Absolutely love this place . Prices are so adorable and I believe they should have this restaurant all over town . Get atmosphere where you can eat inside or out places always busy which goes to say they have delicious food. I would highly recommend this to everyone I must try. You won't regret it. I promise it'll be your new favorite.

Happy to try Tony's Coneys in West Columbus, I got 2 coneys, little extra for fries to substitute chips, got me a special Peppermint Oreo milkshake, and Diet Dr. Pepper. Delicious coneys milkshake sauce, mustard and onions; but will get cheese on it next time. Crispy fries, but next time onion rings. I enjoyed the Peppermint Oreo milkshake, but will get a chocolate or/and Oreo milkshake. Tony's Coneys is a West side institution since the 1950's. I will be back to Tony's Coneys again soon when I am in the West side of Columbus.

Notice they raised the prices a little. Not much at all.

Love this place. It's small. Local. Great food. Great prices. Great service. Has a little outside patio and a drive thru. Sometimes we just crave coneys and this is where we want them from. Great shakes and fries too. Always on our list. If you haven't tried it out, you should!

Always wondered about this place so I decided to go out on limb and give them a try because there's always a line of cars wrapped around the building. When I pull up I discover that the line of cars is not because their food is mind blowing or word of mouth but because they don't have a modern drive thru system. They have a all seasons menu board or sign and then you order from your car to a person who takes your order, you pay, then you drive to the next window and pick up your food. You might as well walk in and order yourself because it's the same difference. Not too much digital, kiosk, or speaker systems going on here as the place screams serious MAGA vibes. Nevertheless the guy taking my order was extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. Now to the food. These chili dogs could be made at home with items picked up from ALDIs or Krogers which is not a bad thing but it's like for me if I'm eating out I'd like to taste something unique and not run of the mill. For example, yes you can get Skyline Chili Dog sauce from Krogers but if you order chili dogs from one of their restaurants it's something unique in how it's prepared and executed that just can't quite emulate at home. This point brings me back to this place where you can clearly pull of their dogs, and probably make them better and cheaper if you put in the effort by going to the grocery store and doing them yourself. I prefer an all beef hotdog like a Hebrew National and the hot dogs were definitely your standard fare with the filler/pork/chicken mix etc I guess to keep the cost down. The bun on the one with the works with the Krogers tasting coleslaw on top was extremely soggy. They've got other stuff like malts, fries, onion rings etc but I assumed they'd taste like Krogers or Gordon Food Services items and didn't feel like trying because my expectations were not high. I could be wrong. 4 Stars because even from outwardly appearance of the place it evokes a sense of nostalgia for the surrounding community and looks to have been a staple here for generations which is why I guess people from the surrounding community regularly patronize this place. A few years back they opened up a Franks a little further down on West Broad and nobody gave a damn and it closed down pretty quick. Although Franks is a FAR SUPERIOR and way better tasting hot dog joint, unfortunately it didn't register with the west side of Columbus area community. Moreover although brief, I got excellent customer service and that goes a long way with me. Also 4 stars for the soggy buns and overall taste. Again it's not bad, Just not unique and easily duplicated.

I have been on this side of town a little more often due to a school rotation and drive by this place multiple times. Everyone in the office gave it a thumbs up so I decided do try. 1. Prices seem ridiculously low so I was not expecting the amount of food I got. 2. Someone else has mentioned not to expect anything but soft serve so I was extremely delighted to see hand dipped ice cream when I walked in. 3. The appetizers were much more filling than I expected. Hot dogs/Coney: About what you expect. It's a normal sized hot dog with plenty of cheese but I was missing a bit of chili for it to be a decent chili dog. Appetizers: Got the sampler and for $3.50 was expecting small onion rings, and less than quarter sized poppers and mushrooms. Much to my delight it contained full sized mushrooms, large, thick onion rings, zucchini fries were crispy outside and soft inside and poppers were a decent size. The basket of them was overflowing and well worth the price. Tony's Sub: - ended up giving this away so I didn't get to try it but I'll be back and update this section when I do. Shake: I got a chocolate, peanut butter and banana milkshake and I LOVED it. Hand dipped ice cream and fresh (non-green) bananas. I could taste all three flavors equally and the small was 16oz. Everyone I encountered in the store and on the phone was friendly and seem to enjoy being there which is always a plus when patroning an establishment.

I just ordered 2 large cones and 1 small cone. They all look like the same size. Such a rip off!

I visited here in my search for banana pudding Hershey Ice Cream. Haven't been to a coney island since I left Ann Arbor. They had banana pudding ice cream but not now!!! One server did think they still did, but NO. Ordered a BBQ beef sandwich and a large drink. Nothing special about the sandwich but they only have Pepsi products - there goes a star. No A/C at all - there goes another star. Should have taken another star for not being handicap accessible. How in this day and age can a business get away with THAT. By the interior, they have updated since the 1950s so that might be the answer, but that is no reason. EBS would have DEMAND JUSTICE. Will call to see if they got banana pudding Hershey Ice Cream before I go back. That would be the only reason I would come back.

Love the concept of this place. Cheap food, made relatively fast (they can get busy at times so there can be a wait). I've tried their coneys and they're the typical coney (a small hot dog and choice of toppings). The prices are up to par for the casual type of place it is and they have a lot of menu options. We come here a lot for this ice cream. The kids soft serve cones are $1 each and are a nice size. They have vanilla, chocolate, or twist. I've tried it once with the chocolate dip shell and it was delicious. It's convenient that they have a drive thru as well, so I can get cones without having to take the kids out of the car.

    Crispy onion rings, delicious

This place knows how to make your taste buds do the happy dance. We didn't have to wait long for our food, which was a blessing because I was *hangry*. When the food came out, it was hot, fresh, and basically screamed, "Eat me now!" My son went for the mushroom Swiss burger, which he devoured like he hadn't eaten in weeks. I opted for the classic cheeseburger with fries -- simple, juicy, and absolutely perfect. Oh, and as if one meal wasn't enough, my son also ordered a chicken sandwich. He declared it "the best ever," which is saying something because this kid is a chicken sandwich connoisseur. The television entertainment was the Cartoon Network, which made me know this was a special place. Preston's, you've earned a special place in our hearts (and stomachs). The burger was good, very fresh bun, fresh ingredients. The fries were pretty ordinary, but crisp and hot. The standout was the biscuits that I ordered to see what they were like. The were unique and very good. They were just a little sweet. Good texture /mouth feel. I wonder if the biscuits would make a good burger bun... maybe too sweet? The place was very clean and inviting. The qr code ordering was handy, but a bit impersonal. The server was nice and did offer to take my order personally. Not sure if I'll come back on my own initiative (not close to my house). But if a friend said let's have lunch there I'd be happy to return.

The beauty of a Saturday afternoon is there were sports on and TVs hanging on the walls. That made the wait easy. Boy do they know their stuff bc it was pretty much one hour to the minute when they called our name and escorted us to our table. We sat in a booth and took in on the collection of various items around the bar that have been gathered through the years and had some laughs at some of it. It was almost like a fun game of eye spy! They came to take our drink order and by the time they returned we were ready to order. We chatted for a bit and our food came out in what seemed to be a good time. I ordered the Patty Melt with onion straws. My husband got the Thurman Burger. We were surprised by its size when they came carrying it out to our table. Believe it or not he ate every single bite. Said it was delicious. Mine was equally as delicious. Maybe not quite as big but that was fine by me. I actually quite enjoyed that they served the 1000 island on the side. It made it way easier to eat. The cheese was nice and gooey. Just perfect. The onion straws were good too. I shared those with my husband. They were actually just as good on their own as they were dipped in any kind of sauce. That's big coming from me bc I love dipping! We got a box for our leftovers and headed out happy with a great first time experience here.

Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp.
