For couple of times, I actually got this restaurant and the one down the street mixed up, I think the one down the street call Tokyo Buffet or something like that, that one I tried and is not good, this one here is much better, even tho is not a buffet. I tried the General Taos Chicken, it was delicious. Place is very clean, I went there around 4pm, the parking lot was empty, plenty of parking space, I bet this place get busy for dinner time. Good selection of the Japanese dishes, server that actually speak good English, not to be racist or anything, Im Asian myself, but I found that many Asian restaurants hire their relatives or their neighbors, that hardly speak English or with an attitude. Came by for lunch. Loved the food, we got their lunch special(so worth the $!) we had the tofu with ginger soy sauce & chicken green curry. Both came with salad/miso soup and white/brown rice. We ate it so fast, both dishes were flavourful. Loved the tofu, it was fried to perfection! Service was good and quick. It was the best I've ever had. There were plenty of wontons and they were LOADED with deliciousness. California Roll came next. Fresh and absolutely delicious. I've been to the other locations, so I knew this would be good, but it's a bit out of my way. Stopped in today, right when they opened. I've had their entrées mainly, so I thought I'd try some sushi. Started out with the Fantasy Island, which is pretty much a deconstructed crab Rangoon. Tempura crab around a center of cream cheese, with sauces and scallions on top. Amazing. Perfect blend of flavors and textures. Tiny bit of heat at the end. Very nice appetizer. Then I had the super scallop roll, and the sweetheart roll. I was a little embarrassed by the sweetheart roll, with pink wrapping and arranged as hearts, and even served with a small flower display. But I liked the description, and I like crab but have never had crab tempura, so I had to try it. Again, excellent. Beautifully plated. A great combination of different flavors and textures. The crab tempura was kind of hidden with everything else going on, but it was very tender and tasty. The rolls held together well. The scallop rolls were a bit more messy. Scallops and I don't know what all in the roll, with tiny, tender baked scallops in a creamy sauce on top. Ended up using the fork to pick up some scallops that fell off the top, and some of the sauce. Again, well made, and a nice combination of flavors. Service was great. It's expensive, but it's sushi, and for what I got it was well worth it for the quality and quality. I'll be back, to all of the locations eventually. read more

We had a fantastic time at Wild Ginger for my stepmom's birthday. I believe there are no reservations, but we were able to get in right away. My stepmom was online looking for the best Pad Thai for her birthday and Wild Ginger was the suggestion. She is not very into spice and they were able to customize the order without spice or onions. They even put the peanuts on the side in case of any allergies. The Pad Thai was very good and I recommend it. we also shared a sushi roll which was fantastic as well. The reason my review is not five stars is because of the service, the waiters were a little all over. There was also a weird comment about birthday dessert and how only the owner would give it if we were regulars. It was just a little weird and I don't know if it has to do with the waiter or staff itself. Giving three stars because the service was really good, but man I was disappointed by the food - which I would give a 2.5. The reviews were so good so I arrived with a full appetite and sadly still left hungry. The positive - the wonton soup was excellent! Definitely the best I've ever had. Everything else left much to be desired. I also ordered the spring rolls and teriyaki chicken with fried rice. The spring rolls were good at first bite but there was a strange aftertaste we couldn't pinpoint. Still not entirely sure if it was the actual spring roll or the sauce with the aftertaste. The teriyaki chicken was so bland. It looked absolutely delicious so it was disappointing to realize there was no flavor. My cousin ordered the general tsos chicken and shared the same sentiments about her chicken tasting bland. I agreed upon trying as well. The fried rice also didn't seem fried? It actually just tasted like it was covered in butter but was definitely missing the soy sauce. And the mixed vegetables tasted freezer burnt. Stopped in for Sunday lunch - it was delicious! A large space with plenty of tables for groups of all sizes - it's casual but very clean. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. And our food was great! I got the sesame chicken with white rice and the salad. I really appreciated the all white meat chicken - it was moist but the outside was crispy and not overly breaded. My girl and I stopped here Christmas Day (very few places were open) and I'm upset with myself for not trying this place sooner. I live a mile away and drive by here a thousand times. I was in "EAT EVERYTHING" mode so we ordered the Fried Gyoza, Salt n Pepper Calamari (amazing!!), Beef Yaki Udon and she had the Asian Grilled Chicken Wild Ginger. The Gyoza was cooked perfectly and dipping sauce exactly as I like, little sweet and salty. I have a shellfish allergy but Calamari doesn't bother me and I love the Salt n Pepper flavors. Huge pieces of squid fried in a batter that literally had me addicted at first bite. The diced onions and green pepper on top added to the eye as well as the taste. Definitely my favorite. My beef Udon noodles had a nice brown sauce and tender pieces of beef. Again just perfect. Her Asian Grilled Chicken with Thai Curry...now I wish I had gotten it!! Flavor TOWN. Amazing with brown rice. I finished mine and the rest of hers lol. So today is Wednesday and I finished working early, so I wanted to stop by again. I'm a huge fan of this place. My coworkers and I have been coming here for lunch for years. The service is prompt and they get you in and out over the lunch hour. I love the specials, which are a combo that comes with different sauces, proteins, rice, and soup or salad. I've also brought my husband a few times and branched out to the sushi and had an amazing chirashi bowl that was more like a work of art on a platter. One word: YUM! I visited this restaurant recently with friends and really loved everything I tasted. I was able to sample several different rolls because everyone ordered something different (though I don't remember what each one was because I didn't order them). Every bite I tried was excellent. Great flavors, beautiful presentation, and lots of variety on their menu. It's a nice place and a little on the pricier side, but if you go into it expecting that, they definitely deliver. Service was a definitely a bit slow and they weren't that busy, but it was worth the wait. I personally ordered tom yum soup, the tuna garden, and a dinosaur egg and polished off every bite. I also tried the wild ginger martini, which was a tad sweet for my tastes, but still good. The dinosaur egg was warm and rich, the tuna garden was fresh and succulent, with a beautiful salad underneath gorgeous slices of tuna, and the tom yum had a delicious broth base with shrimp and baby scallops inside. They have sushi, noodle soup, stir fry dishes and more. I really like the noodle soup option, as you can mix and match on the type of noodle, broth, and the protein. I got the Tom Yum based with rice noodles and shrimp. The Tom Yum broth is super flavorful. And I can see some of the base ingredients that make up the broth, such as galangal. I also tried the Super Scallop roll and Salmon Lover roll. My favorite is the Salmon Lover and it's my first time tasting mango for sushi combination. The mango kinda balance out with the salmon and octopus, along with the yuzu tobiko and spicy mayo. This roll taste very refreshing. We started off with an appetizer of spring rolls first, which were great. Super crisp and very hot! Don't let your impatience get the best of you because these will burn your mouth! My order came with a choice of either a salad or miso soup. I've never had miso soup before, so I wanted to try it out. It was okay, but nothing special. I really liked the bits of green onions though. My sesame chicken came out soon after and boy, was it a big portion!! I immediately knew this would be a two meal entree. The chicken was everything I expected it to be. Yummy! I opted for brown rice because I usually get white rice.
