I love the ice cream at this place and it is very close to where I live. My favorite kind of ice cream is orange sherbet.

Very old school, but very good! The employees are nice here, and even gave a dish of water to our pup. :)

A cute spot with lots of picnic tables to sit at, but the ice cream was super disappointing. We…read moreordered a chocolate milkshake and 2 scoops in a bowl with blueberry pie and birthday cake ice cream. The milk shake was pretty flavorless. I'm thinking they add too much milk as you could barely taste any chocolate flavor. The scoops of ice cream had decent flavor, but blueberry pie had an overwhelming number of large ice crystals throughout it that was very off putting. Parking is pretty tight on a colder spring day, so I can't imagine it at peak summer times. To me it's not worth any hassle for this level of disappointment.

They serve Johnson's Ice Cream which is made in near by Bexley Ohio. Johnsons has great ice cream if you haven't had it... try it you will love it. I guess here they add googley eyes to the ice cream. I just love that. I didnt get ice cream. I decided to go with a house made cookie. Butterscotch. They're true to their name my cookie was slathered in butterscotch syrup too. So my hands were super sticky! You might want to make sure you have wipes somewhere in the car. (i did). But wow. Great cookie. Wasnt expecting that. Will definitely be back next season. Couldnt find anything wrong. A+

Super creamy ice creams with lots of flavor options Friendly service Cons: 6 dollars a scoop The caramel flavor didn't taste anything like caramel. If I closed my eyes I would have guessed it was vanilla. I'll try another flavor the next time. Pro tip: If you are visiting Buckeye Lake, it's worth a visit for the novelty.

I'm not a big ice cream person, but I do love sweets, especially a sweets shop with history. I ordered a banana split. Though, it was difficult to decide what to order! This place has a peaceful vibe, but the signage is a little chaotic -- it's like walking up to a Dr. Bronner's bottle. I had to stand there for a bit and read everything while the poor girl behind the counter waited for me to get my bearings. (Luckily I was the only one in the shop at the time.) There are different colored signs everywhere, listing daily specials, new items, and things you can buy that aren't ice cream, like bags of ice and local honey. The banana split was delicious: A perfectly ripe banana split between two scoops of ice cream -- I chose vanilla and chocolate. It's topped with whipped cream, crushed nuts, and a cherry on top. It's one of those desserts where you lose track of time when you eat it, or at least I did. All of my concentration went toward eating that magnificent ice cream concoction as quickly as possible. I decided to shovel it into my face on the big porch, which overlooks the Buckeye Lake canal. There is also seating indoors, too. Weldon's is a must-visit if you're in the Buckeye Lake area!
