upon entry, you are greeted by a whole host of dining area that can accommodate large groups up to about 10 people. You automatically notice the large screens broadcasting a various amount of sports right by the bar and it catches your attention. This is not your typical dining area, but a sports entertainment restaurant. it is located centrally by the Boston convention center downtown and situated inside the Omni hotel. The menu vote for a good variety of different foods pretty much American fair. Definitely worth trying. read more

Food (pasta with cheese with mishroom and added lobster) was out of this world. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as there is a special food all game (Bundesliga) that most people might not be interested when Premier League is playing, but they helped and put it on one of their screens. You will see from the Pic how impressive the whole setting is. Good for sports fans but still good for diners. read more

Brazil vs. Morocco was an amazing match on its own, but watching it here? A solid 7/10. The atmosphere was electric, and the food was exactly what you'd expect from a sports bar good, standard game day fare. The score dropped a few points solely because of the number of people's hair that nearly ended up in my drink. If you're planning to watch a game here, learn from my mistake: do NOT sit in the middle row. Choose a spot against the wall or grab a seat at the bar instead! read more

Honestly pleasantly surprised by this upscale sports bar. I'm not usually one for sports bar, but they really managed to create an aesthetic that feels really nice while also cramming in a bunch of tvs. The bar makes one big loop (not quite circular) and from any seat you've got plenty of tv views. Really cool. The vibes and lighting are nice. It feels cozy and warm where so many sports bars feel cold and washed out from the tvs. Well done on the design. Pretty extensive selection of whiskey I was sitting in front of. A few cool options for cocktails on the menu. I went for a special 10 year whistle pig cocktail, it ended up being a bit too sweet for me with the maple syrup, but it was a cool one to try none the less. While I was there they had some game day specials. The slider trio seemed like a good option to try a lobster roll, smashburger, and nashville hot chicken sandwich all in one go. I ended up just going for the main lobster roll which was $52 mkt price. Quite steep. The lobster roll was different, with a miso butter. The whole thing was quite saucy and messy, and probably could have used a bit less of the sauce which somewhat overpowered the lobster. Wouldn't go for this again at this price, but again, a fun twist to try. I was here utilizing my $100 credit towards the Omni hotel and blew through it quite quickly. Not mad about it though. This was the one redeeming point on my visit to this hotel, maybe not enough to stay there again. But as far as a bar at the bottom of a hotel, this is one I would not mind going back to. read more

We came to Boston to celebrate Thanksgiving and came to the Sporting Club for dinner after eating and exploring around town during the afternoon. Normally, I steer away from restaurants/bars that are sports-focused as they often offer subpar food and a loud environment, not the most family friendly. However, I was wowed by Sporting Club on multiple levels. First of all, upon entering, you get to walk on the wooden floors that they moved from a former practice court of the Celtics. How cool is that! Then, it gets better as you walk through what feels like a tunnel, which leads to an impressive interior with high ceilings and multiple TV screens that wrap around the walls. As a basketball fan, I felt like I was walking through the tunnel as a player onto a court. They didn't rest their impressiveness on the aesthetics only. The food here deserves your attention as well. We ordered each of our boys a kids meal, not expecting much. They ordered fresh fruits as a side, which turned out to be the nicest fresh fruit bowl I have seen for kids (or even adults!) This was not your typical sliced apples in a bag. This was a fresh cut bowl of sliced apples, sliced bananas, strawberries, and grapes. I was truly impressed by this attention given to the kids meal. Kudos to the kitchen! We ordered the dip with chorizos and it was simply the largest plate of chips and dip I've ever ordered. The tortilla chips were fresh and warm. The dip was creamy and complex in flavors. We also ordered and shared the rigatoni, which was well balanced and tasty. I was surprised to actually see the size of the crowd at the restaurant on this holiday evening. Well, maybe I shouldn't be so surprised given the quality of the food and its classy and tasteful interiors. The service was decent overall given how busy the restaurant was. read more

LOVE this place! Highly recommend their espresso martini, honey whiskey old fashioned, burger, Caesar salad. we were there for a volleyball tournament and they had a special menu selection for the event, which our daughter enjoyed! I was looking for a place to have some wings and to watch the Celtics game. I came across this place and they are amazing. The service was awesome. And the Honey Bear wings were FIRE! I also had the meatballs and the Brussels sprouts. It was a perfect combination and portion size! I actually ended up ordering another order of wings! the drinks were good as well! I'd highly recommend this place. The only down thing is parking is hard to come by. But we got lucky and found a meter spot. Being that it was Sunday that helped. This atmosphere was perfect for any sports fans. There were at least three games playing in XXL screens. The screens were nice and clear. The place is way larger than I expected. They even had a few Christmas decorations, which was the cherry on top! The food came out pretty quickly however it took a while for our server to come back to check on us. A beautiful sports bar in the Omni Hotel. Which is funny to say since that's not usually how sports bars are described. There were many, very large screens playing various sports across the bar. The bar itself was quite nice to look at. Our servers were very friendly and our drinks were delicious. The Bloody Mary comes with fried clams, lobster, and a giant shrimp on top! read more

We had a reservation for a Saturday night - was able to get in early which was great. The Cheese curds were a true Wisconsin taste (as a Wisconsin native), the power bowl with steak was delicious - very large portions. It was very loud, there are TVs everywhere! Great for grabbing a drink and dinner while watching a game but wouldn't recommend for a date night out. We booked for convenience and proximity to the Westin. We would return. read more

Unfortunately this will have to be my first not-so-great review of the year. Came here with a group of friends for drinks after going to Coquette for dinner, which is also in the Omni Seaport. Meh. I'm not sure if it was just the day I went... the vibes were totally off not only here at the Sporting Club but everywhere we went in the hotel (Coquette, hotel staff, etc) . The energy all around was not pleasant at all. Upon entry, we were all ID'd and I was almost not let in hahaha. They thought I was using a fake ID but I just had different colored hair in my photo. Had to pull out cards with my name on it and everything lol. But that was fine, the annoying part was the service was absolutely awful. It was pretty empty inside; it was just our group and a couple of other people. Took forever for our drinks to be made & the staff who took our order + made the drinks was not nice to us, gave us a lot of attitude but I'm not sure why? We're all very nice and patient. Oh well. The bartenders were kind of just talking to each other for a long time and not making the drinks. Our tab for drinks alone ended up running us ~$900. Maybe we should've just gone out to the club tbh. The drinks themselves were not bad but I will likely be avoiding this place after this visit. If it wasn't for us staying in the hotel, I don't think I would've stepped foot in at all. read more

Surprisingly great food and a good open and clean sports bar vibe. Had the pork belly for 2 (tons of food) and the churro dessert--that also came with a side of choco moose. Wine was a good pour and decent. Whenever I'm back the the area--will definitely revisit. Reasonably priced. read more

Convenient location if you're attending an event at the Menino convention center. I visited for dinner and then lunch. The waiter recommended the chicken club sandwich and the Asian crunch salad and I had both for my meals. The chicken club is cooked well with thick bacon and a sweet and spicy sauce. It is a little messy. I had the Asian crunch salad with salmon which was cooked perfectly. The salad has a light dressing and a citrusy flavor. Very tasty. Our waiter was very helpful but service was a little slow. This is definitely a sports bar with TVs everywhere and it was noisy in the evening but quiet for lunch. read more

We were at the convention center for the Fan Expo Boston and this was the closest sit down restaurant with space at the time we decided to have lunch. It's inside the Omni Hotel (I think? Or the Weston?) with a very nondescript entrance on the side of the building. You walk inside and it opens up to this massive space that smells amazing with large round booths and tables. There is a large bar in the middle with plenty of seating. We chose a curved booth and perused the menu. Things are incredibly overpriced, but that's due to the location. We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon and the burger. Both were good. Not omg amazing, but good. Service was fine. Great AC, appropriate volume for the music, bathrooms clean and well kept. read more

This place is really going downnhill. Just got an undercooked burger the other day. My husband and I won't be coming back anytime soon.

I heard they had the best crinkle fries here so I went. I was really let down when I got them and they were cold and soggy :(

The atmosphere here is prime when you want to watch a game, they have plenty of large screen TVs all throughout. They also have a great selection of beers, which were refreshing. We ended up grabbing some late night apps and went with the chicken wings and the queso. The chicken wings were really delicious and we loved the sauce. The queso was okay- the chorizo overpowered the dish and wasn't a good combo. read more

When we arrived at the hotel, The Sporting Club was the only restaurant still open (or, at least, the others were on the cusp of closing, as it was 8:50 p.m.). So my party of three headed to The Sporting Club. After taking a moment to finish their conversation, two greeters asked if we had reservations, which we didn't. They said it would be a few minutes because trivia was just wrapping up. I peeked into the restaurant because I was eager to see the locale Open Table had called an "illustrious sanctuary." The restaurant was not even half full, and trivia was over! This got me wondering why we couldn't be seated. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes. The inside of The Sporting Club is not what I would call an illustrious sanctuary, but it definitely has a great ambience. It's somewhere I can see hanging out with friends after work. There's great energy and lots of space while still feeling intimate. The TVs are massive! We waited quite a while for a server to come to our table. This was a challenge throughout our meal. When we finished our meal, we had to flag down a busser to request our check. Even after that, we waited a long time. However, the food was delicious! Our server made helpful recommendations and was super knowledgeable about the menu. Was the restaurant having an off night? I don't know. I can only judge it by my experience. And based on that, I deem it three stars. After all, the service you receive is a huge part of the dining experience. read more

What a cool place to get high end drinks, food and share the space with sport enthusiasts! This place surprised me in the best way with how sophisticated it looks! Fun fact, the have the Celtics floor from the arena when you first step into the doors. When I first walked in, I'll admit I expected your typical sports bar with so-so food. But the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere and space took me by surprise. It exudes high-end vibes, and I was instantly impressed. Speaking of food, it was nothing short of amazing. My personal favorites were the lobster roll and the grilled cheese. But what really stole the show were the fries, made even more addictive by their secret kimchi sauce - a flavor explosion I won't soon forget. And let's talk drinks. They were top-notch, to say the least, and they added to the overall upscale experience. One of the highlights of the evening was getting to know the executive chef, Yousef. I was thrilled to discover that he was a former contestant on Chopped, and even more so when I found out he was a winner! I will be coming back here for friend nights and date nights! read more

This restaurant is such a cool concept the decor is amazing. I was hoping for a more extensive drink menu because I came for lunch and a signature cocktail has to sound amazing for me to order one with lunch but I'm sure I'll be back for dinner and I'll try one then. The hummus platter was amazing I would come back in a heart beat just for that. The chicken sandwich was super crispy and the fries were delicious. The other members of my party had the Asian salad and really liked it especially the bottom since that's where the dressing sits and the panini had a great cheese pull and was delicious. The service was not very good at all the waitress was hard to find but it could have been an off shift so I'll definitely give it another chance. #omni #lunch #Boston #Massachusetts #hummus #chickensandwich #panini #asiansalad read more

Another five star experience at the Sporting Club on Friday after Thanksgiving! We came to the Snowport holiday market but the line wrapped around the block and we didn't feel like waiting an hour to get it. Plus it was around 2 in the afternoon and so we decided to come here for lunch! Glad we did! I got the Mezze platter again which was delicious same as last time! The pita bread was greasy warm and soft. The dips were great hummus, labneh and eggplant plus crunchy veggies. Yum!! The hubs got the chicken club sandwich which he enjoyed. Our niece got the salmon which was really great- crispy on the outside and tender flaky inside. Warm Pretzels were very good too. Overall we're happy campers with all the food plus have leftovers to take home! After playing all afternoon at the Lawn on D, we wanted to sit in a dark, cool place and nibble on some food and refreshing drinks. Oddly, I did not get any pics of the food, but I did get a few of the inside. Very cool walking in; the hallway feels like you are walking into a stadium, with lockers on the wall and massive curved TVs for sporting view pleasure. We sat at one of the half-moon booths and loved it. Freida, our server, was such a doll and so professional and accommodating! We had oysters, spicy meatballs, and a butternut squash panzenella salad with a honey vinaigrette! Everything was super tasty, well-cooked, and seasoned. Freida talked us into dessert, and when the apple cider bread pudding wasn't available, we got the churros. Super yummo! I loved the vibe and aesthetics of the place; I could possibly be talked into heading into the city to watch a Patriots game here! :) read more

This is not your typical hotel bar. This is The Bar. We have been here every night of our stay. One day we came twice in one day. The menu is wonderful. We loved the meatballs but didn't get a picture because we ate them so quickly. The cheese board was great and my husband liked his burger. I have to be gluten free and the staff went above and beyond. Steven made excellent suggestions for substituons and by day two he was more alert of my needs than I was. Hot damn this was a surprise! Usually hotel sport bars are kinda lame. They will have kinda fried greasy food and just be a tired scene. Here? They have really surprisingly good food and absolutely stellar staff. I did not come into contact with any worker here who wasn't really nice and they have personality as well! Alright alright let's get down to it shall we? I know I did when I ordered the lobster roll! Lobster roll: When they served me this I suddenly became the most interesting person sitting at the bar... ok ok I know it was the roll but people were just staring and talking about it. They should, because it was so huge and full of lobster! Like absolutely huge. They are not messing around here. I think to the ones I get in San Diego and they are so small... I felt bad because I couldn't even finish it and all these hungry eyes were on me. So. Much. Lobster. The lemon miso mixed with it is just amazing. There is a richness in it but also there is a distinct lemon brightness that just pairs amazingly with the butter toasted bread and chunks of lobster. The guy next to me apologized for watching me eat. I will be honest I was a little self conscious digging into it with so many jealous eyes watching. Also I want to say that the bartender was amazing because he saw some guy trying to talk to me a lot and he came over to make sure I felt safe. He made it very easy for me to extract myself from the unwanted interaction so that I could bounce! Such a great experience overall I came here twice for the rolls and another time to have drinks with my coworkers. read more

Disappointing experience with the front-of-house. While the wait staff was great, the entry experience was incredibly off-putting. I was met at the door by a tall, bald man who was unnecessarily rude. When I told him my party was already seated, he loudly and dismissively told me to wait and that he'd 'address us later.' Pretty tight in here, but they make good use of the space they do have. There are at least 10 tvs, but they're up above and around the wall so you aren't bombarded with them, and can see many at once. You're also greeted by comfy seats around a pretty interestingly angled bar. Because of the limited space you'll probably want to avoid peak lunch and dinner rushes, but if you can nab a spot, try the Nashville hot chicken. read more
