To tell the truth, I'm not a big fan of sushi, but there's a lot on the menu besides sushi, and I've enjoyed everything I've had here. The lunch plate is especially good, with a copious variety of different foods, including bulgogi (one of my favorites even alone), veggies, tempura, fruit, and yes, a few sushi. A little of everything, but it adds up to a lot of food. On my last trip, for a Saturday lunch, I had the chicken yakisoba - a HUGE portion for lunch, and quite good, with lots of veggies the way I like it. Craved sushi and this was the closest spot. I ordered to go: avocado roll, shrimp tempura roll, veggie roll, and Jmynt roll. $41 for all shown here. I can say I enjoyed them all. The rolls are a little smaller than what I am used to but they all taste good. I ordered a variety bc I wasn't sure how I would like them. I usually don't order sushi rolls that have imitation crab meat in them but the Jmynt roll had imitation crab salad on top along with some panko crumbs. Could be removed but I decided to leave it. I enjoyed this perfectly cooked and seasoned tofu steak, accompanied by not so sticky rice (which I like), sautéed mushrooms with other veggies, and sliced avocado with a small portion of creamy, sweet Kabocha. Update: 10 years later and not much has changed. We had not been back- too many other good sushi places in town. And this is good, but not great, and charges prices for great sushi. Yes, sushi is expensive, and yes, everything is expensive nowadays. But you can get better sushi elsewhere for less. I think you're paying for location. We wanted sushi but our favorite place wasn't open yet, and this was handy, and hey, we'll give them another chance. Called in (didn't see a way to order online.) Super friendly service on the phone and picking up. Order ready on time. The spider roll was great, again. The shrimp and veggie tempura was very good- lots of different things, perfectly cooked. The Buckeye roll? Meh. It was okay, but not great, not for a specialty roll at a big price. We also got a piece of ebi and one of unagi- good not great. I was surprised to see bulgogi on the menu so I got it, and, well, again, good not great. Tons of veggies- in bulgogi? I'm just here for the meat. And I've never seen so many veggies in bulgogi- carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, sprouts I think, and more. More veggies than beef. Perfect rice on the side, though. It's good enough. It's expensive. Sometimes it's convenient. Parking is nice, right across the street. The bathrooms are sort of outside in a shared hallway. We might be back in another ten years. read more

A word of advice for people who are sensitive to spicy foods - I forgot to request "no spice" for my Pad Thai, and unfortunately, it was too spicy for me to eat. We decided to dine here one night after I got a sudden craving for sweet potato sushi (it's a constant craving!). We love the atmosphere of this sushi bar and the vegetarian sushi options. Sushi: Buddha's roll, OHIO roll, Mamenori roll The sushi was delicious! I mainly eat vegetarian sushi, but my wife order the Mamenori roll. She loved it, but picked off the eel. She was not a huge fan of the texture. The OHIO roll and Buddha's roll were both amazing! The OHIO roll is deep fried with walnut panko and comes with sweet sauce. I have never had a sweet potato roll like this before, but I can say 100% that it was absolutely delicious! The Buddha's roll is pretty hard to mess up. Sweet peanuts and avocado are always great! We also ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Moshi Asian Pockets. Both were very good! The Chicken Pad Thai has ALOT of onion, so be aware of that when ordering. By the time we were finished with the sushi we really didn't have much room for anything else! This was great heated up the next day. I came here for dinner with a friend and we were sat immediately. The store seemed really clean and the staff was pretty friendly. They were very quick with service and brought out menus and water immediately. They had a very large menu, there is definitely something for everyone here. There are tons of options, even vegetarian options. We ordered the dragon roll and the Jmynt roll which were both really good. I would eat here again but it wouldn't be my first choice. Although the restaurant was full we were seated almost immediately. Server came right away, explained the daily special (tonight was Buy one get one 1/2 off ALL sushi rolls). Friends decided to check this place out for a friends birthday. With covid it's been difficult to reserve somewhere we're there isn't a lot of people. We did get lucky with this place. We had the whole patio to ourselves. Place was pretty dead. Food was delicious I ordered the Moshi dinner plate. Comes with sushi and shrimp tempura some fruit and other delicious items. Waiter on the other hand is the reason why I might never go again. He seemed bothered by us being there. When we asked him for his name to be able to address he said Paul and ran off. Later to find out from the host that, that isn't his name. As much as I loved the food. Waiter was rude and has no customer service experience at all. He would avoid us but asking like he was going to the patio open the door then turn around. Never asked ya if we needed anything. Didn't check in on us. When we would try to make friendly conversation he would give rude/yelling responses. We had a friend that was vegetarian. He wanted to Moshi plate. He explained to the waiter that he was vegetarian and he wanted to Substitute the meat for vegetables. The waiter told him it's invitation crab and he can PICK IT OUT. After "finally" making the waiter understand our friend is vegetarian. Once he got his food, there was shrimp tempura, meat dumpling. If I didn't check it my friend would have eaten it! Came here with friends on a Saturday night for dinner. I was surprised to find how empty the restaurant was! My friend had a reservation, and we were promptly seated. Our server came by and brought water and took our drink order promptly. I got the Lychee Mojito which was delicious and refreshing for a summer drink. For appetizers we ordered the edamame and jalepeno poppers. Both were prepared and seasoned to perfection. For the mains I let my friends order and we got an assortment of rolls and Nigiri. Everything game on a nice wooden board which made sharing easy! For food alone 5 stars for sure, however where things fell short was on the service side. We had to ask for plates, they were out of beer glasses for my friend, and while we got checked in on at the beginning of the meal and the end, we didn't have anyone check in on us mid-meal and a water refill would have been great, especially given how empty this place was. Those place is cute, I was expecting it to be a little fancier from the pictures I saw but it was very comfortable, which was good for me. We brought our daughter for her first proper sushi experience. Our server was very kind and attentive despite being super busy most of the time we were there. She let us know with our first order that the sushi was taking a bit since they were doing a heavy carry out service at the time. We got an order of their dumplings and a couple of the special appetizer, which was a piece of crunchy rice with spicy tuna on it, both appetizers were excellent. Our sushi was gorgeous. We got a plain cucumber roll for our daughter, and my husband and I shared a spider roll, a dragon roll, one of the Brutus rolls, a futomaki roll, and later after all that we got a Jmynt roll to go. Everything was very delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our daughter was a sport and tried the cucumber roll but the bites were just a little too big for her. She loved the dumplings though. Not worth docking a star but I will say it was pretty expensive. I don't look at sushi as a cheap date and we were very hungry so I think we ordered more than we typically would. Surprised by how much I liked this place, the atmosphere is casual and is a great weeknight spot. We came on a Tuesday and got $6 wine (amazing) and 6 specialty roles. The Jymt roll was my favorite but all were excellent. The most important part was the wait staff, they were incredibly sweet and attentive, and let us stay late after giving us our check. I had a nice lunch with my mother on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Moshi Sushi has a great location being in Bexley, a nice walkable community, with a free parking lot directly across the street. Their patio is on the small size. The awning shades patrons nicely, while still allowing the breeze. Our server was polite and gave us time to glance the menu (which is currently done via QR code). I ordered off the lunch menu, and got the Teriyaki Salmon ($12.95). The salmon was hot and tender. The teriyaki sauce was good and not overpowering. I loved to veggies on the side - I'd gladly ask for double the amount if I get this dish again in the future. The portion sizes were perfect (I passed on eating the rice). I'd like to try Moshi's sushi. I will admit, they did seem overpriced based on the pictures I saw, but hopefully they've dialed down and realized that customer satisfaction IS the name of the game. read more

I must say that I'm a little surprised at some of the unflattering reviews at this spot. This is one of my go Asian spots in central Ohio. Maybe I need to check out the other options on the menu besides the chicken yakisoba. I love that freaking dish. The chicken is cooked and seasoned just right. The vegetables are always fresh and crunchy and the noodles are cooked to perfection. The sushi here is pretty great as well. I've always had some awesome sushi when I've come here. It's fresh and tasty. The service is pretty good. I don't think I've ever had a horrible experience all the times that I've been here. They are knowledgeable about the menu and that's always a plus because I hate when I ask what's in something and the server doesn't know. I got allergies sheesh. But they know here. read more

Went to this place within the last two weeks. I live near OSU's campus but was in the area and decided to try it because I like sushi and it looked like other Yelpers enjoyed the place. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. The service was excellent, which is rare these days. My server was attentive without hovering and had impeccable manners. Impeccable. With service that refined, I was afraid that the food might not be as good, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi order I placed was simple (salmon nigiri and a California roll) but very high-quality. Fish taste and texture were both superior and my order was delivered in a timely fashion despite my going to dine mid-afternoon. If the rest of the staff are half as able as my server, you're going to have a wonderful time whether you're dining for a meeting, a meal with a friend, or a romantic encounter. This is the sort of place that food service managers should bring their staff so that they can see what is possible for a high-value restaurant dining experience. The only criticism I could give is that the east entrance (from the parking lot) has some unsightly clutter in the hallway, but that is the worst thing I can say about my experience.
