Regular batter - half dog, half cheese
    Saphace A.

I really love eating Korean Corn dogs. The best one I've had was in LA, it was called Mochi Dochi. Myungrang is also an LA chain. Nice to see that Midwesterners get a taste of Korean street food! We found parallel parking across the street. What luck! When we came in, there were college students with their families waiting in line. Probably because they were in town before Christmas since school was out. Only two workers back there but they were doing a great job! One was frying up the corndog while a young woman worked the register, rolled the cooked dog in sugar and added any sauces. We didn't wait too long. Maybe 7-10 minutes. I got a sweet potato corn dog with just the regular beef dog inside. They do have pork as an option. My sister got regular batter but with half a dog and half cheese inside. We got it rolled in sugar too. A good handful of sauce options! Can't remember what I chose but I got two sauces on mine. Lightly flavored which I liked. Overall, the batter and the dog do taste good. Only thing was the batter was THICK. It was flavorful but I prefer the slimmer Korean corn dogs which are easier to eat. My sister also got the banana milk. Interesting. I'm not a huge banana fan but it wasn't bad! Prices were reasonable. Definitely a place I'd recommend trying for anyone who isn't familiar with Korean street food!

When I have an opportunity to get a Korean corn dog... I'm gettin' it!! Myungrang is located in downtown Columbus and is easy to walk to if you're in the Short North area. They have quite a few different options to choose from; One including nacho cheese, which I had not seen before, but was intrigued. I ended up ordering the potato and mozzarella dog, which was just as perfect as I had hoped! (Make sure to get it topped with sugar!) The shop is pretty small and there is nowhere to sit - just a tiny little standing bar area on each side. I wish they would have had a least a couple chairs; If it's super busy you may end up eating outside. Overall, they have great Korean corn dogs, probably the best I've had so far!

My first Korean corn dog experience and it was SO. GOOD. When we arrived, the guy at the counter was on his own during lunch hour. I felt so bad for him but he handled the crowd like a champ. I think we all understood that it'd be a little slow under those circumstances. I ordered a potato beef corn dog with sugar and it was fantastic. The only thing I would change is that it's so much breading. The ratio of beef to breading is unequal but I can overlook it! They had many different options - hot Cheeto covered, half cheese and half dog, sweet potato, etc. They also have a large drink selection. They're off of a Main Street downtown so street parking is the best option and they have counter space where you can stand and eat. 100% would come back if I'm ever in the area again.

I had been wanting to try Korean corndogs for over a year (after they infamously blew up on Tik Tok) so imagine my reaction once I found out about Myungrang! My husband and I stopped in on a date night over the summer. While the Korean corndogs were amazing, we (and other patrons) were absolutely miserable! The location is small, there is no AC, and there are no restrooms/seating. It was busy while we were there so while we were all standing there waiting for our Korean corndogs, we were all wiping the sweat off of our faces with the napkins that were available on the counters. It was extremely hot in there! Now - onto the Korean Corndogs. They're $8/each. I got the mozzarella and potato and my husband got the monster double. We both really enjoyed both corndogs! They were steaming hot and perfect! You can get your corndogs topped with sugar and you can also choose a sauce for dipping. I had my corndog topped with sugar and got a side of cheese mustard sauce. I loved everything about my corndog! It was basically a mozzarella stick covered in french fries and sugar. I know that that may not sound good (or healthy), but it was so good! There were tons of cheese pulls (up until the last bite). The Korean corndogs are very filling - we didn't eat for the rest of the day! Go treat yourself to a Korean corndog!

The DOGS are great. We both tried 2 different kinds and both loved EVERYTHING. We went on a Tuesday evening so not much going on and we were the only patrons inside when we arrived. They have so many sauces to choose from ( they will even let you taste test them all) The only person working looked like a young college or even high school guy that handled everything well and cooked everything PERFECTLY. Even tho the eating area was pretty sticky and needs a routine cleaning more often. It is just a stand up bar with no chairs. If more than 14 people inside it gets a little claustrophobic. They also have oriental beverages. Which I tried the Soon Hari! Pretty tasty and refreshing. I tried the regular one along side a cheesy hotdog in a sweet potato coating. I will return any day now for I having been craving these HOT DOGS.

Korean. Corndogs. Enough said. Whatta interesting hole in the wall place right on High Street. Our friends were begging to go in here and I had a bite of her standard mozzarella corn dog. The flavors!! It's gooey cheese on the inside strings out and it's stuffed inside. The sugar coat on the crispy, crunchy outside balanced and perfectly accompanied the entire thing. Absolutely go and try one!

Holy sh*t. This place is absolute fire. I've had my eye on this space for a minute. It seems like it was almost a year since I first saw the signage on the windows saying Myungrang was coming to the neighborhood. When the moment finally came, it was more than food, it was an entire experience. My boyfriend and I decided to swing by on a busy weekend evening. As we approached we got a little uncertain because of the large amount of people waiting around outside. However, the line to order wasn't long, just the wait to get your dogs. The staff was doing their best to accommodate everyone and they have a TV posted near their menu that shows where your order is in the queue. This was so helpful! We ended up walking up and down High St while we waited. When the time came we were thrilled to get home to chow down. I ordered a sweet potato mozzarella dog, he ordered the original dog, and we shared a mozzarella and cheddar dog. These dogs are huge so we really only needed one each. We just couldn't help but try a third. And we're glad we did. Crispy coating rolled in cinnamon and sugar with a variety of dipping sauces, every bite was a little different. I cannot wait until my next visit. I walk by often and it's hard to resist. I'm so pumped that these Korean hot dogs finally arrived in Columbus. Definitely give them a try!

I've always thought American corndog was done wrong... because I grew up eating Korean street hot dogs, and thought they were the real corn dog. It was confusing, since they call corn dogs "hot dogs" in Korea. I don't think it's made with corn. It is flour batter - not for those with gluten allergies. Don't take these home! Eat 'em on the street or on the way to your car, like everyone is doing outside. Super yum!

I was craving some Korean dogs and I must say the experience was a 1/10 as you can see the area was kind of bland. They were playing some cool kpop which I enjoyed. Walking on th cashier was on her phone the majority of the time. She looked up for a moment and went back to her phone for a few seconds before she greeted us. No conversation or help at all. I looked at the simple menu and got a beef potato hot dog with sugar. Seems as though the hot dog station was already prepped with about 75 hot dogs just exposed in some half cooler which inwas super skeptical about since there was no dinner rush. The cook put 1 glove on and dropped the dog in the fryer and he also went back to his phone leaning on the prep counter elbows forearms and all. A family of 3 came in after us and they must've ordered a specialty dog because I could see some raw dough on their hot dog and he didn't put on any gloves at all for their order. It took about 5 or so minutes for me to get my order. I was pretty hungry so I just ate there standing with no chair or stool I'm sight. Overall the hot dog was tasty. The small potato bits were crunchy and seemed like small cut up French fries which was my favorite part. More than likely I won't be back but more so on the hunt for a better experience.

This was a fun place to try. We had a cheddar cheese dog rolled in sugar, and a mozzarella and potato. Rolling a cheesy hotdog in sugar is weird, but it honestly tasted pretty good. The mozzarella and potato was good, but sort of bland... needed more seasoning or better recommendations for what kind of dipping sauce or something. I would go back though. It was yummy! Consider reading the menu online though. Reading it from the video boards in the restaurant, when they keep changing, is a challenge.

I've been wanting to try Korean hot dogs for so long. Living in Tampa there's a few places but somehow I waited until I made a trip to Ohio to try it for the first time hahaha. We got the potato one with cheese inside and the cashier recommended adding sugar and MY GOODNESS I'm glad I took the recommendation. That was crunchy, cheesy deliciousness. Only reason I took off a star was the server/cashier was not very friendly. I held my smile and thank yous but she was not having a good day or something. There's also no seating. There's just bar-like tables that run along both walls so you either stand and eat or leave.

Finally went and tried Myungrang Hot Dog and I do like it as a snack once in awhile. The shop is simple and have a few standing table for you to eat at the spot. I do recommend to eat it right away and while it is piping hot I got the Potato & Mozzarella Hot Dog with drizzle of ketchup and some parmesan cheese. There is so many texture on the first bite. The crispy and chewy batter with the potato and the melting mozzarella cheese. It is such a evil fried food combo

So yummy! I always get the squid ink corndog with sugar when I come here, and it has never been short of delicious, crispy, and fresh. 1 corndog is filling for me personally, and they are great for a casual meal or late-night/drunk pitstop. There is no seating, but there are counter tables to stand at if you are able to stand and want to eat inside. They aren't cleaned super frequently throughout the day, but I don't really mind since it's not a sit-down restaurant. I highly recommend getting your corndog with sugar and trying out some of the sauces to find what you like!

The sign caught my wife's eye and since we were hungry, it was kind of perfect. Our kids had never been here before and it was a good opportunity to expose them to a great late-night diner with plenty of vegetarian options (our favorite thing about this place) downtown. We each ordered a veggie dog in a different style and we grabbed some sides as well - totchos, fries, and pretzel bites! The kids loved their sides. We are still opening their eyes to different types of foods, so it was a stretch for them to order a veggie dog at a restaurant that had unique toppings! Next time, we'll have them get charred and not steamed. I thought steamed would be the way to go, but I forgot my oldest has become accustomed to veggie dogs on the grill during marching band season. I tried the veggie brat out of curiosity. I could honestly take it or leave it over a charred veggie dog. I like both about equally. Overall, great experience. Our server was great, friendly, and accommmodating, and our food tasted great! I hope we can talk the kids into coming again to try a different combination. It's such a fun place that fits our family vibe.

LOL. You pull up to an older house that's been converted into the restaurant, and it could use some maintenance :) but these are the kinds of places I love to find. Small dining area, maybe 6 tables seating 2-4 people each. It was warm today (Saturday around 1pm) and it was pretty busy both for dine-in/to-go and drive through. Unlike alot of other reviews everyone was incredibly friendly and service was reasonably quick. My onion rings and my son's tenders were HOT so they were fresh. Onion rings were pretty well done, but I like them that way. Others may disagree. I had a coney w/ mustard, chili, onion and it looked pretty unassuming. However, it was a little flavor bomb. I found the chili to be flavorful, and they use the tiny diced onions that were perfect for a coney. I went back for a second one with cheese. They were a little stingy with the coney toppings, but at least is was easy to eat. Maybe a little more cheese would be nice. Like someone said, the chili needs to be hotter, it was luke warm. PB and banana shake was awesome, with real chunks of banana in it. It was a hit with my picky 10yr olds and the price was definitly right for a tasty filling lunch.
