Lobster roll, fries and onion rings
Ann N.

If you love lobster tossed in a mixture of mayo and celery stuffed in a thick, buttery, warm roll this is it. This is the best lobster roll I have ever had!!! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to trying more items on my next visit

Fish and chips.

Had this craving for fish and chips ever since flying into Boston a week ago. Finally had a little time to explore. Found Burke's Seafood. Just what the doctor ordered!

Bowl of clam chowder, lump crab cake

Burke's is my go-to fried seafood spot when I get a craving and can't make it to the Cape. It's half seafood market half cafe area with seating and dine-in service. The kitchen is only open until 3pm ET and they're closed Sundays. Everyone from the cashier, chefs and waitstaff are friendly and the fish is always fresh. The prices are very fair with a fried lunch platter between $14-$36.00 (depending on what you order) and dinner plates starting at around $19, which is a pretty great deal compared with many other things places in the Boston-ish area (Yankee in Seaport, Alive & Kicking in Cambridge). The cafe seating is self seating and casual set up, there is waitstaff who comes to clear plates away and check in to make sure everything is alright. You order and pay upfront at the market but can leave a tip on the table. I like how they're consistent (fried food is not over fried / over cooked) and they added a couple grain bowl options to their menu too. I wish they were a bit closer instead of in Quincy, but then I'd be eating there all the time so better for self control. Today we ordered the shrimp lunch plate, clam chowder, lump crab cake (mostly crab, little filler/breadcrumbs), and Haddock fish and chips lunch plate. Food came out fairly quickly and hit the spot as usual! Great small business to support when in the area or craving for some solid fried seafood.

Burke's Seafood is an old staple in Quincy. It is divided into two buildings with the first part being the fish market and then the other being the dine-in area. The fish market has grab and go food (including Shrimp Scampi Pasta, Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Haddock Pie), a frozen selection, and a fresh seafood market where you can buy fresh fish or shellfish to cook at home. I ordered the Clam Chowder and Seafood Platter (Haddock, Sea Scallops, Whole Clams, Onion Rings, and Cole Slaw) to split with a friend. The food was good and was high quality, but more expensive and smaller portions when compared to similar restaurants such as Tony's Clam Box and Belle Isle Seafood. There is a small table for self serve condiments and water. The staff here are very friendly and attentive.

This place is legit! The freshest seafood. I highly recommend snagging a crab cake as well - so good! Family vibes inside the market. Swordfish was great.

Clam strip roll

Delicious food. Great service and friendly staff. The lobster roll was one of the best I have had and the clam strip roll was also delicious. You have to try their house chowder. It is loaded with fish and lobster and other goodies.

AMAZING lobster roll

I tried lobster rolls and chowder from 3 places (brukes, boston sail loft ,and legal seafood) while in town and this was by far the best in both categories. The lobster roll had a warm perfectly toasted delicious slightly sweet bun with a lightly sauced FRESH flavorful lobster. The lobster here was by far the freshest and best tasting. It is about half the size of legal's roll but it is also about half the price and had much higher quality better cooked lobster. I thought the size was actually a perfect portion for the price. The seafood chowder is amazing, its not a super thick chowder, but still creamy yet brothy and brimming with delicious seafood favors. This was the only place I had to order a second bowl it was so delicious. I also tried the crabcake which was wonderful and almost all fresh sweet crab meat with little breading/binder. It's also worth mentioning that even with the extra crab cake I ordered here, the bill was still the lowest of the three resteaunts I tried. I'll 100% be back when in the state again.

The best fresh fish, fried, broiled Great meals…read more John and George great service great guys

Not happy about my experience with this place today. I decided I wanted some fried clams, and…read morerather than go to two of the mainstays in the area, The Clam Box or Tony's Clam Shop, I figured I'd give this place a shot. So I go to their website and they have a large order of clams listed at $31.95, and I'm really in the mood for a big plate of clams so I say "what the heck" and order the large. When I arrive to pick up the order, there's a paper sign hanging by the register listing the prices for clams, and suddenly I find out the price I saw on the website was $8.00 dollars! less than what they were actually going to change me, $40.00. Since I have a sense of honor, and didn't want to just walk out without paying for my order, I paid for my takeout and left. Once I got home and opened my order I could see that it in no way resembled what you would expect is $40 worth of clams, I Get clams all the time at The Clam Box and Tony's for prices much lower than this and the amount I was looking at simply didn't justify that ridiculous $40 bill. Now there are other seafood takeout restaurant out there (such as Fred's for example) that allow their prices for clams and scallops to fluctuate with the market. And ALL of them list "Market Price" in the price area of those items on their website. Fish & Chips might show a set price but clams and scallops have "Market Price". Other shops like The Clam Box and Tony's list a fixed price for their clams and scallops on their website, and they HONOR that listed price. Adam's Fish Market does neither of these things, and I can guarantee they will never be seeing another order from me.
