OMG if your looking for a lobster role I just had the best I've ever had ($25). Locals are ecstatic for the reopening of Atlantica with good reason. Completely content ;) Cheers, Rick

Okay, where do we start... The food is awesome, lobster Roll Is giant, tons of lobster and NOT saturated in mayo. The fried Clams... the batter is light and the clams are sweet. The clam chowder is full of clams and hot. If you are looking for an awesome atmosphere with good food , look no further. Chef Arthur is the best. Hospitable, he takes great pride in his food.

Fish and chips. It comes with delicious house made tartar sauce. We ate the entire cup of that condiment!

We have been coming to Olde Salt House for years. It is a pleasant tavern with an outdoor dining spot next door to Atlantica with a view of Cohasset Cove. Under new ownership, it reopened this summer with improvement in both food and service. The deck along the water is currently closed and needs repair so the tables have been moved to the paved area outside the tavern. On nice days the seating outside fills up soon after opening. Service was professional and efficient. The food is delicious and we enjoyed the fried seafood (fresh, perfectly cooked) and lobster rolls (sweet, lightly dressed). The simple cocktails we ordered were well balanced. Decent wines by the glass. Reasonable selection of craft beers though I ordered a Corona because I'm susceptible to its advertising. If the town allows it I would love a new deck with outdoor bar and a dock to park my friend's boat!

I was not a fan of some staff members. My paratransit dropped me off less than five minutes before opening and a busboy, with a bit more attitude than I would have liked, said I couldn't be seated yet. I said I'd wait by the hostess station. He looked less than happy but just walked away. Then a waitress came over, seeing the handicapped accessible van, and was willing to seat me seeing it was now about 2 minutes before opening. Another waitress came over and said I couldn't be seated because they turned others away. When I told her it was 2-3 minutes before opening, she looked defeated. Considering there was less than a handful of people on the waiting list and maybe 20 tables, seating me two minutes early was obviously not an issue. No other customers complained. My ride home was more than a half hour late. The same waitress insisted I call again to find out where they were. I took it, according to her tone, that she wanted me out. But the waitress that sat me, Karen, and my waiter/bartender Warren, were great. I found my new favorite place for fried clams. The clam chowder tasted very good, a bit thin though, but very tasty. I was very cold and wanted something hot to warm me up. Maybe because it was so early the soup hadn't had time to heat up but I'd order it again. The only other issue I had was they kept the front door open, contributing to my being cold (staff kept saying they were cold too) and one fly kept flying around me and my food. When I was waiting for my ride home, I saw there were maybe ten swarming around the ceiling. And I also saw at least three staff members in the kitchen working with food or plates, utensils, etc. who were not wearing masks. Despite what another customer (Mark, you know who you are!) told me about people in the back can get away without a mask, as someone who is in multiple risk groups for any of a variety of respiratory issues, I was not happy that someone could cough or sneeze when preparing my food or cleaning utensils I might use and then risk my health

Went to the salt house yesterday for lunch. They had quite the crowd outdoors. We checked in with the hostess and was promptly seated. We ordered the calamari to start. It was perfectly crispy with fried calamari and pepper pieces. I ordered the lobster roll for my main meal. It was a cold roll vs. being warm with butter. It was very filling. Great service and attentive staff.

After 4 months of quarantine, Olde Salt House finally open under new management with COVID-19 guidelines and outdoor seating. Great to be out on and nice picture perfect summer evening. Waited about 40 minutes for seating and was worth it. Friendly masked service from the hostess to waitresses to bus help and manager. We ordered the Mongolian chicken for starters. the lobster roll and jambalaya for entrees and finished off with the strawberry shortcake and chocolate mousse. All the dishes were nice proportions and delicious. Fairly priced. Can't beat the view of the sunset on Cohasset Harbor. Definitely return soon to try the other items on the menu.

Great little spot for fresh sushi and more -- not "salty" at all!…read more I'm happy to say that Salty Days is one of the good speciality seafood places that you could count on one hand in the South Shore. The sushi rolls are hearty and could make a meal in and of itself. Fish was fresh, but I found the flavors in the rolls a bit muddled and on the sweeter side. We had honey and mango in our rolls that accounted for the sweetness, but I would have appreciated some acid or perhaps more salt (ironically) to cut it. I also sampled a poke bowl. Tuna was tasty and appreciated the texture of the crunchy bits. Service was friendly -- although they taunted us a bit as the TV on the wall had a live stream of a bar in St. John's. Want to know what that's about. Came once before early on and service and portions felt a bit off -- no longer -- they are learning and appear to be hitting their stride. On a side note, if you are like me, you're a bit confused why Greater Boston has nice seaside towns but don't lean enough into the ocean's flavor. A great omikase and sake is still not happening outside of Boston, unfortunately (if I'm wrong, tell me where).

The space is big, so they were able to seat us right away with a good view too. Service overall was friendly. We ordered a lobster roll and some seafood. The portion sizes, especially the sides, were very generous. The fries were better than I expected (nice and crispy, not dry). The seafood tasted fresh. My favorite was the salt-pepper shrimp appetizer. I might not get the lobster roll again, because the meat was quite tough. Other than that, it was an excellent last stop of our trip :)

Knowing me I had to call to make sure that the seafood was wild caught and it was not farm raised. The hostess told me everything was fresh minus the salmon that was only farm raised. The wait was not that bad at all - they said a hour in a half but it was definitely shorter then that since a lot of other individuals have left because of the long wait. We probably only waited for about 20 - 30 min. Everything was delicious here from the raw seafood , calmaria and for my dinner entree I got the Schrood which was the wild caught cod , with mashed potatoes and coleslaw it was very very delicious. We also saw a celebrity at the restaurant as well which was very cool. Everyone was very nice there including the staff. I highly recommend going there.

We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,
