    Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice

I doordashed this to my hotel, so I wasn't expecting the food to be super fresh. However, the sesame chicken was still pretty crispy and hot, with lots of sauce. I know I didn't order the veggie plate, but I was expecting more than just four pieces of broccoli. The fried rice was good. The crab rangoons were delicious and they tasted like they just came out from the fryer despite me eating them 30+ minutes after they were made. The tiramisu was so fluffy and light, not overly sweet and I really enjoyed it!

The greeter and the waitress were nice, the place was clean and the service was good but I was disappointed with my food. I ordered tofu pad thai - they call it pai thai - which was shown on the menu with a chili pepper which means hot and spicy. The waitress checked to make sure I wanted it hot and spicy. I said yes. When it arrived, it was neither hot nor spicy. In fact, it wasn't even tangy as most pad thai is. It was just sweet! Eww. The waitress did bring me hot chili oil to add to it which I appreciated but why should I have to do that? Especially after the checking? It also had no bean sprouts which I think is the only time I've ever ordered pad thai and it came with no sprouts. My friend was satisfied with her egg foo yung.

The first thing I noticed walking into Lei's is it is very clean, organized and the are playing soft, peaceful music. I ordered lunch cashew chicken and my mom ordered Pork Egg Foo Young. Most restaurants don't even make egg foo young anymore because it is labor intensive. My meal came quickly but the egg foo young took awhile. Good things take time! When it came out, it was super fresh, hot and fluffy. I'd never seen it so fluffy before and the owner said that's the sign of freshly made egg foo young. They are also very friendly and accommodating here so I'm sure you'll love it.

We were seated immediately after a short wait the waitress took our drink order. The waitress gave us a sufficient time to peruse the menu. The waitress took our order and we were served our food pretty quickly. The waitress was attentive and made sure that our waters were replenished. The food was good and the service was wonderful. It seemed that they had several regulars, I feel that was a positive.

Good service; she was busy with a couple other diners and constant carryout orders but kept up on my items and drink refills. I tried the agedashi tofu, perhaps the best version I've had. Big squares, crispy and flavorful on the outside, silky and mild (and hot!) on the inside. Served with a tangy sauce that nicely balanced the tofu. I got the gonchu beef rice pot as my entree. Several other things interested me, and my standard for a first visit is Mongolian beef so I can compare methods, but rice pots seem to be their specialty and this looked good. Tender lean beef, marinated in a slightly sweet sauce, with green beans over rice in a metal kettle with lid. Sort of like bibimbap but the kettle/bowl is not searingly hot. Very tasty. I was stuffed between the two. Oh, and a spring roll comes with the bowl, also pretty good. Fast. Flavorful. Convenient. I'd definitely come back.

Great Asian Restaurant? I was pleased with Mark K and my first visit. It's in a small strip mall, but It's a lot nicer than what you would normally expect to find.. Mark got: Southern Style Egg Rolls - Very Tex-Mex. Good, filling, and not too spicy. Beef Pad Thai - Decent, but not mind-blowing. Could use more scrambled eggs and bean sprouts. I got: Hot And Sour Soup - Quite good with a nice smokey flavor. General Tso's Chicken - It's as good as it gets, folks, meaning it's a rival to my favorite at China Bell in Grove City. The sauce is excellent! The chunks of white chicken meat are just lightly breaded enough to hold the sauce but not overpower the dish. I'd say it's a 95% chicken to 5% breading ratio. And they still serve it with broccoli. Outstanding! I'd go back again to do some more exploring in a heartbeat. Like I said, 5 stars.

I'll start with what was good: the Mei fun, takoyaki, and the (delicious) egg roll. What lacked for me were the soups and the sesame chicken. I can see many people loving the sesame chicken, but I like mine drenched in sauce, and this felt like a healthier version with a glazed grilled chicken taste. I am also not the biggest fan of Asian soups but I always try them in case I find one that changes my mind. People may love the soups as well.

The chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the bowl was loaded with fresh ingredients including edamame, cabbage, and vegetables that added great color, texture, and crunch. A special shout-out to Eli, who provided excellent service and added a fun touch to the experience by bringing me a to-go container for the one lone grain of rice I had left. But this time I went, a short old guy, I placed my to go order, paid. I asked may I have some hot oil sauce on the side, his face look like I'm asking him for his kidney. I'm like is there a charge? He said yes. But we can put it onto the noodle I ordered for free. What??? What's the different you put it on the side or put it into the noodle? I'm like no. I mean most Chinese restaurants will give it to you free of charge, I'm not asking for a whole bucket, is tiny little cup, I know all Chinese restaurants have it, they use if on some of the dishes. But charge me for it? Hell no He can easily say we charge for it, but I give it to you this time, next time we charge with a smile, I'm happy to accept that. Not that I'm being cheap, is the way he sigh and give me the look, like MF how much this shit cost? Seriously? Just because of that attitude, I won't be back, he should stay in the kitchen and not out front face the customers, he clearly got no customers service skills
