Such a fun little Mexican spot right in the heart of Quincy! From what I've heard, this is one of the most popular restaurants in the area, and after learning it's from the same team behind nearby Dotty's Kitchen & Raw Bar (formerly the Townshend), it went right to the top of my list of places to visit. I had no trouble getting a res a couple of days in advance, but the place was packed and pretty small, so I imagine you might have a wait without one (especially with a big group). The space is cute and inviting, and all of the servers we interacted with were really great. We heard Pearl & Lime has a great cocktail program, and it didn't disappoint! I went with the Mo Problems margarita (nice balance of spicy with a little sweetness) and they even made an off menu Painkiller for my husband, which he was super excited about. For food, we went with the Chips and Guac, Ceviche, Street Corn, Al Pastor Quesadilla, and Carne Asada, Crispy Pork Belly, and Pulled Chicken tacos. I would order everything again with the exception of the Ceviche - in my opinion it leans on the coconut flavor a bit too much, so it's pretty bland and could use a lil something extra. The Al Pastor Quesadilla would be my #1 recommendation - so tasty and a bit more unique than the other items. I found the pricing reasonable too. This is a great place to get drink with friends or for date night. I got the chips and queso to start with. It had a little bit of spice which is just how I like it. What I love about this place is the chicken birria tacos. Since I don't eat beef, I have a hard time finding substitutions for birria tacos but the chicken birria tacos are delicious. Visited Pearl & Lime with my friend on a Friday around 6pm! We were seated fairly quickly but around 6:30pm it got quite busy as it took a while for us to flag down our server for the bill. We started with two drinks; a strawberry margarita and a mojito. The drinks weren't too strong; my friend said you could barely taste the alcohol in the mojito. The strawberry margarita was better than the mojito, but I think if I were to get a drink, I'd get something different. For food, we got tacos (barbacoa, crispy pork belly, and fish), papas bravas, and chicken tinga taquitos. I thought the tacos were on the pricier end since they were a bit smaller than a typical taco. I enjoyed the barbacoa and fish tacos but the meat of the crispy pork belly taco was tough and dry. My favorite was the papas bravas since the potatoes were crispy yet fluffy inside. The Roasted Garlic Aioli drizzled on top paired fantastically with the seasoned potatoes. Overall, Pearl & Lime is a cute local restaurant in Quincy Center to catch up with friends or have a small gathering! Tacos were meh - they were filled with chicken, shrimp, etc. but all I could taste was the tortilla. The taste of the tortilla was totally overpowering. Very small portions for all the different food items - the tacos are on the smaller side which I knew going in, but everything else (chips and guac, quesadilla) were also incredibly small. The hostess was pretty rude- empty restaurant but made a fuss about sitting us at a booth. Our server was not great either. Even though this is a newer restaurant to the Quincy area, inside it felt a bit run down. I personally would not recommend anyone visiting. read more

Was looking for a taco spot that was close to Quincy because my bf and I didn't want to drive. This place had pretty good reviews but sadly I would not go back or recommend. Prices are a bit steep because from pictures I know the portions were very small, much like tapas. First, we came super early like 6pm so there were plenty of seats open and they sat us right next to an existing table which doesn't make sense. Anyway overlooked it, ordered a few items knowing the bill was going to be pricey, with no intention of ordering alcohol. Their St Louis ribs to start and they were not good. All it was was a lime flavor that was so acidic and watery at the same time. Wet sauce which St Louis is known for dry rub. It was however super tender For the rest, we ordered an order of Birria tacos, 2 carnitas, 2 carne, and 1 shrimp. The corn tortillas were honestly stale and didn't look like regular corn tortillas. The shrimp in the tacos were so small and fried which disappointed cause I couldn't taste them at all besides batter. The carnitas were dry but ok. And the birria like I expected were small like normal size tacos but not how they usually are when you get 2 pieces. Plus the dipping broth provided was super watery and tasted water down The birria also took 15 after the rest of our tacos arrived and I had to wave down our waiter to ask where it was. We probably come here at least once a month, if not more, and this past time we dined here was one of our best experiences. We sat at the bar and ordered a few cocktails; my husband had the El Guapo (rum drink) which was quite delicious and refreshing. I ordered a Maximilian Affair (mezcal drink), one of my favorites, and always made to perfection. For starters, we shared the Queso dip with chips, which was excellent. We then ordered the Al Pastor Quesadilla's, Popcorn Chicken, and a Carne Asada taco. Everything came out nice and hot, flavorful, and delish. Came here on a Friday at around 6 pm. We didn't have to wait for a seat, but it did get busy very soon after. For drinks we got a mojito and strawberry margarita. The margarita was alright, not that sweet. The mojito was watered down and bitter. For tacos we ordered barbacoa, crispy pork belly, and fish with papas bravas and taquitos on the side. The tacos were on the smaller side, but they were good. I would not recommend the crispy pork belly taco though, the meat was rough and dry. Overall, the other food was great. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and wasn't too loud despite the crowd. Good place to catch up with friends or go on a date. I was very disappointed by my visit here and am very confused by the 4 stars. The drinks were good, which was the only saving grace. Also the restaurant is nicely decorated with a nice vibe and our server was friendly. I ordered the fish tacos which had zero flavor on the actual fish. Sometimes I can accept this if the sauce carries the tacos, but this was not the case here. I also ordered the sweet potato empanadas with mole. I was excited for these but they literally just threw sweet potato in an empanada wrapper with no effort.. the mole sauce was also not my favorite. Lastly the broccolini was desperately missing salt. Wanted to check this place out since moving to Quincy over a year ago. Finally had an excuse to stop in (but if we are being honest, why do I need excuses to try new [to me] restaurants? In short: excellent food, excellent service, cool vibe, but small portions mean unless a taco barely three times the size of a Costco sample will satisfy you, prepare to drop some dollars. I was able to try: - Ponche De Dragon (drink) - Aunt Dotty Oyster (1) - Mere Point Oyster (1) - Papas con Azafran y Bonemarrow Pastelillo (special) - Pork Belly Taco - Carne Asada Taco - Birria Taco (Lamb) - Homemade hot sauce Now, before you accuse me of being a glutton - two things... 1. The portions here are quite small 2. I can eat like a vacuum cleaner! Ponche De Dragon = If you like your drinks more spirit forwards, this is probably not for you. This drink was a little on the sweeter side, but not overwhelmingly so. It had a tiny bit of spiciness at the back of the throat, but nothing that should scare you away, even if you don't have my heat tolerance. My only critique is, while not all drinks are spirit forward, I like to know a drink contains at least some booze, and I hard a hard time picking up on any alcohol within. Oysters = These were of a good size, had a good flavor, and no shell fragments. Only thing here is that it would be wise to wait for when they are half-price, because oysters can quite literally be scarfed down in five seconds, Pastelillo = Not quite what I was expecting. Neither the saffron nor the bone marrow made a noticeable appearance. It was a good pastelillo, but it felt like a potato pastelillo, not the fancy thing the name would seem to suggest. The Special Sauce was interesting, and a little on the sweeter side. Nothing wrong with that per se, but for me personally, a savory sauce (like a queso) would have been preferred. Pork Belly Taco = This was absolutely delectable! It hit absolutely all the right notes in terms of balance in flavors and textures! There was freshness, creaminess, savoriness, and the pork belly was noticeable. While I would have liked a little bit more, I am cautious about suggesting something which may throw off the balance of a taco I would have happily ordered 4 more of. It wasn't quite as tender as the kind found in bao, but still very tender! Carne Asada Taco = Similar to the Pork Belly Taco, all the flavors were on point. The difference here is that there was a more generous helping of protein. And that protein - by goodness! Carne Asada I've had before has been either too tough, or swimming in water/juice... this was tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I can safely say it is the first carne asada I thoroughly enjoyed. These two tacos stayed together while eating quite well without becoming an impromptu taco salad after a couple bites. Then again, these were quite small - think about 3/4 the size of what a regular taco might be, give or take. Those couple of bites is all it takes before it is no more. Birria Taco (ordered with lamb) = This was something else. The whole tortilla was covered with a delicious protein. I knew this would be delicious when I smelled the freshly cooked lamb as the dish was brought to my plate. This one is larger than a regular taco, and more protein forward. At the same time, it also manages to retain that critical balance! The protein itself was also wicked tender and flavorful. I am not quite sure about the dipping sauce though, it seemed similar to the taco filling and did not really add any additional dimensions of flavor. Their homemade hot sauce is very nice! It had a nice level of heat (and this is from someone with high heat tolerance). If you aren't like me, use it carefully! Unfortunately, the bottle isn't conducive to drops, so be careful before you accidentally make yourself into a fire-breathing dragon whose treasure is the food before it. The service is excellent! Very friendly, knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast! The location had a pretty cool vibe too! Then there's the question of value - I'd say it was good, but not great. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent, certainly. Still, I am finding it hard to justify $5 for a taco seemingly not larger than a CD. read more

Parking is tricky and not great. However, there's an inexpensive $1/hr parking garage within a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. Very nice ambiance. It felt intimate and modern, yet still had a lot of character. The sangria was good and the guac and salsa too. The empeñadas were piping hot which was great. I'd much rather food be too hot than not hot enough! They have happy hour some days which goes until 6pm. The service was nice, but despite the place not being too crowded, the server took a very long time to return to the table after we finished our meal and then again after we asked for the check. A most well-deserved 5 rating! While traveling on business, meals can be a little hit or miss, but I found a gem in Pearl & Lime. The ambiance is super cool; I especially loved the fun tiki inspired barware. I sat at the bar; bonus points for the purse hooks The bartender was attentive, had a great personality, and he effortlessly whipped up some pretty tempting cocktails (dry January challenge prevented me from partaking, but appealing nonetheless). I ordered the Chicken Tinga Taquitos and the Camarones Taco. The star of the show was the taco - a hearty corn tortilla with the perfect crisp to it (had to be made in house!) a good portion of crispy fried shrimp, not greasy at all, with a pineapple salsa. The heat & sweet was so fresh and delicious. The Taquitos were also enjoyable: perfect portion, crisp, and flavor. Lastly, I appreciate their investment in newer technology which meant that leaving my wallet at the hotel did not relegate me to washing dishes in for my meal. Thank goodness for ApplePay!!
