Yummy cupcakes. Lots of icing on top. Pretty. Nice presentation. Variety of cupcake frosting flavors. Most of the flavor was in the topping. The bottom part of the cupcake was more or less a standard chocolate cake or a vanilla cake batter. See photo of Oreo cupcake versus the one with the strawberry gummy on top. The cake part itself was not too wet and not too dry.

Supporting local tastes great....literally.... i have not met a cupcake i didn't like here. The frosting is the best part. They sell lots of other items. Their Pokémon cards machine is my son's favorite. Staff is always super nice and the place has a very inviting little seating area. Cozy Cute and Delicious.

Toasted Mallow has both a physical store front and a food truck. I encountered the latter. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of marshmallows but they had milkshakes which I do like. What I love most about them is that they toast their marshmallows in such a way that I enjoyed it a lot. The milkshake cost me $9 but it was absolutely delicious. Give them a try if you see them at a local festival.

I live in Tucson and anytime I'm in the area I spot in here. This last time it was when I was in my way back. Being super hot I took a risk and brought more home than I really should have (I really don't need the calories but it's so yummy!). I got half a dozen cupcakes and they were packaged well that they made it home in one piece. Each one was so delicious. If I lived in the area I would be in trouble. I'm also making my way through their shakes. This last time I got the frozen hot chocolate and it was so good. I can hardly wait for my next trip.

Wow oh wow is this place good. First they have so many things to try. From cupcakes! Ice crea, cookies, drinks, marshelmmos and more!! Staff is so nice and so many fun flavors and combos. We tried the frozen hot chocolate which was the best thing I've ever had! Topped with a toasted marshmallow the marshellow fluff on top was to die for!!!!! We also got some cookie dough stuffed marshmallows that were good. But I'm dreaming of their marshmallow fluff and need to go grab a jar of that stuff.

I can't get enough of Toasted Mallow and I keep forgetting to come here more often. I love that their marshmallow fluff and cremes aren't extremely sweet. I think they strike the right balance of sweetness. Their baked good are super delicious as well. I'm bummed I only remembered the one picture but my son really enjoyed their Oreo cupcake. The red velvet cookie with marshmallow creme was so good. They're super nice and ready to answer any questions. It's small inside so it's more of a take and go.

This was so fun! I loved all of the different choices, toppings, and fresh fluff available for sweets. From shakes to cupcakes to cake bites to smores. The littles loved it, and the shakes to enjoy. We decided to get a flight of 6 cupcakes for $23. We tried the pumpkin cheesecake, biscoff, red velvet, mocha caramel, strawberry, and smore. I highly recommend the pumpkin cheesecake. They had surprise fillings and were so soft. Delicious isn't even the right word. It was perfection. Service was 10/10. Quick and helpful. I highly recommend coming in, saying hello and saying thank you afterwards. I can't wait to come back!

This place makes great cupcakes. Been loyal for years. Last week I preordered for Mother's Day and got them delivered. Apparently they hired door dash for the delivery. The guy that delivered them didn't ring the door bell. Just placed them on the porch in 90 degree heat. So we got melted cupcakes, topped over to boot. I called to complain but was told it was a problem with door dash and not their issue. If I had a choice in who delivered it I could go with that, but I didn't. The lack of accountability means I'll never be back.

Locally owned LGBT+ business that does great catering orders; which my company has utilized two years in a row for Pride Month. The sweet treats were a delicious way to celebrate Pride and I've heard they have a cute, cozy shop if I ever get a chance to stop in. Definitely would if in the area!

HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS This place is amazing. Everything from scratch from marshmallows to milk shakes, cookies, brownies, donuts, and even coffee drinks. If you can think of it they are incorporating marshmallows into it. And it you have never had a FRESH Mallow you are truly missing out. Heaven! We love marshmallow so we were so excited to come here! There's a whole waffle of various flavors of homemade marshmallows. there is a whole counter full of different flavored cupcakes. there's a menu just for various s'mores that you can make. and a whole menu of various shakes you can order as well. so much sweets! i'm not going to tell you how much money we spent... But it was a lot! I got a box of 24 cupcakes to take to a family party as well as a bunch of flavors of marshmallows and two shakes. This is a really fun place! My daughter even bought a marshmallow cookbook so she can make her own! read more

Freaking A!!! Any other so-called "marshmallow" you've had is a dirty impostor!!! First, Tricia graciously and happily helped me with a custom order. Second! The order items were amazing and loved by those who received them. Third! You don't know marshmallows until you've been here! The husband and I were looking for a place to get a milkshake after dinner last night, and Toasted Mallow came up on my Yelp search. The building itself is quite welcoming and nicely decorated. The woman working at the counter explained the menu to us and was very pleasant. We tried our free marshmallow pop, courtesy of checking in on Yelp, and it was delicious. The marshmallow wasn't very sticky, and the white chocolate with the sprinkles (I don't typically like white chocolate) made the marshmallow taste like a sweet frosting! We opted for a Funky Monkey milkshake, which was a combination of chocolate, peanut butter, and banana. We couldn't identify any banana in the milkshake, which was disappointing. We really loved the toasted marshmallow on top as well as the marshmallow fluff instead of traditional whipped cream. Overall, it was a solid chocolate peanut butter milkshake. I would definitely come back to try one of the gourmet s'mores! read more

What a fun little shop! I've been lurking on their IG page for months and finally made the trip in. I bought their oatmeal mellow pie and a traditional rice crispy treat. The oatmeal mellow pie was so good! You tasted the oatmeal in the cookie and the cookie was soft without being crumbly. The marshmallow creme in the middle was gooey and yummy. Sweet without an overpowering sugar after taste. I really could eat a spoonful of the mallow in a jar, which they do sell. The rice crispy treat I saved for the next day. When I ate that, it separated really well and was not dry at all. Such a great treat. If I don't want to venture back to Gilbert, then I can still buy their products online. They had marshmellows with snowmen faces for hot cocoa toppers and many more marshmallow products. And the owner loves to advertise and support other small businesses! read more

Whoever thought that using marshmallows as an artistic medium was a genius! Walking in, you could see the anticipatory glee on the faces of the folks working behind the counter. They clearly don't get tired of explaining all the delicious treats strewn about the shelves, and delight in describing the steps to build a gourmet s'mores treat. My wife and I decided to split a Cookies and Cream. We asked for light browning on the marshmallow, which was easily obliged. They use a butane torch, like the kind for expertly glazing crème brûlée. From there, it was topped with frosting, Oreos, and we opted for an indulgent cookie dough scoop. We almost went with ice cream too. Next time for sure! All the creativity and flavors together are truly remarkable and I highly recommend Toasted Mallow kids, adults, and anyone looking to relive some campfire memories. read more

The treats at Toasted Mallow are as delicious as they are beautiful. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to sign the petition and ordered a Goofy Goober milkshake and selected two marshmallow pops for my kiddos. The service was friendly and the owner greeted me personally. The milkshake was topped with a toasted marshmallow, tons of fluff and delicious PB candies. It was rich, decadent and huge! I could only finish half of it, so the rest went into my freezer for a day two treat! This is exactly the kind of small business we need more of in Arizona and who we need to be sure to support! I've wanted to come in a dozen times now, and I finally got my wish last night. The store is wonderful inside, there are places to sit, two couples happened to be playing cards last night and eating. We went in, they greeted us, and offered to explain their menu. It was really clear on the wall as well allowing us time to read and really decide how we wanted our custom smore to be made. I chose a Grasshopper, mint and chocolate. Hub got an Elvis. PB and banana. She made it at the counter for us and gave it to go per our request because it's for today's dessert. That marshmallow is the most delicious thing I've ever eaten too. It's thick and it's exactly the perfect size for a dessert. They aren't sticky either, not last night or today after storing for a day I'll probably eat in the store next time. We have a new card game for my new favorite dessert shop. We've been wanting to try Toasted Mallow for a while and finally tried it today. We were greeted right away and the service was great, very kind staff. There were quite a few people sitting down inside which is good to see. The shop was very cute and had shelves with individually packed treats, a cute menu with s'mores, shakes, cupcakes, cake pops, coffee, etc. We tried a few cupcakes and s'mores and they were very good!! Happy Camper Milkshakes I love making the drive out to Gilbert to support this small business! I always end up getting the same delicious milkshake but always grab a cute and yummy marshmallow square or cookie dough bites from their retail shelves. At this time I went during a HUGE rush as many customers were signing the petition but the workers were doing their best to keep up as each item takes extra time to create. The service was really good and the s'mores were okay but the cupcakes were disgusting. I love all things sweet and I ordered a half dozen cupcakes (all different flavors) to try and every one of them tasted stale/rotten and I legit almost threw up twice trying a tiny bite of 2 of them. Sucks that I paid over $20 for the cupcakes to be thrown into the trash. read more

You ever eaten something so delicious that you didn't care how messy it was or how much you got in your beard/hair? Welcome to Toasted Mallow. We drove by this spot after the farmers market this morning and then my wife looked it up. I had no choice. We had to go back tonight. And after having to drive around Gilbert to find a bathroom for the child we were able to dive in. Not kidding. One of the messiest things I've ever eaten, but dang was it good. Awesome concept. Killer delivery. And a super nice staff. So many different options for toasted marshmallows too. We went with the Elvis for all the peanut butter and bananas mixed in. Just awesome. read more

Upon walking in the employees took the time to give me a run down of the menu. I was impressed that so many of the ingredients are made in house. I ordered the birthday shake and it was beyond decadent. I love sweets but one shake is shareable. The toasted mallow topper on the shake was my favorite part. We were really excited to try something different than the usual ice cream or bakery dessert options. The store is super cute inside, lots of wood, blue and white. The guy working was really friendly and asked if it was our first time in. When we said it was, he gave us a rundown of everything in the store; from marshmallows to-go to the s'mores bar. We had to try the s'mores bar of course. You have the option of getting your choice of marshmallow between two cookies or in a graham cracker bowl. They have pre made options or you can totally customize your own. I got the Elvis in a graham cracker bowl. Peanut butter marshmallow, topped with peanut butter, chocolate and bananas. It was a lot, a total sugar rush, but it was good. I've never been super into marshmallow but if you are, you'll be in heaven. My girlfriend got the birthday cake between chocolate chip cookies. They forgot the sprinkles but hey, they're more for decoration anyways. She liked it a lot but couldn't finish both of the cookies. So sweet! So good! We also got an Oreo rice krispy treat and a marshmallow pop (free with yelp check in!). They have super cute stickers too. Additionally, they have drinks such as coffee beverages and shakes available. Overall I would highly recommend stopping in and checking it out. It's something different and executed well. read more

Firstly, I'd like to say that the staff here was phenomenal. They greeted us upon entry and asked if we had been in before, explaining how to create your own s'mores dessert. I tried the nutty professor in the graham cracker bowl (other choice is between cookies), and it was very good. They even ask you how much you'd like your marshmallow's toasted. They also serve coffee drinks, lattes, milkshakes, etc. so check this place out if you have a sweet tooth. The sign outside says "Fluff it", but they're the same! read more

Toasted Mallow dessert shop has reinvented an american classic, the marshmallow! We specialize in giving you the BIGGEST and FLUFFIEST best tasting gourmet marshmallows around. Our Dessert Shop has a full S'mores Bar where you choose a s'mores off the menu and we build and toast it right there on the spot, packaged flavored marshmallows, marshmallow pops, freshly made cupcakes and delicious milkshakes using blue bell ice cream!

History

Established in 2013.

We started making our gourmet marshmallows from a home kitchen for friends and family. Soon our marshmallows were in demand so in August 2013 we ran a successful Kickstarter campaign (online fundraising website) and doubled our goal! This gave us the funds we needed to start an online store, stat shipping across the USA and reach our local community at various farmers markets in Arizona. After a few months, local news and magazines started publishing our gourmet marshmallows and pretty soon we had to find a location. We are now operating a small location in Gilbert AZ and hope to expand in the near future. We still offer our marshmallows online for shipping but now we also offer America's 1st and only operating S'mores Bar and shop fully dedicated to everybody's favorite treat, the marshmallow!

Meet the Business Owner: Tricia A.

Tricia has always loved local small owned coffee and bakery shops. Growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico she frequented a local shop that offered a bounty of sweets with a great cup of joe. Customers lined up and hung out to read, do homework, socialize or just people watch (this was before the internet!) She has always held on to the warm and positive feelings of that local coffee shop and hoped one day she could create her own. Fast forward 15 years, Tricia was challenged by a friendly work competition at her full-time job to create a homemade treat made of marshmallows. Instead of buying marshmallows from the store, she researched how to make a homemade marshmallow. Her attempt although not the prettiest, did win her the competition and started a love affair for these fluffy treats! Tricia's has truly perfected her marshmallow recipe and the business has grown quickly. On August 8, 2014 and Tricia and her wife, Hazel Arce opened the first Marshmallow Cafe in the USA.

The design we discussed and were shown was a spatula-lined, ripple-style cake with a true ombré effect, starting with a rich plum at the bottom and gradually fading through soft shades of purple into white at the top. What we received did not reflect that vision. The cake was a very dark plum throughout, the finish looked uneven, and the ombré effect was not present. My husband immediately noticed that it wasn't what we had asked for, and it was honestly upsetting to see something so different from what we expected. That said, the flavor was absolutely delicious and truly the saving grace. We chose a more unconventional flavor combination of lemon cake with blueberry compote, and it tasted incredible. Many of our guests commented on how good it was. While the cake tasted wonderful, the visual execution did not align with what was requested or shown during the design process. Given how meaningful the wedding cake is as both a focal point and photo moment, this was really disappointing for us. I did exactly that, same day. That was 5/27. It is now 6/9 and I have not heard a word back. No email, no call, no text. The original incident was 5/10, so we are at 30 days now. This was a different category of foreign body in food: fragments that looked like they came off equipment, which means whatever produced them is presumably still in use, still capable of doing it again to the next person. This is what made the unresponsiveness frustrating. It's not about my daughter's one açaí bowl, it's about whether the thing that caused it ever got looked at. A simple "we looked at it, can't determine yet what happened, but we'll update you" would have been fine, but I got boilerplate "you deserve better" corporate slop. I didn't want my ego stroked, I wanted them to look into something serious. But the private follow-up, the part nobody else is watching, has now gone three weeks radio silent, after they were the ones who asked for my number, but never used it. I'm done with them, they lost my trust. For the record, their açaí bowls when they don't contain bits of industrial machinery are pretty good, but we'll go to Swami's when we are in Oceanside and will try to find something else in the valley.

I will have to come back here to get a better idea of the overall quality. I got one of the shakes...the Bam Bam I think it was. Good idea..taste was ...eh. Its a shake, with Fruity Pebbles mixed in. Sounds awesome yeah? I really wasn't impressed. Way too heavy..and the fruity got lost when you grind up the pebbles. The coffees look really good, so I will probably go with one of those next time. I also like homemade marshmallows, so I may try some. They don't have my fav, a marshmallow with a light dusting of finely ground coconut, ( Think 'Suaves' from Mazatlan, Mexico) but I will find something I like. The sundaes LOOK great, but im sure are WAY too sweet for me. My wife loved hers. It was a hot, gooey mess....kind of like her! HAHAH! The world needs more niche places like this. read more

One word, AMAZING! I tried this place after seeing a video posted on Facebook about it. After realizing that the tasty looking marshmallow treats were made in a place not too far from my work, my girlfriend and I decided to stop in during lunch break. I got the Grasshopper S'More, which the girl helping us recommended. It was fantastic and reminded me of Andes Candies (which I think was the point). My Co-worker got the Snickers S'More and this too also lived up to its recommendation . Both S'mores came with the option of getting your mallow-goodness plopped between two warm delicious cookies or put into a graham cracker bowl (we both opted for the cookies). Need to say this place is dangerous being so close to work. I will be returning with friends! read more

A close friend in the Phoenix area told me about this company and the incredible marshmellow treats they make. Living in Texas I was a little worried how my order might look when it arrived? I was incredibly happy when my marshmellow hearts arrived in perfect condition. The made my wife and grandchildren so happy and were, well. Darn good tasting too. I will order from them anytime and have recommended them to friends who want to send someone something different and delicious. read more

Pretty cool idea for a desert place. It's right next to the grove wich is nice. The s'mores they sale are super tasty and delicious just be prepared to spend 15$ for desert for two. I also have it 3 stars only because I think the marshmallow could be toasted closer to a melt and that would be nice but they use torches that do an ok job. They have to do it that way too or else it would take a long time to get a desert as there are always several people here in line m. read more

Love this place! Hidden gem for sure, they have some many sweet drinks, chocolate and lots more. We had the mallows covered in chocolate and a chocolate smoothie drink that was so good! Very friendly staff, was greeted as soon as i walked in the door! I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, very nice people and love what they do. We found them in a local Facebook group and didn't even know it was right next to our house. I recommend you giving them a try. read more

Went in to get 9 cupcakes. the girl behind the register not even a hello. Attitude from the get go. I had enough points to get a free item and she asked me what I wanted but when I paid I noticed the item was not there so I asked. She rudely said they were out of those marshmallows, so I wasn't getting anything. Did not even offer a replacement. Just a nasty mood she was in. Nothing pleasant about her. Angels from marshmallow heaven, with fluff wings covered in sprinkles, floated down ever so gently and lifted me upward, to that special cloud reserved for purveyors of bliss. This place is amazing. I love supporting local businesses. I ordered some marshmallow Peep pops and they were awesome. Fresh, yummy and absolutely adorable. I highly recommend any of their products - they are all wonderful. Check out their website for shipping if you don't make it out to the east valley very often. They are awesome! While this place is over priced, I did enjoy my smores bowl. It's a cute place to bring a friend but don't bring too many because theres literally 3 seats to sit in which is a big disappointment. The young girl was friendly but the other staff was not. Not a place I'd recommend on a regular basis but you do need to stop in once to try the smores bowl! read more

This place was sooo good! My husband and I enjoyed the Frozen Hot chocolate! And my kids loved the unicorn s'more! Only complaint would be the purple frosting, on the s'more. It was pretty, but tasted like straight food coloring. We will definitely be going back, and they will probably get the unicorn s'mores again(without the frosting ) read more

I had to come here after my friend shared a video of Fluff It on Facebook. My S'more though! I got the birthday cake S'more on cookies. As I watched them fire my marshmallow, I was salivating. Amazingness in your mouth! Must try the cookie monster milkshake! My sister and I were on a walk around town ....we walked by this place and HAD to come back....but it didn't open till 12 andbit was only 10am!! Fluffit is seriously the best! Custom smores made before your very eyes with homemade graham crackers or cookies??!! Yes please. Plus you can never go wrong with a frozen hot chocolate, mallowpop, or their version of an Almond Joy. There's so many other tasty treats! read more

I'm definitely a fan. The mini-smores are legit. My wife loves the oatmeal cream-pie. The square marshmallows that came pre-packaged in the square shapes were not my favorite, but weren't bad. This is a great place to mix it up! The staff is super nice! read more
