I have lived in this area for a long time and I am not sure why it is I have never noticed this…read morewonderful seafood market in all these years. One of my commuter ferry friends told me about it when I told her I was looking to buy a bunch of lobsters for a party we were having. It is a small place in a Cohasset strip mall so it really is easy to miss. But I will miss it no longer when looking to buy seafood. The have a great fresh seafood selection and large lobster tanks containing lots of lobsters in varying sizes. The folks behind the counter are courteous, friendly and best of all, knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable....but of course seafood is expensive to begin with and mostly out of control of the shop owners. It is the service, the selection and the freshness that will keep me returning to this terrific, local shop.

I asked could I get 16/20's for wed. they said we are only cooking 8/12's.The shrimp we're in the case for $24.99 per pound. I was thinking about leaving and going to Fruit Center for 16/20. but figured I would shop local and ordered what I thought was going to be $50 when I picked them up today, they charged me $32.99 per pound, $65.98 saying that was the holiday price. talk about deception, I get aggressive holiday pricing, but....... .taking my business elsewhere

If we lived here, the folks at Oysterman would know our names…read more Our hosts are regulars here, so we visited the Oysterman several times during our visit. True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

Stopped for lunch because we wanted to go to Heritage days and could not find a parking space…read moreanywhere and it was in the 90's! It was a good choice for sure. He had a yummy cheeseburger and fries and I had a blackened chicken sandwich without the roll and fries. Both lunches were yummy. We did have the steamers as a starter. That was the only thing on their specials menu and they were very good.. a little pricy at $24 but they were worth it. We sat at the bar and Greta, the bartender, took very good care of us. As always she was on her game. We always sit upstairs because you can see all of Scituate Harbor and all the boats on moorings. Just a beautiful spot! Totally enjoyed ourselves.

Yamma Mamma! Mill Wharf is the best kept secret in Scituate!…read more Started off with a pound is steamers. Hot, large, clean and not sandy. Salt water to bathe them, butter to baptize them. Just so good. Had a dozen oysters on the half, ice cold and delicious. Sure, they could have been bigger, but they really sufficed. Shrimp cocktail, four jumbo monsters chilled to perfection. The sauce was nice and spicy too! I had the lobster stew, another great dish. Creamy, home made, lots of lobster in it too! She has the Cobb Salad with Lobster and I the traditional New England Lobster Roll - that is, cold. Wonderful service, friendly, and full of great recommendations. Clean facility. We sat under the shade on the deck on the harbor. Tide was coming in, so we had the great salt-air smell, and just watching the boat traffic roll in and head out. No negatives whatsoever.
