We stopped here for a warm lobster roll. It came with a generous amount of lobster meat, and the lobster itself was cooked well. My only complaint was that it didn't seem to be seasoned or buttered much, so the flavor was a little more plain than I was expecting. It also came with fries, which were crispy and tasty. This is a very small takeout-style spot with no tables or seating, so we took our food and ate in another nearby parking lot. Because of that, I'm assuming it isn't pet friendly, but I didn't specifically ask, so I can't say for certain. They do have free parking, which made picking up our order easy. Looking over the menu, they had a nice variety of seafood options at reasonable prices, and the building itself has a fun, casual coastal vibe. My roommate and I always love getting a lobster roll from here! It is a tight squeeze inside but they bring it out to your car so you dont have to wait inside. I'm not usually a big fan of Lobster Rolls because of the mayo, but saw reviews of their naked Lobster Roll. OMG, it was AMAZING! Chucks of huge Lobster....no scraps or leftover pieces that they couldn't use in something else. Just big pieces of tails and claws. Cooked to perfection. Lots of butter on the roll, but im sure you could ask for less. I also grabbed some chowda....delicious. everything was so good that I drove 30 minutes the next day to grab the bisque and a container of Lobster mac&cheese that my friend raved about. Where excited about steamers and baked stuffed lobsters for our New Years Eve dinner. It was a disaster! First off the steamers were very muddy. We only ate half of them. The baked stuffed Lobsters were even worse. We were told to cook 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees or until the stuffing was golden brown. We cooked it for 32 minutes because it really was not that golden brown. They never cut the tail open but instead just put the stuffing on the underbelly of the shell. My wife opened the tail and the liver/tomali just oozed out. The claws were not cracked. they were not fully cooked. Water poured out like you would expect from a boiled lobster. I refused to eat mine. She tried to rebake hers but threw most of hers out. Our Thermador oven works fine. We did a 13 Lb Leg of Lamb for 11 people Xmas Eve. It was perfect!! The oven showed it was set and working at 400 degrees. I suspect they killed the lobster by a quick boil which is not how to do baked stuffed. You kill it with a knife! They never cut the tail open or cracked the claws which messed up the cooking time I believe. They didn't/couldn't remove the intestine and liver because they never cut open the tail. So we spent $78.00 for a mostly uneatable NYE dinner. ( Not looking for a refund nor would except one.) Just wish our NYE could be returned to us! read more

Out... standing. Let's talk fish and chips. The fried haddock box is, oooooh, I'mma guess 2lb of food. A pair of massive filets, tenderflakywhite in a fry that's indicative of some sort of wizardry. Nothing oily, ashy or poorly cut - textbook fry shack material, and I polished off the oversized portion, not because I was that hungry, but because it was that incredible. Now, the fries. LobEx (as I call it, as of now) deploys a proprietary spud cut they call sidewinder fries. It's a twisty spiral of a thing, made to maximize surface area (the big plus of a waffle) while maintaining the pillowy, fluffy inside (a wedge benefit) for maximum scarfage. It's a work of art. Good slaw, tartar and a lemon wedge bring it all together. Definitely planning on the lobster roll soon, if I can tear myself away from the fish. Or maybe both. My go-to for takeout seafood since Covid. The food is good, prices comparable, and service is quick. My slight disappointment is the haddock sandwich, which has a much smaller piece of fish than before, and the sidewinder fries have become way too salty for my taste. I arrived at 5:35 and the kids behind the counter told me I could not get fish and chips because they are closed. If your business stops cooking food 30 minutes to close then post that on your door. We're big lobster roll fans and have been there many times, and again last night. Hands down the best lobster roll on the South Shore- or really anywhere. Their small roll at currently less than $20 and served on a toasted hotdog bun is what most people think of as a lobster roll. The large roll at just over $30 comes on a toasted brioche roll and is hugely stuffed with meat. My wife generally eats only half. Not so with me- I just can't stop eating it. The lobster, with a large amount of tail meat, is so fresh, so tender, and so flavorful with just the right touch of mayonnaise and nothing else to spoil it. You can also order with warmed butter instead of mayo. I taste no lemon added, just a wedge on the side. A generous portion of their home-made sidewinder fries are included- and truly all fries should be like these. I recommend adding a $2 container of the Lobster Express coleslaw- excellent and enough of two. Always worth the 20 min drive for us from Scituate. read more

They have really adapted well to the pandemic. They do curbside order and delivery (or you can go into the shop and browse). I dropped in to have a "naked" lobster roll. Super delicious. Freshly steamed lobster, without the mayo and other stuff, on a buttered roll. It was hot, juicy and very flavorful. Also delicious french fries. I haven't been here for some years.
