My husband and I ordered online on December 31... said they were open and to our surprise we pull up and they're closed. When you call it says they're closed, but they took our money off anyways? We didn't even get our food and you're closed, but my money is taken and no answer ..it's literally only $28 and some change, but just didn't like how this happened

Bang for your buck: 9/10 Quality: 9.5/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance/Location: 8/10 Overall: 9/10 A great hidden gem! It's a bit intimidating from the outside. Not in a great area and a bit unassuming (but cute!). We ordered two of their most popular dogs, pops, and two ice cream cones and our bill was about $20. A bit expensive for hot dogs, but they were seriously massive and wound up being worth it. The owner is incredibly kind and spoke to us for awhile while we waited and while we ate. Be aware he'll likely talk to you, too, but it's part of the charm. If that's not your thing, plan to take yours to-go. The menu is extensive and there's always a super unique special. For example, they serve a gator dog (yup. a hot dog made of alligator) every October with such limited availability folks are lining up to get theirs. Don't let the outside fool you; you need to stop in.

Coney Dog and a small (4oz) side of German potato salad

There are a lot of good reviews about Bowzers but I was sadly not impressed. The first thing I have to point out is that the owner was *very* chatty. It was to the point where I couldn't read the menu because he just wouldn't stop talking. If you are one of those people (like me) where reading the menu is a sacred and difficult decision making time, read it before you go! I ordered a Coney Dog with a side of German potato salad and my husband got a box that had a Coney Pup, Mac N Cheese, and Cole Slaw. The owner told us that the Coney sauce was a homemade recipe so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't find it to be impressive. The dog was a very large size and the pup is the regular sized hot dog that you would normally see. After eating we still felt very hungry and actually made more food for ourselves at home. The overall experience did not meet our expectations and I'm not sure if I'll ever stop at this hot dog igloo stand again...

My first experience with Bowzers was as a delivery. The driver spent five minutes telling me about the gregarious owner and his big dreams. The most memorable visit to the Brice Igloo was when I went for the Bison dog. This thing was impressive and still is one of my most commented on Facebook photos. I was being eyed by the Brice Police my entire visit. I suggested Bowzers to the Big Bass Brothers and was a little shocked when they actually visited. It is a really fun business to follow on Facebook, and obviously you want to ride the breaks your entire time in Brice.

Very yummy! I believe this is called the Super Reuby Jr.

I heard about Bowzers through Groupon and decided to try something new. My fiancé and I live in Dublin and we were going to be in the area today for shopping, so we decided to stop by for lunch. The hotdog stand itself has loads of character, as it used to be an igloo ice cream stand. Everything is very retro and original, which I find to be cool. The owner is a delightful man who is very helpful and enjoys talking with the customers. You can tell that he is a people-person and genuinely appreciates his customers and getting to meet new people. After studying the menu, we decided on which hotdogs we were going to order. I ordered the Super Reubey Jr. combo, basically a Reuben sandwich style hotdog (it was excellent), and my fiancé decided on a cheese coney and a junkyard dog. He also ordered what we agreed to be the greatest vanilla milkshake in the Columbus area. It was a REAL milkshake! The owner said that it is also a 1970's era milkshake machine. It still works great, because I'm telling you, that was the best milkshake around! OMG! The overall service at Bowzers was outstanding. If you're looking for a casual, unique experience and great food, stop by and try it.

Mutt dog. Hot dog on German potato salad with dill pickle slices and mustard

Staying outside Columbus for the night and we needed something quick. My husband found this place and what's another hotdog on this trip :) We looked over the menu and picked out what we wanted. We got 2 plain dogs for the kids. I got the Mutt Hot Dog and my husband got the Phuphu Dog. We also got a medium side of mac&cheese. Both were delish. The phuphu is definitely hot, but the combination was impressive. The mutt dog was great. I loved having some cool condiments on a warmer dog. I ended up not eating most of the bun, but only because I needed a fork and knife to eat the mutt. The online ordering was easy and made pick up even quicker. My husband picked up the order while I waited at the hotel. The owner shared the story of the stand with my husband. It was a good story and nice to meet a small business owner. Definitely stop there. It's quick and delicious. You've never had dogs like this. I mean who would think to wrap a hotdog up in a tortilla?

Just got Bowzers for the first time and I will definitely be back! So many times I've driven past the little igloo and it's been vacant... so glad it's occupied now! I ordered the coney and phuphu dogs! Both were rather tasty! These aren't your ordinary hotdogs... they're 1/4 pounders! The coney sauce was sweet, the cheese was piled high, and the bun was perfect for the toppings. The phuphu was truly unique! Loved the mac n cheese! No bun, wrapped in a tortilla shell and the cheese added just enough spice! Looking forward to the summer and trying all of the options!

We've driven past this place several times, but never stopped. We made it a point to go there today and I have to say that we're very impressed with their hotdog choices. I chose to get the Fat Cat and boy I double dog dare ya. We waited more time than expected, but it was worth the wait. Wifey chose to get the Coney which isn't pictured, but it was awesome as well. The chili is sweet, but it didn't bother us much. Thanks for the awesome got dog experience.

The Coney Dog with cheese (even though I asked for NO CHEESE.)
Godfather ..

The owner is a nice guy and very friendly. I wish him the best and hope he succeeds at this hot dog business. With that said, unfortunately the taste just didn't do it for me. I got a coney that I asked for no cheese and he put cheese on it. The coney sauce was just ok, I've had better coney sauce. I also tried The Hangover that has crushed Doritos on it. Again it was just ok not great. I tried the Mac & Cheese which the owner said was the bomb. Well it was NOT the bomb. It was just ok. The coleslaw was just ok not great like I was told it would be. I've had better and I make homemade coleslaw that taste great. For the price and the taste, you can find better in town. Sorry Bowzer. I wish you the best and good luck with your business.

Taco Truck Extravaganza 2010 continues with our adventure to Whitehall this afternoon. Hoping that…read morethe taco trucks would find us, instead of going by the Alive or Yelp guides (just testing the chaos theory, folks - the Alive article and the Yelp lists are wonderful), we happened upon Taqueria La Morena right about the time we were going to pass out from hunger (no, really - I kept forgetting to "go" at green lights...). Turns out, this taco truck has only been open a couple weeks - and it's a newbie definitely worth checking out. So, we ordered something similar to what we got at La Super Torta II (the last taco truck on this summer of taco wonderment): here, we got one each carne asade taco, cabra (goat) torta, and a pineapple drink, the name of which sadly escapes me. The tacos were good (I liked the chorizo ones at La Super Torta better), but the torta here was outstanding - five stars. The bread was slightly less condensed than at the last taco truck, making it easier to eat, and the cabra meat was so tender and delicious... The torta also had shredded raddish and cilantro, and the owner (I assume) was kind enough to provide us with three types of hot sauce, all of which were too hot for me, but which the boy thoroughly enjoyed (esp. the habanero). There were also plentiful freshly cut limes for all of our food. The man who I'm guessing is the owner was really nice - I will have to ask the boy what his name was, as they were conversing in Spanish and I know possibly the least Spanish of any American ever (fail, considering that I'm around Mexican guys so much). Anyway, the owner's family was hanging out and the boy had a conversation with him and another man about where to find charcoal roasted goat in Cbus (apparently nowhere - but if you know a place, PLEASE let me know!). This was a really great random find in Whitehall. Like I said, La Morena is new - the food is excellent and the service is friendly and nice - so if you're in the neighborhood, show them some love. Support your local businesses - and your local taco trucks! Taco trucks forever!!

We went with Nashville hot, Steph's Way, and toxic sauce for the cauliflower bites. Portions were fantastic for the price. The Nashville hot was my favorite. Not too hot with just enough kick.
