Don't come for the food. We decided to eat first so got the Cubana, hamburger and nachos. They told us the fries would come with ketchup, mayo, & mustard on them but they were drowned in them. Which was the theme for the rest of the food. The Cubana had so much mustard and mayo my wife had to take the meats from one half and add it to the other to deal with it. My daughters nachos were buried under way too much sour cream. Also had no flavor at all. Finally, my burger was the oddest I've ever had. Again dripping with mayo and mustard. Came here for my daughters bday because she specifically requested gelato, which in their location on google maps specifically says they have. There is NO gelato but the ice cream was good quality. A lot of interesting options I didn't get to try (elote and queso ice cream) Maria was amazing and let us sample whatever we wanted and had patience with us. I don't know why I have been sleeping on this place! Walking in, it was so bright and cheerful and the girl who was working was equally so. There is a lot to choose from and she was patient to explain how assembly works and what is in each thing I asked about (food allergies) I sampled several and landed on the BEST coffee ice cream I have had in.my.life!! It was the Frappuccino flavored. I paired it with this other one I cannot remember the name of. It was creamy and lightly cinnamon. The parking was plentiful as it's in a strip mall. I've been coming to Dulce Vida on West Broad Street for years and have spent a lot of money here, but after my experience today, I won't be returning. The general manager, Rudley, approached me with an attitude from the start, demanding that I place my order immediately and not allowing me time to ask questions about the menu. She repeatedly rushed me, made rude remarks, and created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I politely asked her to calm down, but her behavior didn't improve. After taking my order and cashing me out, she actually told me not to come back because my asking follow-up questions made her uncomfortable. I've never experienced anything like that as a paying customer. I even pointed out that I have no problem spending my money elsewhere, especially when I'm treated with such disrespect. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated issue. The customer service at this location has gone downhill. Employees rarely greet customers, and there seems to be a lack of professionalism and proper management. There are plenty of places that appreciate their customers. I'll be taking my business to one of them. read more

I love ice cream like any other person on earth. Therefore, when I was first introduced to Dulce Vida down at their other location on West Broad I was amazed by the variety of ice cream. Fast forward to one year later, I am now seeing the new location opened on Sawmill right next to Anna's Greek Restaurant and in the most diverse area to place this restaurant. My hopes is that it will not only attract the hispanic population but also the greater Columbus area to enjoy the quality of ice cream here. The owner really tries hard to make sure all the flavors and items on the menu are served fresh daily. Not only that, when you come in you get to try every flavor until you decide what is your favorite. I have tried many flavors but my favorite is the Ferror Roche as I love hazelnut chocolate ice cream. Do yourself a favor and drive to the northwest side of town to try Dulce Vida. The prices for just a scope of ice cream are super reasonable as well! They give you a great amount of ice cream for the price you pay! All variety of antojitos; tamales, walking tacos, elotes (huge menu on the wall), but of course the stars of the show are the ice cream flavors. There's one chest dedicated to the ice pops, but the rest are packed with mind blowing ice cream and sorbet flavors, toppings, drizzles and fruit glazes! First adventure was ice cream with raspberry, chocolate, and coconut shavings jam packed in one scoop. 'Thought it was only deserving to sit in a chocolate dipped waffle cone, WITH MORE coconut shaving sprinkled on it. We recently moved to the area and finally stopped by for the first time today. The employee was so kind and offered all the tastings we wanted. She provided hearty servings of ice cream. There was ice cream, sorbet, paletas, and a few snacks like fries and nachos. I got the blackberry and cheese ice cream, which was much better than the name would imply (think cream cheese/cheesecake flavor). My husband also got a walking taco with hot Cheetos as the base, which he was able to customize. We really enjoyed the family-owned feel of this unique gem in our new neighborhood and will definitely be back! read more
