True burger and Nashville chicken sandwiches
Anthony N.

Ordered takeout and we got the true burger and Nashville chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich had great flavor, a nice spice but also not too spicy because of the avocado mash. The burger was nice and juicy but could have been seasoned or had a little more flavor. French fries and Greek salad for sides were really good!

We went for father's day. The service was great and the food was amazing. We got the calamari, steak, burger, pasta and fish n chips. The calamari was crispy, flavorful and yummy. It came with a spicy mayo dip. The burger was Juicy, tender and perfectly cooked. The fries were super crispy and tasty. Pasta was okay. It had a Mexican spin on it. The fish was super flaky. Overall, it was pricey but worth it. Would come back

Detroit style pizza, feat. whats left of our fried pickles!

Definitely hit the spot for a Wednesday date night. Came specifically for the Detroit style pizza and I was a fan. Brought a couple of slices home to my dad, and he didn't feel the same way. I liked it. Nice and cheesy, and a good helping of sauce to top it all off. To set your expectations: its on the thicker side, a bit chewy, and very satisfying. The restaurant itself is very much a place you could congregate in and watch a football game. It does have a bar. There's a towny vibe here. Service was well done, our waitress asked my girlfriend and I how our food was after it came out and was generally attentive to our needs. You can't expect a gourmet experience. It's a standard, but well done experience here. Prices are appropriate. I would come back. The shrimp risotto on the other end of the table looked amazing. Don't forget to order fried pickles! Yum!

Spent a nice Friday night date trying out True North Kitchen in Weymouth and overall it was a good experience the waitress Ashley was amazing! She was down to earth and overall really helpful! I started with the strip steak and it was good and cooked correctly! No real flavor profile but a decent cut of steak with some mashed potatoes and asparagus. We ended the night with the lava cake honestly I wouldn't recommend it to others. It had a very fake cake taste and was just drenched in chocolate. Maybe we just had a bad cake but it really wasn't good. Overall it's a nice spot in Weymouth with amazing service!

Went here for date night and thought it was great! Our server was fantastic and everything came out super quickly. We got the clam chowder, chips and onion dip, old bay wings, and their Detroit style pizza. I will say they don't make their own ranch which was kind of a let down as someone from the mid west- but other than that everything was good! The clam chowder was my favorite and the pizza was great! I would come back and try some of their entrees!

The food at this place never disappoints. Mongolian tenders are great by themselves or on their pizza. The other wild concoction's on their monthly pizza special always shock my taste buds. The true burger and true beer are a perfect combo. Staff is fun and bubbly and while I don't typically frequent the same restaurant because am always on the search for something new I check this menu and visit every month

Our waitress Jess had our drinks going in no time and as some of you know dining with kids can be challenging and sometimes getting food in front them asap is important. She had her order in and moving asap and that chicken tender meal out asap. Little yelper said they were the "best ever"... we questioned that and I tried a small piece and yep they were fresh and some of the best we can recall in recent dining experiences. There were several bowls of the clam chowder around the table and everyone was in full agreement that it was fantastic. Rich flavor and a healthy amount of clam and potatoes in the each spoonful. The fish and chips, it was a healthy portion of fish, fries and the coleslaw. Well done fish and the tartar sauce was fantastic. The chicken dinner was a heaping mound of chicken bacon and mashed potatoes with a side of corn. It tasted as great as it looked. A fish Reuben? Yep. Again another treat for the tastebuds just like the shrimp tacos. I don't do 5 often but this place definitely deserves it. Freshness, flavor and service all were spot on. Highly recommend visiting off the hook.

Bay Pointe removes both claws from the lobster which I appreciate and puts the whole claw meat under the stuffing mix. On this particular day only 1 claw was found. When I inquired about the missing claw I was told it was cut up in the stuffing mix. First of all, I have been to this restaurant many times ordering this same dish. So, tell me why 1 claw meat would be cut up and not the other one. Once the explanation was given it was utterly bull. I've never had the claw meat cut up and mixed in with the stuffing and as far as I'm concerned it should never be an option to do that. If so, I probably would not order this dish anymore. I want to see my claws in it's entirety and not cut up. Bottom line lobsters have 2 claws not 1. Both should have been in the dish and basically it wasn't. This will not deter me from coming to this establishment, but please think about your response before providing an answer that doesn't make any sense. Formerly known as The Townshend, this Quincy local restaurant is the best place for exceptional service, fantastic food, creative cocktails and am Ambiance that will sure impress any date. This might be my 3rd or 5th review because why not! When you find a place that you love you brag about it. For starters we shared their fried pickles with their homemade ranch dressing. We also love their stuffed dates. For entrees, I had their Salmon which is always cooked to perfection. My husband's had their Steak Frites which he enjoyed very much. Dessert is always a tough choice since all of them are excellent but this time we went with their brownie sundae. After plenty of glasses of wine and some dirty martinis let's just say we didn't want to leave but it was getting late. If you have never been to Dotty's or their other restaurants I highly recommend checking them out! Cheers

Met up with some good friends in Quincy and we're looking for a place to eat. Conveniently located by the Quincy Center stop, this place was great! We were seated quickly without a reservation (though clearly it can get popular, we showed up at 5:30 and by 6 the place was full of reserved parties!) and our server was very helpful. We got the fried calamari and the steak tartare as starters. While the calamari itself was crunchy and nicely lightly battered and fried, I would guesstimate that about 50% of the dish was actually calamari. The rest of the fried bits were carrot coins, lemon slices (with the seeds still in...) and what I think were pieces of poblano peppers. This honestly felt disappointing as the portion was quite small to start, and then for half of it to be miscellaneous fried veggies felt like it wasn't a great deal. The steak tartare was also an extremely tiny portion, with the plate heavily populated by arugula leaves and six tiny toasts. Not the most generous portions here unfortunately. I got the steak frites as my main. The steak itself was presently beautifully with a peppercorn sauce poured over it. However, I was looking for the salt shaker because the steak was quite underseasoned. While it looked like a good medium rare cook (how I ordered it) with a great looking sear, I had quite a bit of chew work to do getting through the gristly bits. The fatty side cap was a bit chewy and could have used some direct searing. The oysters were delicious! Not even a little bit of grit, with a very onion-heavy mignonette as an accompaniment. We didn't order much from the raw bar due to my friends' tastes but I feel like this would probably be the reason I come back another time with different people! I could have definitely been happier with the food here. But again don't sleep on the raw bar and if you're looking for a nice place to hang for an evening, overall great vibes here!

The quality was excellent then, and on something of a whim on a recent visit to Quincy, I stopped in for a fish and chips lunch. I joked with the counter staff about the length between visits, and they joked about about not letting it go forty more years -- they might not be around that long! With a craving for some seafood, we decided to pop in for a late lunch. The whole Burke's team was friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. We asked for recommendations and made some quick selections before the kitchen closes for the day. We opted for the shrimp lunch, oyster dinner, and a seafood chowder. The chowder came out first. The lady was so friendly, making sure we had enough spoons and cups of water. The chowder was thick and creamy with chunks of seafood. I am not usually fans of fried seafood. However, the fried shrimps and fried oysters here were so good that the batter didn't adulterate the freshness of the shrimps and oysters at all. Both were cooked to perfection without being dry. As I was watching the light snow flurries outside the windows, I was thinking to myself that I was lucky to still enjoy some fresh seafood here as the temperatures are dropping.

With this comes the anxiety that I will discover a mind-blowing place and kick myself for not heading in sooner. Thus, a disappointing experience doesn't hurt *quite* as bad. However, the foodie in me doesn't care about relocation... he cares about food. Lured in by reviews of my peers, I tried the Tokenfire Colada and the Ribeye Steak. The Colada seemed interesting and unique, and the steak looked mouthwatering in the pictures. Tokenfire Colada - This one was very sweet, peanuty, extremely creamy, and a little savory. The thickness kept it from being refreshing, and I am not sure if I would call it boozy either. Usually with cocktails I sip and sip until it's all gone well before the halfway point, like popcorn in a movie theater where the bag is gone by the end of the trailers. Then there was the Ribeye Steak. I don't know... something about one of the photos here possessed me to order it, though I almost never order steak at a restaurant (gosh knows why). The wait for this thing was considerable, more than I would expect for a medium-rare piece of meat, especially when it wasn't that busy. I can only imagine if all tables/bar seats were full and there was a waitlist! Eventually the steak made it to me, but... was it worth it? No, it was worth neither the wait, nor the money it cost. First, rather than being cooked medium-rare as requested, it was more a medium-well, at best. Second, some of the steak was extraordinarily chewy. Third and finally, I found it rather bland, while some salt was used in seasoning, this was very light. The steak came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. These two were also bland, and so forgettable I didn't remember them until I went to upload the photo of the dish. Finally, there is the question of vibe. It feels like a place with light tavern influences. Not at all bad to spend a couple hours. However, as a small quip, the purple/violet LEDs fly in the face of said vibe. Thus, we are left with a thoroughly underwhelming experience where I begrudgingly finished my items because I am not someone who likes to send food back. I am only glad I tried Tokenfire in that I won't regret never trying it.

We ordered Mexican corn, fried calamari, and chicken wings for the starters. We wanted to order the octopus, but it was unavailable. The corn has little seasoning compared to those at Mexican restaurants. The batter for the calamari was so crispy. It would be nice if it were fried clam belly, but this is not a seafood restaurant. The wings are crispy and a little spicy with the Thai chili sauce; this dish was a fusion dish for them. The main dishes are pork shank and rib-eye steak; it might be bland for some people because they use simple seasoning. The pork shank was tender and juicy, perfectly paired with broccolini, which I even placed another order to go. The rib-eye steak (medium rare) was tender and juicy but a little bland to me. My partner enjoyed it since he preferred simple seasoning on the steak. Both entrees were huge. Coming here with an empty stomach is better. It is reasonably priced and offers excellent service from a local restaurant. They need to update their menu
