I was looking for a place to have some wings and to watch the Celtics game. I came across this place and they are amazing. The service was awesome. And the Honey Bear wings were FIRE! I also had the meatballs and the Brussels sprouts. It was a perfect combination and portion size! I actually ended up ordering another order of wings! the drinks were good as well! I'd highly recommend this place. The only down thing is parking is hard to come by. But we got lucky and found a meter spot. Being that it was Sunday that helped. Unfortunately this will have to be my first not-so-great review of the year. Came here with a group of friends for drinks after going to Coquette for dinner, which is also in the Omni Seaport. Meh. I'm not sure if it was just the day I went... the vibes were totally off not only here at the Sporting Club but everywhere we went in the hotel (Coquette, hotel staff, etc) . The energy all around was not pleasant at all. Upon entry, we were all ID'd and I was almost not let in hahaha. They thought I was using a fake ID but I just had different colored hair in my photo. Had to pull out cards with my name on it and everything lol. But that was fine, the annoying part was the service was absolutely awful. It was pretty empty inside; it was just our group and a couple of other people. Took forever for our drinks to be made & the staff who took our order + made the drinks was not nice to us, gave us a lot of attitude but I'm not sure why? We're all very nice and patient. Oh well. The bartenders were kind of just talking to each other for a long time and not making the drinks. Our tab for drinks alone ended up running us ~$900. Maybe we should've just gone out to the club tbh. The drinks themselves were not bad but I will likely be avoiding this place after this visit. If it wasn't for us staying in the hotel, I don't think I would've stepped foot in at all. read more

Honestly pleasantly surprised by this upscale sports bar. I'm not usually one for sports bar, but they really managed to create an aesthetic that feels really nice while also cramming in a bunch of tvs. The bar makes one big loop (not quite circular) and from any seat you've got plenty of tv views. Really cool. The vibes and lighting are nice. It feels cozy and warm where so many sports bars feel cold and washed out from the tvs. Well done on the design. Pretty extensive selection of whiskey I was sitting in front of. A few cool options for cocktails on the menu. I went for a special 10 year whistle pig cocktail, it ended up being a bit too sweet for me with the maple syrup, but it was a cool one to try none the less. While I was there they had some game day specials. The slider trio seemed like a good option to try a lobster roll, smashburger, and nashville hot chicken sandwich all in one go. I ended up just going for the main lobster roll which was $52 mkt price. Quite steep. The lobster roll was different, with a miso butter. The whole thing was quite saucy and messy, and probably could have used a bit less of the sauce which somewhat overpowered the lobster. Wouldn't go for this again at this price, but again, a fun twist to try. I was here utilizing my $100 credit towards the Omni hotel and blew through it quite quickly. Not mad about it though. This was the one redeeming point on my visit to this hotel, maybe not enough to stay there again. But as far as a bar at the bottom of a hotel, this is one I would not mind going back to. read more

We came to Boston to celebrate Thanksgiving and came to the Sporting Club for dinner after eating and exploring around town during the afternoon. Normally, I steer away from restaurants/bars that are sports-focused as they often offer subpar food and a loud environment, not the most family friendly. However, I was wowed by Sporting Club on multiple levels. First of all, upon entering, you get to walk on the wooden floors that they moved from a former practice court of the Celtics. How cool is that! Then, it gets better as you walk through what feels like a tunnel, which leads to an impressive interior with high ceilings and multiple TV screens that wrap around the walls. As a basketball fan, I felt like I was walking through the tunnel as a player onto a court. They didn't rest their impressiveness on the aesthetics only. The food here deserves your attention as well. We ordered each of our boys a kids meal, not expecting much. They ordered fresh fruits as a side, which turned out to be the nicest fresh fruit bowl I have seen for kids (or even adults!) This was not your typical sliced apples in a bag. This was a fresh cut bowl of sliced apples, sliced bananas, strawberries, and grapes. I was truly impressed by this attention given to the kids meal. Kudos to the kitchen! We ordered the dip with chorizos and it was simply the largest plate of chips and dip I've ever ordered. The tortilla chips were fresh and warm. The dip was creamy and complex in flavors. We also ordered and shared the rigatoni, which was well balanced and tasty. I was surprised to actually see the size of the crowd at the restaurant on this holiday evening. Well, maybe I shouldn't be so surprised given the quality of the food and its classy and tasteful interiors. The service was decent overall given how busy the restaurant was. read more

It is a little messy. I had the Asian crunch salad with salmon which was cooked perfectly. The salad has a light dressing and a citrusy flavor. Very tasty. We were at the convention center for the Fan Expo Boston and this was the closest sit down restaurant with space at the time we decided to have lunch. It's inside the Omni Hotel (I think? Or the Weston?) with a very nondescript entrance on the side of the building. You walk inside and it opens up to this massive space that smells amazing with large round booths and tables. There is a large bar in the middle with plenty of seating. We chose a curved booth and perused the menu. Things are incredibly overpriced, but that's due to the location. We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon and the burger. Both were good. Not omg amazing, but good. Service was fine. The inside of The Sporting Club is not what I would call an illustrious sanctuary, but it definitely has a great ambience. It's somewhere I can see hanging out with friends after work. There's great energy and lots of space while still feeling intimate. The TVs are massive! We waited quite a while for a server to come to our table. This was a challenge throughout our meal. When we finished our meal, we had to flag down a busser to request our check. Even after that, we waited a long time. However, the food was delicious! Our server made helpful recommendations and was super knowledgeable about the menu. Was the restaurant having an off night? I don't know. I can only judge it by my experience. What a cool place to get high end drinks, food and share the space with sport enthusiasts! This place surprised me in the best way with how sophisticated it looks! Fun fact, the have the Celtics floor from the arena when you first step into the doors. When I first walked in, I'll admit I expected your typical sports bar with so-so food. Another five star experience at the Sporting Club on Friday after Thanksgiving! We came to the Snowport holiday market but the line wrapped around the block and we didn't feel like waiting an hour to get it. Plus it was around 2 in the afternoon and so we decided to come here for lunch! Glad we did! I got the Mezze platter again which was delicious same as last time! The pita bread was greasy warm and soft. The dips were great hummus, labneh and eggplant plus crunchy veggies. Yum!! The hubs got the chicken club sandwich which he enjoyed. Our niece got the salmon which was really great- crispy on the outside and tender flaky inside. Warm Pretzels were very good too. Overall we're happy campers with all the food plus have leftovers to take home! An excellent cocktail list, and bartender was one aspect of that, but I also had a variety of food that they had produced for a business meal. This is not your typical hotel bar. This is The Bar. We have been here every night of our stay. One day we came twice in one day. The menu is wonderful. We loved the meatballs but didn't get a picture because we ate them so quickly. The cheese board was great and my husband liked his burger. I have to be gluten free and the staff went above and beyond. Steven made excellent suggestions for substituons and by day two he was more alert of my needs than I was. Steven and Dennis are experts in their cocktail crafts. There was soccer on every day and I wish we could come back to experience football and hockey here in the fall. We sat at one of the half-moon booths and loved it. Freida, our server, was such a doll and so professional and accommodating! There is a richness in it but also there is a distinct lemon brightness that just pairs amazingly with the butter toasted bread and chunks of lobster. We stopped in to watch a basketball game and they immediately accommodated us by changing it on two of the tvs!!! The bartender was amazing, funny, and engaging.
