The Hog Stack, great BBQ sauce
    Barry H.

Decided to check out Big Walnut Grill today. Ordered the Hog Stack, it comes with fries. Also ordered some Baked Beans. Pretty big bar and restaurant in the Big Walnut Plaza. Plenty of tvs and tables and booths. My waitress was Lindsey. She was phenomenal. Checked in numerous times. On to the food The Hog Stack was a disaster for me, went to pick it up and the whole bottom was soaked. The pork was flavorless, you could tell the onion straws had been sitting as they weren't warm at all. The fries are frozen seasoned fries which were just okay. The star of the show surprisingly was the Baked Beans. They were super flavorful. Should another bowl of them. Even though this was a miss, I think I definitely wii be back.

Peach cosmo - recommendation from bartender
    Teresa M.

Lunch at walnut grill. Seated in bar area, bartender was in it. Ordered cosmo she suggested a peach cosmo - why not, very refreshing great choice. Unfortunately drank 3 and did not feel the least bit tipsy but may have to do with what I ate, not sure but will keep in mind next trip. Started with cosmo App - chicken tenders plain buffalo/ranch on the side delicious and fresh Walnut grill salad no celery with salmon - one of my absolute favorites, on point Everything came out with good timing. Bartender was friendly. Highly recommend

Service is terrible. The food is pretty good but to just not come back and check on your customers is sad.

Food matches the service. Very ordinary. Nice outdoor new patio. But we tend to stay away. There are other better local alternatives.

We ordered the fried mozzarella which again was plated very nicely! They had great cheese pool and came out hot. We would have preferred the sauce on the bottom to not have been there since by the time we got to the last mozzarella it was soggy. They are definitely worth a try The mini corn dogs were good and the fresh fries perfectly cooked!! Whisky burger: the glaze was phenomenal, the burger flavorful but the bacon tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day and just warmed up. I would get again minus the bacon. The chicken Philly was filling and flavorful. I enjoyed the chips!!! 3 stars on food, 4 on service, 5 starts on decorations and atmosphere The kids burger with bacon was ok I was told and she didn't like the bacon either but the enjoyed the burgers without The kids Mac and cheese was good and creamy! Our server Wyatt was very nice and periodically checked in on us. Kids

I am from out of town visiting relatives and…read morewas so impressed with how cute this restaurant is, the extensive "something for everyone" menu and the efficient counter ordering system and friendly staff who were eager to please. Our party tried a variety of dishes from All American Burger, Ruben Sandwich, Prime Rib French Dip and grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich. Sides selected ranged from fries, fruit and Mac & cheese. Food was brought to our table promptly. I had the prime rib french dip and meat was tender and plentiful; dipped in the beefy aujus which was perfect not too salty. I chased my sandwich down with some perfectly executed crispy fries. No to go boxes here as everyone finished their dishes. Sunbury is lucky to have such a local gem tucked into this cute downtown.

The gentleman who greeted us when we came through the door…read moreexplained the dining concept to us: one side was a self-serve and the other side with the bar was full-service. Since there were a number of couples waiting for the full service side we opted for the former. We ordered and paid at the counter. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a sweet potato and steamed broccoli while my husband ordered the grilled salmon with sweet potato and opted for a caesar salad in lieu of a second side. The grilled chicken breast was moist and well seasoned but it essentially was naked. It could have used a nice sauce like a bearnaise or some kind of salsa (maybe chutney) to jazz it up. The sweet potato was embarrassingly small. The broccoli was crisp tender but again was bereft of any sauce or just melted butter to make it yummy. My husband's entree was tasty but essentially was pretty bare. His salad was decent though. This restaurant must understand that the eye eats as well as the stomach because when the entrees arrived at our table the plates were rather underwhelming. We also ordered coffees and the gentlemen at the front said he would make a pot of fresh coffee. (He never did). The coffee we were served was old. Apparently, coffee isn't a big draw at this place. The best part was the gluten-free brownie and ice cream at the end. All in all, the place is nice and clean. The food is decent but there is room for improvement. Would we return since we are locals, I don't think so.

They came out looking like plain, boiled wings and very unappealing. Also ordered a side, also unappetizing. Sent both back and ordered chili. There was a five dollar difference between my first order and the chili. The server gave me a bill for the meal I sent back and got mad when I pointed it out and politely asked for the correct one. She argued that they were the same. When she returned with the right one, she slapped it down on the table and was very rude. Why would I ever return?

Where Breakfast Pizza Rules and the Morning Rush Tests Your Patience Skills…read more I swung into PJ's Family Restaurant because someone whispered the words breakfast pizza, and honestly, that's all the marketing I need. I ordered it -- and wow. Very good. So good, in fact, that I'm now convinced their regular pizza is probably amazing too. I must return for scientific research. This place was super crowded at 9:00 AM. I'm talking "half the county wanted eggs at the same time" crowded. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which at least gave me front-row seating for the Breakfast Olympics happening. The servers? Absolutely slammed. They were doing laps around the restaurant like they were training for a marathon. Zero blame -- just respect. If you come here during peak hours, bring patience. And maybe a snack. I also grabbed to-go fuel for the tribe: biscuits and gravy, French toast, and bacon -- classic hits across the board. They inhaled everything with the enthusiasm of people who hadn't eaten in 3 days. I'll definitely be back -- but next time I'll arrive earlier, like the seasoned diner ninja I aspire to be. Final Verdict: PJ's serves comfort food worth the wait, breakfast pizza worth a pilgrimage, and morning chaos with a smile.
