What a charming little place! We got our woodburning fireplace in our new house repaired at the end of February. It seemed silly to buy a whole quart of firewood at the end of the season, so we've been going to the grocery store. The wood is sub par, wrapped in environmentally unfriendly plastic and pops A LOT! So when we were driving past this place in Milton, we gave it a shot. They are lovely and will load firewood into your car for you. I went on my way home while wearing a suit, heels and formal coat, and the gentleman helping us out would not let me touch a log. Their wood burns very nicely and is the perfect size. There are very few pops and the wood is high quality. We recently relocated to the Boston area, and had purchased wood from another source in NY. This wood is far superior to what we had previously ordered and we plan to order it in bulk next year. Bonus points, this quaint store has nice freshly baked bread, flowers and gourmet goods as well as some staples. Only thing I would recommend is adding some Iggy's baguettes. Stopped into Eagle Farms earlier today to grab some chocolate milk & I swear I get sooo happy every time I pick up some! We used to order directly from Thatcher Farms but stopped getting delivery a few years ago. I still like to grab a few from here or the Fruit Center Marketplace in the square every so often. I really enjoy their chocolate milk (they sell Hatchland Farms NH & Thatcher Farms), but today I saw that they had coffee milk too! Thought that was interesting but didn't end up grabbing... I must try it next time ;) Aside from the milks, they also carry popular beverage brands like Polar Seltzer cans, Oatly! Oatmilk, Welch's juices, Newman's Own, Tropicana, etc. They also sell bread, sandwiches, snacks such as cookies and candy, and fresh flowers that are displayed outside! In the fall, they have a bunch of pumpkins for sale & in the winter time, they usually have some Christmas trees you can buy! Very cute place & highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

This is where we get the flowers for our flower garden at home and also where we get our Christmas tree every year. It is a small store with a great selection of plants and flowers outside. The store has a good amount of items in it for a small store. Here you will find snacks, beverages, a small amount of dairy products, breads, groceries (some from local vendors), a good produce selection and best of all a deli counter where you can order sandwiches. I was exploring the store and I found an assortment of candies sold in plastic containers. I saw some chocolate covered cashews that I decided to purchase. They were pretty reasonably priced and very delicious. The store is very well organized and kept very clean. The service is also very good here. read more

Stopped by Eagle Farms after years of driving by it. Bought an Apple Pie which I was hoping would be fresh and homemade. Nothing special about the flavor or crust. Wouldn't purchase again. The cashiers were extremely welcoming to other customers but, didn't say much once I was at the register. Overall, the store was well stocked with artisan and local items. I get great plants and flowers here every spring, so already enjoyed Eagle Farms. This year, I started to love this store, as I was so impressed with how they stepped up during quarantine. The owner took limiting customers and wearing face coverings very seriously, and this was the only place my mom was comfortable going (and, frankly, that I was comfortable with her going to). He also added delivery. He has a small operation without tons of employees and was obviously overworked, but really stepped up for the community. I wanted to acknowledge him for his kind manner and the personal attention that he gave to me when I was getting my Christmas Tree. I buy a lot of my plants here, they are always very good quality. The people who work there a very friendly and helpful. I've had only good experiences here. I ordered 16 forsythia last spring, they delivered them to my house and it was less expensive than schlepping them home myself from home depot. They were all good strong plants. Eagle Farms' apple pie was a lot like my Grandma's - She bought Table Talk at the supermarket. I bought two Eagle pies for Thanksgiving, apple-cranberry and blueberry. $17 each. Seemed high. Regular 9". I asked the sales person for a receipt. He says, "What are you going to do, write 'em off?" Couple more of those pies, I'd need an investment tax credit. Crusts were good. Apples were mush. Blueberry goo was straight from wholesale cans. Buy them for a tax write-off. Spend less for better quality for eating and to receive a receipt without asking. read more

Everytime I have gone in they have been more than great, friendly and helpful. I have found their prices better than other nurseries with no trouble on returns. I frequent there often now and love the selection of fruits and vegetables as well as the homemade pies. I am not sure about the previous reviewers negative comment but I think it is interesting that they say they are not inexperienced but needed to ask how to care for the plant. I would not hesitate in recommending them at all. read more

Lived in the area for many years and for some reason I never associated this place with specialty food items and everyday conveniences, but boy have I been missing out. Not anymore! This place is top notch! Boars head deli meats, Alfredo Italian products, Dom's steak tips, local baked goods, the list goes on. If you haven't had the meatballs they are amazing! They are on par with any restaurant in the North End if not better! So happy to have finally discovered this place. read more

Stay away from Eagle Farms if you want a company that stands by their work, their products and strives for happy clients. After spending over $25,000 on new landscaping of my property along with hydro seeding the new lawn areas, Jason, the owner, will not come back and guarantee his work. After the winter months, the hydro seeding did not take in all areas and several shrubs did not make it. After trying to schedule them several times, with promises of them coming to fix the lawn and replace the shrubs, they never showed up with no communication, even though they promised last year they would do so. Jason is not interested in standing by his company's work, products and services. He is unresponsive, disrespectful, rude and arrogant. He states this is a family business, but this is not a family business you want anything to do with - stay away if you value your time and money!!! read more

Fruits and Vegetables does not do this stand justice. They seemed to have everything you need, great selection of product, I always shop around and end up buying all my plants and flowers there, and finish off getting the best deli sandwich in town!. But when you go inside its a throw back to the old days, having everything from meats to chocolates, (and Brighams ice cream in the freezer). November 3,2012 - Yesterday I stopped by Eagle Farms to purchase some items for lunch. While the produce seems to be fresh the deli meat is not. I only buy Boars Head and only on occasion as we are dealing with a serious health issue in our family. Open the roast beef, it smelled horrific. The outside edge of the roast beef is yellow. I would say that it is old. Please do not buy food here if you value your health. The older woman working there is also on the side of rude. I would recommend to go to the Fruit Center instead probably less expensive and fresher quality. read more

Went here on a nice May Sunday to buy some flowers. Typically we always go to A. Thomas and Sons (almost right next door) and we were in the neighborhood so we thought we'd swing in. Overall, the flowers were nice, and the market looked very nice inside. What was very awkward, however, was the service. While we were in the Greenhouse, two grown employees (probably 50+ yrs old) got into a heated argument over watering the plants. It was very awkward with other customers standing around. We also had our 6 month old son with us. After we selected the flowers - my wife asked if there was a cart we could use, and was very rudely told no. When we checked out, the cashier was extremely rude as well. Almost to the point that I considered after my check out that I should have cancelled the purchase and just left. I love supporting local businesses - but the guys running this place made me think that I will never go back there again. After that - we went to A Thomas and Sons to buy some more flowers - the people were helpful and lovely. I didn't even have to ask for help - they offered help selecting flowers and helped putting them in the car without asking. read more
