Not happy about my experience with this place today. I decided I wanted some fried clams, and…read morerather than go to two of the mainstays in the area, The Clam Box or Tony's Clam Shop, I figured I'd give this place a shot. So I go to their website and they have a large order of clams listed at $31.95, and I'm really in the mood for a big plate of clams so I say "what the heck" and order the large. When I arrive to pick up the order, there's a paper sign hanging by the register listing the prices for clams, and suddenly I find out the price I saw on the website was $8.00 dollars! less than what they were actually going to change me, $40.00. Since I have a sense of honor, and didn't want to just walk out without paying for my order, I paid for my takeout and left. Once I got home and opened my order I could see that it in no way resembled what you would expect is $40 worth of clams, I Get clams all the time at The Clam Box and Tony's for prices much lower than this and the amount I was looking at simply didn't justify that ridiculous $40 bill. Now there are other seafood takeout restaurant out there (such as Fred's for example) that allow their prices for clams and scallops to fluctuate with the market. And ALL of them list "Market Price" in the price area of those items on their website. Fish & Chips might show a set price but clams and scallops have "Market Price". Other shops like The Clam Box and Tony's list a fixed price for their clams and scallops on their website, and they HONOR that listed price. Adam's Fish Market does neither of these things, and I can guarantee they will never be seeing another order from me.

Probably my top choice for Cantonese and Cantonese seafood in the area, Wealth is a small place,…read morebut definitely punches above its weight. Despite its size, Wealth is good for larger groups, with its sizeable round tables with lazy susans. Plus the restaurant is quite clean and does not have that dumpster or unknown stench that I detect at some Chinatown spots. The seafood here is strong, but other offerings are good as well. Their noodles have good wok flavor and are generously-portioned. I like their salt & pepper chicken wings as a party food or appetizer. Though a bit pricey, their black pepper beef on a sizzling pan is a bit of a show-stopper, with pretty tenderized beef. Even the vegetable entrees aren't bad as well. Their stir-fried peapod stems are pretty good. They'll work with you if you are vegan/vegetarian. Service is probably its weakness, even with the understanding that it's a Chinese restaurant and I order in Cantonese. They'll try to hurry you along at the end of a meal. One waiter even asked, "Are you done?" Before I could retort he said, "We're running a business here". The FOH is pretty nice and is prompt. The restaurant is literally across the street from the Wollaston T stop, so getting here without a car is totally possible.

It's best to compare and shop but if you choose to shop here always be prepared to spend more on some products! This place has everything you desire from fresh fruits and vegetables to prepared foods and a bakery that will make you salivate! Go up and down the aisle and you will see so many choices in Noodles and condiments and a plethora of frozen seafoods and more! The fresh meats and chickens can be pricey and the fresh fish on ice displays for your choosing! You can actually spend hours and find unusual food items! Then the sweet area with cookies and cakes and many many snacks to satisfy any craving! The parking lot is always full and I find very little employees around except at their areas! It's a very nice place but not as friendly staff. They pride themselves to check you out fast to help the next sometimes at 5 items of less they don't bag your items. So be prepared to bring your bag! Lots of foot traffic and lots of movement of customers! I noticed that it was all Asian Shoppers and I was the only Caucasian there at least for today! At times going up and down the aisle I was pushed or bumped to get out of their way, but I was in their market! In many ways I only like to see what healthy veggies I can buy that's not offered at Stop n shop! There is more meat variety and choices of different Chicken parts available! But, it has lots of options! I like that!!!

I would say my go-to-place if I am in the Boston/Quincy area for fried seafood. Portions are reasonable size and priced. I haven't been here in a couple years, have tried other places closer where I live in Central MA (Kimball Ice Cream) offer fried seafood or Northern MA (woodman's). I would say... other places are just as good or better, bigger portions and just as fresh, priced appropriately. We had the Oysters platter w/onion rings, fried seafood platter and broiled sea scallops. The broiled scallops was a bit overcooked, dried vs the fried sea scallops in the seafood platter was perfect & juicy and plum. The onion rings were okay, had better at Kimball's with more. If I'm meeting with family or friends in the Boston or Quincy area, I pick Tony's Clam box, they don't disappoint, they do get busy on nice days.
