Very expensive, especially for the portions they give you. Food was good, but portions are nothing to brag about.

The server working the grill area was quick to bring over a huge selection of grilled meats - there were tons to choose from and each had delicious seasonings. The food just kept coming and we were so stuffed! The buffet of sides and salads was delicious, and dinner ended with grilled pineapple which is always one of my favorites. This is such a fun spot for a night out. We can't wait to come back with friends!

They have the option of all you can eat and they come around and offer all different meats cooked and cut fresh. We dined here a couple more times and loved it so much we had a friends anniversary dinner there a couple years later. Drinks were great and food was also good. It felt intimate and unique. We recently went again after a couple years and they expanded the restaurant, with a lot more seats. Unfortunately, they no longer offer alcohol (or at least not at the moment). This time we both just order a meal and not the all you can eat, and the food was... ok. I'm hoping it was just a one off and that they bounce back to the amazingness from before (really, we would rave about this place to people!) One plus is they have a buffet you can make a to go plate and pick your meat. While it is pricey per pound, it's better than other take out places. The sides change everyday, so it's always a surprise of what they will have. All that to say, we are up in the air about this place.. we are currently not recommending you run there, but we hope they get back to what we loved before, and then it would be worth a try.

They have a great 3 course pasta meal deal that I got last time but I remember seeing the Pork Milanese on another table and I knew I had to get that this time. We started our meal with fried brussels sprouts that came with large chunks of pancetta and a apple cider reduction. All the flavors worked well to balance each other out, we attempted to recreate this delicious combo several days later at home. Next came the Verdi insalata, which was an arugula and watercress salad with apple, pistachio and balsamic, a refreshing followup to the brussels sprouts. Next came the massive pork milanese, it's a show stopper. The breading is impossibly crunchy and not oily at all, while the pork was juicy and flavorful. There was a citrusy fennel salad on top and that paired really well with the fried pork. Every course of our meal exceeded our expectations and I am excited to come back next time to see what's new on the menu.

We went for a date night and were decently surprised considering we live down the street and had no expectations knowing it's tough to find a modern spot in this neck of the woods. Service was decent as well, I don't recall any issues. I wouldn't recommend this to larger crowds as it's not the biggest restaurant or families with young children. Better vibe for a girls night out or date night.

Apps were overcooked chicken fingers ...a very good chicken quesadilla and some pita bread with a blah feta cheese dip. Very good selection of beers on a side note. I got the bayou chicken with pasta. A very tasty creamy dish with a hint of heat. One other dish was a bolognese that I'm told is very good. Rumor at bar was that the burgers were the best around. I did see a flatbread pizza that looked ok. Also the chips and salsa has the thin chips ...not sure if they are heated though. Overall a decent atmosphere and pub food.

I was often confused about whether it was good or not. Drinks way overly iced, and not much drink. I came here with a friend, for my birthday. I don't know how to feel about it. Yeah, it's fancy, but is that what the price is for? If I was electing to spend my own money, I probably wouldn't come here, because the cost, price, and service was just not the value I'd have thought. The food and drinks, altho' pretty, were just OK. The service was mixed. Sometimes good, then suddenly nothing. We were so confused. It's like an emphasis on "the first impression" then slack off. But, "the first impression" comes off 1 way, then after the order is made, it's just not the same as when you just walked in. My friend got so perturbed, because she suffers from pain in her body, she had to get up, shake it off, then come back to sit down, 20 min later, and the server still hadn't returned, and she wanted the stuff she ordered & requested, which was stuff like condiments, eating utensils, napkins, and now just water, because drinks were really pricey, and still thirsty, (you know, the basis of stuff you're supposed to have, but were also requested multiple times, and assured to "be right back" then upon return still didn't do those basic things even with reminders & requests) and just getting antsy to just leave, but couldn't even do that, because she's just off somewhere else, do who knows what??? She didn't seem to be ill, didn't seem to be overworked or stressed, and I'm just TRYING to understand what's going on. I'm pretty lenient, but it just got really weird. I don't care to ever return. I'm sorry. I dislike writing bad reviews. I also don't like being harsh to workers, staff, employees, because I've worked service. I've also worked management, supervision, and owned businesses, and even worked customer service. For what my friend paid for of her own money, at my behest, I could've just waited for the following day and gone to "5 Guys" burgers, or the Brazilian joint down the street (which also has inflated prices), bought their expensive burgers, got a few drinks at the liquor store, and some sodas, been full, satisfied, satiated, and both myself and my friend could give each other authentic service to each other.

It was a small gathering (just 4 of us) and this seemed like a fun thing to do. We've been to SOT a few times and it's always been great. I checked the website to see if there was a Thanksgiving menu, and there wasn't. This suited us just fine because we love the menu. Our out-of-town guest brought desserts, so the plan was to have dinner at SOT and dessert at home. Imagine our shock to arrive and find an unappetizing and expensive prix fixe Thanksgiving menu. I had the Caesar salad which was utter slop. It was like a packaged Dole salad, but far worse because there was too much dressing and too much cheese. Upon further reflection, I'm not sure this *wasn't* a bagged salad that someone tried to spruce up with more dressing and cheese. Blech. Two of us went against our better judgement and got the $72 (!) Thanksgiving entree and it was slop too: Slices of dry turkey piled atop gross stuffing with a pile of squash on one side and a scoop of mashed potatoes on the other, all slathered in nasty brown gravy. The cranberry sauce was the only good thing and it helped ameliorate the shabbiness, but there wasn't enough of it to save this unappealing orgy of brown food. It was sad that there was no vegetable in this entree, but I guess vegetables would have been too difficult to pull off for the crowds they had. Two of us got the haddock and said the corn chowder with bacon was much too salty. Dessert was nothing special. Before being seated, there was the chaos we encountered at the front of the house. The restaurant was clearly overbooked. We got there at 5:05 for our 5:15 reservation to find the area from the bar to the front door packed with people waiting to be seated. A senior citizen was sitting sadly on a chair by the front door, getting blasts of cold air every time the door opened. When she and her party were seated I had my mother (80 years old) sit on the lone chair. People just kept piling in... it was loud, stressful, and dangerous. KUDOS TO THE STAFF FOR ENDURING THIS LEVEL OF CHAOS WITH PATIENCE AND GRACE! The second star is for them. I have to ask: Did someone at SOT decide to foist a Thanksgiving menu upon everyone at the last minute? If I'd seen that menu I wouldn't have made a reservation. I've always liked SOT but I'm not sure we'll ever go back. We had fun together because the atmosphere there is always festive, but we truly felt insulted by that dinner, and bamboozled by having to order from a menu we didn't expect. Our dinner came up to $316, $386 with tip. If the food had been spectacular we wouldn't have minded, but this was shameful. The owners will have made a killing yesterday, but this experience killed our Thanksgiving. NO THANKS AND NEVER AGAIN.

I would agree with previous reviewers that chips ate really good but that's where my compliments end. Nachos had tons of crema but not a lot of melted cheese along with some pieces of hard and tasteless hard beans and pico in some places. I went with one of the specials - butternut squash and black beans quesadilla. I asked for the sauce on the side. When it arrived, it looked like 4 pieces of thin tortillas so I opened to see what was inside and it had very little inside. The butternut squash was drowned in oil and the beans were again hard and tasteless. There wasn't a lot of cheese or any other fillings you would expect from a quesadillas. Service was good and our server checked with us and refilled our drinks. Place has a bar area that was somewhat empty for a Friday night and they had a game playing on the big screen tv. Bathroom seemed somewhat messy.
