I had a baby shower here for my daughter. The event specialists (so sorry I forgot her name) was tremendously helpful and accommodating. The food was great and it turned out well! The price was extremely fair too. The event room has its own bar area right outside the glass doors which was nice. The event room is not very large but you do get to use the attached outside patio that proved to be very helpful and enjoyable. The ONLY suggestion that I would make is to mark off some parking spaces for events for the older peeps. Although they have tons of parking in the back, it is a busy restaurant.

Ehhhh. Everything about this place is just OK. It sounds better in theory than it actually is in reality. Even though there are TVs everywhere, you have to be seated in the "right spot" to see the game you want. And the food isn't anything to write home about either... On my last visit here, my husband and I were able to snag seats right in the middle of the bar. The BBQ seemed to be highlighted in the middle of the menu so we decided to split a platter with brisket, pork belly burnt ends, baked beans, mac & cheese and cornbread. Calling this a "platter" on the menu is a major overstatement. Granted there was a variety of food, we felt the portion sizes were too small to share (and also small for the price). While I am by no means a BBQ expert, this one didn't do it for me. Everything tasted mushy, both in texture and flavor. I hate to say it but I will avoid this place in the future as it is just not my cup of tea, but I would still suggest checking it out and deciding for yourself...

Right next to Fenway is Cask'n Flagon the place to go if you want to get a full meal before the game and that is what me and my friend did. Our server was soo nice and everyone that attended us was also nice and friendly. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and mains. To drink I had the refreshing Sangria Flora. Made with Sauvignon Blanc, St. Germaine elderflower, fresh strawberry, and peach purée. The peach flavor is a fun twist in the sangria combined with the fresh strawberries is a spring and summer must-have. For our appetizer, we had the Buffalo Chicken Dip. Made with Roasted chicken in a cheese dip with crumbled blue cheese served in a toasted bread bowl and with crispy tortilla chips. I don't have a high tolerance for "spicy" foods so the Buffalo in this dip was a bit intense for me. As my main, I had the Barbecue Pulled Pork from Cask 'n Flagon. This pulled pork is slowed smoked for seven hours, then pulled with cask BBQ sauce. The pork is tender, juicy, and crisp. The sweet potato fries are fresh and crispy. The mashed potatoes taste homemade and creamy. The cornbread is a nice pairing and it has corn pieces inside.

It's a chain. I tried it. The staff is good but the food is meh! I'd say beers and appetizers at the bar that's it.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. During our visit, I witnessed the owner loudly reprimanding children and their parents for typical child behavior. Additionally, our order was not fulfilled; the steak and cheese egg rolls were unappetizing and resembled a processed paste, and the side salad was simply a mix of greens with ranch dressing, despite my request for balsamic vinaigrette. Furthermore, the owner's aggressive demeanor was alarming. He followed me outside, questioning where I worked and suggesting that I should endure the same treatment. This incident escalated to the point where he demanded $400 for wall damages that were nonexistent, as there was no visible marker on the walls -DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DRY ERASE MARKERS. or because the child wrote her name so small that even if it was permanent marker, you would never be able to see it, but they were doing something wrong and we did have a conversation with them. After they stopped crying because you screamed in their faces While I understand that children should not write on walls ( even though looks like you can and has markers on them), the response from the owner was excessive and disproportionate. I believe that a more professional approach, such as a polite reminder about the rules, would have sufficed. This experience is disappointing, especially since we had previously recommended your establishment to others and enjoyed our visits. For families seeking a positive environment, I suggest considering alternative venues, as our experience did not reflect the welcoming atmosphere promised. .

First off, one must stand in line to order. While standing in line since there was no.menj board i looked up the menu online. Then I was asked where are you sitting. All tables have numbers. The guy gives me a number. I have to wait for drinks before sitting down. Meanwhile people who ordered online are now at my table. This was frustrating to not only me but the employees who now have to change my location on a busy day. There was one food runner. 2 working the bar and I am unsure how many back in the food area but it just wasn't enough! The food was fine. No complaints over the cedar salad, the super breaded mozzarella sticks and the pretzel bites. But I will say... the cheese pictured with the pretzel bites was orange and I got quest Blanco. Too hectic, loud and high anxiety.

I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

It has that cozy hometown pub feel: sports on, music playing, and a great local vibe. The staff treats you like you've been coming in for years, making you feel like a regular right away -- and that's definitely a good thing. Homemade comfort food that hits on every level, a delicious menu from top to bottom, and a drink menu that complements it perfectly. And by the way... the Guinness pours well!

First visit: loud, packed and a bit chaotic for a Tuesday night, my surf and turf of slightly overcooked rosemary turkey tips and tender fried clam strips (wha?!) were still nicely seasoned, and sided by blanched and buttered green beans. Huge side salad with pumpernickel croutons. My campy frozen cocktail with way too much whipped cream was served spilling over itself. It was collegiate, at best, and the easily frazzled FOH couldn't keep up with the madness. Second visit: Sunday early lunch. Beautiful weather had us harborside beneath a sprawling umbrella on their spacious dock. Cape Cod Reuben ($12) is clean cod, fried and topped with crunchy slaw, Swiss and thousand island on toasted marble rye. Opted for a side Caesar ($3 upcharge) and was really, really pleased with the entire meal. Wife enjoyed her modified Ol' Smokey Melt with skin-on fries ($10), and the kiddo ripped through his Cod Sticks ($9). Parents, take note: crayons and coloring pages are provided, but there are no dedicated kid's plates. In lieu of this, family friendly options are noted on the standard menu. The prevalent note is that service was stretched in both occasions, and with a fairly young staff, I can understand how this could be frustrating. But the food is solid - very solid - and the patio is made for the summer.

The bride's parents were even turned away at the door. Mind you the bouncers barely looked old enough to be working the door. The whole interaction came across as immature, disorganized, and completely lacking in common sense. Apparently this place would rather turn away paying customers than honor its own posted hours.
