I come here just about every week for some of the best sushi on the planet! The presentation, quality, quantity, and taste is outstanding! Highly recommended!

It is a quaint Japanese restaurant located in a strip mall. Cozy and friendly with plenty of natural light - the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food was very good - nice selection of dishes with healthy portions. They do accept reservations - the restaurant is small, so large parties should check on availability. If I lived in Columbus I would be a regular. Food quality is high, and value is high - always a great combination!

This was a weird sushi experience. Although the service was great, the food was pretty disappointing. When the best thing you had at a sushi place was the veggie tempura, it is not a good sign IMO. Perhaps we caught the sushi chef on an "off" day, but my order was the sloppiest looking plate of sushi I have ever seen. I almost started laughing when it came out. The rolls were falling apart and there was a massive heap of tuna just sitting on top. No decorations on the plate...nothing. Not very appetizing. I have seen pictures of the sushi here in other reviews...it looked nothing like them. Taste of food and atmosphere were also nothing special. Definitely a one time outing for me.

My friends and I decided to eat at Sushi En, mainly because the wait over at Kura was going to be over an hour Saturday night. We were greeted and seated right away. The setting was nicer than at Kura because it resembled a more traditional restaurant. Our waitress was nice and very patient as we reviewed the menu. The menu items were all typical and really nothing really unique. We decided on bulgogi, spicy chicken ramen, shrimp & veggie tempura, a shrimp California and spicy tuna roll. Everything came out quickly, which we really appreciated since we were so hungry, & the presentation was beautiful. There's nothing bad I can say about the food - it all tasted good! I do have to say that I think it's a bit pricey for the portion size and ingredients, but that's the economy these days. We left very full and satisfied. It's not a place I would seek out, but if you are at the movies or mall and want reliably good Japanese food with a nicer atmosphere than the food court, this might be just the place for you.

This was my favorite sushi spot... but I haven't been here much since I moved to Cincy... I decided to come back here for their sushi today. And I'm so disappointed at their service. I was completely ignored! Sat here for 20 minutes, and no one came to take my order or even asked what I would like to drink. Everyone that came in after I did got their drinks order taken and received the minute they sat down! The table next to us was checked on 3 times while I was sitting here waiting for anyone to come... tbh, I'm not even subtle when I said I was waiting. I was watching each server, following them with my eyes, and still no one paid attention to me.... no one... it's like I don't exist... Don't get me wrong. I still love their sushi. Still as fresh as I remember. Love their thick sashimi cuts. But really... they got to do something about that service. I totally get it if it's busy and they can't attend to everyone. But to be ignored when everyone else even the 5 party that came after us were attended to... that's another level right there. I was so close to just walking out

Second time here since Kura the revolving sushi is still so hyped and hard to get in line this place is awesome! Sushi and sashimi's are always FRESH and portioned generously! Service is fast and friendly. This place never disappoints, and I love that its right next to a boba place as well. I can get my sushi and boba fix at the same time. Happy tummy

Diverted our route to have some sushi- and this didn't disappoint! The "all in one" roll had super fresh fish and THE BEST seaweed paper I've ever had- and I'm sure all the rolls did too, but once I tasted it my brain was transported. The plating was spectacular, and even the damn ginger was incredible. Excellent service as well. Go! go!

This is my first time back here in a while. Since Covid, I have only done the carry out in that time and missed eating inside where the Sushi Chef's inside loved their blues music. Today, I got to sit inside and enjoy their fresh cuisine. We ordered so many different items, spicy shrimp rolls (California roll without the avocado because Avocado = yuck), Bulgoki (a Korean dish which tastes like a stir fry version of the best beef stew you've ever had. Pretty much the Bulgoki (bull-go-key) is a bed of stir fried carrots, onion, zucchini, broccoli with a delicious beef broth that adds flavor to thinly sliced pieces of beef on top with a very mild pepper in it. It was pretty good and something I recommend for those who love a heartier meal in the cool weather. I went with my usual go-to of the spicy shrimp California rolls, without the avocado which makes them spicy shrimp rolls, but if you want the spicy sauce on top you have to say California rolls and then whatever you don't want. Unless unlike myself, you actually believe an avocado tastes like food? I ordered 3 orders of it which equates to 18 rolls or 3 hand rolls. Garnished with a spicy green wasabi paste (fresher than the paste on the premade sushi stand at the grocery stores) and pickled ginger slices to cleans your palate after the meal, I love these rolls. Probably the simplest to make in comparison to an entire page of sushi (prepared cooked meat) or a choice of sashimi (raw food) I have never been terribly brave enough to venture beyond what I know. But if you want to get crazy, you can definitely find some great sushi/sashimi options. I like to dip my sushi rolls in the Katsu sauce. It is part of the Chicken Katsu dish but you can order the sauce for dipping with whatever your heart is content with. The chicken Katsu is another favorite as it is planks of thin panko crusted and lightly fried chicken breast meat and you can dip it in the Katsu sauce which I can only explain as a slightly smoky savory robust sauce with a weird non-citrus tasting A1-type flavor ans soy sauce mixed with possibly a hint of Worcestershire sauce and something a bit sweet. It is so good on the chicken and even the sushi rolls go well with it. We also had two side salads which was the house side salad of iceberg lettuce and carrots with a delicious light ginger dressing and the cucumber salad which is thinly sliced cucumber in a very tart vinaigrette dressing that makes the cucumber taste a bit sweet like homemade relish almost. It was my least favorite as I don't like sweet cucumber or relish flavor. And the beverages are served from cans in a cooler. No worries about mystery flavors from a barely cleaned beverage machine with dirty fountain nozzles. This may also increase the price if you want more than a single soda. I have easily spent $30-$40 in my younger days destroying my wallet to order sushi. This meal, with all but the chicken Katsu totaled $50 before the 20% tip. It was more than enough for two people to eat and given the quantity I think a small third person would have easily fit into this price range for not much more. I love the look of this place. Always have. I find the design aesthetic to look like the sushi bars in Japan. Before COVID every time I have gone in the Korean chefs had their old school blues music playing because those guys loved their blues music. Today was a bit different as Spanish and American pop music. But this isn't a party atmosphere typically as even when I have been in here during the dinner rush, it has never been loud. There is also a small party room in the back for more private dining events. The servers are always friendly. This has always been my absolutely favorite sushi place

This place has a great happy hour and a good local spot for sushi. I've also tried their chicken yaki soba but didn't care for that as it was very bland. Service has been good each time i've visited. Overall everything about this place is just quick and easy!

The edamame stood out because they generous with the flaky salt, which I personally loved. Sometimes places hold back, but this was well seasoned. 3. Customer Service (2.5/5) This is where things started to fall apart a bit. I stood at the front for about 12 minutes before being acknowledged, and the restaurant was nearly empty. I had to make eye contact with someone in the kitchen just to be seated. Service at the table wasn't much better. It took about 15 minutes just to get my drink order taken (which I had to flag the waitress down to order), and by that time I was ready to order my whole meal. I ordered an appetizer along with a couple of sushi rolls and some sake. I'm not sure if the waitress wasn't thinking about it, but she brought my rolls out before she even brought out my appetizer or my drink. The inconsistency was noticeable and took away from the experience. 4. Overall Taste (4.5/5) The food absolutely carried! I ordered a sweet potato roll and the Hoonie Roll, which ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Both were fresh, flavorful, and really well-balanced. Paired with the edamame and sake, everything came together nicely. 5. Overall Experience (3.9/5 ) Taking everything into account, the experience lands just under a 4. The food and atmosphere were strong, but the service created a noticeable disconnect. It's definitely one of those places where you'd go back for the food, but you'd hope the service catches up next time.

We were there around noon on a Sunday so they were not very busy but that was okay with us. I had made a Resy reservation because they recommended it. The interior is decorated very well and the light is slightly dimmed for a nice ambiance! They have really nice, and solid, dinnerware and glassware. We started with the crab rangoon tarts, 3 in an order, and the edamame. The tart shells were so buttery and the filling was the usual luscious crab mix. The edamame comes with salt or spicy, we chose salt. There was enough for all 3 of us. The drinks we chose were the Gin & Tea and the Lychee Martini. Both were delicious and the foam on both were handshaken and so creamy. The Gin & Tea was a surprise winner and I highly recommend it. We ordered 5 rolls. The Naruto, Center, Fantastic, Tiger and Dancing Salmon. I love Naruto rolls without the rice and nori, instead wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber. This one was well made and stayed together when using my chopsticks. It allows the fish to shine! The Center Roll had spicy tuna and a topping of avocado, masago and spicy mayo. It's what you would expect and well done. The Tiger Roll has a mix inside and on top. Each bite was a little different and delicious. The Fantastic Roll was just that! It had a lobster salad inside and slightly scorched Japanese scallops on top. The smokiness of the scallop was surprising and delicate and complemented the sweeter lobster salad. The Dancing Salmon roll had eel inside and salmon outside. I'm not a huge eel fan but this roll I ate and enjoyed. I hadn't had good restaurant sushi since NYC and this was up there with it. And after that soft opening with a regular menu, this week they introduced an all-you-can-eat menu as well. So of course I got there as soon as I could. Quite an extensive menu for AYCE too, though not as big as their standard one. And full of interesting stuff. Nigiri, raw rolls, cooked rolls, deep-fried rolls, specialty rolls, apps, ramen, hibachi, and more. I wanted to try everything, but even though I arrived hungry I just couldn't. Maybe 25 years ago I could have eaten twice as much, and when the students hear about this they will clean them out. It's just down from where Japanese Oriental Restaurant used to be, and I used to save up and pig out there with my friends. Now I eat a bit less, but I still figure I had about $60 worth of sushi for $30. I started with seaweed salad- big portion, and very tasty. Fresh and a little spicy. Then unagi- two big pieces, excellent, tender and flavorful. Then maguro- good, melt in your mouth. Next I tried their "dragon eggs"- deep fried avocado with kani and tuna. OMG. Again, a big portion (two whole avocados, halved and stuffed. Finally, two big rolls: the High Street roll with spicy tuna, and the Seashore roll with salmon, kani, and more. Wow. Big, and tasty. Best sushi in town? No, but up there. Really good. Service was great. They open at noon, at least on weekdays, and I was the first one in. The decor is cool- it's an old house, and they have made it modern but with vintage touches. The bathrooms and waiting area are super cool. There's a bar off to one side, a sushi bar in back, and lots of sleek but comfy seating. Also a huge patio and courtyard out front. Free street parking out front (except during rush hour.) Also a small lot in back. Get here. If you like sushi, or other Japanese food, you'll like it. If you like a bargain, you'll love it. $27, yes, not cheap; but for sushi it's not bad, and for AYCE sushi it is a steal. A cool place to hang out, not far from campus, and drink, and eat good food till you're stuffed.

Atmosphere was modern and soothing. You can get ramen, cooked dishes like tempura, salads, all kinds of things. There's a full bar as well, and areas with cozy or romantic seating. The design was actually pretty cool, you could eat with a group or sit up at a bar by yourself and feel very comfortable either way. The sushi menu itself includes more traditional Japanese sushi, which honestly is what I'd recommend from the AYCE menu. They even have sashimi, which is cut thinly- which is fine, if you want more you can just order more, that prevents excessive waste. Most AYCE places wouldn't offer sashimi anyway. But the traditional sushi, sashimi and rolls were the ones we liked best. The more Americanized rolls with the alternative (non-nori) wraps were not as delicious, in our opinion. We couldn't figure out what it was, whether it was the wraps or an ingredient in the chopped sushi roll fillings. But there's a ton on this menu that was good. Will eat here again. Oh and a short note on large groups- maybe this is not the spot to go with a massive group? It's more of an intimate dining experience, although they do seem to allow big groups. I only mention this because I saw a negative review about slow service for large groups before we went and then the evening we went a group of maybe 10-12 college students impatiently waited by the door to be seated, even though the servers were polite and had to wait for multiple tables to clear at the same time to push together seat such a large group in a smallish restaurant- the patrons kept coming in and trying to sit at random tables before it was their turn. If you have a massive group I'd say split into multiple tables or maybe choose a different, larger or chain restaurant, like El Vaquero or Buffalo Wild Wings? Anyway I hope they left a good tip because the workers were very professional and the group was very large and very impatient.
