After struggling to find gluten-free vegetarian soy free options in the South Shore these past few days, I was becoming desperate to eat more than packaged meals and snacks I'd brought with me. Thankfully, Yelp helped me locate this gluten-free pizza option and I devoured it. A super friendly lady picked up the phone to take our takeout order down. She expressed care when she heard about the gluten intolerance - giving me further confidence in my choice. It's the first pizza place I've come across where they don't up-charge for a cauliflower crust. The margarita was only $15 (I added olives) and was fresh, delicious, and satisfying. My husband got a bowl of their soup and though he enjoyed the taste and flavors, he felt the quantity was smaller than he was expecting. read more

The restaurant is pretty nice inside with very cool light fixtures. The service was normal and the digital screen showing photos of the food is a nice touch. The menu does seem to have limited options when it comes to seafood considering the location is near the beach. The fried haddock sandwich is a good value. Ordered ahead for take out. It was ready when I arrived and bags were warm. Got home (about 5 minutes) and sat down to the most delicious, well prepared take out ever! The Muscles in wine/garlic were perfectly done, Chicken Satay wraps had fresh, crisp veges and a delicious peanut sauce with just a slight spiciness, and finally the Fried Goat Cheese salad had so many textures and flavors! After an afternoon of traveling, I needed some convenient but high quality food. My fiancé and I had a wedding, so I ordered SandBar takeout. I loved the place as soon as I walked in. Spacious, bright, and "beachy" (in a classy way). Daughtry "what about now" played inside. A good vibe in the first 5 seconds. I ordered the Turkey Burger and my fiancé ordered the pork tacos. My girl has a dairy food allergy and I specifically asked for no cheese. To my amazement, they packaged her order in a separate bag and made sure to mention it had been handled with care -- that's gold. The gentleman was kind and the transaction swift and pleasant. Back at the hotel, the food was nearly perfect. I wish my fries were a bit more crispy, and my fiancé said the pork was a little dry. Still, even in a "to go" setting, we shared an excellent SandBar meal. I'd certainly go back, next time to eat inside to enjoy the music, TVs, and paradise vibes. read more

This place is really neat. It has a light and cheerful atmosphere. It's extremely chill. You can't be in here and not be happy. The wait staff is extremely friendly and prompt. The food is healthy, fresh and flavorful. The only issue we had was with the portions. They were a little bit on the small side, but we were actually full when we finished our food, so I think they're that size intentionally as not be wasteful. I really like this spot. My fiancé loves the tvs for the sports bar use of it. We will be back here for game days for sure. Seating is comfortable and modern. Fresh and hip place to hang. read more

So we really had a great experience here. Moira not sure it's that's correct but she was a lovely lady and so caring to detail. My husband ordered a salad and it was so generous and fresh and delicious I ate half of it lol. I had the fish and chips and the fish was a generous portion of haddock and other best I've had in a long time. I miss having normal crunchy batter but the panko was pretty good just not what I prefer. Coleslaw was just okay nothing special. Could have tasted a lot better, but still on whole I enjoyed it all. We love the Sandbar! We typically go light with the single nachos & an order of chicken fingers. The nachos are loaded & tasty plus filling. They spoil my husband giving him a variety of sauces fir the fingers. The drinks are hearty & reasonably priced not your 3-sip & gone $12 cocktail. Nothing worst than a small drink at a full price. You typically see the husband & wife owners present & very hands-on. On a recent night, my husband commented on the Chicken Pot Pie soup lusted in the menu & the owner said 'thats my mother's recipe from Pennsylvania' so he tried it & loved it. He told her he was glad he tried it. They have a Karaoke Night along with 1-3 piece bands & singers. Being a beach town Summer nights can get very busy. The owner deleted my review on google, but I'm still going to post it here cause not posting it is not advocating for my daughter. The service was awful. Worst mojito I've ever tasted. All our food was burned. I asked for a small pizza for my daughter and it was also burned and it was not fresh, it was reheated. I paid cash and was waiting for my change to come so I can give a tip to the waitress; the bill was $60, I paid with a $100 and was only given $35 back, so I left less tip than planned cause they already took $5 dollars extra. My daughter is autistic and she was a little overwhelmed and had a little tantrum so I'm not sure if the service was bad because of that, or that the waitresses were weirded out by my accent, but either way, it was a terrible experience. *Update* By reading the replies on all customer's reviews including the reply I received, you can tell what kind of person is the owner of this place. In fact, that's the first thing a baby does when coming out of the womb, so it's THAT natural! As an owner of a restaurant you should be in favor of a breastfeeding mother and against the intolerant people you lied about saying they left. The fact that you say so proudly that you're a woman after saying such comment is embarrassing. I did not choose to "attack" nor say any hurtful comments to your staff, I simply shared my experience which I have all the rights to do. Went on a busy Saturday night for a few cocktails. The bartender (who we didn't know was also the owner) was attentive, friendly and helpful and Drinks came out fast. Kitchen was closing, so we moved on to the next bar for a late snack. Fast forward an hour and the owner found me 3 bars away to bring me my makeup bag that fell out of my purse on to the booth. My husband and I were there for a overnight to celebrate his Bday. I have many allergies and it is always a struggle to find a reputable Gluten free menu. The staff was amazing and owner came over to talk with me about my allergies and made some suggestions. The food was amazing! This place is fantastic! It's great for everyone - sports bar meets beach hangout, and it's very kid friendly! The owners went out of their way to print coloring pages for the kiddos and let them into their stash of bendy straws, which we all still play with today :) The menu has lots of yummy options (including gluten and dairy free -- they are very aware of allergies which is awesome) and we love the vibe of the space so we keep going back! read more

My friends and I who are hull residents stopped in for a beer with friends. Our waitress was wonderful and took our drink order right away. As we were halfway through our drinks another woman who was not our waitress came over and demanded our ids immediately. We are all between the ages of 22-24 so we had no problem giving our ids. One of our friends recently got married so one of them had an out of state Id. The woman asked for a second form which my friend handed over her military id no problem. She explained her license name has her maiden name and her military id has her married name. The woman tried to kick her out immediately for having an out of state id but agreed she would scan them all. After they were scanned our waitress returned them. The woman that came over and demanded our ids didn't bring them back or apologize. Overall not a great experience. read more

Happy to please a preggy! -- I am 7.5 months pregnant, and married to somebody that really wanted to watch the UFC fights, and the Sandbar couldn't have been more accommodating! I called and asked if reservations were available, and although they weren't, the sweet hostess asked the manager, and a hightop was reserved for us with ease! Once we arrived, the atmosphere did not disappoint-- it was lively, but not wild, a great mix of people, and absolutely perfect to catch an event. We were also able to sneak into the last few minutes of the full dinner menu, and as a foodie that doesn't love suburban food, I was super content! They had great clean food options (quinoa, dairy free options, mixed greens etc.), as well as the classics but elevated. Ordered takeout. Some of the food was really good, some was bad, some we didn't even receive. My brother was excited to try their clam chowder, but we didn't get it. I called them back and they said they'd give us a credit. The fries were inedible. They were cold and absorbed all of the oil, obviously weren't cooked long enough or hot enough. Cheese curd were good, but didn't come with the sauce we ordered. Would have been excellent if they were hot and cooked thoroughly. The fried haddock sandwich was also missing the sauce... tartar sauce is essential for that meal. All of the lettuce in the Cajun chicken wrap was wilted, but the chicken I ate out of it was delicious though. On a positive note, the chicken tenders, fried haddock, chicken sandwich, and veggie wrap were fantastic! We really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately would not do takeout from them again... would only give them another chance dining in. read more
