I love the ice cream at this place and it is very close to where I live. My favorite kind of ice cream is orange sherbet.

Very old school, but very good! The employees are nice here, and even gave a dish of water to our pup. :)

We had a large party meet for an early dinner here. I am from out of town visiting relatives and…read morewas so impressed with how cute this restaurant is, the extensive "something for everyone" menu and the efficient counter ordering system and friendly staff who were eager to please. Our party tried a variety of dishes from All American Burger, Ruben Sandwich, Prime Rib French Dip and grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich. Sides selected ranged from fries, fruit and Mac & cheese. Food was brought to our table promptly. I had the prime rib french dip and meat was tender and plentiful; dipped in the beefy aujus which was perfect not too salty. I chased my sandwich down with some perfectly executed crispy fries. No to go boxes here as everyone finished their dishes. Sunbury is lucky to have such a local gem tucked into this cute downtown.

This was our first visit to this place. The gentleman who greeted us when we came through the door…read moreexplained the dining concept to us: one side was a self-serve and the other side with the bar was full-service. Since there were a number of couples waiting for the full service side we opted for the former. We ordered and paid at the counter. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a sweet potato and steamed broccoli while my husband ordered the grilled salmon with sweet potato and opted for a caesar salad in lieu of a second side. The grilled chicken breast was moist and well seasoned but it essentially was naked. It could have used a nice sauce like a bearnaise or some kind of salsa (maybe chutney) to jazz it up. The sweet potato was embarrassingly small. The broccoli was crisp tender but again was bereft of any sauce or just melted butter to make it yummy. My husband's entree was tasty but essentially was pretty bare. His salad was decent though. This restaurant must understand that the eye eats as well as the stomach because when the entrees arrived at our table the plates were rather underwhelming. We also ordered coffees and the gentlemen at the front said he would make a pot of fresh coffee. (He never did). The coffee we were served was old. Apparently, coffee isn't a big draw at this place. The best part was the gluten-free brownie and ice cream at the end. All in all, the place is nice and clean. The food is decent but there is room for improvement. Would we return since we are locals, I don't think so.

We stopped into Distract 13 and had the Mexican Street cork, which was plated nicely, but…read moreunfortunately we were not a fan. The flavor wasn't there and the chips were stale. We ordered the fried mozzarella which again was plated very nicely! They had great cheese pool and came out hot. We would have preferred the sauce on the bottom to not have been there since by the time we got to the last mozzarella it was soggy. They are definitely worth a try The mini corn dogs were good and the fresh fries perfectly cooked!! Whisky burger: the glaze was phenomenal, the burger flavorful but the bacon tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day and just warmed up. I would get again minus the bacon. The chicken Philly was filling and flavorful. I enjoyed the chips!!! 3 stars on food, 4 on service, 5 starts on decorations and atmosphere The kids burger with bacon was ok I was told and she didn't like the bacon either but the enjoyed the burgers without The kids Mac and cheese was good and creamy! Our server Wyatt was very nice and periodically checked in on us. Kids

Several TVs with a variety of sports on that was nice - a casual and cozy vibe. We got brussel sprouts and corn dip which were both incredible! I got the caprese chicken sandwich - would definitely recommend, moist and a great portion. Would definitely recommend!

It's a solid NO for me…read more The employees are super sweet and friendly and kind and we let them know it was our first time and they gave us some recommendations. They also told us the special for the day! We got a smash burger and a pork chop dinner! BOTH WAS NASTY! NO SEASONING at all!!!! and his asparagus was tasteless! He said it taste burnt! My fries we're really good! And my burger was so sloppy it fell apart I couldn't even eat it! I was turned off! TOO MUCH MEAT AND TOPPINGS NOT ENOUGH BREAD! Sad to say we didn't wanna be rude so we took the food and threw it away outside the restaurant. Our bill was $40 and we did tip. There were alot of flys and this dinner is really small! Maybe about 10 tables tops! Small little town and we got to learn a little about the town from the landmarks out front which were pretty cool! Will be be back NO, was the customer service good YES! Go try them out and tell me what you think!

The hash was...meh. Kind of over cooked and not a lot of flavor. Is burned a flavor? The gravy was abysmal. Sour. What's up with that? Sour sausage gravy? Do they use buttermilk or something? Whatever their recipe is, throw it out and start over. The atmosphere was decent and our waitress was friendly. That's about the only reason they're getting two stars.

I visited this restaurant one time, which was more than enough. I stopped for lunch. I ordered…read morechicken wings, expecting breaded, fried wings. They came out looking like plain, boiled wings and very unappealing. Also ordered a side, also unappetizing. Sent both back and ordered chili. There was a five dollar difference between my first order and the chili. The server gave me a bill for the meal I sent back and got mad when I pointed it out and politely asked for the correct one. She argued that they were the same. When she returned with the right one, she slapped it down on the table and was very rude. Why would I ever return?

Where Breakfast Pizza Rules and the Morning Rush Tests Your Patience Skills…read more I swung into PJ's Family Restaurant because someone whispered the words breakfast pizza, and honestly, that's all the marketing I need. I ordered it -- and wow. Very good. So good, in fact, that I'm now convinced their regular pizza is probably amazing too. I must return for scientific research. This place was super crowded at 9:00 AM. I'm talking "half the county wanted eggs at the same time" crowded. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which at least gave me front-row seating for the Breakfast Olympics happening. The servers? Absolutely slammed. They were doing laps around the restaurant like they were training for a marathon. Zero blame -- just respect. If you come here during peak hours, bring patience. And maybe a snack. I also grabbed to-go fuel for the tribe: biscuits and gravy, French toast, and bacon -- classic hits across the board. They inhaled everything with the enthusiasm of people who hadn't eaten in 3 days. I'll definitely be back -- but next time I'll arrive earlier, like the seasoned diner ninja I aspire to be. Final Verdict: PJ's serves comfort food worth the wait, breakfast pizza worth a pilgrimage, and morning chaos with a smile.
