During our visit, I witnessed the owner loudly reprimanding children and their parents for typical child behavior. Furthermore, the owner's aggressive demeanor was alarming. He followed me outside, questioning where I worked and suggesting that I should endure the same treatment. This incident escalated to the point where he demanded $400 for wall damages that were nonexistent, as there was no visible marker on the walls -DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DRY ERASE MARKERS. or because the child wrote her name so small that even if it was permanent marker, you would never be able to see it, but they were doing something wrong and we did have a conversation with them. After they stopped crying because you screamed in their faces While I understand that children should not write on walls ( even though looks like you can and has markers on them), the response from the owner was excessive and disproportionate. I believe that a more professional approach, such as a polite reminder about the rules, would have sufficed. The Fermentary carries other local breweries' beer - Widowmaker, Vitamin Sea, Stellwagen, etc. They also carry all natural wines and have some snacks to munch on (the pretzel and queso are really good!). They made some nice upgrades. It seems brighter and maybe more seating. Only "negatives" we've seen are that they are very heavy on IPAs (mostly double and triples, the couple times we've been), which isn't too bad for us, because we really only drink IPAs, but if you're looking for a lager or an ale, your options might be limited. Also, they don't have cable, so if it's a local game you're trying to catch, you'll be out of luck. Notice they've had some events held there - seems like it would be a great spot for that (nice open space with fireplace and tv). This will definitely be our go-to for a laid back afternoon/early evening, quick drink or two. Definitely check it out!

It was so excessive and so over the top that we were speechless. His attitude did not match anything happening in that building. We all have bad days but if you want people to come into your establishment throwing forks down like a toddler is not the way to get repeat business. Hands down one of the shittiest experiences I've had in a long while. If you are looking for any sense of customer service - go somewhere else.
