Moldy bread
Renzo C.

Im tired of this place selling me expired and moldy stuff every single time, I've had issues with strawberries, raspberries, milk, and bread several times, ive gone back for refunds but it takes time of my day to go back every time. I literally just ate a sandwich with bread that had mold on it without realizing until the end. I bought it two days ago and i just saw the expiration date that says it expired a week ago. Honestly I gave this place every chance, I spoke to managers, and its sad because I live so close and I'm hispanic so they have everything I need, but I'm done with them selling me food with mold. Someone should send an inspector to check it out

Great place for spices and sauces you can't find elsewhere. Great Boston area market for my barbecue jerk chicken sauces and spices. Excellent grocery place for meats or breads that you don't find in regular supermarkets.

Their self items are expired and they don't do refund. So basically go spend your earned money for foul items.

Great store, conveniently located, clean, and nice selection…read more The cashiers are generally fine except today I got a super passive-aggressive one. It seems Desiree has got quite an attitude. She never spoke to me although I spoke to her, and she had her nose in the air the whole time. I told her I would need bags. No response. I thought maybe she just didn't speak English so I asked if she understood . I got an "m-hmm" So she's just rude. Then she just let all the stuff go to the end and made no move to bag it. I bag it if I have my own bag, but it is actually the cashier's job. Then a bagger came by and she spoke (!) to him and said I needed bags. I thanked him and left without my receipt because I didn't want to deal with her rudeness. Maybe she was mad because I interupted her gossip session with her friend when I came to her register. Not that she didn't take her time finishing up with her. Sometimes they hire some real winners. I suppose they can't be too picky. But since Miss Desiree is clearly too special for this job, perhaps they should let her go find another one that she would be more suited to. How about snooty retail person?

Ranging from various cheese, deli meats to fresh poultry and seafood to alcohol as well. Think of it like your Albertsons or Ralph's with also a good bakery selection. Also a good place to get fresh seafood where they can prepare it for you. Overall, a nice and clean grocery store. Staff is quite friendly and check out is quite easy.

Whole Foods in the Back Bay area of Boston is a compact outpost of the high end grocery chain,…read morecovering the essentials without the space of a suburban store. We walked into a produce section that is well stocked and an organic selection consistent with what the brand delivers. The hot bar is expanded and makes the store a practical option for a ready made lunch or dinner without much planning required. Pricing is a consistent downside that makes this not our first choice. Individual items across the store run significantly higher than what we would pay at a conventional grocery chain, and the urban location pricing adds another layer on top of the standard Whole Foods premium. For staple items and everyday groceries, the cost adds up quickly enough that we decide to buy from here only if we really need to. For a quick prepared meal or a specific organic item in the Back Bay area, it serves its purpose, but for regular grocery shopping we look elsewhere.

Last night my wife and I were in the Beverly MA store just before closing time. Probably 15 minutes…read morebefore. We had gotten a whole pizza and we're going to take it home and heat it up. It was obviously sitting there for a while but we didn't mind. When we went to pay there was no sticker on it from the pizza section because nobody was there to give us one. At checkout there was no option for a whole pizza so we had someone come over to help us. The associate couldn't figure it out so she went and got a manager. The manager came back and said we'd have to pay the per slice price of $4. That would have been $32 for a pizza that was sitting there for quite a while. Not to mention that the whole pizza price on the sign at the pizza station in the store was $15. When I brought this to the manager's attention he couldn't have cared less. He said if you want it it's $32. I told him that it was $15 on their sign and it was probably two hours old so I gave it back to him. Rather than be reasonable and just charge us the $15 we would have paid, he chose to take it back and exhibit some of the worst customer service we had experienced in quite a while. We weren't looking for any special treatment or discounts. We just wanted to pay the advertised price for a whole pizza. Not the per slice price that was double the whole pizza price. Just wanted to bring this lapse of customer service judgement to others attention.
