It would be nice to be able to order clams, scallops & shrimp with a combination plate instead of separate dinner plates. We wanted scallops, shrimp and clam strips and had to order three different plates to get this combo, which all came with fries and slaw, three plates for 2 people. I also ordered a margarita, it was very good, served in a plastic cup (no problem), but it was over $17, that was a big surprise. It was a decent lunch but not a good value. While the ambiance is lovely and the food delicious, they've raised their prices about 30-50% on all items from last year's menu on their website to the 2025 prices. We ordered calamari, scallops, cheese flatbread, pepperoni flatbread and two gatorades. Last year (and if you look at the menu on the website) that would have been $81 with tax. Now it's $109. The still waters of a Mansfield harborside will attract approximately 36,000 gnats, no-see-ums and skeeters, which is why you'll see a few cans of Deep Woods OFF scattered around the deck tables. If it was on location alone this is place gets all 5 stars. The location on a nice day is beautiful. There is a bar here as well and the reggae music hits the spot as well. I came for the lobster roll and it underwhelmed. It was small and average tasting at best. Not enough lobster for $20. Although the service was slow the service was very nice. My son loved the fried haddock and the baked shrimp was very good. Worth a try but do not expect much from the food as the view will make everything worth it. read more

Lobster roll sucked. I called on the phone and they said it was 17 bucks and when I get there it's 20 bucks. I guess I should have believed the previous reviews when they said it was full of celery and tasteless. Other than that everything was awesome. Great view but that's where "great" ends. Waited almost 2 hours for all of our meals to come out (5) one by one. The first meal came out 30 minutes before the second. The kids bringing the food out couldn't be nicer but the manager couldn't care less. After speaking with him waiting over an hour for meals one by one, he just looked at me. This place just gets better with every passing year ! Erich and his staff have turned an old boat marina into a destination eat/drink/dine locale. All of the staff is local and very helpful and polite. The food is great. Erich has now begun a fine dining option as well. If you want a family friendly, casual, fun place to mix and mingle then this place can't be beat! Right on the North River, on the Marshfield side on Route 3A. The barstaff and dockhands are always very attentive and friendly. Think the Beachcomber in Wellfleet on the Cape, but on a River with unbelievable sunset views and activity one would expect to find on a working marina with dock access to a clam shack. This is the place that Scituate has been waiting for (I know it's in Marshfield, I just don't care). They have the delicious large belly clams that are so hard to find these days. The lobster rolls are great. I was very impressed at their ability to mix a decent (not sickeningly sweet) mojito. This is a classic example of a great local business with a great location going downhill and surviving on the location alone. We went today and all 4 meals were sub par. The lobster roll was understuffed and overpriced, the haddock, clam, and scallop plates were undercooked and also light portions. Fried seafood is not that hard, really. 2 years ago this was a terrific place for traditional summer fare. Today the food is uninspired and the service is poor. The view here is beautiful- no question about that. if I were going for just drinks and the view I would give this four stars. BUT-the staff is mostly young kids who do not have great customer service skills. The food is just OK. My husband and I both got lobster rolls the other night and his had about twice the amount of meat in it than mine did- they both cost the same though. The parking lot also seems to get really crowded and the confused kids running the parking lot kept telling people to leave their keys in the car- um, no thank you -I do not want to leave my keys in my car so just anybody can go in it. They don't have a valet service where the cars are locked yet they ask people to leave their keys behind so they can move it if they need. Just seemed a little disorganized. I've been here a bunch of times, and I'm usually happy with them, but they really screwed things up big time today. I have little confidence that their issues will get rectified under the current management. I'll pulled in around 1:00 and placed my order. The place was busy but not crazy busy. There wasn't even a line, so I felt good about getting my party's order relatively quickly. Fast forward to 45 minutes later and no food has come out. I'm a patient person, but 45 minutes is pushing it, so I go up and check. I tell the kid my order number and he goes up and checks. When he comes back, he says just a few more minutes. Ok, no problem. 15 minutes later, 1 out of the 5 orders comes out. I wait a little while longer (over an hour at this point), and then check again. An older guy with glasses checks on my order and assures me the food will be out soon. One hour and 15 minutes after we ordered, some more of our food comes out, but not all. Finally, after one and a half hours we are still missing one of our orders. I go to check and they haven't even started cooking the last one. Let this sink in, ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATER. Any place that cared about their reputation would have offered a gift certificate and been really apologetic. I totally get it when a place is busy and there is a wait, but this was just piss-poor management of the kitchen crew. Not the kids fault who work there, but someone needs to step up and make sure the kitchen runs well. This all sits inside a toasted split top bun with a light buttery crunch. A great balance of mayonnaise in the dressing and plenty of pepper for visual but not much on the taste side. We showed up on a beautiful evening around 7:30 PM. We were able to sit and get a table. The outside seating was nice. My wife went up to order food. Two whole belly clam plates, a scallop plate and a kids chicken strip meal. I was dispatched to go to the bar area and get a drink. There were lines at the food ordering area and the bar area. My wife wanted a Margarita. Unfortunately they did not have these. Strange for a full service bar. I bought two drinks and sat. Over the next ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES my two kids kept asking me where the food was. The bugs continued to worsen. At just prior to 9 PM I walked up to the kitchen to inquire about our food. I basically said that if the food would not be there very shortly I would have to ask for a refund and take my kids somewhere else. Instead of being apologetic, the manager looked my in the eyes and said "come on man can't you see that we are slammed?" I said that I can see that, but it does not help my 10 year old who is starving to which the manager replied, " would you ask for a refund at Bridgeway's if you had to wait". I replied simply, yes I would. Luckily the food came right out. Here is the food breakdown: Clam plates (5 out of 10 for flavor). Both my wife and daughter complained that the bellies seemed really "creamy". The portion size was small, but not egregious. The scallop plate was a 9 out of 10 for flavor, but a 2 out of 10 for portion. I only had 6 scallops (for $18). My son really liked the chicken tenders. We waited just about an hour for our meal. Two clam plates and one tuna roll, three cans of diet soda= $64.00 YIKEES! It wouldn't be so bed, but my tuna roll was probably the worst one I have ever had! Roll not toasted/grilled, and the tuna was big, water logged chunks! Tasted fishy. The clam plates only had 8 clams each. Tasted good, but slightly undercooked. Would not come here again. For good seafood, I would rather go to Haddads. The reagge band way too loud.
