I would rate 4 stars for the quality. However the quantity is a solid 3 compared to other sushi places around. The servings are very small! The poke bowl we ordered was so small I was blown. The packaging is nice and cute but the portions were literally small. The spicy tuna Inari was a tiny serving it was in a sauce container. The picture on their website was deceiving.

I love this place for a quick bite or if I'm snacky. The service is usually pretty fast & it's very clean in there & never too busy. I think they do a lot of take out business. Haven't tried the ramen yet but I'm hooked on the inari that are stuffed into tofu skin pockets. They're the perfect fresh bite. The original kimbap was good but I'll probably try it w bulgogi next time for more flavor. Their bento boxes are a great deal & a way to get to try so much of what they offer...I would have never guessed I would end up loving the little sausages. Their bubble tea was nothing special & probably won't get it again in comparison to how much better it's at other places. Since gahanna lacks in this department, I might give it a try again if I'm really craving it, but otherwise it's not worth it. I would like to try the sushi soon but for the price on those, I'd probably stop at Mr.Sushi down the street for that particular craving. Overall, I'm so glad we got this fun option in Gahanna & will continue to try more things!

Honestly one of the best sushi spots I've found here in Columbus that's actually affordable and with great portions. Everything is super fresh, the fish was great quality, and even the cream cheese was very fresh. You can tell they do NOT cut corners, and honestly I really appreciate that in a business. Their takeout containers are really good quality, very unique, and thoughtful. I highly recommend this spot!

    Onigiri

Yes Sushi is not advertised enough!! I was recommended to try Yes Sushi from a fellow foodie friend and WOW!!!!! I specifically went for the Onigiri and was blown away by all the other options! All made fresh when you order, Very authentic. I'm so pleased to see this type of restaurant locally . I am really hoping to see this restaurant boom with business. They even have a make your own Ramen station !! Way to go Yes Sushi!

Love that we have somewhere with varieties of inari and kimbap available. The inari were extremely moist and delicious, and the kimbap was satisfying. Their aesthetics are very cute and they have a good variety of instant noodles and beverages to choose from.

I love their onigiri & boba teas. This is the best boba spot in the Gahanna / New Albany area. Staff is friendly as well.

I saw that the place had a couple of bad reviews, but I decided to try it anyway. I'm sure glad I did! I didn't experience any of the complaints that were described in the bad reviews. I found the decor, ambience, and the people working there to all be pleasant. I ordered my usual hibachi meal... filet and chicken combo, fried rice, no vegetables. Of course, it came with soup and salad. The salad was fresh, and it was a nice size portion. The soup was just as expected. The chef appeared shortly and verified the orders of the few of us at the table. He was an older man. He was very skilled at his job. He didn't go overboard with the show part, and the food was cooked perfectly. This was actually among the best hibachi experience I've ever had. Both the filet and the chicken, were a good sized portion, and cooked exactly as requested. I can't say I cleaned my plate, but there wasn't enough left to ask for a to-go box! And that is just how it should be, in my opinion. The price was also very good! Less than I usually pay for similar meals. Honestly, I can't think of one thing that I have a complaint about. That evening, I was talking to my friends that I'm traveling with. I shared my experience with them, and that said "Okay, that's it. We're having hibachi for dinner!" All I can say is that, maybe the few bad reviews prompted a change, or maybe there was something else. But I'm happy that I gave Sakura a chance. They earned this review, by giving me a great lunch experience.

We spent $230 (w/ tip) and it was worth every penny. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the city. We passed by this place multiple times on our way elsewhere. We're Mario fans, so the name Yoshi caught our eye, but the cramped strip mall exterior doesn't exactly scream culinary dream. We decided to take a chance, and let me just say--wow. It's an intimate space with just a few tables and an 8-10 seat sushi bar. We didn't have reservations (make one, they fill up fast) but managed to snag seats at the bar. The service immediately stood out. We had better attention here than at some upscale steakhouses--glasses never went empty, and their menu suggestions were spot on. One minor heads-up: at the sushi bar, staff sometimes walk behind you to talk to the chefs, which can be a bit distracting. For starters, we grabbed the gyoza and asked for a standout small plate. They pointed us to the beef tongue. It arrived hot with shredded onions and spicy mustard, delivering a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a deep, beefy richness. The gyoza was equally flawless. Instead of the overly chewy or burnt wrappers you find at most spots, these had a delicate, golden-brown sear with an intensely savory, garlicky umami filling. We paired this with Sayuri sake, a creamy, unfiltered pour that perfectly balanced sweetness with a dry, clean finish. Since we love nigiri, we ordered a spread: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, sweet shrimp, and Japanese scallop, plus a salmon/avocado roll. The cuts were impeccably sourced and practically dissolved on the tongue. You rarely find this level of consistency. Just a heads up--they prepare it the traditional way, meaning there is a dab of wasabi tucked directly under the fish. We also tried the Wagyu A-5 roll. It's about as "meat and potatoes" as a roll can get: steak, carrots, asparagus, and rice. The seared Wagyu fat melted instantly, creating a decadent, buttery glaze over the crisp vegetables. It's one of those rare foods that genuinely forces you to pause after each bite. At $40, it was 100% worth it. I can't say enough about this experience. Next time, we're leveling up to the fatty tuna and Wagyu experience on their special menu. That's the exact culinary peak we've been looking for, and incredibly, it's tucked inside a suburban strip mall. Absolutely brilliant.

It was the chewy noodles, lack of broth flavor, pork - that was partly cooked bacon and some inedible other pork slice (what I could find it was lacking in protein).. it had an overabundance of sweet corn to pad it. Seriously though bacon in the tonkotsu that was a first for me.. My daughters chicken was darker chicken - think it was thigh.. it was ok but she said it was 'meh' and ate some of it The mecca noodle that shuttered due to insidiously high rent on short north was a huge step up Sorry folks I get this is subjective but the food here that I ate with my daughter is crap We won't be back The saving grace was that there a nice ice cream place 20 metres away

Not even any chairs at the counter inside. Oh, well, I'll take it home. Friendly service. The usual hibachi menu. I went with steak/shrimp/chicken. Got home and there was the standard massive portion, mostly rice, but still a lot of meat. The rice was very good, and probably very unhealthy. The steak was cooked a bit past the requested medium, but still tender, and tasty. The chicken and shrimp were also slightly overcooked, but again, still good. Very small portion of veggies, just cabbage and carrots. Pretty darn good, but I had hoped for sprouts and next time will pay extra for them and a bit more veggies, because I have to at least pretend to eat healthy. Prices feel a little high but are appropriate for this kind of food, with this quantity and quality. Spring for some more veggies, even at $1 per. Took a few minutes to make so order ahead if you are in a hurry, but really it was probably about 10 minutes so not bad. I'll be back.
