy and romantic. The pasta is made in house and they even have gluten free options! Every dish is seasoned to perfection. They have a great Pasta Dinner Special where you can choose a bruschetta, 1/2 salad, arancini, or polpette, and pasta for only $33! This is typically my go to as I can try a few different dishes for such a great price. Service is always great, the staff is super attentive and knowledgeable on dietary restrictions. My water cup is was always full! read more

The best new restaurant I've had in an incredibly long time. This new trend of restaurants focusing exclusively on vibes and not enough on food is exhausting. Brava Cucina is quiet in presentation but loud when it comes to service, ambience, and food. Excellent from start to finish! For starters, the banana sporca mocktail is the best mocktail I've ever had. All the apps were amazing, especially the meatballs and coppa/prosciutto toast. The braised wild boar was equally as delicious! Then for the pasta, I had the special lobster fusilli. Very lemony, fennely, and flavorful. read more

I think we found our new favorite restaurant in the area!!! We visited for dinner on Valentine's Day and Brava definitely exceeded expectations. We've also been to two other local spots from this restaurant group, and while they're all great, I think Brava just stole the top spot. The restaurant itself is small, but intimate, cozy, and decorated well with a nice bar area in the front. I booked a reservation weeks in advance since it was Valentine's Day and even though the place was packed we were seated right away after walking in. We kicked things off with a round of the tastiest vodka kumquat cocktail (I wish I could remember the name but it isn't listed on the online menu). It was honestly one of the best cocktails I've had in a while, I can't wait to come back to sample some more options from Brava's bar menu. The wine and beer list are small but well-curated, we had no trouble finding something we liked for round 2. The food we sampled was equally as exceptional. They have a whole list of bruschetta's on house made focaccia. We went with the Red Wine Poached Pear option and it was so unique and flavorful. That dish alone was enough to sell me on this spot, but the Orecchiette al Forno and Squid Ink Bucatini Vongole we had for our entrees were just as delishious. Our server was so kind and gave some great recommendations--I wish I could remember her name so I could give her a shoutout. Can't say enough good things about our first meal at Brava, it certainly won't be our last :) read more

This statement may seem a bit crazy to some who see just a small restaurant in Weymouth landing. That being said, this is the absolute best restaurant on the South Shore. The flavors, the ambience, the cocktails, everything is done to absolute perfection. This isn't a 5 star dining experience where you wear your best suit. This is a meal that you sit, eat slowly and enjoy how every ingredient is so well thought out. I'm blown away, truly, about 15 visits in and each time gets better. read more

I ordered take out from here. It came nicely packaged and while things weren't labeled, I knew what was what. I got the fig and proscuitto as well as the burratini. I like the fig and proscuitto moreso. I thought the sauce that came with the burratini was a tomato sauce, but it was a balsamic jam. Get the polpetti because it's yummier than your typical meatballs. the canastri and spicy radiatori were both delicious. I thought the canstri was saltier, but I think everyone else thought it was perfectly seasoned. The spicy radiatori did not have meat but it went well to have a few polpetti with it. Enjoyed it to go! read more

I want Brava Cucina to succeed, because this location is seemingly cursed. Which sucks, because this and its previous iteration have a beautiful aesthetic, and promising menus - both bar and kitchen. But dang if there weren't kinks in the execution. They have a series of sides, dips and accoutrement to accompany their focaccia, which is raging on TikTok because people loved to stick their grubby fingers in things, but I digress - it's a fantastic fast bread, and when done well, is as versatile as quick breads can get. We got the coppa and prosciutto starter, and the star of the show was waaaaaaay too dense. Underproofed? Underbaked? Both? Dunno. We could get past a single piece each, so we scarfed down the meats and chalked up a loss. (And yes, we did notify the server of the off bread. She said, "Oh I'm sorry" but nothing went beyond that.) We also got the crispy Brussels sprouts, and as far as seasonal litmus tests go, this was a stellar version. Exquisite roast, in a glaze of reduced apple cider, honey and lemon, tossed with guanciale and topped with parm - order them every time. Our entree pastas - the orecchiette al forno (sweet italian sausage, broccoli rabe, fontina and pecorino moltinero crema) and bucatini carbonara (moar guanciale, black pepper, egg yolk, parm) - had everything we wanted on a brisk fall night... on paper. Again, the execution was off: very soft guanciale (way less rendered than in the brussels), overcooked bucatini, and the flavors were solid in my orecciette but the sauce was broken and there was SO. MUCH. OF IT. Take a look at the pic: it looks like ear pasta cereal swimming in milk. Flatware, interior, lighting and decor gave total Italian nonna - the water glasses especially (loved it). I have to assume this was an off-night. We gave feedback through the evening which was met with the sort of same "Oh, okay" and that was that. Nothing was bad, so kept our plates and just chalked it up to a difference in tastes, which is fine. Not clamoring to return immediately, unfortunately, but will definitely give it another shot a bit further down the road. And I'll bring nonna. read more

Everything tastes fresh and homemade. excellent service, attentive and kind staff. Great ambiance, lively but also relaxed and awesome spot to enjoy dinner. I really think the flavors this place serves are up there with north end restaurants, maybe even better. $36 pasta special is an unreal deal for the quality of great food you get. Plus, free garage parking is an amazing perk. Will continue coming back to this awesome spot. read more

Outstanding!! A great addition to Weymouth Landing! My friend and I came here to check the place out shortly after they opened. They did a great job renovating to give it a cozy, intimate vibe. We started with the arancini and burrata. Both were excellent but the bread that came with the burrata was UNREAL. I've never tasted bread like this before. I wanted to take a loaf home with me! For my entree, I ordered the bucatini carbonara. It was fantastic! The black pepper flavor was very strong but I loved it. I'm already looking forward to coming back here, if only for that bread alone! I definitely recommend checking this place out :) read more

Bravo for Brava! Welcome to Weymouth! We all know that way back when Weymouth didn't always have the best restaurants. But, now they have come along way and with their newly opened Italian restaurant called Brava (was the former establishment of 4th and Cherry). Brava belongs to the awesome and amazing restaurant group that includes: Drift Hull, Dotty's (formerly The Townshend), and Pearl and Lime. We have become like family since we frequent these restaurants quite a bit. Their food is always fresh, cocktails are innovative and service is impeccable. Brava is their newest sibling in Weymouth center and we had the pleasure of dining their this past weekend. It is cute and cozy; the perfect date night spot. Parking is mostly street parking, but they do have a garage next door. I was able to find street parking. We started off with a few cocktails and their Caesar Salad and Roasted Figs. What was special about their Caesar is they had cacio e pepe croutons which were amazing. Also, their Roasted Figs were hot, creamy and cheesey...who doesn't love that. For entrees, my hubby got their Porchetta and I ordered their Orecchiette al forno (GF). I thought the Gluten Free pasta was a bit heavier and filling but still very good. We both brought home leftovers. We also ordered a few scoops of their gelato. Brava is like visiting your best friend, you never want to leave! Cheers and I hope you check them out. Tell them "hello" from me! read more

Weymouth Landing gem. They serve Italian food and very good drinks. The ambiance is moody with dim lighting and a younger crowd. We went for a date night and were decently surprised considering we live down the street and had no expectations knowing it's tough to find a modern spot in this neck of the woods. Service was decent as well, I don't recall any issues. I wouldn't recommend this to larger crowds as it's not the biggest restaurant or families with young children. Better vibe for a girls night out or date night. read more

We did not feel rushed but there was definitely a crowd can't wait to go back! read more

Disappointing Experience -- Won't Be Returning From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. We sat at the bar, where only four other guests were present in the entire restaurant -- yet service was strangely inattentive. When Our appetizer arrived.. we sat there gazing upon them for quite awhile , because we were without silverware, plates and napkins. after several long minutes, finally got someone's attention, and asked for help. The server had placed the appetizer in front of us, saw we had nothing to eat with, and hurried off. the bartender was engrossed in mixing drinks for the 4 other people at the bar, and another server, dark hair with silver highlights, stood around gabbing to her friends, totally ignored us And anyone else. There seemed to be another man at the bar ..not sure what his role was, although friendly, he never offered help. The food was decent , but was overpriced. Crappy service. unattractive location. And no bread! Many Better choices available. read more

It is my sincere hope that Brava Cucina experiences continued success as the past few restaurants at its location have not been able to keep their doors open. This place has a great ambiance, uses its space well, and is decorated perfectly for the Italian fare they serve. For starters, my girlfriend, and I felt very fortunate to get in for dinner last night as there was a single table for two fortuitously left open. The host was very accommodating and sat us quickly. We decided to try a few different appetizers and one entrée course to give ourselves a variety of samplings. The service couldn't have been friendlier and the bartender really knew his stuff! We started with pan seared, Brussels sprouts sautéed in an apple cider reduction... Simply amazing! We were then served a delicious prosciutto, and fig bruschetta before our very large portion of Caesar salad came out. Our waitress recommended adding a protein, so we decided to go with the chicken, which was also cooked perfectly. I decided to go with the rigatoni Bolognese for our entrée , and this did not disappoint at all. Other reviewers spoke highly of this dish, so we had to give it a try. To finish our meal, we went with a couple of after dinner cocktails... A Manhattan made with rye called the Fiore, and the espresso martini with the bartender's special cream/espresso bean blend on top. Both drinks were made flawlessly and served at a great cold temperature. Overall just a fantastic dining experience from the moment we walked in to the time we exited with our "to go" bag. Needless to say, we will back soon! read more

Went there with a friend for dinner tonight. The food was excellent. Had the Prosciutto and fig app and split the Verdi salad. We had the special tonight Chicken Parm. It was delicious. Huge portion with homemade pasta. The waitress seemed put out when we asked for ice for the lukewarm warm water they served. Also when we asked for beverage napkins for our cocktails that were very good. Disappointed that are app came before our drinks. The wait staff walked by several times and didn't clear our empty dishes. I would go back for the food as it was delicious. I wasn't impressed with the wait staff. Many they were just feeling the heat and will do a better job next time. Would recommend for the food for sure. read more

Repeat customers - we love this place and normally sit at the bar! Awesome cocktails always. Few notes on things we wish they would clean up: -When you order the 3 course special, they bring the salad course first then immediately after they bring the bruschetta -- so way too much on the table and wish it would actually be coursed out as written so it's easier to enjoy. -Vodka pasta is a miss in our book - spice takes over and it's lacking any other flavor. Brought friends this time and they insisted on ordering it, then felt the same way. This time also felt the shrimp scampi was a bit oily, it pooled at the bottom and it's been better in prior trips. -Wish they would update the menu for Fall/Winter and introduce some new seasonal items -Unless you sit at the bar, the restaurant is far too loud you can't even hear the person next to you. read more

Love their convenient free parking lot next door! We tried: Apps: Caesar salad Mushroom toast Polpetti Shrimp capri Entrees: Bolognese rigatoni Vongole (squid ink pasta with clams) - I suggest adding fresh parm and some black pepper.
