    Fried avocado and birria tacos
    Ben L.

Date night! A hidden gem on the South Shore with Latin twist, Casa Verde-Latin Kitchen. Nice menu. Quaint, clean, comfortable seating with a great bar and nicely decorated. Not too loud. Plenty of parking on the street and in the back of the restaurant. Seated and greeted by Cait K.who was excellent. Friendly, polite, attentive, courteous and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious. Prepared perfectly. Ordered the guacamole with regular and plantain chips, chicharron (so good) for appetizers. It being "Taco Tuesday" we ordered the fish taco, birria taco, fried avocado taco, carne asada taco along with the rice and beans. So good! And generous portions. For dessert, the flan with toasted coconut and brown sugar pineapple. 5 star! absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! Will definitely return to try the other items on the menu.

The back parking lot (you will be doing a lot of walking to get there)

Just so good. Had a dozen oysters on the half, ice cold and delicious. Sure, they could have been bigger, but they really sufficed. Shrimp cocktail, four jumbo monsters chilled to perfection. The sauce was nice and spicy too! I had the lobster stew, another great dish. Creamy, home made, lots of lobster in it too! She has the Cobb Salad with Lobster and I the traditional New England Lobster Roll - that is, cold. Wonderful service, friendly, and full of great recommendations. Clean facility. We sat under the shade on the deck on the harbor. Tide was coming in, so we had the great salt-air smell, and just watching the boat traffic roll in and head out. No negatives whatsoever.

We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! They do get busy, and if you are arriving with a large party, plan on reservations. They do have a separate bar area and a patio.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

I had the blackened shrimp wrap which was out of this world.. the seasoning on the shrimp was so tasty and the best part is that it was full right to the bottom of the wrap as opposed to other places I've had wraps. The fries were nice, hot and crunchy when served and very tasty. He had the steak bomb that was just as good. They use sweet yellow peppers instead of green which made the sandwich even better.. we sat at the bar with Rich the bartender who was very nice to chat with and on his game. All in all I have to say it was a perfect lunch and will definitely be back. Thank you to the entire staff for a job well done!
