Solid KBBQ spot! Food is excellent. Service depends on who you get. Overall, only place we go to for Korean BBQ.

just went here for the first time for a friends birthday. i've never been to kbq but been wanting to go since i love korean food and go to other korean restaurants. the food was amazing, we got combo A since it sounded the best. It was way enough to share between 4 people and the cost was pretty good. it was about $85 total. we also got the fried dumplings and they were amazing. next time i go i want to try the bulgogi and maybe fried rice but i really like everything i had. the service was great. they weren't too busy when we can so the atmosphere was calm and nice to where i could peacefully eat and enjoy myself. our burner kept going off so the waiter had to keep coming over and helping so we felt bad but he was very apologetic and didn't mind helping. he also kept asking if we wanted anything else to eat so that was nice. definitely can't wait to come back.

I LOVE Korean food so I was looking forward to the bulgogi bento box. The bulgogi dry unless it was at the bottom. It tasted like sliced dry meat that was added to sugar water. Not like any bulgogi I've ever tasted. FLAVORLESS!! The calamari was great. The largest I've ever had fried but no flavor to it. The tartar sauce packages were awful. Although I'm sure they weren't old, they sure tasted like it. Almost like a watered down tarter. I definitely won't order from them again! I'm giving it a two because of portion sizes; if not for that it would be 0.

A very good Korean BBQ experience. We definitely over-ordered for two people. We got two meats to grill + japchae as an appetizer, and the portions were abundant. Nothing wrong with having leftovers, though... The BBQ-ing experience was quick, easy and neat. The bulgogi was the definite star, and the banchan sides + sauces took it to even greater heights. We probably could have done without the marinated short rib. The bone-in composition was less-preferred in hindsight. But if you like the dish in general, you'll like GOGI's version. The japchae was solid. The miso soup with tofu wasn't much to discuss. The steamed egg was good and enhanced the other meats when combined. Special shout out to our server who answered our questions and kindly gave my wife a Tempura Ice Cream after we mentioned that it was my wife's birthday. That was very unexpected but appreciated. And by the way, that fried ice cream was pretty darn good and substantial in its own right.

Food is delicious. I've been here twice. All of the extras taste so fresh. Love it here! The restaurant is upbeat with K-pop music videos and music. Service was extremely attentive. Constantly coming by to ask if we would like the grill changed out or needed anything else. Combo A is $80 and was a little too much for 2 people but we pushed through. Could definitely be eaten by 3.

Guys I finally tried the kbbq anc it was lovely. I stopped for lunch during a weekday so it wasnt too busy (it gets HELLA packed Friday nights my god) and did the bbq by myself. They had no issue with that and didn't require a minimum order. I got the bulgogi and the galbi and just yes. Great place, decent banchan and chill staff - definitely stop by!

Me and my friends went here for Restaurant Week. Me and my boyfriend have never had Korean BBQ before so we were pretty excited but our friends who went with have been there numerous times. They were the experts! The staff was a great, very welcoming and kind. We ordered the Fried Dumplings as our appetizer and it was crispy and had great flavor! The star of the show was the Beef Bulgogi, had amazing flavor and giving my friend the props he grilled it to perfection - it was so tender! The banchan sides were also amazing sidekicks, the kimchi and pickled radish. Can't wait to come here again! Great service, very kind staff!

Contrary to what is posted on their website, they do not do reservations for any size groups, regardless of the night of the week.

Their website says they offer gluten-free options and that you can call to make large group reservations. I called and was told they have no gluten free options and they do not accept reservations, regardless of the size of the group. We were hoping to make a Thursday evening reservation for 11 people. They should update their website if they aren't going to offer gluten-free options or except reservations.

Food is good but maybe the worst service possible. Tried it twice and still couldn't manage to get waters under 30 minutes.

Ask the Community - GOGI Korean BBQ

Is the restaurant all you can eat?

    No.

Why do they advertise on their website that they have gluten free options but the employees tell me they don't offer anything gluten free?

Actually there are many gluten free options. Anything that is not marinated is gluten free. Combo A and combo B are both entirely gluten free options.

I seen you can't reserve a table on weekends but it was posted last yr, is it still the same?

When we visited you could not make reservations

    Is the meat Halal?

No, they do not have halal meat. Would be great to offer

Are there any gluten free options?

Contrary to what is posted on their website, they do not. I asked what their gluten free options are and was told "nothing on the menu is gluten free".

    Can you make a reservation?

Yes. Reservations are available on weekdays. Unfortunately, we cannot reserve tables on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

What are their hours on Sunday?

At their location now. I can confirm that it is 11:30am-12am. They stop taking food orders at 11:15 pm.

Thank you for bringing me back home when I'd sit on the floor at my mother's third oldest brother's house... mom had eight brothers and sisters and the oldest was as old as her father could be... almost 20-30 years older, actually...she was pretty lonely with no close-in-age sibling around... It was my first visit to Korea and have not been back. But it brings me back. 해물 순두부찌개 (Spicy soft tofu stew with seafood Haemul sundubu-jjigae)...it has the dashi-approach around the fringe of its flavor profile... dimensions! This week was the week I was supposed to get married but my ex Fiance backed out of the whole proposition all together... before you ask. Yes. "Marriage" was actually his idea... me? Well. But please... father I have failed you for 20 years, please I need you to to guide my sword and I cannot do it alone. It's the broth. Before anyone says "high prices for non premium ingredients"... I say hold on... it comes down to: labor and love. Korean cooking is not just ingredients alone. It is the salt. It is the hand kneading, flavor, and marrying of such (pun). There is more than a spirit in the cooking. More than just the soul. But emotion. Maybe Koreans feel this in our blood. Google the word "Han" and maybe you'll get just a drop of taste on the tongue to taste and see. This is a one woman show. Plus her kitchen staff or just one helper in the whole restaurant. Please come here ready to put patience to action and feel full and whole from doing so. Your good deed of the day. I would come here for comfort. Because I missed something I could not explain... or define... or I'd come here in time of overt failure. Auntie said hi to me. She asked if - I was Korean - saying I must be. We never were truly accepted. Even just visiting the first time in 22 years in Korea. If you don't see family for 22 years... I suppose ... you couldn't easily accept me either? Maybe she saw the Satori. Maybe she saw some Cheju. Maybe she saw some of Gramma. You know most people would turn away but you count on the hope that there will be that -one- who will read it, and stay. So yes, you.. dear one. I am so glad you heard about it... P.s. The Yuk-Gae Jiang has real bone broth. Like Cow knuckle, dude. It solidifies into one pure block of collagen when you fridge the takeout into the next day. ::mic drop::

The Korean food is measured by "Ban-chan," the side dishes that come with the main menus. To prepare such side dishes is not easy. But, to prepare with original tastes only found in side streets of Korea, it takes years of cooking skills and holistic use of fresh varieties of vegetables with traditional touch of flavors. So, to find the restaurant Silla, tucked in the alley of shopping center near Marc's by Henderson and Reed road, does brings nostalgia as you walk toward the entrance. The service is important part of our culture. The lady who serves is so kind with a genuine smile. Even when she is serving so many customers, she manages to bring smile to those who she serves. Her kindness rubs off onto her customers - at first I was not used to her being so kind - but she has a way for opening up her sincerity. My wife and I am now a regular customer at Silla. Sometimes my food may come out late, but I come to enjoy the energy and vibe by many young college students, and savor the food as it is prepared the way it should be. As a Korean American, I am so thankful to have Silla in the heart of Columbus.
