My wife and I had wanted to try Crossroads for years because of its reputation, which made our experience even more disappointing. My wife's burger was significantly overcooked. We ordered the fresh-cut fries, but what we received looked and tasted much more like frozen fries, with an unusually dry, brittle texture that crumbled apart instead of having the soft interior I'd expect from fresh-cut potatoes. The lemonade contained so much syrup that I waited for the ice to melt before I could drink it. There was also a noticeable restroom deodorizer odor drifting into the dining room because the restroom doors were open, our service was poor, and our bill included a convenience fee that I hadn't noticed disclosed before ordering. The disappointing meal prompted this review. The way the complaint was handled afterward is why it remains. Reading the owner's public response, I was left with the impression that the restaurant considered itself incapable of making a mistake. Instead of acknowledging that our visit may not have met its own standards, the response focused extensively on explaining why my experience couldn't have happened as I described. I then reached out privately because I wasn't looking for a refund, free food, or an argument. I simply wanted someone to acknowledge that we had a poor experience. I even offered to remove this review in exchange for a sincere apology. As of today, I have not received a reply. Restaurants have bad days, and I understand that. Great local pub & grub spot. Service is phenomenal- drinks stay full and with a smile. Food is fantastic, can't go wrong with any of the menu options. Inside gives a sporty, hometown vibe. Seat yourself, lots of TVs at bar and tables. Beer and liquor alike are cheap. Our party of 3 ate and got a good buzz on $60. Our normal restaurant that we get Stromboli at has not performed well the past couple times so we thought we would try crossroads Stromboli. Both of ours was very good. Mine was pepperoni and my wife had sausage and mushroom. Service was good. The restaurant has plenty of seating and several tvs throughout the restaurant with a variety of sports on. I've been by this place a few times and finally stopped in. It's a comfy little place on the corner of 13 & 40. The food was amazing and I'd strongly recommend the pot roast sandwich!! YUM!! We came into town for Thanksgiving with family, my parents live down the road and this is the only place close. We walked in with 4 adults and 2 kids and got a warm greeting when we walked into the front door. Welcome and happy thanksgiving, we will put a couple tables together for you give us 5 min. It took 2 min and she sat us right down, grabbed drink orders and said to look over menu. It's a bar/restaurant with a nice sized menu, for what it is and the area it was good. Priced right and friendly staff. The night before thanksgiving it got a little busy so service was maybe a touch slow but expected and we weren't in a rush. The drinks are stiff and cheap which was a plus, the food was good. Overall if you're in the area it's worth a stop, try it out. read more

New to the area , so first time here , we were greeted immediately by our waitress who was wonderful. Started with boneless chicken wings with celery and ranch - so good ! The celery was delicious so crispy and fresh and cold ( my favorite) I ordered the grilled chicken salad - very big and fresh with homemade croutons , tomatoes, cheese and ranch dressing. This was horrible. Frozen French fries. Soggy bread. Way over cooked, mushy mac and cheese, weak sauces, and on top of it all, it smells like urine pretty bad. We went in at 5:30 for dinner with our child on a Monday night not knowing that it had become a bar/restaurant. The patrons at the bar were very loud and we could hear their unsavory conversations over the blaring country music on the over head radio. I would not suggest this place to eat dinner with family. If I were there to have some drinks (unlikely) I might order food after having a few, if you catch my drift. This is just a bar with food now. I come here with some friends after work every Friday I'm in town. I get the boneless nuclear and they are amazing. Pretty hot, but full of flavor...and they are meaty too. You don't get that occasional bite of just breading you will sometimes get at a BW3s. They also have Weaselboy on tap, which is another plus. Not a family place, so I wouldn't recommend if you have kids with you. *Edit : for about a month there the quality of chicken was severely lacking...as well as how it was cooked. Sat down ordered 2 beers and took so long to get those beers that the only other server on duty asked if we had been helped. Ordered food, food was good. The customer service was piss poor. You would have thought it would have killed the server to even crack a smile or prented she was happy to be there. When an item was questioned on the bill the servers snide remark was..."our computer system won't allow me to fix that." Unfortunately this is not the first time with this same server. They did a nice job on the remodel when they bought the place but the service was pretty bad. Our server ignored us for the majority of my family's meal. She was more concerned with throwing herself at the table of men next to us. The food is okay at best. Nothing I couldn't pull out of the freezer and heat up myself. The fish sandwich was nothing more than a couple of fish sticks on a bun with an american single on it that wasn't even melted. I tried this place when it first opened and tried it again recently. I recently held a family celebration here and in spite of having made arrangements with management ahead of time, the evening was a disaster. They "forgot" to have the wait staff save the tables we were promised so instead we were put on the smoking patio on a 37 degree evening. The waitress who took care of us, Kim, was amazing! She tried to comfort me as I was extremely embarrassed. Our family and friends sat in their coats because only two of the three small heaters were working. We also had a newborn in the group who we kept zipped in his carrier and sent home early because of the cold. In fact, most people only stayed two hours because it was uncomfortable and fairly dark after the sun went down. I had looked forward to this day for a long time and wanted it to be special.
