Stopped by drifters today for lunch and it was a cool spot. It gives off trendy, sports bar vibes with a nice cocktail menu and tons of beer options. They have 4 TVs that can be seen from the whole place. We got the smash burger, pizza and Greek salad. The smash burgers and fries were tasty and the bar style pizza was solid, it's nice and thin so easy to share. The Greek salad was average but overall service was good and a good spot to catch a game or for a casual meal.

Delish! This is one of those new-age modern gastropubs that seem to be popping up everywhere these days. Its got the funky menu, cute decor and good vibes all around! My girlfriends and I came in for dinner on a Friday night. We started with the crab rangoon dip and it tasted just like a deconstructed crab rangoon! I couldn't stop eating it and still wanted more when we were done... For my entree, I ordered the Drifters burger with spicy ranch fries. It was a smash burger that tasted just like a bigger/better restaurant version of a big mac! The shoe-string fries were good too, but they did not taste like "spicy ranch." They just tasted like well-seasoned fries. Regardless, I would definitely order this meal again! My Drifters martini and espresso martini were fantastic as well. The menu felt a bit limited (3 entrees?) but perhaps that will change over time. If you're as old as I am and remember when this location was Sarsfields Pub, I would recommend checking it out :)

Stopped in last night for a couple drinks and light bites and overall, it's a solid place. At 5:30pm, there was already a 40-minute wait for a table on a Friday. Stuff we ordered: *Oysters - Excellent, fresh and briny! *Buffalo chicken pizza - Pizza was so thin, I would actually describe it more as a cracker and the buffalo sauce definitely had a nice kick. Beware if you can't take the heat but we really enjoyed this. *Zucchini fries - These were good and best described as more like a tempura. *Tuna tartare - I didn't have any set expectations on how it would it look like coming out but when it did, it looked like a few bites on a chip and not very memorable. I would probably pass on this the next time I'm back. Very casual spot with sort of a retro ambience and service was friendly and welcoming. They also have dollar oysters Sunday - Wednesday I believe so I shall be back to slurp at a discount ;)

Drifters is another welcome addition to the Quincy Bar/Restaurant scene. It's in a great location on Hancock street a quick walk from the Kilroy Place parking garage or there is street parking. It has a really cool vibe to it with a lot of great energy and music. One of the things I love about this place is the diversity of the clientele. I've met groups in their 20's/30's and 50's. The age groups all mix well and contribute to a chill atmosphere. Makes for a great spot to take a date or significant other. For food I've had to-go pizza which is very good and on a recent visit had a couple of things from the late night bar menu. My friend ordered a Bacon and Pineapple pizza something I normally wouldn't consider but it was a fabulous combination of ingredients- it's a MUST TRY (see my pic). We also had the spicy ranch fries which were incredibly flavorful and just the right amount of salt! They also have a very focused wine list that has some very high quality pics - try the Charles and Charles "Bolt" Cabernet, it's big bold and juicy. Or the San Polo Rubio - a soft and silky Sangiovese blend. The drink is very creative and they have a great tequila selection (my fav is Tres Agaves Blanco). The beer on draft is remarkably cold - one of my pet peeves is warm draft lines. Overall this is a fantastic pic for food and nightlife. High on the recommended list!!

You should go here! Really pleased with my experience. The service was really great and attentive. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday but still easy to get a table. I don't think they take reservations. The food was very yummy. They do smash burgers! And the cocktails are great. Most importantly though, it was well priced. Cocktails were $13, burgers were around $15 and we shared some oysters which were only $1/per (they have this price quite a few days throughout the week). It's only street parking but there's a $1/hour parking garage right next to it so it's very accessible.

This is such a cute little restaurant in Quincy center. Our waitress was super kind and raved about the burger being the best one she's had, so we ordered it and wasn't disappointed.

Steak frites au poivre and fig, pig, arugula pizza
    Alyanna T.

My partner and I shared a half-dozen $1 oysters, drifter burger, steak frites au poivre, and fig, pig, arugula pizza - TASTE: 4/5 - what we liked: the drifter sauce in the burger, peppercorn-crusted steak, dijon mari pepper & cognac dream sauce to dip the fries in, and the salty bacon lardon on the pizza. Now I typically love fig, goat cheese, and arugula pizzas, but the fig spread/honey drizzle on this one was way too sweet, even for me! Made it hard to want to eat TEXTURE: 4/5 - the shoestring fries had great texture & were addicting to eat, and the steak was tender and fatty. The pizza was thinner and crisper than I expected, again wasn't my favorite. Wish the burger's smash patties were more smashed w a crisper crust PRICE: 4/5 - love $1 oysters. The steak entree was expensive at $34. Total came to $92 SERVING SIZE: 3/5 - wish there was more steak in my dish SERVICE: 4/5 - tried walking in once before and was sad the wait was 45min. We learned this time lol, made an online reservation an hour earlier, and arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday. Our waitress was attentive, and food started coming out 15-20min after ordering ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - different vibe than the former Idle Hour space w a neon sign, large mural, "green" ceiling, and good playlist. Unfortunately, we just missed the live musician who was setting up as we were leaving PARKING: 4/5 - couldn't find a street spot on Hancock St. Glad that Kilroy Square Garage nearby has $1 parking

This was such a great place to grab dinner on a Saturday night! This restaurant opened a few months ago back in February this year so my husband and I were interested in checking it out. When you walk in, the place is clean with an inviting atmosphere. There is a good amount of seating along with a huge bar. We were able to sit in one of there booths which was very comfortable. For the food, it is mainly American with a few Italian options. My husband got the Drifter Burger, I got the Maine Dog and we got the Roni Pizza to share. The hot dog was very flavorful with its toppings and trying my husband's burger, it was very tender with a great sauce. The shoestring style fries they both came with...to die for! They were so excellently seasoned. And for the pizza it was such a nice combination of sweet and savory with a crispy thin crust. The portions were great as well and the food came out quickly. Overall delicious! They also have a brunch menu on the weekends as well just so you know too. The server we had was very friendly and always checked in to make sure we were doing okay. Thank you to all of the staff for a great meal and experience!

Review for Drifters Bar & Kitchen - Quincy, MA We stopped into Drifters Bar & Kitchen for a casual lunch, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming ambiance and stylish, relaxed vibe made us feel right at home. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing -- a perfect balance. We started with the lemon pepper chicken wings, and I can honestly say they were the best lemon pepper wings I've had in my life -- perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right punch of flavor. Absolutely addictive. For our entrees, our son had the grilled cheese with fries, and not only did it look delicious, but he also cleaned his plate -- something that rarely happens. My wife and I both ordered the smash burger with fries, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right -- the kind of burger that reminds you why classics are classics when done right. Even though we were pretty full, we decided to try the beignets for dessert because everything else had been so good -- and they did not disappoint. Light, warm, and dusted with just the right amount of sugar, they were the perfect sweet finish to the meal. All in all, Drifters delivered on food, service, and ambiance. We're already looking forward to coming back -- whether for lunch, dinner, or just some more of those incredible wings.

Chayne, our waitress was great! Super helpful, informative, and friendly. She checked in a lot. The drinks were delicious. Service was great- from the hostess, bar, to our table service. The food was great - we started with the zucchini fries, so flavorful! We had the roni pizza & the burger with the homemade chips -- both were so good. We will 10/10 be back! The owner came over more than twice to check in. Awesome spot in Quincy!

    Espresso martini, above the clouds
    Kim D.

Came here for the first time to check it out. We got cocktails - the espresso martini and above the clouds. Both drinks were out of balance. I didn't understand what I was tasting. I'd only come here for the vibes but the drinks and the food, saw what was being serve, looked average.

Formerly known as The Townshend, this Quincy local restaurant is the best place for exceptional service, fantastic food, creative cocktails and am Ambiance that will sure impress any date. This might be my 3rd or 5th review because why not! When you find a place that you love you brag about it. For starters we shared their fried pickles with their homemade ranch dressing. We also love their stuffed dates. For entrees, I had their Salmon which is always cooked to perfection. My husband's had their Steak Frites which he enjoyed very much. Dessert is always a tough choice since all of them are excellent but this time we went with their brownie sundae. After plenty of glasses of wine and some dirty martinis let's just say we didn't want to leave but it was getting late. If you have never been to Dotty's or their other restaurants I highly recommend checking them out! Cheers

Met up with some good friends in Quincy and we're looking for a place to eat. Conveniently located by the Quincy Center stop, this place was great! We were seated quickly without a reservation (though clearly it can get popular, we showed up at 5:30 and by 6 the place was full of reserved parties!) and our server was very helpful. We got the fried calamari and the steak tartare as starters. While the calamari itself was crunchy and nicely lightly battered and fried, I would guesstimate that about 50% of the dish was actually calamari. The rest of the fried bits were carrot coins, lemon slices (with the seeds still in...) and what I think were pieces of poblano peppers. This honestly felt disappointing as the portion was quite small to start, and then for half of it to be miscellaneous fried veggies felt like it wasn't a great deal. The steak tartare was also an extremely tiny portion, with the plate heavily populated by arugula leaves and six tiny toasts. Not the most generous portions here unfortunately. I got the steak frites as my main. The steak itself was presently beautifully with a peppercorn sauce poured over it. However, I was looking for the salt shaker because the steak was quite underseasoned. While it looked like a good medium rare cook (how I ordered it) with a great looking sear, I had quite a bit of chew work to do getting through the gristly bits. The fatty side cap was a bit chewy and could have used some direct searing. The oysters were delicious! Not even a little bit of grit, with a very onion-heavy mignonette as an accompaniment. We didn't order much from the raw bar due to my friends' tastes but I feel like this would probably be the reason I come back another time with different people! I could have definitely been happier with the food here. But again don't sleep on the raw bar and if you're looking for a nice place to hang for an evening, overall great vibes here!

Cloud Asian Fusion is in the corner of the plaza that houses China Pearl and Kam Man, to the right of Kam Man. It is a long narrow type space. Rather industrial, and concrete. I arrived first and scored the last table in the room with the bar, only to later discover that there were a few tables in the room in the back to the right. My DCs were running late, so I gave our waiter a head's up. He never made me feel bad for taking up the space. And it helped that there was never a queue waiting to be seated that Sunday night. We each ordered our own meal while sharing bites. While there are a few entrees at Cloud Asian Fusion that include both protein and vegetable, such as the Braised White Fish $22 (assorted mushrooms, fried tofu) one DC ordered, mine (Siam Crab Curry $22 - lump crab, spicy red curry, basil, bean sprouts, Thai Chili, thin rice noodles) and my other DC's (Mapo Katsu $16 (chicken katsu, mapo sauce, short grain white rice, furikake) came without (I don't count the small stash of raw bean sprouts on my plate), so I added the blistered green beans $16. Our server was pleasant and told me that they could make anything less mild. Even so, the slow burn from the milder Siam Crab Curry was a bit more than I would have liked. He checked up on me and offered to have the chef prepare a fresh batch with a milder curry powder instead, so I could better enjoy my meal. The original orange yellow of my crab curry bowl was turned a green yellow in its replacement. But it was still tasty, and still generous with lump crab meat. This was a good pick! The green bean vegetable dish was quite good too. I was happy with my meal. I sampled the other two dishes and found the regular mapo sauce recipe too spicy for my taste. The fish dish was tasty, but we found nothing especially fusion about it. 3 stars all around experience, but 4 stars for my own meal.
