I have been coming here since they opened about 20 years ago. Today was with a lunch group of 20 people. The 2 servers were amazing. These ladies gave the best service I have ever experienced at Chi Thai. They were friendly, efficient and we never had to ask for anything. No one had any issues with their order. The food came out in a very timely manner served hot. Although our group leader had told Chi Thai when they made reservations that we would need separate checks but the servers didn't seem to know. I ordered the Singapore Noodles with shrimp and pork, and I was pleasantly surprised. The curry flavor was mellow but flavorful, the shrimp portion was generous, and the thin-sliced pork added just enough richness. Veggies had a good bite -- not overcooked -- which gave the dish nice contrast. This was one of those meals that made me glad I tried something new. I'd order it again -- and I'm even curious to try this same dish elsewhere now just to compare. Didn't personally try the appetizers, but the table had the crab Rangoon and spring rolls. I heard: "not bad, not memorable." That said -- they did show up hot (even the plate), which is always a good sign. The sweet & sour sauce wasn't a hit -- too sweet, and we've had better elsewhere. The vibe is calm, clean, and casual -- white tablecloths, warm lighting, and a fully stocked bar. They've also got a wall of awards and team plaques near the entrance that shows they've been part of the community for a while. This review is for their takeout, which was really excellent quality. I ordered some of their more standard Chinese dishes (though the menu is extensive and features a variety of Asian recipes from various countries and regions): I went for the crispy, orange chicken, beef lo mein, and crab Rangoon. Portions were great: substantial and perfect for sharing and having leftovers. Prices were also totally reasonable. The quality was pretty outstanding for takeout: generally well seasoned and flavored (the crispy chicken was especially good with its citrusy sauce), not at all greasy like some takeout. We tried this restaurant for the very first time on a recommendation from a friend. I started with the wonton soup and it was very flavorful. My husband had the Tom Yum soup which he enjoyed. I am always in pursuit of chicken satay so that is what I ordered. The cucumber relish was amazing! The peanut butter sauce had a bit of heat but was very good. The chicken was listed on the menu as grilled but I didn't see any grilled marks on it at all. I would almost guess that it was deep fried although I am not certain. My husband enjoyed his Spicy Happy Family dish and the lunch sized portion was perfect. The restaurant was very clean. The waitress was attentive to our needs. We recently visited abd decided to have another go at it. My husband is not a big fan of chinese food but he really enjoyed their General Tsos, so it was a no brainer that we go again!We made reservations for 8 at 5pm in Saturday, they werent too busy afterall. The food did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and hot. The pork dumplings were very good and I tried the chicken and broccoli this time. A little heavy on the soy but good flavor overall. Everyone enjoyed their meal. A little pricey but worth it for quality food. It's a nice, quiet atmosphere, dim lighting and clean. We wil definitely visit again to try more dishes. read more

First time visitors and we loved it! Always on the lookout for a good Thai spot. Like several other reviews said, restaurant is very nice on the inside. We ordered the shrimp as an app and loved them, they were good sized and served very hot. For dinner, had the Thai Basil Chicken. Generous portion with plenty of meat, great if you want leftovers. I liked the food! It was really good and hope to dine here again someday. There was plenty of parking, and the inside was nicely decorated, clean, and inviting. My partner and I joined a group of friends and acquaintances for dinner and this was such a nice choice. We sat in the back and were part of a group of 17 or so. Our group was so large that we had two servers which I think was an awesome decision on the restaurants in terms or ordering and managing checks. I do have to say that the service was not comparable from one end of the table to the other. For the lower end (my side) slow on refills, waiting to place the order, being attended too and not being checked in with how the meal was going or if it was ok, and getting the check were some of the issues. We seriously waited while one end had wrapped up, had boxes to go, and closed out their check and we were still waiting. We hardly saw our server but they did good and it the dinner rush got busy so going to cut the guy some slack. Every other aspect was perfect. We started off with the Thai Dumplings ($9.95) and a Crispy Spring Egg Roll ($2.25) with some diet cokes ($2.50). The dumplings were delicious and so was the egg roll. We had to share sauces for the egg roll but it was ok we share well and it was great company. For Dinner - my partner got the Chi Thai Combination with brown rice ($17.95). That dish consisted of beef, chicken, jumbo shrimp, mushrooms, carrots, baby corn, snow peas in a rich brown sauce. I went with the General Tso Chicken with fried rice ($17.95). The General Tso's had the deep-fried chicken glazed in a sauce with dried hot peppers. All the sauces tasted slightly different, richer in flavor, than what I am used to but was so good and going with saying it was more of an homemade flare. Everyone agreed, though the food here was excellent, being flavorful and of a very high quality. Now, I had been craving Mu Shu for months and finally got to try some of the best Cbus has to offer. I also got their Hot and Sour Soup, which was rich and hearty. As far as everyone else? Everyone got something different, and I heard nothing but praise from our group about all their various dinners. There was a very nice touch that I have to mention... OMG. Stopped in for dinner with a group of about 20 people and had a wonderful experience. We all sat at one long table. The staff took the time to greet us and then took our drink order. Some of us ordered beer while others ordered a bottle of wine from a nice wine list, cocktail, and sodas. Staff also ensured we had plenty of water throughout dinner. Believe it or not, we all received our meals at the same time. The food was hot for all of us and delicious. We all ordered different things and each of us enjoyed our meals. (There are also a lunch and dinners menus. The lunch price is slightly lower and service is till 3PM.) All I can say about staff and the service is...WOW. They were spot on and very pleasant. They made sure each of us had everything we needed throughout our visit. Staff even gave the kids at our table a toy after dinner service that they loved. On our way out, the owner even stopped us to make sure we were happy. I will definitely be back in the future and look forward to my visit. read more

For the second Christmas Eve in a row, we placed an order for a specific pickup time... and for the second year in a row, it wasn't ready when we arrived. Last year we assumed it was a fluke. Turns out it's their normal operating procedure. We watched one customer finally get his food at 6 p.m. for an order he was told would be ready at 5. Our own order was placed at 1 p.m., yet it still took over an hour past our scheduled pickup time to receive it. If they can't handle the holiday volume, they need to turn off online ordering instead of leaving customers standing around year after year. This is incredibly disappointing and completely avoidable. Wont happen again next year because we will be going somewhere else. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I must give a five star to this restaurant. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed everything we had on Christmas Eve. We had a reservation for 6 PM with our family who are visiting out of town. When we arrived, the place was packed full of people waiting to be seated and picking up their food. The hostess was very friendly and was able to give us a reasonable wait time. We were seated at our promised wait time. I understand we don't always get to be seated at our reservation time on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Seeing how hard they work to accommodate their customers, I felt so bad for the staff being yelled at. A lady kept shouting at the hostess that she had a reservation at six with a large group of people and demanded to be seated first. Regardless that the hostess was kind and told her that she would be seated, even though she couldn't find a reservation that lady kept shouting at the hostess. How rude! Join the club of the 6 o'clock reservation with the rest of us. She also kept saying she is going to be brutal and gave one star review on yelp and Google and all that to destroy their business. Even so, the hostess seated them in the end right after she seated us. Come on people! I worked in Service when I was younger and understand how hard it is to manage on Christmas Eve. This restaurant actually seated their reservations with a tat of waiting time. I am writing this 5 star review so their staffs hard work is recognized. And the food was hot and wonderful. read more

It's likely the best Chinese food I had in a long time. The restaurant was well decorated and has good vibes. I was very impressed with how well the place was run on a Christmas Eve! We only had to wait for half an hour past our reservation time. We were seated before 7pm with a 6:30 reservation, which never happened on a Christmas Eve reservation anywhere else! Impressed! I had no idea how nice their dining room is, as I have only had carryout/delivery. I like their menu selections, and we've had good customer service. Chi Thai is a family and friend favorite. Has been for over 20 years. During that whole time it has remained under consistent and quality management. My father claims they have the best hot and sour soup. Ever. He tries it wherever he can and no one compares. We all have tried a number of their dishes and it has pretty much never let us down. Their portions and pricing are friendly, and the staff are wonderful. We typically order take out as we live close by, but the inside of the restaurant is lovely as well. Chi Thai is a really delicious spot I've discovered recently! Their sesame chicken in particular has great flavor and I love how small and crispy the pieces of meat are. One meal can certainly be shared between two people, just get an extra side of rice. One thing I've tried here that I didn't like was their wonton soup, the broth was lacking flavor.
