Service was quick and friendly and we were in and out of there in about 45 minutes. It's in the same plaza as the RAVE movie theater near Polaris, so location is very convenient. Don't waste your time or money here. I took my daughter here after a movie. She still had her drink from the movie which I wasn't even paying attention to. I was just about to order and the waiter comes over and said the manager told him that I was in violation of the "coke rule" and had to take the drink outside. First off, I intended to buy my daughter a new drink but was never given the opportunity. Second, the way I was treated over a drink was very menial when I was going to spend $40-$50 in sushi. I came here with my friend because we've never been here before. I had the spicy ramen and my friend got a bento box. The spicy ramen was okay, not my favorite in Columbus but decent. I'm sure their sushi options were better because sushi is in the name but I was craving ramen that day due to the cold weather. My friend enjoyed her bento box and had plenty left over to take home. It is on the pricer side, but they are super creative with their presentation and their rolls are a nice size. We had the diablo, volcano, philly, veggie and scallop rolls. Amazing quality and extremely thoughtful! I highly recommend the sushi boat options towards the back of the menu! We ordered the nigiri and sashimi boat for two for 56 bucks. It comes with salad, miso soup, a sushi roll in addition to your sashimi and nigiri, and also mochi ice cream!! You get to pick two flavors of mochi ice cream, cut in half so you can each experience both flavors. They garnish cutely, and put toothpicks in the mochi so you can clean your teeth after the meal. We had enough sushi to take leftovers home as well! The little acts of thoughtfulness plus the great quality of our food won me over instantly. I will definitely be back. I so wanted to give 5 stars because the dinner presentation was phenomenal, the sushi was delicious & we walked out with happy tummies. We've eaten here several times before, great food and service every time. Decided to stop in on Valentine's Day with no reservation and got lucky enough to be seated immediately and at the bar! Met some friends here on a hot day. Very hard to find, tucked behind the movie theater well off Polaris- actually on Gemini, but even hard to see from there. Service was great, start to finish. The place is long and narrow, but actually bigger than it looks. We were in the party room. They accomodated all of us, plus Baby K., very graciously. Sweetie and I had chicken katsu as an appetizer. Very good, crunchy breading, tender chicken, and thick sweet dipping sauce. It came out in larger chunks than I expected, hard to eat with chopsticks- maybe they could slice it up a bit. We followed with sushi; our friends had a mix of sushi, Japanese entrees, and Korean entrees. They liked them all. We had a spider roll- very good, probably better than most I've had. Let's see... A Lobster Frenzy roll and a California Dreamin' roll, which turned out to be so similar we almost couldn't tell them apart. I would suggest getting one or the other, depending on your tastes; I think the only difference was that one had shrimp as well as the crab and lobster. Both were good, though one was rolled loosely and fell apart easily. I had a toro and scallion roll; very fresh, and a nice simple roll beside the others. Finally, jealous of our friends' Firecracker roll we got one too. Very, very good. Served hot, full of flavor, not too spicy. I think we'll be back. It's expensive, but then it's sushi. So this is a hard review to write. I have been going to Sushi En once a month since 2006. That is not an exaggeration. But 3 days ago marked the last time I will go there. The service is great and almost always is, but the quality and amount of sushi for the price has gotten out of control versus other places that are just as close. Paying close to 40 dollars for the S1 and two other pieces of sushi is too much. The quality of the California roll was dismal. Mostly cucumber and a small piece of avocado. Pretty sure there was nothing else in there. The ikura eggs were so disgusting and slimy. The unagi was mostly barbecue sauce. So that's it for sushi en. Sorry...not sorry. Good luck. read more

They've been advertising new management, so I thought I would give it another try. Bad choice on my part. A few main problems. First off, the quality is barely above a supermarket and there are plenty of sushi places to choose from around here. Secondly, they lie about "crab" in the rolls and actually use that fake "krab". Finally, it just seems lazy. What I mean is, it looks like they had pre-sliced my tuna (for a simple tuna roll) thin for sashimi or nigiri. The first time I went to Sushi En was for Mother's Day yearssss ago, and back then, I wasn't much of a sushi fan. I finally got to come back the other day since I was in the area, and stopped by with a friend for lunch. The decor is pretty simple and clean; there is a sushi bar and also (I think) a small back room for larger parties. The menu consisted of items you'd typically see in a Japanese restaurant (Udon, Bento boxes, sushi, etc). I ordered a basic Scallop Roll and the "All In" Roll (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, red Snapper, crab, & cucumber). Although the sushi is pretty fresh, it is just a tad bit pricier compared to other sushi places in the Columbus area. If I ever stop by again for lunch, I might try and go for value and get a lunch combo. read more

So the sushi wasn't bad, but the serving was. Sashimi that's 1/2 inch thick is rather like a slab steak than deliciousness. The martini glass filled with salmon stuck to the plate with wasabi was bizarre. I also had the noodle soup, and there's so much MSG that my entire mouth is still numb. I'm no stranger to Sushi. I also know it can be very expensive. While in a discussion with a friend who also likes Sushi, I stated that I would eat it every day if it were less costly. She suggested I try Sushi En. She said their prices were good. Well, I don't know what she was thinking, but the prices there are equal to or more than any of the sushi restaurants I've frequented. And that's OK. I've paid good money for sushi before, and I'll do it again. However, as my wife and I were reviewing our menus, my waiter arrived to take our drink orders. I casually told him I was a bit disappointed because I was told their prices were reasonable, and that I must have been misinformed. He came back with: "Yes, we're more expensive than Kroger." Mind you, he said this as he was walking away to get the drinks, There were more than two dozen diners who heard him. First, I don't eat sushi that comes in plastic containers from supermarkets. Who know how long that raw fish has been in those containers? And they're not airtight. Second, how does he know whether I do or not? Third, what gives him the right to embarrass us in front of so many people? I eventually ordered the Seafood Udon. I got a large bowl filled with some kind of broth, some noodles, some vegetables, some more vegetables, and about three pieces of seafood. Furthermore, whatever was in that bowl had me on the toilet several times that night giving birth to lawyers within a half hour of leaving the joint. My wife also had intestinal discomfort. That was late Sunday afternoon. I started writing this review Monday morning. I must have sired an entire law firm from the time I left Sushi En yesterday.
