We were feeling like cupcakes today so we went to Bada Bling in Gilbert. We were greeted and made to feel welcomed as soon as we stepped in. We came at 4:30 and still had more than enough options to choose from. I happened to like frosting and it was fun to see adorable frosting cups although I didn't purchase one. We opted for the tuxedo, pins colada, cinnamon and s'mores cupcakes. The tuxedo was rich and balanced, with smooth chocolate with vanilla frosting that felt classic and satisfying. The Piña Colada was light and tropical, with coconut and pineapple adding a fresh, summery twist. The Cinnamon had a warm, cozy spice--simple, comforting, and perfect with my after dinner coffee. S'mores was sweet and nostalgic, capturing chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker in a fun way. Overall, a great mix of classic and playful. I stumbled upon Bada Bling Cupcakes one weekend when I was walking into the Dollar Tree next door. You KNOW I had to go see what it was about!! This place is adorable! They decorate for the holidays and currently they have Superbowl Cupcakes for the big game tomorrow. The merch is hilarious and the t-shirts they sell kill me all the time!! The staff is always friendly and the store is always clean. I don't usually like cupcake frosting because you can taste the gritty sugar. However, the frosting on the cupcakes here is delicious! It's nice and smooth, and not super sweet. I also love that their pricing isn't outrageous and the cupcakes are so moist!! I hate dry, crumbly ones! This cupcake shop is so cute and the decor is Beetlejuice and I absolutely loved it! My 5 year old thought it was so cool. We had their Lemon Boo-Berry, Biscoff chocolate, Snickers and Cannoli and they did not disappoint! The cake itself is super light and moist. The frosting is so good and not overly sweet. Absolutely had the best experience ever at Bada bling cupcakes today! The owner is amazing so much fun so bubbly so engaging. The shop is unbelievably cute Beetlejuice themed. It's such a destination. We stayed for two hours. Didn't wanna leave. It was so much fun. And the cupcakes and the treats oh my God amazing! The cupcakes were moist and tender so much flavor and the frosting is unbelievable. I don't know what they do or how they make it but it's incredible. The gourmet cookies outlandishly good they're huge and so flavorful and just like you like it crunchy in the outer edges and yummy and gooey on the oh my God, they're so good. I bought seven of them. Walked in late on a Saturday afternoon and the lady running the counter was so kind! Told us all about how their are new flavors every day and apologized that they were running low after a busy day (what a great problem for a small biz!) my boys loved the cake pops said they were the best flavor ever. We visited Bada Bling for the first time today with friends. Service was great and staff walked us through the various cupcakes and treats. They also have goodies for the pups for sale. We bought cake pops, mini cupcake, and a brownie bar. They have gluten free options! The interior was decorated for Halloween and the cupcakes and treats were also Halloween themed. What a cute place in a strip mall. I ordered little cupcakes for a birthday party and they were a hit. I got two flavors One of course was chocolate and the second flavor was red velvet. Both were yummy and they were pretty. I met both the wife who I have known a Long time and her lovely husband. They run a great cupcake bakery and they also make cake pops. Honestly this place dishes out pretty cupcakes BUT most of the cakes ended up in the trash. All of the frostings taste EXACTLY THE SAME. One of them was poorly mixed and crunchy (the sugar) the frosting taste like straight butter or shortening. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had been a loyal customer for a year before I learned what this company does. First "baked fresh daily" is a lie you can tell from the Instagram post of flavors it's the same ones with the same decorations every couple days. After they freeze and then thaw the ones that don't sell. Second they hired an employee and she just vanished and the owners continuously speak badly about her because she was Hispanic when it was because they had no money to pay her $11 an hour only two days a week (not busy enough) yet they just hired another employee. Third if you just pay attention to the decorations on the cupcakes it is dollar store product which nothing against that. The problem comes with buying $1.25 product and pricing it 5x as much for a mediocre product. This company is extremely unprofessional and uses their customers to save face. Then turns around and gossip about their customers which I have first hand witnessed when they forgot I was in the store sitting in a far corner when they went and started gossiping about not only the customers that came in bought product then left but also people walking around outside. read more

I was very excited to see a cupcake place closer to home... but alas, I was let down. To my surprise, there weren't many flavor options, I saw only four or five different options, so I chose a carrot cake, a chocolate and a churro cupcake. They did look appealing but also quite small for the price. Three cupcakes added up to about 15 dollars. Which I would understand... if the cupcakes were outstandingly tasty. One main thing I noticed, was each frosting tasted exactly the same, like a bunch of butter and sugar. I'd suggest maybe adding more variety in the type of frosting for each cupcake, I was sad when I didn't taste a classic cream cheese frosting on the carrot cake. The cake itself was also very underwhelming, I've had a good share of cupcakes in my days and I didn't find these to be particularly moist and tasty. The best cake was from the gluten free chocolate cupcake, but the frosting took the quality down instead of complementing the cupcake. The service was okay, I found that the vibe of the place was a bit bitter as I ordered my cupcakes. But I didn't mind it. These cupcakes are my absolute favorite! I've tried so many different flavors and each one is so good. I always have a difficult time selecting which one, two, or six that I want! I despise chocolate cake (it's typically dry/flavorless) and because of that I was hesitant to try one of their chocolate based however I was pleasantly surprised. I love this bakery. I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. The cup cakes were good, but the service was above and beyond. I called to place an order and my credit card was not processing. I went in person and it wasn't processing. I was so embarrassed, but the owners of this bakery were so incredibly kind. I went to the bank, found out Chase was having a massive outage, but they could give me cash. I went back and got my cupcakes, at which point I had a pleasant conversation with one of the owners. 2/24/24: A month late getting this written but the experience still rings in my memory as "wow". :-) We have been watching baking shows on the telly & were craving some sweets. Since we had eaten dinner in the area, we finally decided to pop in to Bada Bling. The man (husband) who helped us was extremely courteous and fun to talk with. He explained how they had just celebrated their one-year anniversary at the store that morning (hence the "1" sugar cookies & disco ball on the cupcakes) and it was a big success. He was very excited about it and it was fun talking with him. Their display cases were well lit and superbly displayed + they had a few other vendors' wares for sale. The cupcakes were light and airy, no overly strong flavors, and their icing was smooth and creamy -- and not piled on 2" high to put you in a sugar coma. There is plenty of parking out front, the staff was friendly, the 'cakes were dee-lish and the next time we are in the area we will definitely pop in for more treats. P.S. Had my first delicious Bada Bling Cupcakes today and they are delicious. I prefer cupcakes over cake (weird I know) and single cupcakes are expensive (about $4.50 to $5 each for a regular size). The best kept secret is BBC has a Happy Hour. You have to check it out. The cupcakes are made fresh, daily. They have gluten free and a place to sit and enjoy your hot chocolate with marshmallows. Yummy. They are also packaged nicely for a great hostess gift. The in-store selection is just right so there is something fresh for everyone in the family. My god that buttercream is what all frosting should taste like. You don't realize how boujee you are until you try her cupcakes or Lisa's rum cake are the only two places I'm not ever mad about the frosting. I absolutely cringe over grocery store frostings. Ever since I can remember when I was really little I would scrape off the frosting of every store bought cake because it's just repulsive. The cupcakes are delicious. Great texture, delicious frosting, and beautiful. I had a coconut lime cupcake. I can't remember the exact flavor. It was really good. The atmosphere was also spectacular. We stopped here for cupcakes for my birthday. I am gluten free and they have a daily GF cupcake. They had a large variety. My daughter got a vanilla, the youngest got fruity gummy nerd, my son got bubblegum, and ny husband got the peppermint patty. Oh and I had the GF chocolate peanut butter. I wasn't sure about chocolate peanut butter but it ended up being one of the best cupcakes I've had and by far the best GF one in Gilbert. Oh and you get a free mini if you go in on your birthday.
