I've been to slurping turtle twice now and both times the food has been delicious. I like that they have gluten-free and vegetarian options. My most recent visit I got the vegetarian Ramen with sweet potato noodles as the gluten-free substitute. It was very delicious. Love the flavor just wish that there were a few more vegetables actually in the soup. Service both times were pretty iffy, though it wasn't busy. They did not see us until everyone in the party was there which seemed a little bit ridiculous. Also, I had to waive the waitress over to bring me more water, but otherwise it is yummy food that I would have again if I was in the area.
I've been here before and it's been pretty good. The duck fat fried chicken is very tasty! My sister and I were pretty bummed about our ramen though. The broth was less than lukewarm -- call it what it was, it was cold. We mentioned it to our server and the floor manager brought a new bowl of piping hot broth to "freshen it up" -- not really the greatest experience but they tried! The star of the show was the bento box, honestly! My son got all of his favorites AND enjoyed the duck fat fried chicken as well.
This was my first time trying ramen and it was such a great experience. The food was tasty and portion sizes were amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and thorough in explaining the menu. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon so the restaurant wasn't too crowded. Overall, I would try again!
Not that you anticipate a traditional Japanese experience when the name is Slurping Turtle, but you would be right if you thought this was going to be what a loud, full of hipster shopping at the higher end mall would be. I sat at the bar dining alone as there was a 20-30 minute wait for the legion of high tops at 1pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Started with the Takoyaki octopus fritters (6 of them) that had a piece of octopus encased in a breading that is then fried. The sweet tonkatsu sauce worked well with the mayo although I'd cut the amount of mayo in half. It is side by side with the tonkatsu sauce rather than mixed so the mayonnaise can dominate a given bite depending on how you pick it up with your chopsticks. They came right out of the fryer so be sure to wait at least a minute for them to cool and so that you avoid the singe when you pop that first one in whole. The Tan Tan Men ramen had a promised kick although nothing that should deter those who are heat limited. Generous ramen and pieces of pork belly and meatballs. Rich broth that you'd expect. I realize the target clientele is running youthful but I think we'd all like to be able to have a chance to chat so I'd lower the music volume just a bit. Hipster vibes ok if the food is good which it is, but you don't need the volume to achieve either. And shout out to Cayla at the bar. She was quick, attentive without pressure or impatience, and obviously knows how to juggle.

Tables are mostly bar height with some regular tables on the sides. There's also outside seating and although the heaters were on, nobody was seated there on this cold November night. Food is decent and tasty. Ramen is nowhere near what a ramen tastes like. Soup is basically an Asian broth. I wouldn't say it's not delicious but can't call it ramen. Duck Fat Fried Chicken is crunchy and tasty. My miso soup came cold. When I complained, server apologized saying this is the last bowl and they're making a new pot. Although that's not a good excuse, she quickly replaced it. I will consider coming back when I'm craving for Asian food. It's a good thing to have where Asian food is scarce. For this reason, I gave them 4 stars.

The noodles themselves were pretty standard. Pricing was moderate. Definitely a good spot on a cold day!
We sat in a little area behind the bar that I didn't know was there. Great service and a little more of a quit area. Food was great and the waiter was awesome (Jacob) he made it for us.

This is the kind of broth you crave when you're under the weather or just need comfort in a bowl. Noodles & Toppings: * Noodles had a nice al dente bounce (not house-made texture, but still solid). * Corn was soft--could use more crunch. * Kimchi? Excellent. Bright, tangy, and worth asking for extra. * Ramen egg was visually great but cooler than I'd prefer, likely prepped ahead. * Fried chicken was crispy and seasoned well, but gets soggy fast if you leave it sitting. Tip: Ask for it on the side. They also serve S&B ramen pepper at the table (tasty, but the fine print warns of BPA exposure--makes you wonder what we're sprinkling without thinking). High energy atmosphere on entry. Greeted immediately and seated as requested (small singular table out of the way). Server (Jade) was prompt and gave the most basic of introductions (Sushi is raw fish and Ramen is awesome!) Kiss of fire on the Salmon was the perfect complement of smoke/char adding to the proper "cook" of the nigiri. The miso vinaigrette and micro greens are a nice touch. Soy was not needed. Half Heart of Romaine and Mesclun Salad- Smack you in the tastebuds bright vinaigrette, carrots and sesame, pickled veggies, greens!! Full of bright wake you up flavors! Ta Tan Men- Rich ramen broth, pork meatballs were a little soft for my liking. The pork was just the right tenderness and offered a slight pull as you tear it into bite size pieces. The flavor of the pork was standalone and delicious in a bite by itself but added lift to a twist of noodle. Noodle cook was ideal just the right texture. The broth was full bodied (steeped all day flavor) and took about 3/4 of the spice bomb to hit the right spot for me. Slurping Turtle has been on my list to visit for a while. Finally we had a chance to visit. Once we entered the place, it was half empty but the guy at the front told us that we have to wait about 1/2 hr, So we waited since I really wanted to try their Ramen. Once we were seated, our server came with the menu. She went over the menu and gave us some recommendation. Our server was really sweet and friendly. We ordered the Red Curry Ramen and the Roasted Chicken Bao. In general ramen noodle is on the salty side, but this ramen was extremely salty, but the boa was decent. I was really looking forward to the ramen but unfortunately the food fell short for me and waiting 1/2 hr to eat salty, mediocre good will not be a repeat. read more

We were seating right away when we first walked in. The ramen was super delicious and the serve was attentive to placing the spice on the side. The portion was large enough to do carry out for leftovers. The atmosphere was overall calm and the space was vibrant. A great ramen joint in the middle of Columbus. read more
Met a friend for lunch at Slurping Turtle. It was a first-time visit for us both! Thought it was lunch time, it wasn't busy at all and were seated quickly. Fun, upbeat pop music was playing and the space was spotless. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and had the best server (shout out to Chris!) He walked us through their extensive menu, too, which was great -- and also incredibly difficult to choose from! We both went with their classic shoyu ramen; me because I wanted to see how they approached the classic and my friend because it was her first time trying ramen!) Broth was very flavorful, albeit a bit thinner than others I've had. The eggs were perfect, as was the pork belly (big pieces, too, which was very appreciated). The bowl itself isn't the largest, but it filled us both up. For $17, it's pretty expensive for what it is but I would still visit again if I'm in the area. The really nice manager also asked us hoe our lung was, which was really kind. The service here is top tier. I hope that never changes! read more

Enjoyed an early dinner here with my sister over the weekend. Their patio is perfect for prime people-watching and the interior is modern and sleek. Food quality was good, but portions are somewhat small. For the price point, I'd rather go to a more authentic place for sushi. We really enjoyed their drinks. The mango moment cocktail was great, and comes with a nice slice of candy to top it off. Also enjoyed the red dragon roll. read more
I was not overly impressed with my experience at Slurping Turtle. We arrived on a cold winter evening, and upon arrival, the gentleman at the front told us there was a 25-minute wait (even though there were several open tables). Seeing how this is the only ramen place nearby, we waited to be seated. Once seated, we had a great experience with our server. She explained the menu to us and checked in with us throughout the evening. The ramen itself was not that great - it was too salty for my liking, and there was not enough protein in it. I did enjoy the baos, and although, we didn't get it, the Duck Fat Fried Chicken that some of the other tables ordered looked good. With so many great dining options in the Easton area, and with so many great ramen options in the Columbus area, it's unlikely I will be back here. read more

Bella was a wonderful server! We had a pretty big party and never felt like we were without anything! Food was incredible. the DFFC ramen was delicious with the perfect amount of spice! It was a pretty busy Sunday afternoon but it never felt like anything was overwhelming or out of control! Can't wait to come back read more
If you're craving fried chicken, sushi, or ramen this is your spot. I love the ambiance and how nice all of the staff are. You truly can come here for any occasion. My favorite things we ordered were duck fat fried chicken, which sounds crazy but it is DELICIOUS. I got the duck fat fried chicken ramen and the flavor was perfect. So comforting and packed with ingredients. 10/10 recommend! read more

First time ever at Slurping Turtle and I have to say I was impressed. Located right in Easton. There was plenty of parking around and it's right on the corner. They have plenty of seating indoor and an outdoor patio as well. The vibes in there were super cool and very well done. Our server was very nice and accommodating. Our food came out pretty quick and it was delicious!! The smells, looks, and taste of my dish was excellent on a cold rainy day. I got the shrimp ramen and added the spicy sauce to it. ( so good if you like heat). I'm not over this way very often but would go back again. read more

The location is good and the modern decor was nice. Our server was very nice and food was brought out quickly. As for the actual food, we had shrimp stir fry, shrimp ramen and fried Brussel sprout. The stir fry was just okay as it did not have much flavor. The ramen and the Brussel sprouts were tremendous. My daughter talked about the Brussel sprouts for the next hour after we left. Definitely will be back but will not get the stir fry next time. read more

Stopped here on a work trip and I'm so glad we did! I had the DFFW ramen which was rich, flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. The gyoza were also so hecking delicious. Arrive was prompt and warm, even when I was super rude and on a call for a few minutes. I will be back! read more
I ordered takeout here while I was staying nearby for work. There is no online ordering,m so you have to call, but the order was ready within 15 minutes and very fresh! I ordered the small sashimi plate which came with 3 pieces each of salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. They were big pieces and very good! The duck fat fried chicken spicy ramen was a 4/5 - good, but did not blow me away. The duck fat fried chicken, which I guess they are known for, was similar to most other karaage chicken I've had before. The size of the chicken bites (3) was a pretty good portion though. I also appreciated having a full soft boiled egg instead of just 1 half of an egg. The broth was packaged separately; the flavor was 3.5/5. I liked the toppings (kimchi, corn, green onions, and possibly bean sprouts). I think the noodles are homemade; pretty good, but not "craveable" in my opinion. The interior is a cute vibe with the turtles! They also have a location in Ann Arbor, MI. I would order from here again, but would probably try the pork belly instead of the chicken if I got ramen! I would also be interested to try the specialty sashimi. read more

This place came highly recommended and I was very much looking forward to it, but unfortunately it fell very short for me. Service was super friendly, but really slow overall even just for drinks. I did enjoy the ambiance of the place alright and the restroom area had a cool anime mural. The food unfortunately fell very short for me though. The Shoyu ramen had waaay too much fish sauce in it and overpowered every other flavor in the bowl. The maki roll presentation was a little sloppy and the flavor was practically nonexistent which was weird considering I was getting a spicy tuna roll. The fried chicken was nice and crispy with good presentation, but again, where is the flavor? The mulled beverages were delicious once they arrived fwiw, but the drinks and ambiance would not bring me back for the mediocre meal. read more
