Been driving by and wondering how it was as it looked interesting. We hadn't been at that location since it was a Jamies. No atmosphere if you go into the dining area. Blank tables with not even salt and pepper on them. Ordered Ice Tea. My husband's was fine, but mine tasted rancid. I thought it was my imagination, but my husband agreed. It was awful. Help was good in getting me something else to drink no problem. My husband had the Chicken Pot Pie. The crust looked like a pot holder on top....dry and the chicken part was soupy. He didn't like it. I had the Short Rib dinner. It had a great presentation when delivered to my table, however the meat was dry and there wasn't enough gravy. Now here comes the problem. I recently dined at Crossroads after a 5-day cross-country drive from Arizona to Massachusetts with my two dogs--one a service dog in training for my medical condition and both documented Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). Before even heading over, I took the time to call ahead to make sure bringing my dogs wouldn't be an issue. I spoke with the host, explained my situation in detail, and was reassured that it wouldn't be a problem. To be absolutely certain, I even asked the host to check with the manager, who cleared it. Feeling confident that I wouldn't face any issues, I arrived with my nana, a loyal customer, hoping for a much-needed meal and a moment of peace after an incredibly difficult journey. The past few months have been some of the hardest of my life. I recently lost my fiancé and made the decision to move across the country to rebuild my life. This road trip was long and exhausting, both physically and emotionally, and I was running on empty. By the time I arrived at Crossroads, I was looking forward to simply sitting down, eating a meal, and catching my breath. Instead, I was met with one of the most upsetting dining experiences I've ever endured. We were seated in a side room with only two other couples. My dogs were calm and well-behaved--my service dog in training lay quietly, and my ESA, though still young and curious, stayed by my side. From the moment our server, Courtney, approached the table, her attitude was cold and dismissive. My nana and I exchanged looks after she took our drink order, both wondering why she seemed to have such an issue with us. I even tried to stay positive, sharing that I'd just returned to Massachusetts after living in Arizona for 11 years and was adjusting to being home. Unfortunately, her demeanor didn't change. As we waited for our food, one of the couples stopped to say hello to my dogs, who were laying down 98% of the time. The only exceptions were brief moments when my ESA checked on me or when I accidentally knocked over my drink while shifting in my seat. I immediately sought assistance to clean up the spill, moving my dogs out of the way to the corner of the empty dining room. My nana even started helping clean up. When Courtney returned with our food, she slammed the plates down with visible disdain and, to my shock, told me and my dogs to get out. My nana and I were stunned. Courtney accused my dogs of being "everywhere" and insisted they should have been at my feet the entire time--despite the fact that they were calm, quiet, and not disruptive. To make things worse, she even offered to "pull up the cameras," as if her hostility could somehow be justified. We didn't even get to eat our food. I had taken maybe two sips of my drink before the incident escalated. My nana, despite being furious at the way we were treated, still paid the bill to avoid further conflict. I left the restaurant at 8 p.m., starving and humiliated, with only a few bites of clam chowder in my stomach. What makes this experience even more devastating is that I took every precaution to ensure it wouldn't be an issue. I called ahead, spoke with the host, and got explicit approval from the manager. If my dogs weren't welcome, they could have simply told me over the phone, and I would have picked elsewhere. Instead, I was reassured it would be fine, only to be treated so cruelly once I arrived. For anyone who doesn't know, both federal and Massachusetts laws are very clear about the rights of individuals with service animals. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects the rights of individuals to have their service animals with them in public places, including restaurants. Massachusetts law goes even further, protecting individuals with disabilities and their assistance animals. Service animals must be under the handler's control (which mine were), and restaurants cannot deny access unless the animals pose a direct threat or are disruptive--which mine absolutely were not. But beyond the legal aspect, what truly breaks my heart is how Courtney thought it was acceptable to treat me this way. She had no idea what I've been through--very recently & tragically losing my fiancé, driving across the country to start over, and trying to rebuild my life. To add this level of humiliation on top of everything I've already endured was just too much. If you don't know someone's story, there is no reason to treat them with such cruelty and disdain. A little kindness can go a long way, and Courtney's behavior was the opposite of that. I hope Crossroads reflects on how they train their staff and ensures that no one else has to experience what I went through. This was a deeply upsetting and unnecessary situation that I wouldn't wish on anyone. read more

my husband and I LOVE crossroads. we have been going here for years! some of our favorites to order are the steak and cheese egg rolls, buffalo chicken dip, any of their pizzas, chicken salad sandwhich and the steak tips! the service is always fantastic. we are always greeted with a smile. we now sit on the dining side when we come in since we had our daughter and we love taking her to one of our favorite spots! read more

The owner is always talking to customers to make sure they are happy and shows that she is committed to customer service. For the most part the staff is great however certain bartenders are not very attentive to customers. I've had the issue with the same two bartenders. They walked by me 3x the other night with an empty beer bottle in front of me, it was my first beer, and neither one asked if I wanted another beer. I continued to wait and then just left. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for this pair of bartenders. Dropped a star because I had the same experience with a different bartender. Not sure how they train their staff. I wanted to give this place a try as it is close by and kid friendly! We were able to grab 2 seats at the bar, and were overall pleased with our experience. My friend ordered steaktips with curry fries and they were delicious. I ordered the turkey gobbler, to my surprise it was a wrap! I am not a huge fan of wraps, so they were able to remake it on regular bread for me. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Overall I was pleased. They had a basket in the bathroom that was adorable, full of things you sometimes need. Very nice touch! We will be back. read more

I guess 45 years on the food industry qualifies me as fussy customer. My wife , my grandson and myself had a late lunch in Braintree. Having driven by this store several times, we finally stopped. We had a great meal , everything we ordered arrived hot and delicious, especially impressed that the French fries were hot & fresh! Great pastrami sandwich, cheeseburger- perfectly cooked, my grandson's Nacho were incredibly good. Don't pass this place without stopping ! Prices are more than reasonable! I will gladly drive from Hingham back to this restaurant by for a great meal ! Shamus ( our waiter) was excellent! I've been here twice and had a great experience both times. I've had the monstah mash pizza which is exactly what it sounds like - pizza with mashed potatoes, bacon, etc. It was the ultimate comfort food, perfect for a cold and snowy night. I've also ordered the house salad topped with buffalo chicken. It came with much more chicken than expected (score!) and the salad tasted fresh. Staff was very friendly. I went in with my spouse for a drink and ordered the sangria. It tasted sweet almost like a Shirley Temple rather than a wine. I didn't drink it and asked the bartender if I could replace it with something else. I was told I could get something else but would still have to pay for the wine. I've come to this place a few times. The staff is friendly, beer prices are fair. Mary and Julie have been great. Food is good overall. Enjoyed the chili, fish sandwich, and chicken quesadilla. Love the fresh made potato chips! All are good and fresh. The piped in music could be a bit younger. The TVs could be less gambling oriented but still sports minded. Was a little disappointed with the shrimp scampi (small shrimp, not a lot of flavor) BUT it they had a special that was the best fried scallops I have had in the south shore. This local spot is fantastic! Recently remodeled under new ownership so if you were here before I highly recommend giving it another shot! Mac and cheese is on point. Add buffalo chicken out of this world. Shepard's pie was delicious! Bone in Buffalo chicken wings are spicy and fall off the bone. The pulled pork tacos with jalapeño coleslaw looked delicious definitely trying them next time. Ice cold beer, huge selection of draft beer and keno! What's not to love. Love this place! We just moved close by and ordered takeout the other Friday night. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap (which was perfect) and my husband had a wrap as well in addition to kids meals for both our kids (pasta and chicken nuggets) I've had their pizza too which is also great. We drove by here recently and were surprised to see it wasn't Jamie's anymore! Later in the week we stopped in to see if it was as good/better, and it absolutely was. We came in on a Saturday night around 9 and it was pretty full- we were able to grab seats at the bar after a little bit. We had some beers (which were cold) and played keno (which we lost) and had a pretty good time! We went back to try out the trivia night and food and were not disappointed by either! We started with steak and cheese egg rolls and they were very good! Jay had a pizza- it was a decent size for an individual pizza. He ate half and took the other half home. I had the chicken Caesar wrap with the house made chips and my plate was embarrassingly clean when they took it away. We also found the trivia to be pretty easy, as the two of us could answer almost all of the questions correct. My only complaint (if you could really even call it that) is that there are two entrances and you sort of have to look around to catch someone's eye if you come in the door that isn't staffed. That being said- the staff is friendly, they come over when they see you and greet you, and they seem like they're having fun while they work. read more

I went here once and would not go back again. We had to wait for the waitress to take our drink order for 15 minutes. The appetizer was good but our entrees were awful. The fish and chips did not taste good and the second entree the only good thing on the plate was the tater tots. The smoking area outside is right by the entrance. You walk through the smoke to get inside . It was more expensive than going to a nice restaurant. Don't waste your time going here unless you are going to sit and drink at the bar. read more

Their version was chicken with black pepper. Awful. My friend had to ask for more lettuce as my salad was quite a bit larger than hers. The worse faux pas in a restaurant is to not have refillable coffee. We ordered coffee & asked for more. What a shock when we got the bill & saw we were charged for 4 cups of coffee at $2.50 per cup.
