    Tan Tan Men Ramen

Not that you anticipate a traditional Japanese experience when the name is Slurping Turtle, but you would be right if you thought this was going to be what a loud, full of hipster shopping at the higher end mall would be. I sat at the bar dining alone as there was a 20-30 minute wait for the legion of high tops at 1pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Started with the Takoyaki octopus fritters (6 of them) that had a piece of octopus encased in a breading that is then fried. The sweet tonkatsu sauce worked well with the mayo although I'd cut the amount of mayo in half. It is side by side with the tonkatsu sauce rather than mixed so the mayonnaise can dominate a given bite depending on how you pick it up with your chopsticks. They came right out of the fryer so be sure to wait at least a minute for them to cool and so that you avoid the singe when you pop that first one in whole. The Tan Tan Men ramen had a promised kick although nothing that should deter those who are heat limited. Generous ramen and pieces of pork belly and meatballs. Rich broth that you'd expect. I realize the target clientele is running youthful but I think we'd all like to be able to have a chance to chat so I'd lower the music volume just a bit. Hipster vibes ok if the food is good which it is, but you don't need the volume to achieve either. And shout out to Cayla at the bar. She was quick, attentive without pressure or impatience, and obviously knows how to juggle.

This was my second time visiting Slurping Turtle, and it absolutely did not disappoint! The atmosphere is great, and the service is consistently excellent. They have an amazing variety of options on the menu, making it hard to choose, but the food is always top-notch. I started with the gyoza dumplings for an appetizer, which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. For the main course, I highly recommend the duck fat fried chicken ramen--it is incredibly rich, savory, and exactly what you want in a bowl of ramen. I'm already looking forward to my third visit!

Jade was a great server. Kept our drinks filled, got our food out quick and was very friendly. We came around 1800 on a Friday evening. Great service. Great food.

We sat in a little area behind the bar that I didn't know was there. Great service and a little more of a quit area. Food was great and the waiter was awesome (Jacob) he made it for us.

We came on a Friday night without reservations and had to wait 45mins. We registered our name and no. and waited for a text message while we wandered the area. I like the modern interior. Tables are mostly bar height with some regular tables on the sides. There's also outside seating and although the heaters were on, nobody was seated there on this cold November night. Food is decent and tasty. Ramen is nowhere near what a ramen tastes like. Soup is basically an Asian broth. I wouldn't say it's not delicious but can't call it ramen. Duck Fat Fried Chicken is crunchy and tasty. My miso soup came cold. When I complained, server apologized saying this is the last bowl and they're making a new pot. Although that's not a good excuse, she quickly replaced it. I will consider coming back when I'm craving for Asian food. It's a good thing to have where Asian food is scarce. For this reason, I gave them 4 stars.

Went in on a cold day - we got there right around 6:15 and there was a wait but it was short. They quoted 20 min but we waited about 5 max. The table itself was interesting- high top but the bar stools were screwed to the floor/not moveable and not very comfy. Our waiter was prompt but busy. We got edamame to share (good but nothing overly special), and each got a bowl of ramen. I had the classic (no spice) and it was tasty! The egg was delish and the pork belly tender. The noodles themselves were pretty standard. Pricing was moderate. Definitely a good spot on a cold day!

Slurping Turtle - Easton, Columbus, OH Visited July 2025 4/5 for the DFFC Miso Ramen alone (continue reading:) The Broth: Steaming hot, layered with rich miso flavor and chili oil warmth. This is the kind of broth you crave when you're under the weather or just need comfort in a bowl. Noodles & Toppings: * Noodles had a nice al dente bounce (not house-made texture, but still solid). * Corn was soft--could use more crunch. * Kimchi? Excellent. Bright, tangy, and worth asking for extra. * Ramen egg was visually great but cooler than I'd prefer, likely prepped ahead. * Fried chicken was crispy and seasoned well, but gets soggy fast if you leave it sitting. Tip: Ask for it on the side. They also serve S&B ramen pepper at the table (tasty, but the fine print warns of BPA exposure--makes you wonder what we're sprinkling without thinking). Service: Friendly but not hovering. My server split my leftovers into separate broth/noodle containers without me asking--a detail that really matters if you plan to reheat. Space & Atmosphere: Very busy on a Tuesday night. Big garage doors open up to the sidewalk for fresh air and people-watching. If you're not into crowds or prefer a quieter meal, consider takeout. Parking: Paid parking in the Easton Preferred Park lot next door--enforced only on Level 1. Be ready with the ParkMobile app or look for free spots nearby. Overall: I've tried all their ramen broths, and the DFFC Miso is the only one I consistently come back for. Haven't branched into their sushi much (I prefer Mr. Sushi in Gahanna for that). Bottom Line: Broth worth the trip Get your chicken on the side Kimchi is underrated Paid parking is Level 1 only Would I return? For this bowl, yes. Would I dine in again? Maybe--but more likely I'd grab it to-go and savor in peace.

Slurping Turtle has been on my list to visit for a while. Finally we had a chance to visit. Once we entered the place, it was half empty but the guy at the front told us that we have to wait about 1/2 hr, So we waited since I really wanted to try their Ramen. Once we were seated, our server came with the menu. She went over the menu and gave us some recommendation. Our server was really sweet and friendly. We ordered the Red Curry Ramen and the Roasted Chicken Bao. In general ramen noodle is on the salty side, but this ramen was extremely salty, but the boa was decent. I was really looking forward to the ramen but unfortunately the food fell short for me and waiting 1/2 hr to eat salty, mediocre good will not be a repeat.

Bella was a wonderful server! We had a pretty big party and never felt like we were without anything! Food was incredible. the DFFC ramen was delicious with the perfect amount of spice! It was a pretty busy Sunday afternoon but it never felt like anything was overwhelming or out of control! Can't wait to come back

Met a friend for lunch at Slurping Turtle. It was a first-time visit for us both! Thought it was lunch time, it wasn't busy at all and were seated quickly. Fun, upbeat pop music was playing and the space was spotless. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and had the best server (shout out to Chris!) He walked us through their extensive menu, too, which was great -- and also incredibly difficult to choose from! We both went with their classic shoyu ramen; me because I wanted to see how they approached the classic and my friend because it was her first time trying ramen!) Broth was very flavorful, albeit a bit thinner than others I've had. The eggs were perfect, as was the pork belly (big pieces, too, which was very appreciated). The bowl itself isn't the largest, but it filled us both up. For $17, it's pretty expensive for what it is but I would still visit again if I'm in the area. The really nice manager also asked us hoe our lung was, which was really kind. The service here is top tier. I hope that never changes!

Enjoyed an early dinner here with my sister over the weekend. Their patio is perfect for prime people-watching and the interior is modern and sleek. Food quality was good, but portions are somewhat small. For the price point, I'd rather go to a more authentic place for sushi. We really enjoyed their drinks. The mango moment cocktail was great, and comes with a nice slice of candy to top it off. Also enjoyed the red dragon roll.

I was not overly impressed with my experience at Slurping Turtle. We arrived on a cold winter evening, and upon arrival, the gentleman at the front told us there was a 25-minute wait (even though there were several open tables). Seeing how this is the only ramen place nearby, we waited to be seated. Once seated, we had a great experience with our server. She explained the menu to us and checked in with us throughout the evening. The ramen itself was not that great - it was too salty for my liking, and there was not enough protein in it. I did enjoy the baos, and although, we didn't get it, the Duck Fat Fried Chicken that some of the other tables ordered looked good. With so many great dining options in the Easton area, and with so many great ramen options in the Columbus area, it's unlikely I will be back here.

If you're craving fried chicken, sushi, or ramen this is your spot. I love the ambiance and how nice all of the staff are. You truly can come here for any occasion. My favorite things we ordered were duck fat fried chicken, which sounds crazy but it is DELICIOUS. I got the duck fat fried chicken ramen and the flavor was perfect. So comforting and packed with ingredients. 10/10 recommend!

With a volleyball tournament taking place at the Convention Center, the market was absolutely hopping! The atmosphere was electric, filled with a lively buzz and wonderful aromas wafting from the various food stalls. We split up to try different vendors: I grabbed a meal at Colo Market and Oyster Bar, while my husband got his at Pastaria. Both choices were fantastic, delivering on flavor and quality. Beyond the great food, the ambiance was perfect for people-watching, capturing the energy of the district on a busy day. Fukuryu is the first ramen place I've tried that lets you customize so many of my favorite extras--mushrooms, fish cakes, and egg. You can also choose your spice level; I went with half chili , and it was perfect for me. Spicy enough to leave a pleasant lingering heat without being overwhelming. I'm glad I read previous reviews because they definitely deliver on the heat they promise. The only downside was that the pork wasn't as tender as the chashu I'm used to in ramen. That said, the rest of the ingredients and the noodles were well-prepared, with great flavor and texture. I would definitely order Fukuryu ramen again.
