So great to have The Point back operating as the warmer weather is slated to arrive! We've missed this wonderful family run seasonal restaurant. First time we've made it to opening day (April 1st) and it did not disappoint. They've added a beautiful and innovative pergola style dining area just outside the doorway. The area is heated, has louvered roof slats that can close during inclement weather, and has LED lighting that can be adjusted (color and light level). A wonderful addition and certainly welcome during those sporadic times when showers pass through. Food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was attentive and took great care of everyone. So nice to see so many familiar faces (staff and guests). Looking forward to the 2026 season. read more

The Point is always a great take. If you are looking for delicious seafood or any food in general you need to visit this restaurant. They have made a new outside area that is beautifully done and has made the restaurant even more desirable because you are basically sitting in the marina with the ocean at your side! We had a yummy lunch. Tara took good care of us because she is a seasoned server for sure and always on her game. I actually request her for that reason. This is one of our favorite summer spots. You can sit outside on the patio, on the upper deck or inside with AC. It overlooks the Marina. Always get a cold lobster roll & it's a great size. The fries are really good & crispy here. We also got chicken tenders for an app that I don't have a picture of. The Bloody Mary is great & it comes with a shrimp on it! We got seated quickly and service was fast despite us going on a 100 degree day. We will be back! read more

Great Water Front Friendly Restaurant. The seafood was fresh and so good. Everyone needs to start with the calamari mouth watering good. I had the fried clams, they were so good, my wife had a lobster roll and Just as good. The Bloody Mary's are the best!! House made recipe with shrimp and bacon if you choose too, old bay rim. Stopped by after going to the beach this past summer. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Place was hopping when we stopped by but didn't have to wait long to get a table for four. We sat outside in the shade over looking the harbor and harbor masters building. We started with a bowl of clam chowder made with fresh clams and chock full of potatoes and a broth that was neither too thick not too thin. Delicious flavor! What a perfect spot for some summer eats. Apre golf. Great views. Clean, Quaint, good menu, seating indoors and outdoors. We chose to sit outdoor on the second floor overlooking the marina. Hostess and wait staff are awesome, friendly, professional and polite. Our waitress Madison is the best. Attentive excellent above and beyond. The food was also excellent. Cooked to perfection and delicious. We ordered the Jenna salad with lobster, Caesar salad with lobster, onion rings and the fish sandwich. Tasty and delish. Highly recommend. It was a beach day on a holiday weekend and we decided to get lunch first. We wanted a lobster roll (standard and good with plenty of meat), a drink (could use a local on the beer list), and outside seating for our little dog. The Point hit every button. A local watering hole were my bartender at the bar was more interested in her meal than any of the customers. I showed up at 3:00 on a Friday and you can be darn sure I was not a regular. Ignored for 10 minutes while others after me were greater by name and the drinks poured. I had a small pour of soli on the rocks a d a decent fish taco. All the time the bartender was eating her meal and then disappeared for a while. When she came back I guess one of the staff took her mostly eaten lunch and whoa you would think a murder happened. Just didn't make me feel welcomed and not great customer service. Too many good places in the area to go back. read more

My husband and I loved our first experience here! The location at the marina couldn't be better. Fried seafood was practically screaming my name and this place delivered. I love how the menu has tons of mix & match options. On this particular day I was craving the fried clams and fried haddock. It was served with BOTH onion rings and french fries (yay!) and a great coleslaw. The fish was beautifully fried. The portion size was great - large enough to feel like you're getting your money's worth but not too large that it's overwhelming (like sometimes a seafood platter can be). My husband saw someone at another table get the fish tacos with pineapple salsa and he said they looked so good that he had to order them too! He really enjoyed them and was glad he got them. I've been to the point a couple times, and had a great experience each time. Right by the marina, the views and food don't disappoint! This last time I went, I got the lobster roll and two of their drinks- an ocean breeze (that name might be wrong but it had ocean in it lol) and a raspberry lime Ricky. I brought my husband here after a trip to the Marshfield fair on his birthday. Fair food was just not an option for us, it would not fix our seafood craving. We were early enough to have our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for an intimate seat on the far end of the rooftop outdoor seating. I ordered a bloody Mary, which was perfectly seasoned and spicy. My husband had plenty of beer options. I ordered a Caesar salad topped with lobster, both were tasty. My husband ordered the whole belly clams (ick if you ask me) but he said they were crispy and tasty but the batter could use a bit more flavor. I would come back if I were in the area again! Terrible restaurant. This place should have their whole front staff changed. We called and they said they do not take reservations but only for large parties. We are a large party so they gave us a reservation for 10 people at 7 INSIDE. We confirmed the reservation and headed to the restaurant. At 6:45 (we are already arrived) they call us and say they cannot seat us inside anymore mind you there is basically a hurricane outside. I speak to the hostesses who say they were not expecting us to actually show up. It's almost as though we made a reservation? They said we could sit outside (again raining) because they gave away all the tables inside. Would not recommend. read more

Our waitress was very helpful, pleasant and attentive. There is patio seating and an upper deck as well as ground level indoor seating. If you want to be on the upper deck you need to be able to climb a full set of stairs and you should make reservations a day or more in advance. read more

So glad we decided to try this spot out in our way home from Saquish beach! Food and service were great. Friendly staff. The scallops wrapped in bacon came out piping hot and were perfectly cooked. 10/10 recommend this app! We also enjoyed our lunch entrees: mixed greens salad with lobster and a turkey BLT. To start off - beautiful location, drinks were simple and strong, has so much potential! Unfortunately our experience was tainted by waiting 1 hour for our food to come out. Instead of apologizing, our waitress let us know that this is because we had ordered steak tips (cooked medium) and that these "take longer" to cook which is simply untrue. The food was cold when it hit the table but at this point we were so hungry that we just ate it. A genuine apology, offer to comp something on our bill would have remedied the situation but instead our waitress placed the blame on us. Other tables around us also appeared frustrated with the wait for food as well. Hoping we hit it on an off day - will definitely return for a drink but would caution anyone on eating there on a busy night. read more

My friends and I stopped here after going to Duxbury beach. We sat on the rooftop. It was very hot out but the roof deck was breezy. Unfortunately, it was too breezy that the staff had to close our umbrella since they had one fly into the parking lot below. Just wear sunscreen and you should be okay! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. For food, I ordered the lobster roll with Cole slaw. My boyfriend got the grilled cheese and chicken Caesar wrap. He is allergic to shellfish and doesn't like fish so he opted for those. My friends got the bacon wrapped scallops, clam basket, haddock/clam plate and the special which was haddock fish tacos. My friend added the avocado and the pineapple salsa on the tacos as well with broccoli on the side. Overall, the food was good. It took about 25 minute wait - not too bad with the crowd there. My lobster roll was STUFFED. I wish the lobster meat was sweeter or was tossed in some light mayo but with the amount of lobster on the roll, some salt, pepper and lemon did the trick. The Cole slaw was good. Crunchy, not too creamy. My friends enjoyed their meals as well and said it was well priced for the amount of food and for the location. I love the location and I love that they have outside seating and I was super excited to try it. We sat outside, I had a wine (ok I ended up having 2 glasses of wine) but when I noticed they were $9 each....ouch. That's a normal price for a semi upscale place but not for this kind of place, I feel it's over priced. I got the Fish Reuben which was ok. It definitely needed more flavor. My husband got fish and chips which again was just ok. All's this place needs is a little bit more seasoning to their food. I will definitely go back as I enjoyed sitting outside I will try another dish and I'll ask for salt to enhance the flavor if needed! Hey this place is fairly new so I'll definitely give it another try and YES I will get a glass of wine or two! I'm a two glass kind of girl. Maybe they offer a house version of wine for $6. Always happy to be able to eat at The Point when we're visiting family in Marshfield!! We were a large group of 9 and knew we would have a wait on a Saturday early evening but staff and visitors alike were friendly and polite. Meals arrived fresh and hot and everyone enjoyed what they ordered! Quahogs, clam chowder, rings, chicken tender meals, fried scallops, haddock special, you name it we had it and was delicious!
