Excellent sushi restaurant!! Recommended this restaurant by my friend - I hadn't heard of it before, I'm glad we went! We went right as the restaurant opened on Sunday, and had the pick of the place to sit. It's not very big, so I can picture there being quite a wait if it gets busy! Fortunately, this was not an issue for us and we had a nice quiet atmosphere to enjoy our meal. The service was great, we were immediately helped and given menus. The menu had many options, including bulgogi, general tsos chicken, and noodle dishes such as udon and bibimbop. Since we came for sushi, we opted for sushi. We ordered crab Rangoons to start with, which came in a cute boat bowl. They were decent quality and really hit the spot. Our sushi rolls were: the playgirl, the green chili, and Lovely Lady. They were each fantastic. The Lovely Lady had the most kick to it in terms of spice. The other two were equally flavorful. The seafood was high quality and the flavors balanced each other well. I'd definitely return for sushi here - they have a large variety of specialty rolls...several more that I'd love to try! read more

AWESOME food! Excellent service and super cute little quaint spot! I would DEF frequent here. The sake is sooooo gooooood! The peach and fuju apple sake is delicious, not too sweet not too dry. The prices are super reasonable! The sushi rolls are a great price and really good portion size! The roe was fresh and the I LOVED how they make the crab rangoon! The rangoon has chunks of crab meat in them which gives it a super yummy texture! The seaweed salad was BOMMMMMBBBB.com, it has cucumber in it, which gives it a super great and fresh crunch and taste! I like that they have a lot of different options but not soooo many that it deteriorates the quality. Again, the service was top notch! We had two different servers as one needed a break for a bit and BOTH were top top notch. I think it was Ting and Emma and they both were super super friendly, attentive and just seemed to enjoy being there which make me feel happy to be patroning a place that people enjoy working. Returning to an old stomping ground. It's been way too long and learned that it's under new ownership. The menu has evolved to include Korean food as well as Japanese. The sushi menu contains some of the standards but also some interesting combinations. We started with the gyoza, seaweed salad and spicy crab salad. Only complaint on the appetizers was that one of the gyoza was pretty cold on the inside, indicating that it was most likely frozen at some point earlier in the day. Seaweed salad was good, fairly standard. Spicy crab was solid. Sushi order consisted of Playboy, Lovely Lady and Air Force. All were very good, but a heavy on the cream cheese with the Air Force roll. Solid service. No complaints here. read more

Ordered via Uber Eats and got two rolls. Both were subpar at best. The playgirl roll was okay but the sauces on the top were abundant and very sweet. The worst of the worst was the dragon roll. I found multiple bones in the eel that was on the top in the first two pieces and ended up throwing the rest away. If you want good sushi in Powell you're better off paying a little more at Oishii. read more

One of the better sushi places in Powell, the staff and associates are what really make this place! Fair prices and plenty of parking. I've dined in there pre-covid and always enjoyed my experience but since covid have only been taking the food to go! Owner of very friendly and continuously working on the menu so from time to time will offer an LTO or something he is experiencing on the house for feedback which is always appreciated. Udon is good here as well as all of the rolls. Great nigiri and sashimi, I've always gone with a big group so we can order and share the multiple sizes of sushi boats! Really like their food but the last 2 times I went there I was basic ignored when I walked in. The las time, after a while, the lady came to talk to me and told me to seat on a table that was free. I was seating there for about 20 min waiting and nobody came to talk to me. I just decided to leave! This is just rude to me. I understand finding people to work these days is hard but they basic just ignore the people that want to dine in and only answer phone calls to do take out. Picky Korean and Japanese food quality eater here and I was impressed at the tastiness of the food & the price for the quantity of food. Def a good local add, and so glad it's close to home. It's a cozy place for easy stops on a weekday evening or a quick pick up when in a hurry. Definitely will be back to try some more of the Korean food. The Dolsot Bibimbap was delicious and getting two large pieces of salmon in the teriyaki dish was great, too. PRO TIP: always ask for the teriyaki sauce on the side. I know there are lots of great sushi places in town, but I thought this place was especially top-notch. The fish just a little fresh, the preparation just a little more inspired and thought-provoking. We had the sushi sampler, sashimi sampler (both pictured), the unagi nigiri, and a specialty roll call Green Chili. The hot sake was good too. My only minor disappointment was that I had been feeling adventurous and had hoped the sampler dishes would be omakase and something maybe I haven't had often. Once in awhile, I would pick some random places to eat. Even though these experiences can be a hit or miss, but love to explore additional options to my foodies list. It's empty when I come into the restaurant. Their menu is pretty typical, sushi, teriyaki, bento box... I ordered some sushi and sashimi. When I first look at the sashimi, I can tell the color of the fish is very dim. And when I taste it, I can tell right away it's not fresh. As for the sushi, the rice a bit of stale flavor and it's kinda hard. This experiences is a miss and I do not recommend this place if you are a true sushi lover. 3 years after moving to Powell from the east coast, we finally found decent sushi here!!! I can't believe it was right under our noses the whole time! The owner is clearly dedicated to quality and service. We really enjoyed the MANY dishes we ordered for takeout, which we were nervous about (because, really, who does takeout sushi on a 90 degree day??). Everything was fresh and perfectly cold/hot as it should be! I highly recommend the Spicy Jumbo, Playgirl, Playboy, Mean Green, and Mile High rolls. Really. Soooo good! The Galbi Gui (marinated beef short rib) was also excellent. Job Chae, spring rolls, and tempura were all decent. Found this gem on the outskirts of Columbus recently. The place is small but very nice and tidy inside, the staff were prompt and nice, and the food was fantastic. We had several sushi rolls, a tempura platter and all of it was very good. We have a new favorite for sushi when visiting Columbus now! read more

A nice little family-run (mom waits tables, dad prepares the sushi, and little girl plays quietly behind the counter) neighborhood restaurant tucked away in a Powell strip mall. The food quality was very good, as was the service. Ambience was alright, although I don't have a burning desire to see basketball on large TVs everywhere I look in this type of establishment.
