We showed up close to closing time but were handled quickly. They had a large number of orders but really did a great job with the orders. Ice cream was really good. Will go back again read more

Great spot for soft serve or lunch with the family! Tons of flavors and toppings available for the soft serve.... You can really see they get creative. Cheeseburgers were nice. Hand cut fries and onion rings. Staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the shaded benches. Also a shout out to the owner for growing his own tomatoes. I love to find local spots like these. Support small businesses and bring cash. read more

Food is always good and the ice cream selection is wonderful. The crew is polite and efficient.

OMGeee. I haven't been to Dari Point in YEARS and let me tell you, it held up. They have a nice selection of soft serve, and creative treats. it's walkable from a lot of homes in Delaware and has some parking. This place is old school, just some picnic tables outside and a few benches. Walk up counters. Service is pretty quick. My friend and I both got the black raspberry chocolate top pretzel cyclone. Yes, its' a long name! The combination of raspberry, chocolate, and salty pretzels was just right. We really enjoyed them. Also, their Blue Smurf ice cream (now called Papa Smurf) has gotten more elaborate over the years, and it made me so happy to see kids STILL eating that thing! This place is just summer in Ohio! read more

The ice cream at Dari Point is AMAZING!! Go get yourself some, it is perfect for kiddos because they have a sherbet blue raspberry cone dipped in cherry with candy eyeballs and a whip cream mouth called, "a Smurf" so it is healthier for them. My favorite are their mixed sundaes or sundaes. Anything you get, is amazing, type of place. & do not even get me started on the food, always awesome!! They do such a good job cooking it, I appreciate all the workers!! It definitely could be cleaned up more, but you get what you get with a drive in, hole in the way, family type of place!! A perfect lil spot for a date night, family event or bring the kids after school, you won't regret it!! read more

Another great place for ice cream. It's a locally owned and operated ice cream store. They have a good size menu of frozen treats and hot food too. It also never closes even when it's cold. The service is pretty fast. It has a better atmosphere than any corporate ice cream chain. Much better atmosphere and people seem happy to see customers. Of course it gets busier in summer, but they still get business through the year. A lot of the customers are young children. The place is located across the street from an elementary school. It's common to see the place swarmed with children being rewarded for school or sports achievements. They continue to operate in the winter months by selling nuts and other candy for the holidays. It has a good seating area. It's enclosed so it's good for colder months. The parking area is small so you may have to park on the street to get there. read more

I grew up in the '80's and remember going to soft serve ice cream shops like this. They were the best and this reminded me so much of that delicious ice cream I loved as a kid. They have a whole list of flavors and there are options to have a few of them in a swirl. The first time I went I had peanut butter and banana swirl and the second time I had peanut butter and black raspberry, which was like peanut butter and jelly in ice cream form. Loved the options and the ice cream was delicious! The prices were very affordable, for a large cone, ice cream sundae, and Papa Smurf ice cream cone for the son, it was less than $15. Both times we have been here they had a line out the door but it goes pretty fast. They have long picnic tables to eat at outside and it seems to be enough seating for everyone, even when busy. The only downside is they don't have public bathrooms so definitely have a bathroom break beforehand so your kid (or you) don't suddenly and urgently need to use the bathroom! I will definitely make a stop here anytime I am in Delaware! read more

Dari Point gets a solid four stars from me. I love that Delaware has so many creamy whips, we have a handful and Dari Point is just as good as the others. Dari Point is located at the intersection right after one crosses the railroad tracks on 36/37 to get towards Mejier and is right across the street from Conger Elementary. The parking lot at Dari Point only holds a few cars, but there is plenty of parking on the street. The night my girlfriend and I went it was packed with a line out the door, I already knew what I wanted to get my standard small vanilla ice cream with a cherry dip top whereas my girlfriend needed a few minutes to order off the vast menu. The lines moved quick and young teenage girls were very nice. My girlfriend ended up ordering the sundae cone and enjoyed it, however would something else next time as long as it has sprinkles. I enjoyed my cherry dip top as it tasted of Maraschino cherries and had a nice crisp crunch when I bit into it. A number of people were ordering hot food from Dari point and it looked good. Dari Point does accept Cash and Credit Cards. read more

10/10 Soft Serve was out of this world. Great family atmosphere, even better service.

This is exactly the place you should take your children. It's anything but "corporate chain," which is why we love it. The staff are usually local students, who are very nice and treat everyone with a great attitude. The food is great for when you want a small snack with your cold treat! My favorite is the foot long cheese coney dog. And of course fresh hot fries for my kids. Their soft serve is delicious, and doesn't taste "commercial grade" like most of the chain places do. Most of the Corp places we go to upsets my stomach for the rest of the day. Dari Point's Ice Cream is very easy on my stomach, and I love all of the flavor options they have. Everything from rich & decadent to light and refreshing. Try the orange pineapple flavor! Please keep in mind they are still following the COVID health codes, so expect a slightly longer wait that usual. But I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes in their line, even on a weekend. It's worth the wait!! read more

We LOVE living so close to Dari Point! I look forward to their changing soft-serve flavors and love that they have the ability to twist the two together. There are plenty of areas to sit (covered, too!) and they are open a lot (even in the winter!) There's also plenty of places to park - either in the lot or in the street. Everyone is always SUPER friendly and they have a lot of options beyond their flavored soft serve (sometimes an overwhelming amount of options). If you enjoy their ice cream and like wine, pay a visit to Blend of Seven Winery nearby. They use Dari Point's ice cream in their wine floats :) read more

This place was on my bucket list for a while. I'm sampling chili dogs all over the state. They did not disappoint. I enjoyed the chili dog and a banana shake. This place was packed on a summer Friday night. If only I didn't live an hour away. And their ice cream flavors were unrivaled by other similar dairy stops. Here are unique flavors I've not seen anywhere else. Stop in here quick. You won't be disappointed. read more

My coworkers were talking about ice cream and mentioned one of them used to take their kids to camp and stop at this place that sold smurf cones, that it was the best flavor of ice cream and they would buy tubs of it to take home. My curiosity was peaked so on my way to Indianapolis (I'm from Akron and pass through Columbus to get there) I stopped at Dari Point to get the infamous smurf cone. It was as they described. It's blue raspberry but not that creamy, yet not fruity enough to be sherbet. You really have to try it to know. It's the perfect blue raspberry. And they put cute little eyes and a beard of whipped cream (if you ask for Papa smurf). My husband got a red raspberry shake and loved it as well. Pretty decent prices, we only paid 5.50 for 2 things. Not bad for a roadside ice cream stand. We loved it so much that on our next trip to Indianapolis which was only 3 weeks after the last, we stopped at Dari Point AGAIN. On my first visit I saw a cute hand drawn sign for a green dragon shake so I was tempted to try that next. It was really good as well - but more creamy than fruity. Lemon lime ice cream mixed with vanilla. My husband got a shrimp basket which was really good, crispy and hot. I recommend to stop by Dari Point if you are in the area. Or even if you live an hour and 45 minutes away, it might make a nice day trip for ice cream connoisseur. read more

This is the old school spot for summer diner, food and ice cream. Located just a minute east of Downtown Delaware. They offer more types and styles of ice cream than you can think of. Plus they also offer many types of snack foods that would appeal to the diner feel and be a great snack while getting the kiddos or yourself some ice cream. As many times as we have been there and never had any complaints I would recommend this place to anyone who wants some diner style food. We have been to the competition before and came to realize that they aren't that competitive to Dari Point. They have so much to offer it's amazing. read more

I grew up in Delaware so Dairy Point was always a treat for me. From the days of walking about 10 miles to running with my cross country team this place has served me well for a great ice cream cone. I love the soft serve and hand dipped cones. The hand dipped cones can get really creative here as well! You could get anything from a smurf to mickey mouse. So now you know why kids love this place! There is ample space for sitting with the bench area. Also for putting you bike or car. Although I always tried to avoid driving here since I lived like down the road. So getting the energy to walk or run here felt more worth it, plus I was young with more energy. Not saying I'm not that energetic now, I just don't have I as much as I did back then. My dad was always a fan of the sherbert ice cream because it had the right amount of tart flavor. I went for anything on the menu, even the shredded chicken sandwiches. Oh my goodness were those delish back in the day! The customer service here was always great. They served each ice cream cone with a smile on their face when I was young. They even realized when my dad and I became regulars walking here and back so often. I can't wait to bring my husband back here soon! Those memories of coming here so often will never leave me. It's my childhood favorite spot for sure! read more

Local dairy bar in Delaware. Dari Point is a walk up ice cream joint. They have picnic benches to sit and enjoy your treats. They have a ton of choices from ice cream cones, slushies, hot food, and more. The vanilla ice cream is creamy and has a nice texture, it could use more vanilla flavor though. In the winter months it turns into the Nut House and they sell all kinds of nuts for holiday season. This is a good place to visit for an afternoon treat or a relaxed casual dinner. read more

Oh my! Dari Point is a wonderful local establishment. I have lived in Delaware since 2015 and have thought about visiting several times. The one day that I did was the most amazing experience! The black raspberry soft serve was tasty without being too sweet! The employees were friendly and efficient. It was a joy to wait for my ice cream with the other customers. I will return to Dari Point to try other creations they offer. read more

It was a nice day yesterday and my in laws were visiting from out of town so we decided to go out for ic cream. My father in law never turns ice cream. This is a cute place that's been here a long time. They have a rotating special that is homemade. I've been here 3 times and each time I've gotten the black and blue ice cream cone. It's a twist of black raspberry ice cream and blue raspberry sherbet. It tastes as good as it looks. They also serve all kinds of food too but I've yet to try them. Next time we're going for lunch and dessert both. Their prices are very reasonable and there's lots of parking. If you want to stay and eat they have several picnic tables. read more

I grew up on both Dairy Point's food and ice cream. One of their well known creations is called "the smurf"; blueberry sherbert in a cone complete with two candy eyes and a marshmallow nose. The "papa smurf" is similar but includes the top of the ice cream covered in cherry dip and a whipped cream beard. It's these originals and more that make memories in my childhood and beyond. I remember coming here when I was younger with a bag of change and buying all the warheads I could for a nickel a piece. They also have quarter machines for cutesy gadgets and temporary tattoos. Their food is not the most healthy but my usual choices consist of deep fried mini tacos or deep fried cheese sticks. I would also like to share that during the cold months they turn their ice cream shop into "The Nut Shop". They offer cashews, pecans, peanuts and more in brittle, honey roasted and other varieties. Cashew Brittle offers extreme buttery richness with the perfect crunch. Gift sets are also setup to purchase for holiday needs as well. A small downfall arethat the usual employees are high school freshman, so bear with them when ordering because often times they think chit-chatting is more important than customer service. When the owner has taken my order or his wife they've been more than attentive however. read more

Small towns always have the BEST ice cream shops! Delaware is no different. The Dari Point is indeed on a point where two roads meet as you head east out of town. Plenty of picnic benches to sit on, a little grassy area, and you can park about anywhere, if you're driving. They do have it all - hot dogs, footlongs, hamburgers, shredded chicken, onion rings, French fries, sundaes, shakes, cones - it's a junk food paradise. The staff were super-young, but super-friendly and patient with the 6- and 7-year olds who...are 6 and 7 and really, there is no such thing as committing to a treat choice at that age. Anyway, they were awesome and our order came out right quick. We took our niece, nephew and their cousin for an after-dinner treat. Banana splits and Papa Smurf ice cream cones will make even the most recalcitrant kid happy. No better reason to go than that! read more

I had the blue raspberry ice cream and my boyfriend had the black raspberry. Both where very good . Very friendly staff.

Stopped her after soccer and we saw the blue ice cream so of course we had to try. We got the smurf cones and they were adorable. Had a $20 Dari Point gift card from our DCS Sports Auction basket. Decided to go today. Our total was $11.30. They came back and said our card only had $8.70 on it. Hmm. I asked if they swiped it twice since the total was $20. The balance left on my card should've been $8.70 so it had to have been swiped twice! He said no, it was just a fluke. I had to pay an additional $2.60. The manager was very rude and pretty much acted like he thought I was stupid. There was a Domino's manager in there who came up to me outside to say she couldn't believe how he treated me. This was our first time there and our last. Dari Point, you can contact me tonight when you close and your register is over by $11.30. I will take it to a business who values their customers and who is honest! read more

A family owned local legend! Several types of soft serve and hand dip ice creams, floats, shakes, slushies, smoothies, cyclones, sundaes, banana splits, parfaits, and of course too much food to mention The staff is very accommodating with specific requests. I love a coney dog topped with cheese and slaw, and some fried pickles or cauliflower on the side; if I am there for dessert the Nuthouse parfait always hits the spot. Outside there is picnic table seating and ample parking on Winter street or in the parking lot. Open from February or March through September or October! Between Thanksgiving and Christmas stop by the same place and check out The Nuthouse for fresh roasted nuts, fudge, brittle, and gift baskets.
