Looking for an authentic Korean restaurant in the Columbus area, I was recommended Min-Ga by a few of my classmates. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, it feels like you are entering your grandma's house. The staff was incredibly nice and was attentive during our meal. Between three people, we shared the Seafood Pancake, Jajangmyeon, and Seafood Tofu Soup. All were delicious and flavorful. I really enjoyed the complimentary banchan that was provided, especially the variety of kimchi. I will definitely come back to try their other dishes!

Still a good option for the Columbus Korean food scene. Portions are good and service is friendly and attentive. I like coming here every time I visit Columbus.

Summer's Coolest Craving: Naengmyeon at @mingakorean When the heat hits, we head straight to our favorite hidden gem--Ming-Ga Korean--for a bowl of naengmyeon that's pure refreshment. This chilled Korean noodle soup has been our summer staple for years, and it never fails to deliver. The noodles are perfectly chewy, swimming in an icy, tangy broth that's both invigorating and comforting. Topped with crisp cucumber, pickled radish, and a slice of tender beef, every bite is a balance of texture and flavor that cools you from the inside out. We've tried nearly everything on the menu, and it's all been consistently delicious--but naengmyeon holds a special place in our hearts. It's not just a dish; it's a ritual, a memory, a moment of calm in the summer rush. If you haven't discovered Min-ga yet, consider this your sign. Go for the naengmyeon, stay for the warmth, and ambiance, leave with a new favorite.

Highlight: Seafood Pancake ($14.95), Steamed Pork Dumpling ($11.95), Steamed Kimchi Dumpling ($11.95), Duk Bok Ki ($12.95), LA Kalbi ($24.95), Kimchi Jige ($13.95), Jap Chae ($13.95), Zazang Myun ($14.95), Naeng Myun ($14.95) The restaurant offers a variety of options, from noodles to soups to other specialty items. All of the items came out hot and steamy. The Zazang Myun tasted more on the peanut buttery side. The Kimchi Jige leaned on the sour taste with firm tofu. The LA Kalbi was on the chewy side but well marinated. Overall, good portions for the price. I enjoyed my meal, but nothing stood out. Hospitality: I like that the food is brought out as it becomes ready, rather than waiting for everything to be done before bringing it out. Honorable Mention: Lots of seating, but a wall separates the restaurant.

Let's get into Min-Ga and their authentic dishes and amazing service! We started things off with the kimchi pancake that had assorted seafood and kimchi. 10/10 I think this is the best kimchi pancake I've ever had, it didn't lack flavor whatsoever. Next up was the LA Kalbi. It was exactly what we expected, delicious beef short rib with an incredible marinade that came out sizzling hot! Hopefully I get to try the Kalbi next which is the same thing but without *bone. We also got Japchae and Yuk Ke Jang (spiciest dish we had, but dipped with rice it was pretty good!) which weren't necessarily my favorite dishes, but I'm glad I tried something new. The best part of the entire meal was the banchan or the side dishes provided. It came with a few different variations of kimchi (cubed radish kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and the standard cabbage kimchi). I also got to try bean sprouts for the first time as well which was interesting. I can't wait to be back and make my way through the menu. The staff was incredibly kind as well.

I've been going to Min-Ga for years and they truly never disappoint! The food is always delicious and authentic, so much so that I think they stand out even against the Korean restaurants I've tried in K-Town in Los Angeles. The ambiance is a typical family vibe which always makes me feel relaxed. No fancy frills, they know they don't need it when their food is this good! Service wise I want to take a minute to talk about impressed I am with them. I usually order takeaway over the phone with them and they have truly never ever missed or messed up an order. I order many different dishes and they always without fail get the order right, package the soups and dry food securely, and even put in extra banchan / side dishes for me to enjoy! Love this place and hope to be able to come eat here for many more years to come!

A friend once told me that you get better ban chan (side dishes) if you speak Korean. Not sure if they can tell that my Korean is bad or not but I got the same ban chan that everyone else got which is still really good haha. Minga is a Korean classic that never disappoints tho. Their seafood pancake is the perfect amount of crispness and fluffiness, with a generous serving to boot. Their kimbap is decent but elevated when dipped in broth and their squid bokum is a must have!

I've been visiting this restaurant since 2008 and my last review is very dated so I wanted to drop back in and say, I still LOVE Min Ga. They have the best Korean menu in the city. When I used to visit Korea, I loved duk mandu guk. I was so happy to see they had it here and I order it almost every time I go to Min Ga. It's so delicious and a perfect cold weather meal. I think I could eat it every day. They provide the best banchan (Korean side dishes). I clean every little tiny plate every time I stop by. The service is friendly and efficient. You rarely have to wait for anything. The space is somewhat small but it doesn't feel cramped, but rather, intimate. Best of all, the prices are very fair. Don't pass this one up!

Today is the first time I came to this restaurant with my mother. I am quite disappointed with this restaurant and the staff. I don't know anyone like me when it comes to seeing employees with unhappy attitudes. I went in and ordered Gopchang bokum (number 37), I asked the staff if I could order it less spicy? I don't know if the staff understood English, but I heard the staff say something but I didn't understand so I asked again and they said the same thing. I think the staff spoke in their own language so I didn't understand and I felt the staff was not happy with me and I felt the staff was even annoyed with me. I don't know if it's because we're all Asian that the staff here don't like Asians. Also the food I ordered today was not good, I ordered hot stone bibimbap (number 40), Gopchang bokum (number 37), Galbi Tang Soup (number 57) and beef Bulgogi (number 23). For me, I found the Hot Stone bibimbap and Galbi Tang Soup to be quite bland and lacking in flavor. As for Gopchang bokum, I feel like it's not washed properly. When I eat it, I feel a little bitter from the beef tripe because my mother said that if it's washed properly, it won't have the bitter taste of the beef tripe. The rest of the food is okay. This is the first and last time I come to this restaurant. I will never come to this restaurant again. The food is not to my taste and the staff has a bad attitude!

If I had to recommend a Korean restaurant for someone new to cbus, I would say Min-Ga. Not only are they generous with their banchan (9???), they are one of the only restaurants I know that serve soondae  swoondae The quality of their dishes is pretty dang decent and I feel like it's a hotspot not only for OSU students but also for plebs. The ladies who run the establishment are very attentive and efficient, and the restaurant is kept very neat and tidy.

Dishonest. Calculated the automatic 20 percent of gratuity based out of subtotal plus the sales tax.

We've been during restaurant week and there was a long wait, and where you just walk right in and get seated. Every part of the experience is well managed. She got screamed at my disgruntled customers (because they were asked to leave after the 2 hours slotted because there was a long wait) and she was so kind to them and just took it. She helps change the grates, and even placed an order for meat for us! The wait staff is also super kind and helpful. Offering recommendations if you don't know what to try, and being super responsive. Our drinks were never empty and the meat was always on our table! The quality of meat/seafood is very good. We've tried the marinated chicken (spicy and not), the beef and pork bulgogi, both were very good. We've had the brisket, the pork belly, the calamari (both spicy and not) and it was all so fresh and yummy. The denver steak was a hit and even the marinated shrimp are an amazing option! Everything comes out so fast and so your table will always be full! We have been to Kbbq in a lot of different places (both in ohio and out) and this place is the best out there. whether it's a date night, a family celebration, or just craving an amazing meal- this is your spot.
