    Shrimp Tempura

The restaurant is cozy and clean. The staff is friendly and service is fast. I think it's a bit on the pricy side especially the sushi menu. My husband and I ordered a sashimi boat, and while it was nice and pretty (also all the fish was fresh), it was about $90 for just a few different kinds of sashimi.

Our food came so quickly and was delicious. We got the shrimp and veggie tempura entree, gyoza, and a couple rolls. All very good. Our favorite part was the kind man that brought and cute little peeled orange in the shape of a bear for our four year old. So lovely!

I come here just about every week for some of the best sushi on the planet! The presentation, quality, quantity, and taste is outstanding! Highly recommended!

It is a quaint Japanese restaurant located in a strip mall. Cozy and friendly with plenty of natural light - the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food was very good - nice selection of dishes with healthy portions. They do accept reservations - the restaurant is small, so large parties should check on availability. If I lived in Columbus I would be a regular. Food quality is high, and value is high - always a great combination!

This was a weird sushi experience. Although the service was great, the food was pretty disappointing. When the best thing you had at a sushi place was the veggie tempura, it is not a good sign IMO. Perhaps we caught the sushi chef on an "off" day, but my order was the sloppiest looking plate of sushi I have ever seen. I almost started laughing when it came out. The rolls were falling apart and there was a massive heap of tuna just sitting on top. No decorations on the plate...nothing. Not very appetizing. I have seen pictures of the sushi here in other reviews...it looked nothing like them. Taste of food and atmosphere were also nothing special. Definitely a one time outing for me.

My friends and I decided to eat at Sushi En, mainly because the wait over at Kura was going to be over an hour Saturday night. We were greeted and seated right away. The setting was nicer than at Kura because it resembled a more traditional restaurant. Our waitress was nice and very patient as we reviewed the menu. The menu items were all typical and really nothing really unique. We decided on bulgogi, spicy chicken ramen, shrimp & veggie tempura, a shrimp California and spicy tuna roll. Everything came out quickly, which we really appreciated since we were so hungry, & the presentation was beautiful. There's nothing bad I can say about the food - it all tasted good! I do have to say that I think it's a bit pricey for the portion size and ingredients, but that's the economy these days. We left very full and satisfied. It's not a place I would seek out, but if you are at the movies or mall and want reliably good Japanese food with a nicer atmosphere than the food court, this might be just the place for you.

This was my favorite sushi spot... but I haven't been here much since I moved to Cincy... I decided to come back here for their sushi today. And I'm so disappointed at their service. I was completely ignored! Sat here for 20 minutes, and no one came to take my order or even asked what I would like to drink. Everyone that came in after I did got their drinks order taken and received the minute they sat down! The table next to us was checked on 3 times while I was sitting here waiting for anyone to come... tbh, I'm not even subtle when I said I was waiting. I was watching each server, following them with my eyes, and still no one paid attention to me.... no one... it's like I don't exist... Don't get me wrong. I still love their sushi. Still as fresh as I remember. Love their thick sashimi cuts. But really... they got to do something about that service. I totally get it if it's busy and they can't attend to everyone. But to be ignored when everyone else even the 5 party that came after us were attended to... that's another level right there. I was so close to just walking out

Diverted our route to have some sushi- and this didn't disappoint! The "all in one" roll had super fresh fish and THE BEST seaweed paper I've ever had- and I'm sure all the rolls did too, but once I tasted it my brain was transported. The plating was spectacular, and even the damn ginger was incredible. Excellent service as well. Go! go!

Second time here since Kura the revolving sushi is still so hyped and hard to get in line this place is awesome! Sushi and sashimi's are always FRESH and portioned generously! Service is fast and friendly. This place never disappoints, and I love that its right next to a boba place as well. I can get my sushi and boba fix at the same time. Happy tummy

This is my first time back here in a while. Since Covid, I have only done the carry out in that time and missed eating inside where the Sushi Chef's inside loved their blues music. Today, I got to sit inside and enjoy their fresh cuisine. We ordered so many different items, spicy shrimp rolls (California roll without the avocado because Avocado = yuck), Bulgoki (a Korean dish which tastes like a stir fry version of the best beef stew you've ever had. Pretty much the Bulgoki (bull-go-key) is a bed of stir fried carrots, onion, zucchini, broccoli with a delicious beef broth that adds flavor to thinly sliced pieces of beef on top with a very mild pepper in it. It was pretty good and something I recommend for those who love a heartier meal in the cool weather. I went with my usual go-to of the spicy shrimp California rolls, without the avocado which makes them spicy shrimp rolls, but if you want the spicy sauce on top you have to say California rolls and then whatever you don't want. Unless unlike myself, you actually believe an avocado tastes like food? I ordered 3 orders of it which equates to 18 rolls or 3 hand rolls. Garnished with a spicy green wasabi paste (fresher than the paste on the premade sushi stand at the grocery stores) and pickled ginger slices to cleans your palate after the meal, I love these rolls. Probably the simplest to make in comparison to an entire page of sushi (prepared cooked meat) or a choice of sashimi (raw food) I have never been terribly brave enough to venture beyond what I know. But if you want to get crazy, you can definitely find some great sushi/sashimi options. I like to dip my sushi rolls in the Katsu sauce. It is part of the Chicken Katsu dish but you can order the sauce for dipping with whatever your heart is content with. The chicken Katsu is another favorite as it is planks of thin panko crusted and lightly fried chicken breast meat and you can dip it in the Katsu sauce which I can only explain as a slightly smoky savory robust sauce with a weird non-citrus tasting A1-type flavor ans soy sauce mixed with possibly a hint of Worcestershire sauce and something a bit sweet. It is so good on the chicken and even the sushi rolls go well with it. We also had two side salads which was the house side salad of iceberg lettuce and carrots with a delicious light ginger dressing and the cucumber salad which is thinly sliced cucumber in a very tart vinaigrette dressing that makes the cucumber taste a bit sweet like homemade relish almost. It was my least favorite as I don't like sweet cucumber or relish flavor. And the beverages are served from cans in a cooler. No worries about mystery flavors from a barely cleaned beverage machine with dirty fountain nozzles. This may also increase the price if you want more than a single soda. I have easily spent $30-$40 in my younger days destroying my wallet to order sushi. This meal, with all but the chicken Katsu totaled $50 before the 20% tip. It was more than enough for two people to eat and given the quantity I think a small third person would have easily fit into this price range for not much more. I love the look of this place. Always have. I find the design aesthetic to look like the sushi bars in Japan. Before COVID every time I have gone in the Korean chefs had their old school blues music playing because those guys loved their blues music. Today was a bit different as Spanish and American pop music. But this isn't a party atmosphere typically as even when I have been in here during the dinner rush, it has never been loud. There is also a small party room in the back for more private dining events. The servers are always friendly. This has always been my absolutely favorite sushi place

This place has a great happy hour and a good local spot for sushi. I've also tried their chicken yaki soba but didn't care for that as it was very bland. Service has been good each time i've visited. Overall everything about this place is just quick and easy!

Given that it's technically in a strip mall, my expectations weren't very high but I was quickly transported and impressed. I've been to quite a few Omakase dinners that left more to be desired and this was not the case here. The dinner here was on par with some I've had in NYC. We opted to add on the premium course which I would recommend highly. The wagyu was absolutely incredible. The courses were timed well and I felt extremely satisfied. One thing to note is that they do not sell wine by the glass. You'll want to order a bottle or do the pairing. We did not do the pairing since my husband had to drive, but coming back I would definitely add that. For the premium omakase, a bottle of wine, and one additional piece of nigiri each, our dinner for two ran around $440 before tip.

Classy inside, nice seating options, quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service throughout. Large sushi menu, plus hot entrees, many apps, etc. A lot I wanted to try. But I had to start with the crab Rangoon tarts. Never seen it this way. Three fairly small tartlets, nice crust, with a dollop of "Rangoon" filling. Could have used more in each tart, but tasty enough. The sauce is a little zippier than most for crab Rangoon. Good, different, not amazing. And that pretty much describes the rest of the meal. Were my expectations too high? Nothing was bad, everything was pretty good, but not amazing. I had the Red Scorpion roll next. Mid-sized, a nice roll of kani, tuna, avocado, and more, topped with several sauces. Barely fit each piece in my mouth. Tasty, but again not amazing. Not what I expected from a place like this with reviews this high. A little heat, far from the spicy suggested by the name and reviews. Also had unagi and toro nigiri. Again, good, not great. Neither was as tender as I'd hoped, though decent all in all. Flavors were good on the unagi, and the toro was somewhat buttery/creamy but not on par with others I've had. Hmph. Cost was not bad, considering the decor of the place and that it's sushi. I left full but not overstuffed. I'd come back, maybe for a date night.
