Great and well-lighted place. They have a cool vibe and nice menu and attentive service. Would recommend for some authentic mediterranean treats. The pork chops were especially tasty. read more

Loved this place. I was in town staying at the Hampton Inn and found this gem within walking distance of the hotel. I had a chicken breast plate with a pear lemonade. Fresh, tasty and great value. The pear lemonade was refreshing and different. The folks that worked there could not have been nicer. read more

First time lunch today here was awesome. The vibe seems bigger with the rich sound of friends yammering away over delicious food. The house was hopping. Small kitchen and bar jammed with staff beautifully choreographed. It was a show. "Excuse me who takes our order?" "I can." Right on. "Do you want ice?" "Yes please." "No need to wait. We will bring it." Right on. If you want a delightful surprise check it out. Service is tip top. Food is legit ethnic goodness. Thank you for that. I'll be back. read more

My coworkers and I visit this place often because we really like your food, the chicken is very tasty and not dry at all! On my last review I mentioned about them not putting butter in my order and i was told by the cashier that i have to ask for butter.. Well this last time I placed 3 online orders and mentioned and all 3 plates that i want butter, I went to pick up my order and noticed they only put one butter for each plate? So I asked for more and the cashier said " Oh I'm all out of butter, whatever i gave you was my last they haven't brought my shipment yet" What a coincidence she only had 3 left? I bought 3 plates and only get 3 butters? Are you guys limited on your butter because if that's the case that's totally fine i would just appreciate it if that was mentioned instead of saying "I gave you the last i had".. It would also help other customers if you put that side note while placing a order online. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. It was a total accident. I was visiting a customer Down the block and I decided to give it a try. I tried the beef and chicken lula kabobs. Omg !! The flavors are amazing. The humans and eggplant are also top notch. I've gotten the same dish the few times I've been there. But I'll be trying new things next time. read more

I order through Postmates a lot lately and my whole family loves it. The hummus is delicious along with everything else.

This place has stellar delivery it's almost like they knew l wanted some steak with lunchtime HBO. Thanks for the excellent service.

It makes no sense that this place has 5 stars on Yelp. A friend and I decided to try this place on the basis of it's rating, and either the world is clamoring for sub-par Mediterranean food or all those five-star, one-line reviews are written by friends/family/people-charging-$20-per-Yelp-review-on-Craigslist. This place is simply not good. I don't write many reviews, but this place is so horribly overrated that I felt a moral obligation to put up a bad review to warn people off of it and normalize the clearly-inflated score. Yes, the location is tragic and the front door looks like something you'd find on a warehouse, giving the restaurant a "hole in the wall" vibe. Maybe that hipster sense of "cool authenticity" deluded everyone into thinking the food here was any good? My friend and I both got the lamb chop with hummus and eggplant caviar. The hummus was good - not the best I've ever had, but good. The lamb chops were overcooked, not great quality-meat, and just pretty bland and flavorless. The eggplant caviar? Suffice it to say that my friend and I each tried one bite of it and left the rest sitting on the plate. The service was a bit slow and inattentive given how few customers were there and the number of people working behind the counter (I think they may have outnumbered us), but the rating is solidly for the food quality, not service, decor, or atmosphere. I seriously cannot understand how this place has FIVE STARS on Yelp. This is the first time I've been completely misled by Yelp. Don't make the mistake we did! read more

So far my fave Mediterranean restaurant in Burbank. Price is great. The lules are flavorful and moist. The chicken and beef kabobs are yummy too. I wish my grandma made something as good as their's makes the eggplant caviar. We always get one for the table. I like that you can choose any two sides with every meal. Other places just give you a roasted tomato and call it a day. At tonir I can can choose from the aforementioned eggplant caviar, sarma, hummus, tabuleh, house and Greek salad, pickled veggies, etc. There's a large screen tv mounted on the wall to watch the game and they might still have the cardboard cutout of the Dos Equis most interesting man in the world for you to take a pic with :) It can take awhile for my order to arrive. I've never seen the place busy and I don't think the location is ideal for a restaurant. I'm sure if they were in downtown Burbank or somewhere with more foot traffic, business would be better. Then again, maybe I come on off days. More eggplant caviar for me! read more

Love at first bite! This place was recommended to me by my friend jack who said "it's just like mamas cooking". I got their lamb chops that were mouth watering with a side of salad and rice. This was definitely a authentic cuisine restaurant! read more

We stopped by at Tonir's for lunch the other day. The food is delicious can't argue with that and the service is great as well. But not to fond with it's location, it's located in an industrial area. Not somewhere I would go to for Dinner, nothing fancy about this place. read more

Awesome food everytime! Real family oriented place. Great environment. Fancy place without the fancy attitude or prices. There's a free pool table! N they serve beer n wine;)! read more

Friendly staff! Amazing food. I'm a little skeptical about trying new places but I'm glad I did!! Delicious!!!

Got the salmon plate with a tabouli salad and yogurt dip as a side. The salmon and dip were super delicious. Salmon was nice and crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. I've had better tabouli salad but it was still great. Would def come back! read more

While I appreciate the free delivery ($15 minimum order) their idea of a Greek Salad comes with literally a head of cheap Iceberg lettuce, sliced mini black olives (from a can) not Kalamata, tomatoes, crumbled Feta (the kind you get from the supermarket in a tub) and random hot sauce sprinkled on it....I think not. The lamb chops were under seasoned and extremely under cooked. All of this for $21. I think Daphnes is a better deal and better place than this. PASS.... read more

Nice place just ok food. The service was great but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. Their hummus tasted eh, like it was from a can. The rest of the meal was okay at best. Nothing special as far as Middle Eastern Food is concerned. read more

I have ordered delivery from this cafe twice in a month. It is very easy to do here on Yelp! The first time I ordered chicken and beef kabobs, rice, hummus and yogurt with cucumbers. I liked everything; however I Loved the yogurt with cucumbers ~ Delicious! Because the service was so fast and friendly and the food was tasty and of good quality, I ordered again. This time I selected the lamb chops, Jalapeno hummus, eggplant caviar and a large order of yogurt and cucumbers. The lamb is Very good! Tender and meaty, I will definitely be getting this again. I found the regular hummus good but bland, so the Jalapeno hummus is much better in my opinion. I am not a fan of eggplant, but was feeling adventurous and since other reviewers liked the eggplant caviar I chose it and was happy with the decision. It is light and almost marinara like; very good for dipping the pita into. The garlic spread is very yummy and the rice is fluffy and tender. Again, the service was super fast (under 30 min at 7:00 on a Friday night) and friendly. Pleased to have found this place, I will certainly order from here again. read more

I came here for dinner today (Thursday). Very laid back guy at the counter who made some good recommendations. I had the veggie plate with four appetizers, which by itself could have been a light meal. I paired it with a six piece chicken skewer. Chicken pieces were well seasoned and cooked properly. The men's bathroom was clean, and the establishment is much bigger than it appears from the outside. It's within walking distance of Hampton Inn. read more

Delicious and reasonably priced. Chicken kebab was tender and flavorful, with equally enjoyable sides included. Great for lunch. I stopped in one day while working on a weeklong project nearby. I ended up going back here almost every day for the rest of the week. Why go anywhere else? read more

The food is good enough, but every time we've ordered delivery here they mess up. Our business has been ordering lunch here for while but we stopped when someone found hair in one of the plates a few months back. We try ordering here again after a while and they of course mess up our order, back then they automatically gave us hummus but when we got our food this time it wasn't included and when I called and asked about it they said that it's because I didn't ask for it but I was never given the option when ordering. That was the very last straw. We shouldn't have gone back after the hair in the food. read more

Place is right next door to work so it makes sense that I'd try it out. That was four months ago and I'm hooked! Food is great, always fresh and flavorful! Service is friendly and these people hustle! It is always busy in there but they always have time to be friendly and make small talk. Order ahead for pick up during lunch hour or you're gonna be waiting 20 mins! Foods amazing Tonir Cafe! Keep up the good work! read more

The garlic paste is so good. Can't go wrong with the Beef Kabob Plate w Rice and Jalapeno Hummus.... delish!

First time trying this place the food was so good I will order again for sure prices are good and the reviews also they delivered on time. I got the chicken lule kabob with hummus and salad also I got hummus on the side. So good fresh and yummy read more

When looking for this place on your smartphone, you may drive up and down N San Fernando wondering how a restaurant would be located among a bunch of warehouses. We spent 15 minutes trying to find Tonir when all we had to do was look ACROSS THE RAILROAD TRACKS. Needless to say, we were frustrated but the food did not disappoint. This restaurant had a mom and pop vibe to it and the food tasted authentic. We had 3 people in our party and all of us ordered the chicken plate. Although it took ~15 minutes (they probably cook to order) for the food to come out, it was worth the wait. The rice was the fluffiest I've ever eaten (being asian, that says something) and the chicken was juicy and moist! You have the option of any 2 sides if you don't want the traditional roasted tomato/pepper. This is the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Slap your mama good. These kabobs are great and so is the jalapeño hummus. The staff was friendly and quick. The only con are the seats, they are not comfortable at all and the deco is kinda weird. But a great meal for a good price. read more

We visited Tonir for dinner. It is very nice and spacious which you would never know from the outside since its tucked away in an industrial area on San Fernando. Food was very tasty. I got the Cornish chicken, the kids split a chicken kabob plate and husband got the beef kabob plate. There was a nice flavor to everything although the kids thoughts the chicken kabob was a little spicy for their tastes. We also got a lentil soup. For our sides we got hummus, cucumber yogurt, grape leaves and the eggplant caviar. I thought the eggplant caviar would be like baba ganoush but it was more like ratatouille and was the only thing I didn't care for. The service was awesome, although it was a bit slow for them. And everything was so inexpensive. We will definitely be back and will probably become regulars. read more

Came here for lunch with my coworkers. It was delicious. The chicken breast kebab was super flavorful and juicy I ended up subbing the rice for Greek salad, best option I made with a side of jalapeño hammos. Super healthy, definitely coming back here to try the salmon and beef. read more

This area is hard to find good food. This spot is a hidden gem. From the outside looks like a warehouse or some sort of business other than food but inside is nicely set up. Food is pretty good. Good sides and meat. Will be going back for sure. read more

A co-worker of mine went here for lunch take-out and I had been considering coming here for a while. Good thing I had another co-worker that I have had been going out to lunch frequently and I owed him a meal. So we got here to Tonir. Outside, doesn't look much. As you enter inside, it's another different universe. It's nice and cool, especially the hot weather is unbearable outside. The staff is very warming and welcoming. The menu is right to the point. It's not that expensive and very affordable. The last time I had kebob was in Irvine. I ordered the Chicken Lule with pear lemonade which came along with appetizers. I had ordered grape leaves and hummus. OMG! As soon as my plate arrives and the chicken enters my mouth, flavors started exploding my taste buds!!! I could not believe what I was eating!!! I heard "hallelujiah song" continuously playing in the background of my concious!! Wow!!! It did take some time to cook, but with a long awaited time span.. comes out perfection!! I can't wait until next week to come back and try the cherry soda.. and maybe a sandwich!!! Keep up the good work and definitely compliments to the cook. I might try the baklavah! :) read more
