Great shopping experience at the 99 Ranch Market. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Produce, seafood, and prepared foods all looked very fresh. Definitely one of the better Asian grocery stores in the area. Would come back again!

Love this grocery store! I come here every week and always impressed by how clean and well-maintained the store is. They carry a wide variety of Asian products, and the fresh produce and seafood section is especially good and in good price. Everything feels organized, fresh, and easy to shop for.

Top tier Asian supermarket. Huge, they have everything from frozen to prepared foods, a bakery, produce, hot food bar, etc. also some great deals.

    Rotten fish!

On May 31st, I went to 99 Ranch Market in Quincy, MA and purchased two types of fish, one was fresh tilapia. I placed the tilapia into a cooler with ice in my car to bring it home, when I got home I was met with a big surprise. When I opened the cooler and brought out the tilapia, I was attacked by an extreme odor of rotten fish, it did not look like the fish I saw when I purchased it. Rotten fish! We live at best an hour's drive away! The gas would be more than the refund! Keep an eye on your purchases, they might trick you like this!!! Buyers beware!!!

The fish and the vegetables are fresh and places are very busy and it's kept clean. Plenty of hard to find things to choose from and the prices are decent.

99 Ranch is our go-to Chinese supermarket. It's clean, has a bakery, and fresh seafood and meat cases. Its newest addition are combo meals for lunch!! $8.49 for a carb (rice or lo mein) plus 2 dishes, $9.99 for 3 dishes. There's seating if you choose to eat it there. Service is no-nonsense and efficient.

I saw in fb that they do 5% back for student ID m-f. You enter your phone number for discount 1 point = 1 dollar build for 1000 points for 10$ The store is the same layout as big Y. They have pretty good sales better than kan man or c mart Different snack selections: but not as much as kan man or c mart A lot of selections for hot pot but they don't have cheese balls :(

So I go to their website and they have a large order of clams listed at $31.95, and I'm really in the mood for a big plate of clams so I say "what the heck" and order the large. When I arrive to pick up the order, there's a paper sign hanging by the register listing the prices for clams, and suddenly I find out the price I saw on the website was $8.00 dollars! less than what they were actually going to change me, $40.00. Since I have a sense of honor, and didn't want to just walk out without paying for my order, I paid for my takeout and left. Once I got home and opened my order I could see that it in no way resembled what you would expect is $40 worth of clams, I Get clams all the time at The Clam Box and Tony's for prices much lower than this and the amount I was looking at simply didn't justify that ridiculous $40 bill. Now there are other seafood takeout restaurant out there (such as Fred's for example) that allow their prices for clams and scallops to fluctuate with the market. And ALL of them list "Market Price" in the price area of those items on their website. Fish & Chips might show a set price but clams and scallops have "Market Price". Other shops like The Clam Box and Tony's list a fixed price for their clams and scallops on their website, and they HONOR that listed price. Adam's Fish Market does neither of these things, and I can guarantee they will never be seeing another order from me.

The food court has quite a good selection of restaurants to choose from, in addition to having Tous Les Jours bakery and also Gong Cha. There is plenty of seating and there are also restrooms available. After we had lunch, we ended up purchasing the following from the market side: FInger Kimbap, $6.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Shrimp Tempura Kimbap, $8.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Razor Clams, $22.34 prior to tax- Rarely have we seen razor clams sold in a market (the only other one we have seen them was at a T&T Supermarket in Washington). So we decided to purchase them, even though the price did seem more expensive. We ended up purchasing a little over a pound (it was $14.99 per pound). My husband cooked them back at our Airbnb and they were delicious. Live Lobster, $13.10 prior to tax- Price for live lobster is significantly cheaper than back home in Los Angeles so we knew we had to get one (the last time we were in Boston, we dined out for Lobster over a handful of times and also did purchase them from seafood markets). Lobster was only $7.99 per pound, we got close to 2 pounds. My husband also cooked this back at our Airbnb and the meat was nice and sweet. Pink Apple, $2.51 prior to tax- Ended up only purchasing 2 apples because the quality of fruit seemed to be rather sub par. ----------------------------- (Total= $55 after tax) When we were in the seafood department, we were able to get an employee's attention to help us. But we did see this one young guy just standing there waiting to see if any one would help him. I think at these places, you have to get the attention of the employees if you want to be helped since there was no number or ticket to get for someone to call you when its your turn. Also I was greatly disappointed with the quality of produce on this visit. A lot of the fruit was rather poor quality, looking like some of the fruit was too ripe. And some of the vegetables looked old. Overall, I think our shopping experience was good, just wished the produce was better. But the prices seemed to be pretty good in general and similar to what I have seen back home at our local H Mart. If I was local to this area, I would most likely be a regular here.

We got fried milk for fun because it's not commonly available at many Cantonese restaurants especially without preordering. It was more of a fun dish to eat. It tasted a bit like coconut pudding lol. The skin was a bit thick but at least it wasn't too oily. Also it was a huge size for the price $13.85. We asked for an off menu soup. We wanted something with tofu and veggies and meat. It wasn't available on the menu but they were able to put an order for it via their ipad. It came out great, comforting and full of natural sweetness. We saw almost every table ordering their lobster deal - two for $30.85. They said how it's the smaller type and they offer larger sizes which are priced by pound. We decided to get the larger ones for the sake of having more meat to eat. When it came out, it was smaller than expected but we didn't say much. Later on, the boss came proactively came up to us telling us that they changed our bill to charge us the deal price because the "large" lobster ran small. Garlic sauteed surf clam was the table favorite. The garlic sauce (note not goopy or watery) was soooo good, full of umami with both fresh and fried garlic. It actually tasted so good we didn't want to finish it so we can take it home for another meal. Clams with black bean sauce was alright. Their black bean sauce isn't exciting, so we might not get it next time. Deep fried ribs with garlic wasn't as good. Maybe they're just better at cooking seafood. The garlic doesn't taste as good as the surf clam one either.

Their noodles have good wok flavor and are generously-portioned. I like their salt & pepper chicken wings as a party food or appetizer. Though a bit pricey, their black pepper beef on a sizzling pan is a bit of a show-stopper, with pretty tenderized beef. Even the vegetable entrees aren't bad as well.
