These nachos are top tier/some of the BEST I've ever had. We ate every last bite and literally licked the plate clean. I have never done that in the history of ordering nachos. I will absolutely come back here just to get these again! For my entree, I ordered the grilled chicken burrito. Even though it was huge and delicious, it tasted like every other burrito I've ever had. There was nothing unique or special about it but maybe it just felt underwhelming in comparison to how good I thought the nachos were. I will definitely be back to try other things off the menu (and to get the nachos again!)...

Update: I just checked the website and it may have changed hands because it's called Captain's Hideaway now as of March 2026. Not sure if there are new owners or it changed hands.

The restaurant is very charming and the street with the local shops gives the same vibe. You definitely can feel like it's the past with the fireplace and wood smell. The tuna tartare is a must order and is a popular option, definitely request additional crispy wontons. It is fresh and packs a good flavor. The steak frites has addicting fries and the steak is cooked well. A nice touch is they give you a rose after your meal!

It is hard to describe what made them unappetizing, but the contents just tasted "old," like they had been sitting for a long time. Do they make these before they open and just add a protein when an order comes in? On top of that, my wife felt that the Shrimp in her bowl were "off," past their prime. Picking up the food was an adventure in itself, as downtown parking on a busy summer evening is hit or miss. The "pickup" parking spots in front were taken, and it took me longer to find a spot than it did to drive from my house. Perhaps sampling their full menu with in-person seating would provide a more satisfactory experience, but we aren't tempted to try.

She was so easy to communicate with and made sure everything was set up so we could simply enjoy the celebration with our guests. We truly couldn't have asked for an easier or better experience. Thankfully, Yelp helped me locate this gluten-free pizza option and I devoured it. A super friendly lady picked up the phone to take our takeout order down. It's the first pizza place I've come across where they don't up-charge for a cauliflower crust. The margarita was only $15 (I added olives) and was fresh, delicious, and satisfying. My husband got a bowl of their soup and though he enjoyed the taste and flavors, he felt the quantity was smaller than he was expecting.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills.
