You're here for drinks and sports bar vibe, and you don't know how to do brunch, and that's fine. The pancakes are so dry and the egg plates look like they're re-hydrated astronaut food. The brown sugar latte was good except it's just cold brew which is actually not in fact a latte and it's also $8 which is impressively more than Starbucks. The Broadway is such a solid brunch spot. We came on Easter, which was definitely a quiet day there. We had some mimosas, the potato skillet, and the biscuits and gravy. The skillet was so good, like too good. I think I could've eaten a second one if I really pushed myself. The biscuits were incredible too. We had a side of this homemade hot sauce they make, which went really well with it. I put hot sauce on everything though, you don't need the hot sauce for this. Service was great, attentive, and quick. Friendly staff, and overall good vibes from the place. This would be great to watch a game as they have a nice bar and TVs. Came here during the parade and the service was good for how packed busy everything was. There was a DJ playing right by us which elevated the ambiance. I came here last Sunday with a friend for brunch. We both ordered the Chilaquiles which were very tasty and came with a generous serving of avocado. If that's all I had ordered, I would give this place 5 stars, but I was disappointed that my iced coffee was watery and came out of a can (it was not made in-house) and the hash I ordered as a side item tasted like a brittle rice cake with no flavor. The service was excellent, which is why I am giving them four stars. Our waiter was accommodating and attentive and when I complained about the hash he immediately offered to take it off the bill. The vibe is youthful and relaxed. There is a bar area, which I imagine is active in the evenings. 3rd visit, so far has not disappointed. Parking can be tricky, hostess right at the entrance, always welcoming. Dinner time usually dim lighting sport game on the screens and $1.00 oysters. The nachos are portions for 4. If you like pickles I suggest the crunchy spicy pickles, let me warn you the spicy builds up. The wings are good. The shrimp was delicious. On Wednesdays the Broadway does $1 oysters and oh my goodness were these oysters tasty! They were so juicy, fresh and delicious with a slightly sweet aftertaste! Highly, highly recommend coming here for these tasty oysters. We also got a BW burger with bacon, really juicy burger with some amazing fries and a crisp pickle! Perfect combo! Their spicy kale bowl with steak tips was really yummy and interesting. Our first time trying a crispy, multi-textured salad of buckwheat groats, Calabrian Chile, charred broccoli, and crispy kale. The greens were a little bitter, but at least it was a little spicy, which was just perfect for us. Loved this place, we'll definitely be back again! We came here on a Wednesday evening with reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant was not too busy and had a nice vibe in there . There were families in there with young children but I can definitely see this place being a great host for a younger crowd on a Friday/Saturday night. Our waiter was nice and attentive for the most part. We got the tempura cauliflower as an appetizer, burrito bowl with chicken, mac and cheese with buffalo chicken and for dessert we got the warm brownie sundae. For drinks we got the persephone, fiore and espresso martini. The tempura cauliflower was just OK, it didn't wow me. It seems like they just lightly fried unseasoned cauliflower and put a cup of franks buffalo sauce on this side. The burrito bowl was great and definitely something I would get again. There were not too many chicken strips in it but it was a simple meal that tasted great. The avocado slices complimented the dish well along with the rice and beans. The mac and cheese with buffalo chicken was not the greatest mac and cheese I've ever had and I would probably not recommend it to someone who is craving mac and cheese. There were just a few strips of buffalo chicken in it and I probably should not have spent the extra money on getting the buffalo chicken addition. The espresso martini was not a good choice, I would not recommend it to someone. As for the other drinks, the fiore and persephone, none of these wowed me. The warm brownie sundae was incredibly underwhelming as well and would not reccomend this. Overall, I would not go out of my way to come back to this place but if I was in the area and wanted to grab a some food I might stop in here but I would also be open to trying other places in the area first. read more

Met two friends for brunch. It wasn't my favorite. The eggs weren't seasoned (with anything -- not even butter). The homefries were soggy and the sausage were an odd flavor for "breakfast sausage". My husband and I went in for brunch and we sat at the bar. The bar staff was not engaging at all. I ordered a wine and the glass was very dirty with something sticking on it. We placed our order and we had questions about dietary restrictions and they answered our questions which was great. We got our food and we only had one set of silverware. It took awhile to finally get another set and I had already almost finished my rice bowl. The bartenders never checked on us after getting our food. Visited the Broadway tonight for the first time after moving to Southie about a month ago and can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable neighborhood bar/restaurant experiences I've had. The atmosphere was particularly notable as on this night they offered a choice of a really fun bar / sports viewing experience in the back area or a more subdued quiet dinner experience in the front area. (we did both!) In addition to that the staff was beyond friendly and attentive and the food - while still a bar menu - was above average and had some fun non-traditional items on it to elevate the sports viewing experience.
